I brought my high end bike tire for a simple flat repair. The guy Khalil (or Galil) did it himself and since today (labor day) was not busy i asked to wait. He said yes and i watched him. Asked him how long he has been doing this, he said 50 years. Ok, so i figured he can handle this easy. I WAS DEAD WRONG. The whole thing was a disaster. 1st off, he was using a screw driver looking tool that had a spoon looking tip to remove and put back the tire. He also at a few times used this forceps looking pliers to force the tire into the rim. He tried fixing it puncturing an initial inner tube. Then he took it out coz the new tube is now also punctured. He tried again (removing the 1st replacement inner tube) replacing it with a 2nd inner tube. Now hes looking frustrated and forcing the tire into the rim with these hand tools. In the end he gave up complaining that everything in the design of the tire to not being the right size for the rim. Before i left, i told him he damaged and scratched my rims which he denied but if i did not take the photo, then im just lying and making things up right ‍ Keep in mind this is a Cannondale stock bike wc i bought from a Cannondale factory store (Carle Place, now closed) Please be careful of this store. This is not a store i will recommend or patronize. In fact i will have the tire and now rim repaired by the a Cannondale dealer when they open tomorrow (9/7/21) I am extremely disappointed with the outcome This store has an almost 5 star rating Plus particularly i did not notice that he carried famous brand name bikes. I needed two tires for my bike that was laying in my shed for 30 years I bought it to lynbrook bicycle and the man there took me right away and helped me carry the bike in so instead of me leaving my bike there he said he would change the tires and put new tube and tires on the bike so I left went a little shopping came back and the man was cleaning my bike taking a little Rust Marks off, which he didn't have to do and the price was right I will bring it back to him if I need anything more I recommend him highly read more

15 years ago the brakes on my Mom's rollator (walker with wheels and hand brakes) broke. I wasn't sure if they could help but the gentleman took it and immediately started working on it. He fixed them in no time. When I asked what I owed him he said, "Nothing." I was shocked! He wouldn't take payment...but I insisted that he take a tip. Gotta love a small hometown gem of a store! This shop is located in a strip of stores that were severely damaged in a fire last year. It was really sad because everything was lost. The place (and owner) had been there since I was a kid! My family brought their bikes to be serviced, bought bikes, and it was all destroyed. I was so happy to see this past February, the store was being rebuilt. I drove past the other day and saw it was back in business. My mom and I decided to dust off our bikes and bring them in for a tune up. Coming back to the store, you would never know a few months ago this place was just ashes. It looked amazing inside, with new shiny bikes and supplies. The owner had a big smile on his face and we welcomed him back, wholeheartedly. He must be 80 years old and he is still going strong, lifting our bikes out of the trunk of the car. It was around 3:00PM and he asked if we wanted the bikes done that same day! We decided to pick them up the next day. My mom and I came down today to pick them up, and the tiny store was crowded! We had to wait outside. This was great to see. We got inside and our bikes looked brand-spanken new! They had brand new tires, a new cushy seat and all the dust and cobwebs were cleaned off. I was so excited to hop on my new ride! The cost of the tune-up was $40 and the new seat (which I asked for) was $30. Completely worth it for a whole spring and summer of riding. This guy works wonders, so if you think you have an old junker of a bike, bring it to Lynbrook Bicycles and you will be surprised at what shiny "new" piece comes out. read more

Excellent workmanship. Quick and efficient service. I went in with my bike to have the back tire replaced. The owner, Khalil, who has been there 33 years, took care of me right away. He put my bike immediately up on the rack. He changed the tire, checked the alignment, the brakes, the kickstand and tightened all necessary bolts. I was out of there in less than ten minutes. I will never take my bike anywhere else. It does not bother me that he is not close to my home. I don't mind making the longer drive to make sure my bike is fixed properly. He obviously loves his craft and he cares about his customers. These are qualities lacking in today's society and very refreshing to see. read more

I went to this guy Khalil because he was the one that change the tube on my rear tire of my bike. At first he was helpful. Then when I went back to him because I was having problems with pedaling after he had change my bicycle and asked him to take a look at it, he embarrassed me in front of all his customers and started yelling at me. Brought two of my beach cruisers in here for a tune up and to fix a reoccurring issue with both bikes. The owner was extremely helpful and was able to have my bikes up and running the same day. The quality of service was great and I will definitely come back again. My only complaint about this place is that the shop is fairly small so there is not much room to look at the bikes for sale and the parking is limited. Luckily on the weekends street parking is readily available. Even with these small issues I would definitely recommend this place to all my family members. read more

Bought a bike here for my brother as a gift. I didn't know what size to get, but I gave the owner my brother's height and it ended up fitting great. He also helped me pack it into my tiny Toyota Corolla, which was above and beyond. Decided to start riding again. Brought my son's 1980s era Schwinn World Sport in to fix a problem with the chain - it was slipping. Lynbrook Bike fixed the bike in 1 day. Rides like new. Had a similar issue with the bike a while ago. Went to a local bike store in "the five towns." charge was twice the cost at Lynbrook, took a week+ to repair, they tried to sell me a $700 bike and... the issue with the chain slipping returned. This shop is incredible. $25 for a full tune-up (the owner even included some minor repairs with the price). I haven't witnessed this great of service from any bike shop like this. I live in Rockville Centre and our bike shop in town charges at least $50 MORE for a tune-up than Lynbrook Bicycles. The owner, an elderly man who has clearly been doing this for years, is overtly passionate and won't stop at anything until you've been completely satisfied. I've been to bicycle stores all over Long Island, but have never before been so impressed! When you use a wheelchair, bicycle stores are necessary for tires, tubes and that all important pump. I'm a little rough on my wheelchair - I'll go down a flight or two of stairs if the elevator is out - and it was starting to show. I had broken almost half of my spokes, and three other repair shops couldn't get the right size. I had to switch to a second hand set of wheels until I could get my spokes replaced, and they didn't fit my chair correctly, so I couldn't go far. When I called the store, the gentleman told me to bring in the wheels and he would see what he could do. Upon my arrival, he was helping another person try to fit a carrier onto her car. He actually suggested another store to her! (He didn't carry the model for her car). He looked at my wheels and said he would do his best. When he told me his price, it was so much lower than the other stores that I asked him to also replace the tires and tubes. I got my wheels back this afternoon and am mobile again, thanks to Mr. K! It's such a pleasure to push a couple of miles again! I've already recommended him to someone else, and will continue to do so. If you want a kind, compassionate gentleman to competently fix your bicycle (or wheelchair tires) look no further. You'll want to be his friend for life! read more

First off called to see his hours and he was extremely rude on the phone, once in person he was a little better, he over inflated tire on the drive home the tire exploded. Upon going back to confront him about damages he got so loud and hostile and refused to pay for damages for tire and tube, finally got my money back!
