My son accidentally spilled a bucket of water onto a laptop and the laptop immediately shut off. We tried flipping it upside down, unplugging the laptop (couldn't remove the battery), and letting it dry by the window and fan. After 2.5 wks, it turned on but something burned out because the screen was very dark and writing indiscernible. We brought it to Mike and he ran a full assessment, quoted a very reasonable price for the repair of motherboard and screen replacement. He did an excellent job and only took less than a week which included the ordering of parts and labor. I am so impressed! Repairs are also guaranteed for 30 days. My Nintendo Switch wasn't displaying on the screen when it was docked, so I brought it in with Michael, and he was very thorough in explaining what the issue could be. He tested the charging port and found that there were bad connections, so he replaced the port. It still didn't display, he immediately knew what was wrong and stated that it was a chip that needed to be replaced. My switch now displays on the dock and runs perfectly fine. This was all done the same day and for a great price. It was incredibly difficult to find a shop that would repair a modded switch, but Michael got it done with no problem. The owner of the shop basically had to rebuild the power supply with sourced parts since finding a replacement power supply didn't exist anymore. I cannot recommend this place enough for fast, professional, affordable service!! Michael is the absolute best! My MacBook Air wouldn't power on and a trip to the Apple Store proved useless. They referred me to a mail in service that could recover my data but it was going to cost a fortune. I took it to a shop in Costa Mesa and they quoted an $85 assessment fee and then $500+ for repair. I called a few other repair shops around OC and got quotes for $500, $800, even $1,200 (all of which was not worth it for an older laptop valued at less than that). I eventually stumbled upon Luxe Tech Repairs on Yelp and Michael was very friendly on the phone. He offered a free assessment and I took it in immediately. Within about 2 hours he called to tell me it was fixable and had it fixed by the next day (less than 24 hours after I had dropped it off). I was just looking to recover my data and recycle the laptop, as that was what the Apple Store and other shops made it seem like was my best outcome. Luckily Michael got it fully working again and no data was lost! And it cost less than half of what the other places had quoted me! Michael was very nice and professional and explained what he had fixed. He even showed me some of the internal components for a nice visual. They fix iPhones, tablets and gaming consoles too. I hardly ever leave Yelp reviews and I'm always weary of these type of places because I never know if I'm going to get ripped off. My PS5 was shutting off after a couple hours of use. Well, let me reassure you, Michael is a professional and more importantly a good guy. He explained what was going on with the PS5, why it was shutting off, and showed me some pictures of the inside of other PS5s that had the same problem. It's appointment only, but I didn't know that and walked in and he was super cool and nice enough to work on it and have it fixed iall in the same day. And the price reasonable. Simply amazing! Got an old 1st generation 12.9 iPad, and the charging port was broken. I took the Ipad to numerous places in the area, and they all can't repair it. Too old, get a new one or they don't do micro soldering was a usual reason why they can't service the iPad.
