Trek bicycle of Plainview a fairly new opened store in the shopping center near CVS and Banana Republic. There is a sign out side noting they fix any kind of bicycle. I went in to check the store out. Trek bikes all in a row of different shapes and sizes with wider tires, and children's bikes as well. Marcus, John, Tom and Carri all seemed nice. Tom is really into Bicycles and seems to know allot. I asked about a tune up for a stationary bike. I was told, if I can bring it there they can examine it to see if they can do it. I was given their business card from John and suggested to take a picture of it and send it to them for review. They have many accessories including clothing of sorts in colorful average or small sizes from what I saw. I questioned some sneakers I had seen they go by metric sizes and I did get my foot measured, they are listed as 170.00 and have a unique placement on the bottom to fit and lock into the bicycle petals. Seems you turn your foot one way to lock and turn another to unlock. Most interesting the newer things that have changed from the "old days". That said the bicycles are unisex and some bars are a bit lower than others. Something I always thought was helpful particularly on the men's versions. Not having purchased a bicycle there or accessories for it, I am not the one to note prices and values in comparisons. With this Pandemic, Bicycles seems a real come back to get the family out with some healthy exercise and maybe fresh air and sunshine as the milder weather is coming about.

    Obsessed!

Anytime I need help with my bike or feel like spending all my money to fuel my addiction, this place is always willing to help! The employees are really friendly and seem genuinely happy to assist me. The manager, John, has helped me pick out two different bikes that I'm obsessed with. He was patient, understood what I was looking for and just wanted me to be happy. Sammy is always great with the technical aspects and knows how to put a killer kit together! Tom is always friendly and welcoming to everyone. The bikes are phenomenal and worth every penny. I've gone on a few of their group rides and had fun hanging out with everyone while getting miles in. I'll definitely go back because they have a lifetime customer!

I ended up going home and researching other bike shops. Lo and behold - Bicycle Planet. I called them on the phone and they were able to tell me the inventory they had. They also answered a few questions I had about a kids bikes (this was a present for our son's birthday). I decided to take a little excursion to Syosset to check it out in person. When I got to Bicycle Planet, a guy named Diego helped me. He went over their different options and brands. The orange and blue Specialized I was looking at at the original bike shop was $80 cheaper here. All of their bikes were competitively priced. I picked out the Giant brand bike for my son because red is his favorite color. It is a beautiful and well-made bike. They were able to add on the training wheels for me since our guy is just learning how to ride, but he's getting the hang of it pretty quick. And of course - what bike would be complete without a silver bell? Once I had selected the bike, someone in the tech/assembly department spent a good 20 minutes or so inspecting the bike and ensuring its safety and that everything was in good working order. Diego brought it to my car and helped me get it into the trunk of my car - would definitely love a bike rack in the future especially for when we ride as a family because I think we all want new bikes now! Plus, Diego said that the bike purchase comes with a year of free tune-ups which is pretty sweet. The look on my son's face when we surprised him with this bole was just epic. And the service here at Bicycle Planet is top-notch. If you're looking for a new set of wheels, this is the place to go.

I did't want anything cheap and also wanted to explore the option of getting a trailer for our daughter instead of a bike seat for both comfort and safety. I had seen these a few times and knew it was an option that would be worth the extra expense. After reading several reviews, I took a ride and ventured in where I met Kevin. Very personable and knowledgeable as well, I explained what I was looking for and the extras I wanted to add. Kevin took the time to show me different available options in different price points. We finally came down to two separate possibilities and he had some that were built up for other customers that I could look at. Once I made my selection, Kevin helped me choose some extra safety items for the bike, such as a front and back light- both rechargeable - a water bottle holder and matching bottle, a cell phone holder to match and a trailer from Copilot that would fill our needs. Everything needed to be easy to access, use and setup. I know my wife- if it is difficult, I may as well not spend the money. For a decent fee, I didn't have to empty my SUV and cart it home- in just a day, the bike was built and they were calling to arrange delivery. Upon delivery, the nice gentleman brought everything into the house and proceeded to explain exactly how everything worked. From setup of the trailer and the functions of the light settings, the hitch and the trailer connection, I got a really good education on putting it all together. By the time the delivery/expert left, I felt I could very easily put it all together and take it apart and more importantly, explain it to the mad Russian (my wife). Not sure if it was a function of the holidays, but the store is absolutely packed with boxes of boxes of bicycles- pretty much from floor to ceiling so be prepared for close quarters when you go in. Anything you could ever possibly want in a bike is available, you just may have to look at it on the computer screen. If you need to actually touch what you're buying before pulling the buy trigger, this might be a problem for you. Luckily for me, they had two choices of bicycles built up for customers so I could actually see what I was getting. I haven't had a service issue yet so I'll hold off on the fifth star- but if everyone else at the store is as competent as Kevin, I'm sure ill be adding a follow up to my review in the future. Well done!

At no point should bolts randomly fling off your bike while you going down the Brooklyn bridge going 24mph. I'm a high school student and I had to pay for my bike with my own money. I've been working since 10th grade to help my mom because she is a single parent so for me the loss of about 5k including repairs leave me without transportation as I can not afford to repair it at this point. I've spent 3.7k on a bike, this isn't including the repairs i had to pay over the span of a year which amount to at least 1.4k+ after random bolts detaching and motor failing, and as soon as the warranty expired my bike had a random electrical issue where the bike wouldn't accelerate. From the owner Pete: OK, where are you going? (Direct email sent from owner) 1- Last Mile NYC replaces all of the electronics on your bike. The cost of the parts and labor is $2910.54 2- Send your bike back to Super73. They will do their own diagnosis, and determine the issues and fix the problems. Unfortunately your bike is not under warranty, the cost of packing up and freighting your bike to and from Super73 will be around $1200. Plus their diagnostic fee, parts and labor.
