I was looking for a nice bicycle for my wife to take our daughter for a ride as the weather moves into spring and to solve another issue with what to get for a Christmas present. I did't want anything cheap and also wanted to explore the option of getting a trailer for our daughter instead of a bike seat for both comfort and safety. I had seen these a few times and knew it was an option that would be worth the extra expense. After reading several reviews, I took a ride and ventured in where I met Kevin. Very personable and knowledgeable as well, I explained what I was looking for and the extras I wanted to add. Kevin took the time to show me different available options in different price points. We finally came down to two separate possibilities and he had some that were built up for other customers that I could look at. Once I made my selection, Kevin helped me choose some extra safety items for the bike, such as a front and back light- both rechargeable - a water bottle holder and matching bottle, a cell phone holder to match and a trailer from Copilot that would fill our needs. Everything needed to be easy to access, use and setup. I know my wife- if it is difficult, I may as well not spend the money. For a decent fee, I didn't have to empty my SUV and cart it home- in just a day, the bike was built and they were calling to arrange delivery. Upon delivery, the nice gentleman brought everything into the house and proceeded to explain exactly how everything worked. From setup of the trailer and the functions of the light settings, the hitch and the trailer connection, I got a really good education on putting it all together. By the time the delivery/expert left, I felt I could very easily put it all together and take it apart and more importantly, explain it to the mad Russian (my wife). Not sure if it was a function of the holidays, but the store is absolutely packed with boxes of boxes of bicycles- pretty much from floor to ceiling so be prepared for close quarters when you go in. Anything you could ever possibly want in a bike is available, you just may have to look at it on the computer screen. If you need to actually touch what you're buying before pulling the buy trigger, this might be a problem for you. Luckily for me, they had two choices of bicycles built up for customers so I could actually see what I was getting. I haven't had a service issue yet so I'll hold off on the fifth star- but if everyone else at the store is as competent as Kevin, I'm sure ill be adding a follow up to my review in the future. Enjoying the ride on my new bike from Cyclefast today. Austin spend the time to help explain the various bike sizes and help me identify a grave mistake I made ordering a medium Bike online. He was kind enough to swap for an xLarge bike which was the correct size. Luckily, the issue was identified within 15 minute of picking up the bike. I returned the bike and he kindly exchanged. If you ever bought a bike or electronics, exchange is not an option. Because I never rode the bike and found the issue within minutes he accommodated. If I rode the bike for a few days or made any small scratch, I would not demand or expect the business to be liable for my mistake. I wasn't yelling at him or demanding as a consumer. Austin actually offered understanding my situation whichI really appreciated it. The bicycle business is certainly not easy and I appreciate his accommodation. I had nothing short of a 5 Star experience here. If you check out my reviews I hate bike shops on LI. They are terrible to deal with and always backed up with work and charge way more than in NYC. I usually go there when I have a bike issue. I have tried several shops out here and had nightmares in the past. Rolled up here unannounced with my bike that needed simple repair. Really knowledgeable bike tech and I discussed the work that i wanted completed and the different scenarios. He worked with me and my timeline and agreed to take care of it ASAP while I waited. He also suggested other small maintenance work to do as well and it made sense since the bike is in the shop already. I did not think he was talking down to me because he knew his stuff. I didnt get that impression at all in the shop. The bill was fair with the amount of money he charged me. I left with my bike feeling brand new as I rode around the parking lot before I drove away. Overall this store stinks. For starters the entrance door seems like an after thought and it makes you feel like you are walking into an employees only section. Once inside the place is poorly lit and and quite messy. As you begin to look around you cant help but wonder if this is a bicycle shop or a helmet shop. They literally have helmets lined up everywhere, hundreds of them. The remainder of what could be a nice showroom is piled up with boxes upon boxes. If you are there to shop for a new bicycle the owner brings you to his small computer screen and has you shop for bikes off of his website, which was very off putting. If I wanted to shop online I could have just stayed at home. The staff including owner is another issue. They are somewhat rude and very condescending. You cant' talk bikes with them because you as the customer know nothing and they the experts know everything. Which further makes this place a very unpleasant place to be. This could be super bike shop it owner would read some of these negative reviews add address the the issues. Or sell it to someone who knows how to run retail. For now I shop at Bicycle Planet. This is a package that includes 4 Valve Cores and a Valve core tool, purchased for $ 3.99 plus tax at the auto parts store next door to this establishment. I went to Cycle Fast Bicycle to purchase 1 valve core. The owner gets a bag of about 20 or so, takes 1 out, walks to the register and without blinking an eye says $5 plus tax. I said How Much?? I got the same answer. So I go next door at Advanced Auto find the pictured package below and purchase it. Now I admit, Im not a valve core expert, but unless his $5+ valve core in the clear plastic bag was made of some type of rare metal, I think, no I know I was being way overcharged. They assume you know nothing. I asked to look at a few specific models I had seen online and wanted to get a feel for. I would give this place 0 stars if i could after my experiences. Last August, I was ripped off and taken advantage of from my local bike shop (Bike Depot in East Islip), so I was led to Cyclefast. I had worked with a man named Kevin, who helped me find the perfect bike for what I needed. The bike was NOT cheap, but I was highly satisfied with my purchase and Kevins assistance. Fastforward to 2021: My bike now needs a tune-up. I bring it in, and deal with someone by the name of Austin. I was quoted $180 on the phone (A LOT for a tune up if you know your info) but was ready and willing to pay, only for the price to change to $240 after Austin tells me I need a brand new chain (I didnt, it needed a deep cleaning but hey, im taking his word for it at the time). Before walking out of the shop and leaving my bike for the tuneup, i had told Austin that my seat clamp is broken, because everytime i ride the bike my seat starts twisting and turning. He says, quote "We will inspect the entire bike, and any issues we will take care of". I wait a week, then go to pick up my bike. Eager to get some miles in, I take it for a ride down my block. Not even 10mins in my ride, my back tire is completely flat, so i have my girlfriend drop it off for me the next day while i'm at work, and Austin CHARGED HER an extra 30$, telling her the tube is trashed and it wasnt like this when they handed it back etc. so now ive spent 270$ on the bike in a little less than a week. Whatever. I get my bike back, go on another ride, and immediately start hearing a hiss from my back tire. You guessed it!!! Another flat. So, my girlfriend goes to bring it back, this is now visit 3, and they CHARGE HER ANOTHER 30$ For a tube change, now suggesting that i need a new back tire (why wasnt this mentioned after the tune up?). Now we are both pissed, and confused because we are led to believe they actually inspect the bike during the tune up, but that doesnt seem to be the case at this shop. So i get my bike back, and go on my first ride back (AGAIN) and poof, you guessed it!! A microscopic cut in the tire. This time, I go to Babylon Bike Shop, and get myself a new tire & tube for 30$ (What i was getting charged for the tube + labor at cyclefast) and just put it on myself. I go to get on my bike for the next ride and my seat is sliding around, which is funny because Austin was specifically told about this problem prior to the tuneup, and said they would inspect everything. I go to hit the brakes on my bike and, now my rear brake wont even work. It was not tweaked with during the tire swap. So, at this point, my girlfriend goes back to Cyclefast and details the issues, now they are asking for 50$ to fix the brakes (??????) and when she mentions the seat problem that we notified them about prior to the tune up, they say its gonna be another 20$ to fix the seat, AFTER I TOLD THEM TO FIX IT PRIOR TO THE TUNEUP! I went online, and read reviews on Cyclefast for the first time ever, and realized I shouldve did my research from the start. This is a Money-Hungry bike shop, who doesnt care about their customers, or the customer service they deliver, they just want your money. To top it off, under every negative review posted online, you can find Austins responses, which discredit customer info, contradict statements they make, praise their staff even though they are all alike, and belittle the customer. I thought back, because everything has always been so overpriced, and i truly wouldnt be surprised if theres something fishy going on behind closed doors. I also found out through reading reviews, that they go by another name, and have another phone number & email address. My girlfriend picked uo my bike back today from what would be my last service from Cyclefast, and the old man behind the counter was extremely rude and confrontational to my girlfriend, she called me very frustrated and upset afterwards. I got completely ripped off out of $175. The manager sold me the wrong bottom bracket and cracks. I go install it on my bike, come to find out it don't fit. Go back to the store and actually run into the "owner" and guess what? He doesn't care to help me. So even tho they sold me the wrong part, because I opened the box and put in on the bike they won't do anything to help me. And he tries to say that "if they have done the labor". First of all, I would have to leave you my bike for a month for you to get it done because you're "very busy". Installing a bottom bracket and cranks is nothing out of this world. I build engines for a living and I rather do it myself. Now you've sold me the won't part and have acknowledge that is the wrong part because I showed you that the cracks barely threads into the bracket. If I crash because of this, you will be held responsible. Absolutely disgusting I will never come back to this place and will make sure everyone I know never gives their hard earned money to this shop. Will also be contacting the BBB. read more

I'm not leaving a bad review because of their bicycle range/selections because they do have a decent amount of selections. However, their customer service and attitude is horrible. From the moment we picked up our bikes, we were so disappointed with their customer service (we ordered online). A few weeks after getting our bikes from this shop, my boyfriend's chain came off the bike and it was his 3rd time using it, it came off as he was changing gears. We gave them a call and all they said "we are not doing repairs at the moment to find another location that does bike repairs." & to be honest, from the moment we rode our bikes we felt like something was off, clearly they half assed assembling our bikes, which is disappointing because we spent about $1,000. Us as customers are spending a lot of money and the least they can have is a good attitude. ‍ I will never be doing business with them again, that's all I know. Not sure about service or bike sales, but based on the lack of service I received I would recommend not coming here. I purchased a trunk rack which broke upon the first use and was told absolutely no returns as customers in the past have used racks once and returned them for no reason, very fair point. What is not fair is not being allowed to exchange the rack and being stuck dealing with the manufacturer directly. If I could leave zero stars I would because that's how bad they are. read more

I went to CycleFast during quarantine hoping that they would be open, and they were! No one was allowed in the store, they had you call customer service which was fine by me. I called hoping they would sell me a new tire for my bike, and they did, I got the parts I needed. But the man I spoke with was so rude and condescending! When he came out to hand me the tire I asked if he has any advice on how to install the bike tire, and he goes "google it" and shuts the door! I was just disappointed in how rude that man was! Visited here twice this week... great service and selection. We're fortunate to have a lot of great bike shops in Long Island, and it's worth noting that after visiting a half dozen or more in recent weeks... the selection of gear/accessories at CycleFast is great and they make it a lot easier to buy local. As great as the selection appears when you enter the store, there's even more... a sales rep quickly assisted and brought a selection of items from the back to suit my needs. My wife went last week to have her spin shoes changed from the SPD cleat to the compatible cleat needed for her new Peloton bike. Although the younger man who helped us came across as having a bit of an attitude, we chalked it up to getting to the store with 10 minutes before they closed. He changed her cleats and we left. During the course of the last week she noticed that a rattling sound was coming from the bottom of her shoes. We use went back to the store and there was an older man who "helped" us. To say that he had an attitude from the get go is an understatement. All we wanted to know was what the sound was and if something could be done about it. He was rude and not once did he offer to try and help us. He told us what was causing the sound, period. Didn't try to say, "let me take off the new cleats and show you what's going on". All we got was horrible customer service. With what's going on today, with businesses closing all over, I told him customer service comes first and he should be thankful he's still in business. He said my wife yelled at him, which she didn't, but even if she did, all he had to do was be kind, instead of arrogant and hostile. My suggestion, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.
