Very disappointed in this place. I gave them 2 vs 1 stars because the nail technician was very pleasant. I did not make an appointment and when I came in there were only two people getting services but also only three technicians. Another tech told my tech that I could only get the basic pedicure. I was ok with that but I found it odd. The spa pedicure water was cold, and before we got started the nail tech said that the polish I chose would be an additional $3 because it does not require a base and top coat. I found that very strange but accepted because I liked the color. However, to my surprise, she still used a clear base and a top coat. While I was getting the pedicure two other clients came in that had appointments. I assume I was interfering with their appointment time because the nail tech started to rush. And I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that that is why she did such an awful job. I had to tell her to fix three toes (one had a hair in it, one she smudged when putting on my flip-flop and the third she only painted half of the nail). My toes look like an uneven globby mess, and I had polish still on my skin. I will definitely not go back here. I would have rather they told me that I needed to make an appointment or come back at a later time because they won't have time to service me before their next scheduled appointment than to rush and give me such shoddy service. I initially was going to walk straight out because the person who greeted me at the door was VERY rude simply because I did not have an appointment. While I understand NOW the benefit of making an appointment she should try to be more gracious with people who are unfamiliar with the process, especially first-timers. However, something in my spirit told me to give them a chance and I'm glad I did. April and Lita did an excellent job on my nails. Lita gave me an exceptional mini-luxe pedicure and April did a great job on nails. They both convinced me to come back again. If not for them, I would be quickly moving on. Thanks ladies! read more

I've been a regular customer of Luxe Nail Bar Salon for about 2.5 years. From regular mani/pedis, to gel manicures, acrylics, and now my new thing of SNS, I have tried to all here. All the ladies are very talented and you won't go wrong coming here. I'm usually pretty basic when it comes to my nails, but every now and then I "spice it up." The salon has an upscale look and feel but the prices are very reasonable. Good entertainment(they alternate between playing music and movies), great conversation (you can always count on chats with the owners, workers, or other clients), and sometimes if your lucky you might even come on a day when their giving free treats--- I have found my nail salon, and the best part is it's minute from my house. I just love this salon! I do feel the previous location on Main Street was more aesthetically appealing but in all honesty with events always occurring in the area the move around the corner makes sense but I do miss the ambience. Now to the good stuff:-) Angie is the BEST nail technician/artist I have ever had. Her spirit is so sweet and she does a wonderful job picking colors and accents when I'm undecided. Lida gives the best pedicures and polished my toes to perfection. Bianca is amazing too and did an amazing job on my daughter's pedicure and gel nails. When I started coming here over a year ago not every tech did SNS but Angie and Bianca do and they are truly talented. I am very particular about technique and the hearts/spirits of providers of any type of service I receive and I am so pleased with these three ladies. Professional obligations impacted my schedule and I was left to try another salon for convenience...awful! If you live in the Brookhaven/Vista Grove area this is your best bet! Just an average nail place. I liked my pedicure results and the lady who did my toes was fine but nothing amazing. Reasonable prices which I appreciated! The downsides to this place were the SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE seats. After you get a pedicure, you should be relaxed and comfy, not complaining that your a** hurts. When reading the reviews before we went, we saw you should call ahead for an appointment. I did just that and when I arrived they signed up in on time but then asked us to sit and wait for 18 minutes after our appointment time? Once we finally moved to the painful chairs, we sat with our feet in the water until it was cool. All of the surfaces seemed slightly dirty, I was definitely concerned with the cleanliness level of the whole establishment. Things just seemed covered in a slight grime... It seems like a shame that they went to so much effort to decorate the place to not consider comfortable seating and general cleanliness. A weird thing is they have a whole rack of normal looking nail polish that is apparently SUPER fancy because you have to pay $3 more to use it??? Pass on that. It's not even gel! I've been on the hunt for a nail salon closer to home. I'm very loyal but my current schedule and their location make it extremely difficult. So after reading the reviews, I decided to give Luxe a try. I came as a walk-in on Saturday afternoon. I called ahead to see if I could be squeezed in and the receptionist said for me to come in about 15 minutes. I let her know that I was in a rush because I had a wedding to attend in a couple of hours. I arrived and saw a beautiful building exterior and when I entered the decor was just as nice. The purple makes it feel regal especially since the manicure chairs looks like thrones. I was greeted immediately and directed to choose my polish color. I'm used to a larger selection of colors, however, the color I wanted was there as well as an accompanying glitter color for one nail on each hand. My manicurist was sweet. I explained that I was in a rush and that I just wanted a quick, basic manicure. I only have two complaints: 1) she was too slow. My 20-30 minute manicure ended up taking 45-50 minutes. (I was late & I messed up several of my nails because I was rushing). 2) she didn't know how to file my nails! That's Manicuring 101! I asked for oval and she filed them squarish round. I had to ask her 2-3 more times to fix the shape. One of my nails had some decent length and by the time she was finished filing and re-filing, it was down to a nub. Other than that, she did an overall good job. Nice massage. And a good polish job. She even used several quick drying mechanisms to help me out. I'm back 3 days later to try a basic pedicure. I rarely get those but wanted to kind of get a feel for their quality. I had the same nail technician and was a bit skeptical. She did a great job! Perfectly filed. And good polish job. I also had her do a polish change for my manicure. I had to have her make a few corrections to my liking. But she listened and I appreciate that. I will definitely come back and try another nail technician. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. read more

Let me start by saying I've given this salon two chances and this review has nothing to do with their work as both times I never made it that far. Both times I came in as soon as they open they apparently they couldn't take me or fit me in. I came in for a gel pedicure. Within a few days three of my nails just peeled straight off. I've never experienced this with a gel pedicure and it was difficult to schedule someone to fix it. I also received sns that wasn't up to par with the quality I'm used to. It began chipping extremely early and the work was patchy. I really wanted to support this business, but having to schedule an appointment for a quick fix (when they are responsible for the poor quality) just doesn't sit well with me. I was pleasantly surprised to find this cute little spot in the middle of Norcross. It was clean, quiet, and the nail bar itself was so adorable. China did my full set and she did an amazing job with application & shape. She was very honest about what she felt confidant doing. The selection of colors, brands and options here is the best I've ever seen. Hands down. I was blown away by the amount to choose from when I first started coming here, and still am. I've been coming to this salon since September or maybe earlier. I've seen three of the nail techs and liked all of them. I have worn acrylics, pretty much continually since college to help mitigate my dermatillomania(anxious scratching). Everyone I've seen has done a great job. The ambiance is fun and friendly, although if you don't like purple... you are out of luck, because it's the main color for the salon. It's a nail bar because you belly up to the bar to get your nails done, which is fun. Most of the folks here are clearly regulars and you'll realize very quickly the estheticians are very friendly with each other and with all the clients, which is a nice change from many of the salons I've been to. They might not get to you immediately, but that's usually because they are focused on the job they're doing. I like that they take the time to get things right, I've watched the salon owner fix a client's nails more than once in the same visit, because the client had bumped her drying nails. No complaints or huffing, she just got it done and smiled about it. I've realized I'm going to have to start making appointments as it can be a long wait for a walk-in sometimes. I really wanted to like this place because the girls were friendly buuuut there were a few, well a lot of things I didn't like. The setting is nice, they have an actual "brow/nail bar". We're ur sitting on bar stools which I thought was really cute and clever. They also have the option of sitting on a long high back bench like seating which was very comfortable for the spa pedicure. They have the option of different mani/pedis from basic to lux to royal... etc. I decided on a basic SnS manicure and a regular polish pedicure. The ambience I would give 5 stars, they had a movie going on some big screen TVs posted around the salon, I think we were watching "The girl on the train". The nail techs were friendly and I could tell they have regulars as they were asking about vacations, jobs, day to day events. Now for the mani/pedi. First she picked the wrong color, I asked for blue and she gave me pink . She had done 3 nails (I was really into the movie) before I noticed. She was very apologetic which I appreciate but she didn't stop she proceeded to do the rest of the nails pink and said she would just go over them with blue. I'm not a nail tech so I allowed her to do her job. Bad idea...The nails came out super bulky and lumpy. The corners as well as the nail bed you can see the pink peeking through. The nails are unevenly filed. And they almost forgot to do my hand massage . The pedicure was GREAT, I love my yellow toes. I'm just not happy with the sloppiness of the manicure. The setting, cleanliness and friendliness?? (idk if that's a word but we will use it anyways) 5/5. The actual service 1.5/5. That's bc the pedicure gets a 4/5 and the manicure is -2/5... ‍. Love this place! I've had regular manicure/pedicure, gel, acrylic, and SNS done here. They actually know how to do SNS. They really take care of your nails so that they stay healthy. They have a HUGE selection of colors for regular, gel, and SNS. The manicurists here really take the opportunity to get to know you and build a relationship with you. Stephanie is my favorite! The girl who did my nails, I didn't catch her name, she seemed like she was in such a hurry to get my nails done and over with. This is my favorite nail salon. I came for the first time the day they opened. I go in about every 2-3 weeks all year long. The decor and furniture are not the standard pedicure chairs and nail stations. The owners and the staff really go the extra mile to serve their customers. The owners grew up and still live in this area and this business is their way of giving back to the community that formed them. It's also exceptionally clean and they use a set of newly sanitized tools on each customer. Last year I went through cancer treatment and this was the only place that I trusted given my weakened immune system. One caveat: they are in high demand so it's best to call ahead and make an appointment. They'll take walk-ins when they can accommodate them, but it's not unusual for them to be fully booked. read more

I've been here several times but I've discovered that if I don't have 2 or 3 hours to spend in a nail salon this is not a good choice. The host is HORRIBLE! And the staff jokes with how incapable he is. I don't find it funny at all. He double books the techs and then lies to the customers. I love Emily as a nail tech but after a few times of her being booked I felt pressured by her to try new techs and my nails would always mess up. She's always booked and the last time I went she suggested I use a tech that had done a great job on a pedicure I got in the past who actually told me she didn't know how to do nails. And now on this particular visit she was skilled. Ummmm.... needless to say my nails looked like chicklets. Did I mention you need 2 to 3 hours set aside! I tried to ride it out with these ladies because they were new but my time is too precious. Maybe I'll try them again in 6 months. The staff was very nice & friendly.... With that said you can tell the manicurist was pretty new. There was a few steps while getting my fill that didn't happen and the shape varied nail- to nail. They also didn't file under the nail to get the old yuckies out. And a week later they're already dull and chipped. So no longevity. My pedicure was very good tho... Paint job maybe not the best but she took her time and scrubbed my feet new and cleaned up my nails. Overall, the salon has potential, and new.... The interior is decorated well however the dark colors make for it to look dirty and dusty. You can tell in the months they have been open that the girls aren't doing their job on cleaning which is a bummer because the salon is quite beautiful. read more

Nice folks, seems clean, fab selection of regular and gel colors, and top brands (OPI, Essie, China Glaze). Have had traditional and gel manicures and pedicures here. The two gel manicures lasted three and a half weeks with no peeling. Pedicures are painless and my toes stayed without chipping or wear for nearly two weeks, even in flip flops. If you ever make the trip to this spot, you'll know why 'purple paradise,' is a fitting description! I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. Standard french for both. The attention to detail on both was impressive. They take their time and make sure everything looks perfect! *The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because my back hurts after the experience. It doesn't hurt because of the lack of massage chairs, which they don't have. Honestly, I've never really been fond of massage chairs at typical nail salons anyways; if I want a massage, I'll go get a massage. My back hurts because I received the manicure at the same time as the pedicure, which caused me to have to contort my body into not very comfortable angles to make it work out. First time visiting the salon and it was overall a good experience. I was a walk in on Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm. I was informed by the receptionist that there was no one available to do my gel fill in and pedicure until 4:00pm. I didn't have any plans and literally live right down the street, so I was able to leave and return for a 4:00 appt. There was another customer that was extremely annoyed about the wait time and I can completely understand. I would recommend making an appt... Upon arriving for my 4:00 appt I was taken to chair for pedi and my nails were done at the same time. The decor and overall atmosphere of the shop is gorgeous.
