The day before thanksgiving I went to lux lash to get my eyelashes done for the FIRST time ever at lux. I was so happy that they were able to squeeze me in. My lash tech they paired me with is new to the salon. She was very nice may I add. She stated she's been doing lashes for 7 years but was stating she never did lashes as curly as mine, so from there I knew she wasn't confident doing them. It took 1.5 hours on the left lashes and like 30 to 40 minutes on the right one. At this point I asked her did it take so long on the left eye because you're having a hard time? she stated yes. As I'm laying there wondering how is she going so fast with the right eye. It's because they were ready to lock up so she started rushing. When she was done with my lashes the right eye had so many less lashes than the left eye. I told her she need to add more. So I laid back down and she added around 6 lol at that point I was like whatever it's not terrible but it's not good. I waited 24 hours to shower as you know you can't shower due to the lashes curing process and plus I wasn't confident in her skills. My lashes were not directly on the root of my lash but it was laying on top of it where you can still see the faux follicle smh. I reached out to the salon, they told me to send pictures which I did, and they ask for me to come in to fix them but the time I agreed to come in on a Wednesday 11/4 I had mandatory overtime at work. I called to let them know to see if we can change the day but they said I absolutely couldn't and if I do they will have to charge me for a refill. That's is so absurd. You are suppose to be accommodating to your clients no matter what especially if it's your employee F*** up. I work 9-5:30 M-F In the medical field. HOW just how am I supposed to just say forget what my director said about MANDATORY OT let me just go get my lashes fix. As an EMPLOYER you are suppose ACCOMMODATE NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES WHEN YOUR EMPLOYEE MESS UP! I have a large following and a lot of industry friends. I will be doing a review on this place. This place is great! The space is really lovely. I've gone twice now and asked for a very natural set but that still fits my face and in all my lash experiences theirs is the first time I feel like I got exactly what I wanted. Excellent retention, no irritation. Love it here! read more

For my first experience I love the results. I now understand why so many get this service. This is nothing like the thread place. I got a partial set and it took a little over 2 hours. Is it worth it? Yes. I feel nothing. No extra weight, no irritation and it looks natural. It's week 2 and it still looks good. My only annoyance would be the length of time it takes but the results . This is my second time here and Yuliya did my lashes. I have super blond hard to see lashes and I always want mega volume lol Yuliya was amazing!!!! She's such a sweetheart and a perfectionist she wants you to love your lashes and won't let you leave unsatisfied. The first time she did them they were gorgeous and today I went in for my refill after two weeks with barely any lashes missing because they held up so well even after cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner and somehow this time she managed to make them even more beautiful than the first time! I moved to Brooklyn worried I wouldn't find a good lash tech as most of them are super far or downtown but I stumbled across their IG page which is included in the picture and I booked an appointment not knowing who would do my lashes. The place was super pretty and feminine with a hair salon in the back as well. The receptionists are all so sweet and professional. Highly recommended!! First and foremost, the lash lounge is super clean. Everyone was welcoming and respectful. The young lady at the front desk is really nice as well. My lash tech (can't remember her name, but it started with an S *maybe Sabina* and she's fairly new to that shop) was really nice. She met and greeted me in the waiting area. She helped me decide the kind of lashes I wanted because I've never done them before. She also made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The only reason for not giving five stars was that it was hard to keep my mask up because there's a specific tape used to protect your bottom lid/lashes so I couldn't keep my mask up all the way, but the tech did not keep her mask above her nose( for the process your eyes are closed, but I felt her breathing close to my face, and after my first eye finished I was able to open up and take a look) so yes...respiration was exchanged lol. I got my first set of extensions here over Thanksgiving break. This was not my first time getting extensions so naturally I was very pleased with the results. The last time I have received extensions I experienced no type of irritation the following day. However the next morning I woke up and the entire lower half of my right eye was red. I figured it was due to an irritation from the gel pad and it would subside quickly. It took a good 4 days for the reaction to go away. I had to miss class because of the pain I was in. I was hopeful going into my fill in appointment that this wouldn't occur again. But it did-and it's much worse. My entire eye is red and the reaction is spreading to my cheek. I contacted the store about it and they did not seem to have any sense of urgency to fix this issue. I said I would come in so they could see my eye in person and assess whether or not I needed to have the extensions removed. But they assured me that I was fine even though they acknowledged it was an allergic reaction. The only way for the reaction to stop is to remove what is irritating it. They also said they were adding to my chart for next time that a glue for more sensitive eyes needs to be used on me. I'm confused as to why this wasn't done the first time it happened. No initiative was taken to make sure this was not going to happen again. Do not get me wrong-everyone in the lounge is extremely nice and friendly but I wish there was more of a sense of urgency. I had to go out in public looking like this. Now I have to go to another salon to have my lashes removed, even though so many of them came out already. read more
