I was really looking forward to a good bagel so I stopped in here. Unfortunately the bagel lacked flavor and taste no different than the bagels you would get at a Dunkin' Donuts. Also I informed them that I have an allergy, and although a small oversight she cross contaminated. Thankfully I purchased a dozen so I grabbed from the bottom of the bag and didn't make an issue out of it. Very little wait time. Whenever I'm in Lynbrook, this is my go-to bagel spot, especially in the mornings. The staff is upbeat, warm, and welcoming. There's plenty of seating in the from and well lit. It can get very busy here, but the staff is plentiful and quick to help everyone out. I always go with a simple and classic sesame bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. The bagels are freshly made and usually very soft and warm. Unfortunately, they're very reserved when it comes to the spread. I, often, have to ask for additional cream cheese. As for coffee, I'm a huge fan of their banana cream pie ice coffee. I remembered that I was skeptical the first time I heard of it but tried it anyway. I absolutely love it. Aesthetically, this is the most unique bagel shop I have ever been too. They really advertise their name...especially their iced coffee. They have a ton of flavors. I opted for plain ol' iced coffee but I would definitely come back in the winter to try their unique flavors. A+ for coffee selection and flavor. Their bagels, on the other hand, need work. My whole wheat everything bagel was small and didn't taste quite right. I would hardly call it "everything". I want my bagels doused in seeds and spices, there was barely anything on it. Going through a lot of review confusion, I'm finding out I have to review a couple of places I swore I thought I reviewed...it's what happens halfway to middle age :( Anyway I love this bagel place. If you're lacking for bagels in the five towns area (surprisingly I have yet to find an extraordinary bagel place there) Lynbrook is just a couple of towns away and this store is almost a straight drive down Broadway. I used to come here more often when I lived with my parents and took two buses to work. If I treated my mom to breakfast and she was driving me I would always suggest to come here. This morning I had eggs & cheese on a whole wheat bagel with sesame seeds. The eggs were fluffy, the cheese yummy, slightly gooey and warm. The whole wheat bagel was fresh, soft and semi fluffy. This morning I chose to drink the leprechaun's gold coffee, what a unique flavor this is. It's advertised as being a nutty raisinish flavor, to me it's sweet and zesty. I would recommend it while they serve it, this store always has unique and different coffee flavors on hand to sample. I actually ended up missing two buses because I chose to stop in and treat myself to this place I missed so much this morning, it was worth missing the two buses and to my astonishment one of my co-workers who lives here saw me waiting for the bus in Lynbrook and drove me into Hewlett anyway. Great bagel place, they have the best bagels I've ever eaten in Nassau County. Other reviewers mentioned this but the place is cash only, they get a five star review despite the fact that they are cash only. Great bagel spot for Long Island. The bagels and croissants are freshly made. There's a lot of staff behind the main counter so you will not need to wait much to order and get your order filled. There is seating in the front of the store in case you want to sit and enjoy our bagel. I recommend the everything bagel with bacon and eggs. I do wish I tried the coffee while I was there as I've read other reviews and heard it was pretty tasty. When I return I'll be sure to grab a cup. Another thing I'd to mention for dog owners is this shop sells dog bagels. Yes I said dog bagels. My pup Benji goes crazy for these things. I've noticed they are pretty hard but my pup LOVES the crunchiness of it. I'll definitely will be back for a cup of Joe and some doggie bagels. read more

LB Bagels is one of those quintessential hometowny bagel shops that you'd expect to see in upstate NY. Their walls are adored with photos of the past, charity events, community events and big blue giant's bagels. Yeah, it's pretty unique. Based on their creativity and community roots alone, they blow all the other spots out of the water. Everything is made in house with the exception of the muffins. Coffee selection changes daily to include funky things like coconut and red velvet. Mmmmm. Plenty of healthy options to include their soups and sandwiches. They also spice it up with funky colored bagels, pumpkin spice bagels, mini bagels, awesome flagels (Yeah, I'm THAT kinda person) etc. Their lox is fresh and paired with some low fat cream cheese on a everything flagel is heaven in the morning. The workers were joking about having the corona. The service was incredibly unprofessional. Our server forgot to put a bagel in our bag. When we told her she grabbed the bagel barehanded and handed it to us without any wrapping or bag. She seemed more concerned with cracking jokes about the corona than actually helping customers. There was no system, as the servers were on top of each other trying to put spread on patron's bagels. On top of all of that, the bagels were terrible. We actually had to go to another bagel place to make up for this failed attempt. Incredibly poor experience and we will not be coming here again. Lynbrook Bagels has a great selection of coffee (oatmeal cookie, Snickers, and so many more). Their bagels are very good too (although slightly smaller than the typical Long Island bagel). My only criticism is that they don't have scallion cream cheese (just chive) and that the everything bagels only have toppings on one side. Generally like the location but was disappointed when I ordered a sandwich off the menu that advertises avocado. What I got instead was a thin layer of guacamole spread instead. Lame bait and switch. Otherwise happy with this place though. Be aware they don't take debit or credit; you have to have cash. Ordered a regular coffee. I got just that and wanted an unsweetened iced tea. It was so over priced for a simple bagel and iced tea...($8) ridiculous actually. I guess I am overpaying for these ladies late nights out. I took one sip from the unsweetened iced tea and it tasted of rotten eggs. I was like, OK, its me, then another sip same thing. I opened the lid and it REEKED of rotten eggs. Not sure what everyone is raving about but I bought a half dozen bagels and they tasted like they were boiled in dirty mildewed water. (If anyone has had a dirty water bagel they know what I'm talking about) I checked a few thinking I just got one bad one and nope, they all had an off taste. I also got a bacon, egg and cheese for my daughter. She said it was good. But if they're not changing the water they boil the bagels with I have to wonder about other policies. Found this place while getting my car serviced at Sunrise Volkswagen and was looking for a bagel. Amazing fresh selection, very friendly staff. Even though it was busy inside line moved very quickly. I absolutely love this place. During this scary time, where health has been a big concern, all of the employees have been extra cautious while preparing food. They even added a curbside pickup option, in case customers choose not to order their takeout inside. They are excellent at getting people in and out in a timely manner. Also, during a time when many are taking advantage and raising prices, they are not. Everything is fairly priced, and they do not overcharge for any goods. So, together with certain members of my family, I have become absolutely obsessed with soup. Good soup is practically a lost art, but it still lives at Lynbrook Bagels. They even have a special category for vegetarian, low fat, no lactose soups. I don't have a problem with meat, fat or milk but it's nice to know and their choices always sound like food instead of a consolation prize. They have a good mix of thick and hearty soups but they do have a couple of lighter options for when you're not crazy hungry. And they don't do that thing where they have three weird soups to choose from with nothing else. I hate that. While you're waiting to order, you can see all their fresh baked desserts and breads and they all look freaking amazing. And they smell good. This is evil. Also, I haven't met a better bagel in Lynbrook. They have cute little mini bagels, too. read more

This past weekend, my parents tossed me in the back of their car and dragged me around shopping with them. It was hell. I almost died. BUT during my screams and cries for release, we stopped for lunch and I experienced Lynbrook Bagels. I have a bit of an unhealthy attachment to pumpkin-flavored baked goods, and as Jew, of course, love the almighty bagel. So, when the sign greeting me at front said "Flavor of the day: Pumpkin Spice bagel" - I was enthralled. Hot and fresh, firm on the outside, chewy on the inside, the pumpkin taste was subtle and inviting. The coffee was surprisingly good as well. I took home the 7-grain and rye-pumpernickel to try as well, as am thus far equally impressed. Honorary mention: They sell bags of especially baked DOGGIE BAGELS at front. As a mommy to two dogs and 4 new-born puppies, this is extra exciting! read more

Stopped by around noon on a Sunday to try their bagels and muffins, first time visit. Ordered "The Roast" sandwich for my husband and a lox with cream cheese bagel for myself. That's all I was planning to get, but then I saw some beautiful muffins displayed in muffin tins! I immediately added a cranberry orange muffin and chocolate muffin to my order. The sandwiches were made quickly and my order was promptly rung up. There were two people working on my order, so there was some confusion. I had already paid, but was asked again if I had paid by the second person before I could take my order and go. The sandwiches tasted fine, no complaints but also nothing to write home about either. The muffins are a little on the dry side, so I won't be ordering those again. The muffins are also not made in-house, a bit disappointing because I had hoped for homemade ones from my local bagel shop. One thing I made note of, was that about half of the workers had band-aids on one of their fingers (a turnoff). They did not always keep a glove on the injured hand. At one point I saw the worker consolidating the muffins by moving them from tray to tray, with bare hands and no glove. The workers were nice though. An elderly woman was ahead of me, who ordered a coffee but spilled all of it on her way to the table. The workers quickly cleaned up the floor and gave refilled her coffee cup free of charge. Overall, this bagel shop serves average food and provides average service. I will likely return because I live close by. read more

Today was our first time at Lynbrook Bagels and most definitely not our last! The place is super cute inside and everyone was very friendly. I wasn't sure what to order at first and the girl working there was very patient. My 2 yr old is a tough critic-after every bite she kept saying "so good so good" and I totally agree! A better place to eat lunch, than to actually order bagels... (especially if you're still in HS) Of the usual places I grab bagels, this is one of my least favorite on Long Island. The bagels just aren't as good as some other places. I've had many a friend work here though, and that always forced me to come back. They make pretty decent sandwiches on bagels though, including the oh-so-disgusting but good, melted cheese on bagel... Plenty of parking in the back, plus the added benefit of being on the "lively" strip that is Lynbrook downtown. read more
