I dropped my I pad and broke the screen I was told that they could not fix the touch button but they could repair the screen so I said ok. They took about two weeks to fix it When I got it home I found out that the screen calibration is way off and it makes the iPad almost unusable. I got no where with fallow up with them. Was quoted $85 to put a battery in my samsung phone by the corporate line that answered the phone and set me up with an appointment. When I got there after driving an hour the technician told me it would be $290 because when they install a battery they have to replace the screen also. Needless to say I left unhappy and went and bought a new phone. You think whoever answers the phone might be a bit more educated. read more

The first time I took my MacBook they did wonderful when I needed my screen replaced. Explained everything in detail about the warranty. Now when I take it back this time around I got no communication that it's unrepairable due to a fried board. They just handed it back over and said nothing. Only told me when I asked them if they were able to fix it did they just say "no, its unrepairable" and then i had to keep asking questions as if they didnt want to tell me whats wrong. I took my phone iPhone X into U Break I Fix after being scammed out of $162 at one of those awful mall kiosks- they actually damaged my phone and refused to fix it or refund my money. The tech, Shawn, who helped me at this store was awesome! He fixed my phone within an hour or so of me bringing it in, was incredibly helpful, hooked me up w a discount, and I was on my way. What was an incredibly stressful situation was completely remedied, and I can't thank this guy enough! I will 10000% never be taking my phone elsewhere. It was faster and far cheaper than using the ridiculous "insurance" that I pay for through Apple and also Verizon. These guys definitely have my business from now on. read more

I walked into uBreakiFix this morning after having a wretched experience at Best Buy with the Geek Squad. My son and I both had problems with our iPhone charging ports. The Geek Squad told me they would need to send our phones to Apple, it could take 2 weeks, and they had no loaner phones. We immediately left and went across the street to uBreakiFix. I bought a replacement battery for my iPhone 7 on Amazon. While installing the battery, I broke the LCD screen cable. I found this repair shop after trying several others that were not responding back to me. Although they would not use my battery (they use Apple only), in two hours, I had my iPhone back as good as new! DO NOT LEAVE THE STORE WITHOUT DOCUMENTING THE STATE OF YOUR DEVICE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY HAND IT TO YOU. I don't often complain about poor service. But this was dismal, and I feel obligated to document it so that nobody else goes through what just happened to me. I dropped and broke my factory screen on my Google Pixel 2, and brought it in to the Greece location to be replaced. They had it done relatively fast - only a couple hours. However, only a few days later, the speakers started acting up. The next day, the entire screen except the TOP LEFT(top left is an important detail in this case) corner would not work, and the top left was slightly visible, but tinted green. This was Friday of that same week. Today, Saturday, I brought it in to be fixed again. There was indeed a small crack in the top left corner which I hadn't really noticed until we looked at it in the store. They told me they could give me a discount since it was so soon, but could not refund me because the screen was cracked. In those few days since the original repair, I did not drop it, put it in my pocket along with any other items that may have damaged it, or submit it to any stress whatsoever. I did make 2 phone calls - and since I am right handed I press the top left corner of the screen up against my ear when talking. This is where the problem is. After this second fix, I got in my car and thoroughly looked over the phone and found that the TOP LEFT corner of the screen wasn't fully seated in the body of the phone and I could even get my fingernail underneath it and bend it. I turned around and went back in. They re-seated the screen, but explained that I still couldn't get a refund on the previous repair. At this point, it's pretty obvious that the top left corner wasn't seated right the first time either, which is why it broke. However, UBreakIFix will always assume damage is your fault unless you have pictures to prove it is their fault (Which most people will not have). It is safe to say that they will hide behind that policy in almost any situation, and that their promise only lasts from when they hand you the phone at the counter until you step foot outside the shop. I'm lucky I had insurance for the original fix, because they just charged me $100 dollars to fix a replacement screen that they surely didn't put on right in the first place. So PLEASE, if they "guarantee" a perfectly fixed device, be skeptical and look it over yourself before you walk out of the door. Otherwise any damage or improper function will be assumed to be your fault when you bring it back in. Absolutely not trusting this place again. read more

I took my daughter's iPhone7 to have the screen replaced. Matthew took a look at it and determined the battery was overheating and needed to be replaced. Told me the screen was not the problem. My mistake was not reading the Initial Technician Notes with the same implication Matthew wrote it in. He stated the home button was "not functioning properly". Once the battery was replaced, the home button no longer functioned at all. Except it worked when I brought it into the repair shop. I called the store after returning home and Matthew M. stated over and over, that it was on the receipt and I had signed it. I asked what needed to happen to fix the button and he said the screen needed to be replaced. This was never mentioned before the battery was replaced. Not even mentioned while I was still at the store. I could have had the screen replaced and her phone would work properly. I feel like I was taken advantage of and am FURIOUS. read more
