I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Mac-Ave. From the moment I called and spoke with Jacquie about the issue to walking into the store, she is very pleasant, knowledgeable and took time to answer my questions. My experience was very positive, friendly and I enjoyed the fact this is a family business. Worked with different members there and they were all very pleasant, remembered my name, treated me like a person and not a number. When I wanted to upgrade my 9 yr old ipad, after researching different places & pricing I decided to take my business to Mac-Ave. They were competitively priced (even better than two other stores), offered services I wouldn't receive from online purchases or box stores. When I pointed out that they were trying to send me a cheaper laptop than what I paid for, they assured me they would send me the difference. Of course, they stopped reresponding to me on newegg and refused to pick up my calls once it was time to pay me the difference in value. The laptop I did receive was not set up properly, and I had to set up access to the partitioned drive myself. I also had to install my own screen brightness program. They are frankensteined, partially finished computers, and a shop run by liars.

I call him at 830 and now he is leaving town for 2 weeks and can't come look at my PC. When I tell him this is terrible business practice his only response is "It is what it is" and hangs up. Dude strung me along for nothing. If he didn't want to come out he could've just said that and I could've found someone else. Now it is Saturday morning with most repair shops closed for the weekend.

The mini usb connection was ripped off the processor board and is considered a micro soldering repair. I went to 5 repair shops local where I live and none would touch it. I ended up coming to Rochester for my son's high school event today and seen Dragon Computer Tech was the only one open on a Sunday. I called him and he had me send a few pictures and then ended up stopping by his place where he looked at everything and explained that it would be a very difficult repair due to the size and placement of everything but he was willing to do it. He made his first repair and we check it in my vehicle and it ended up needing an adjustment. Second time work like a charm and he just saved me close to 1k if I had to replace everything.

Very fast and prompt response time and answered every question I had. Dropped my console off on a Wednesday night and had it back in my hands the next day. Worked flawlessly and they even touched up some of the thermal paste for me free of charge. Also had problems with my kids 3DS that no one else would look at or try and fix but ACS told me to bring it in and they would fix it if they could, which was a very unexpected bonus(just waiting on the parts to come in to have it fixed) Overall an incredible, simple, and easy experience and will recommend them to anyone I can for any type of console/electronic repair, am very satsified!!!

Stan's a real sensei when it comes to servicing Macs... and to top it off, he is a real Rastafarian. Everyone I've referred to him have turned around and referred others. He is at the very top and way back of an office building on East Main called Lozier. I had to ask a few people along the way where Jim was located, but they were all friendly and pointed me where I needed to go. He had to take my laptop apart to get the broken piece out, so I left it with him. When I said I worked til 5pm he offered to drop it off to me at work after he was done with the repair. He was a bit confused getting there, but eventually delivered my laptop, saving me a trip back down East Main with all the construction.
