Let me start out by saying I used to come to this salon a lot prior to covid. I was a returning customer. I just got my lashes done for the first time since 2019 and it is the worst I've ever seen. I got the 90 lashes per eye and I paid $10 extra for the thicker lashes... and I tipped for bad services. It looks like I have 20 lashes on on each eyelid. I had discrepancies once the lady was done, but they tried to tell me my lashes are very fine and that I barely had lashes, which is a blatant lie. I got my lashes done on a Friday, I woke up with lashes on my chest and on my pillow. Because they're closed on the weekends I couldn't even let them know of the poor job that was done. I didn't even want to bother with going back and they feed me more BS so I'm just waiting for them to fall off naturally because I refuse to pay them to remove them. read more

My newest discovery in life was eyelash extensions. They make you look so much more awake, and you don't even need to use eyeliner if you're having a lazy day. Because of my new obsession, I decided to buy a Groupon for Luxury Lash since one of my friends had recommended the place. It was pretty easy to make an appointment. I called the week prior to when I wanted to come in, and they had availability for after work hours. The person helping me pick out my lashes was very helpful. I had only gotten them done once before (at a different place), and those people were not very descriptive in describing the look of the lashes. So I told Luxury Lash that I wanted something that was in between natural/sexy. Natural was too unnoticeable, but I also didn't want something too va va voom that would weigh down my eyelids. I was happy with the end results and the way the lashes looked. Fast forward a couple of days, and my lashes were already falling out. I had gotten them done on a Wednesday and by Sunday/Monday, I felt like 40% of the extensions were gone, even though they were supposed to last two weeks. I was shedding eyelashes all over the apartment. I could not look down anywhere without finding a lash somewhere. Judging by these other reviews, it looks like a lot of other people had the same problem. I just feel sorry for the people who actually paid full price for this service. I wanted to like this place, I really did. If I could give 5 stars to the woman who helped me set up my appointment, I would. She also helped me pick my lashes and redeem my Groupon for my first visit. One thing I really did not like is that they have you sign a waiver - basically saying if you get an infection or irritation, it's not their fault. Um, how would it not be their fault? Didn't quite understand that but I went along for the ride anyway since the place looked clean and the technician was wearing gloves. I have naturally long lashes but wanted to give extensions a try for a more dramatic look. I will say that they are pretty, but they are definitely not lasting 2-3 weeks like I was told. I would have been really annoyed if I had paid the full price for the service without a Groupon deal. I got my lashes done on Thursday evening and by Friday, I was finding lashes everywhere. I'm sure by Monday I'll just have a few of these left and I'll be back to using mascara. After they do your lashes, they give you a complimentary lash brush and instruction card with details on how to care for your lashes. Was very excited to get my lashes done before vacation so I purchased a Groupon for this location near my job. I was immediately not pleased with the outcome upon finishing before and explained the lashes on my eyes were not symmetrical. The worker tried to add more lashes after she repeatedly complained she spent more than 1 hour on my lashes already. The few lashes she added did not help. Some lashes were bunched on top of each other, there were multiple gaps with no lashes and looked like a needed a fill despite just getting them done. This is not my first time doin individual lashes and did not put any water near my eyes or rub my eyes. It is less than 24 hours later and the individual lashes continue to fall off one by one. I'm giving this place two stars because depending on which technician you get, the lashes are good for only about two weeks and you'll basically need to pay for a whole new set. I patronized this place for months because I had a mostly okay experience. But for last full set I got from them, lashes on one eye completely fell out within a week and when I told them about it, they basically told me that's why I need to come in for two week fill-in (which is basically paying more to fix their error.) They also blamed it on my eye makeup, which they should have removed before the full set, and also, if they install lashes better, I wouldn't have to wear a strip lash to balance out my eyes. I do not recommend this place. They prioritize making money over client satisfaction. Never a good business model! read more

Honestly tried to like this place, came here about 4-5 times because it's very close to my school. However, I have been wearing eyelash extensions for 6 years, and I've tried many places, so I know how things should be. Also, the price doesn't suit the quality or duration of the lashes. Customer service is 5 stars. They are always very polite and welcoming. The eyelashes don't last long. I've had some fall off the same day! On top of that, the extensions seemed to weigh down my lashes (I only did the 90 eyelash option so it's not the amount that weighs it down.) Because of this, the lashes didn't seemed curled up or perky at all, just low and kind of straight (I did C curl.) This defies the point of getting lashes! Needless to say, I went back to my old eyelash tech for better results and a way cheaper price! read more

It's the morning after I got my eyelashes done here and they are already falling out in clumps. I had high hopes for this place because of previous reviews but it's all a bit sketchy. Before your appointment they text you to remind you of it (which is fine) but they also remind you to tip...I haven't even received the service yet, why are you forcing me to Tip? Upon entering the woman at the front desk didn't even greet me as she was too busy on the phone. I waited at least 5 to 6 minutes before she said anything to me. When she finally got off the phone and said something too me she rushed me to sign a release that pretty much says if your eyes become infected or red, they are not responsible. WHAT?! You are working on my lashes but if something happens to my eyes you guys are not responsible? Sketchy! I then asked to see their licenses because I felt like this was weird as I've gotten my lashes done so many times at other places and never had to sign anything like this. They went on to grab the manager and he said their licenses are at "another location." WHAT AGAIN?! If you are working at one location, your license should be there. Against my better judgement I went forward with the process because I was already there and have an event today. The place is fairly new so it was clean and well lit. The woman who did my lashes was pretty quick as it took maybe 45 minutes. Yes I did tip her even though her work wasn't that great. My lashes looked ok, I've had way better. Today, not even a full day yet and the lashes are falling out. I had my lashes done twice here - full set with groupon and then a full price 3-week refill. The first time, the technician clearly rushed application. Not only did my eyes burn after, she spent half as long on my right eye than she did on my left - as a result, the lashes on my right eye fell out twice as fast. Despite this, the lashes held up well enough overall that I decided to go again for a refill. My second technician was very gentle and thorough and the refill came out beautifully - or so it seemed. On the 5th day over 10 lashes fell out at once. When I called the studio, they told me that this happens because the remover they use on the old lashes can affect the glue bonding the new lashes. So basically, they admitted that their careless removal techniques was to blame. Very disappointing after spending close to $100 for a refill. read more

I had a good experience the first time I came here , they did a great job and the lashes lasted a long a time. At the first visit the FALSELY ADVERTISED this voucher for 50 dollars that I would be able to get two sets, without expiration. I gladly bought it and asked several times about the expiration and I was reassured that there wasn't one . I go in for my first set with the voucher , great no problem though the second time the lashes lasted less time and kept falling . The most absurd and unprofessional thing happened three weeks later I get a text to come and get another filling , not only was I not in town but I was told that my second visit had expired even if I was told when buying the voucher that the two visits would have no expiration. I've been getting my lashes done here since November. I let them choose the length on what would be best. I wanted to get them done for Thanksgiving and now I can't live without my lashes. They look so natural. Very professional clean and quiet. I get my lashes done during the day and have never had too wait more then 5 min. All the girls are great. You'll always get a text message the day before your appt. They provide comfy blankets and super soft music. It's a very spa like experience I always look forward to getting my lashes done and it's great down time. I've never had a bad experience here. I highly recommend. Amazing place! They do a great job with eye lashes and eyebrows. The staff is very clean, talented, patient . The location is easy and next to the J train. They are very flexible with appointments which makes my life so much easier. I am coming in today for a eyelash touch-up and I cant wait! I have gone to many lash businesses and this was the worst. Lashes fell out after 2 days, one eye has no lashes and other eye has, I sent a picture all within a 2 week period. After being told my lashes are very thin and fine after the fact, I was offered to come in and get a fix and be charged an additional 60 dollars. I am furious that they did not do the right thing. However, the owner is sneaky when it comes to prices. I was charged $25 extra for the same work that I've been doing for the past 2 months now. Apparently, today she figured it was ok to take it up on herself to decide that I NEEDED 120 lashes rather than what I always get. She told me AFTER the work was done that I was being charged extra for something I never asked for which i found to be very unprofessional. Please run as fast as you can from this establishment! This place deserves zero stars!!! I visited for the first time with a Groupon because my regular lash place was busy and I had to travel the same day. The coupon was for 90 lashes. The front desk lady who I believe is the owner repeatedly and aggressively urged me to upgrade to 120 lashes for an additional $20. I declined as it was my first time and I didn't know if they were good or not. She continued to urge me to upgrade and even went as far as telling me that 90 lashes won't look good. How does a service provider tell you that one of their services is not good???? Anyways, I went ahead and did my lashes. I requested the cat eye style (longer at the eye corners). After the tech had installed some lashes on right eye, the owner/front desk lady came and suggested I look at the eye in the mirror; I looked, and pointed out that I did not have the cat eye effect (they were all the same length), then she urged me to pay the additional $20 for longer lashes to be added at the corners.. lol. Again, I declined for the 100th time.. cos I don't know how good they are and her persistence had began to irritate me!! How does a "shape gone wrong"equate to paying more for more lashes???? Anyways, she instructed the tech to move over to the other eye. Upon completion, I did not get the cat eye effect, she never apologized for the wrong shape either!! I paid, tipped and left. By night time, approximately 9 lashes had fallen off from each eye. I got my lashes done on 02/21, today is 02/27 and I have lost 90% -95% of the lashes that were installed. I wake up to multiple lashes all over my pillows, and find multiple lashes on my clothings through out the day, so embarrassing! (I followed aftercare instructions!!). I have been getting individual lashes since 2013 and have never had this experience or loss of eye lashes till this time. This lash bar's set up looks fancy, but their technique and service is horrible!!!! Pls do not be fooled!!!! Check out other reviews here and on Groupon as well, a lot of people complain about the lashes falling off same day or shortly after as well!!! I wish I checked their reviews prior, I was in such a hurry and was only glad to find a place that had last min availability. Lashes were pretty but don't last it hasn't been a full 7 days and they are shedding like crazy. They are only skilled in basic classic sets so if your looking for dramatic Set or a hybrid style this isn't the lash place for you . Nice salon and nice staff but ultimately wouldn't return . Sad to say, my experience was only great in terms of timing. They were fast in taking me in when I was there 30minutes early, and took less than an hour for the service.. BUT, after the service, the right eye's lashes, started falling off as soon as I walked out through those doors. Do not go here! They are too fast and are doing a half donkeys work! I really tried to like this place. 5 stars on customer service. The girls were really nice and sat me down to really discuss what I wanted. I have been getting eyelash extensions for a long time, almost 5 years now, so I've been just about everywhere. First, they charged me $10 more dollars for a thicker lash.. which was kind of ridiculous. And my lashes came out alright. They started falling out in the next 3 days like crazy. My left eye was almost completely bare and naked. And I still had a decent amount of my right eye, although kind of sparse also. By the time a week passed, all my lashes completely fell out. I was surprised how quickly they all fell out. This is the first time actually, that I had this happen to me. Anyways, the lashes looked nice when applied. But save your money and time, if you dont want them to all be fallen off within a week. I really tried to like the place, but was utterly disappointed. read more

The lashes came out looking nice immediately after but began to fall out just a week after! I've been going here since December and I absolutely love the way my lashes look and the customer service. Maya is always so helpful and it's so easy to schedule an appointment or reschedule via text or by phone. She sends reminders via text as well. The ladies who work here are really accommodating and learn your preferences. If you have any concerns just speak up and they're willing to help. I read some of the reviews and I have to agree your lashes will fall out but you HAVE to follow the after care instructions. Even how you sleep will effect how often your lashes fall out. They do have you sign a waiver but I have done my lashes in the city before and they made me sign the same thing so Luxury Lash is not trying to be sketchy. Also the text you receive does remind you to please pay tip in cash which is understandable you'd want the lash techs to get their tips sooner rather than later. Just a tip in general when doing your lashes take care of them and ask questions let them know if you're satisfied or not before leaving. read more

I bumped into a girl in the elevator as I was leaving, she asked me if I had done my lashes here before and I said no. She shared her experience, and they didn't even last her 24 hrs. Went here for a year and my lashes looked great. All of a sudden, the last time I went and got lashes applied - I woke up the next day and my eyelids were completely swollen and now part of my face is swollen. The girl who did my lashes did a great job asthetically but I think she applied them too close to my eyelid (which is why they looked so good for like 8 hours I guess). The pictures of my eyes would horrify you. Beware bc even though I was a loyal customer for a year, they refused to issue a refund for the service. At this point I've been spending a lot of money on medication to bring down the redness and swelling - then eventually had to consult with a doctor. This is has been a terrible experience. read more

I was recommended by their other location, by the name of Mink Lash Bar. I bought a groupon for a new set of lashes. I usually get the longest/sexiest combination. In recent months I've found it to be too much so I asked to go down by one or two. I wanted something more natural and I walked out of there with full glam lashes. And when they grow out it's going to be even worse. They're already sparse and when they're that long, it's very problematic. I feel like I have to fix it soon but it is not in my budget.
