Took my mom here and she got a gel manicure. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. There weren't too many ladies working and we had to wait. No big deal. When it was finally our turn the I was asked to soak my feet. The water was way too hot for me and the water was almost full to the top by the time cold water was turned on to temper it. So I soaked my feet in the water and waited. Again, no big deal. It was still so much on the warm side though that I ended up breaking into a sweat. I don't think they had the air conditioning on inside their store. Looking around my mom's gel manicure, her manicurist did a great job and she was very sweet. The lady that did my pedicure was also nice, well so I thought (until she took my payment). The lady that did my nails while I sat in the pedicure chair did a really bad job with my nails. I didn't realize how bad until I got home. See attached pics. When all was said and done and I was paying, I was told to add the tip to the receipt. I guess it wasn't good enough. As I gave the receipt back and thanked the lady who did my pedicure she just turned and walked away. No "you're welcome", no "thank you", no nothing. I will have to say that the lady that did my nails was kind enough to find me a regular polish and a gel polish that matched perfectly which I appreciate. It's just that the work was pretty bad and was rushed because they had people waiting after us. Overall a horrible job on my nails. My toes were ok though - but done by someone else. For expensive as this stuff is, never again! read more

I've been coming to this salon for a couple years now and I've never been overly impressed. There are a couple nail techs that do a wonderful job, however there's one who is downright awful. She is incredibly rude and is always so rough with my hands. This past weekend, I was unfortunate enough to have her handling my SNS. She didn't say a word when she started working on my hands, just threw everything in my lap. The nail colors, mini bean bag and the UV light - literally thrown down. At one point, I was rudely told, "Give me your hand!" She was also very rough with my fingers. In fact, I left with a few of them bleeding and now it hurts to have water even touch them. Based on other reviews, I know this same woman has already been mentioned. Unfortunately, I believe she is one of the owners if not, the owner. I pass by way too many nail places to get here from Duluth. Not sure why I've subject myself to this treatment for as long as I have, but I will not be back. read more

I have been going to Era nails for at least 6 years and was in the process of recommending it a friend when I pulled them up online to get their address... I was curious about the reviews and read a few...seemed pretty mixed so I thought I'd share mine! I am very happy with them and the service they provide. I always use Amy for my gel manicure and I am impartial to who does my pedicure. Amy also advises me when it time (about once a year) to take the gel off and also advises me very well on colors. I generally only have an hour to spare and I advise them. it seems to be the pedicures that take the most time. I also try to go on weekdays also because it is less crowded but I generally always call for an appointment just to be sure. I like that they use tub liners for the pedicures and like that they have different options for pedicures -- COOL SUGAR is great for the hot flashed :-) . I also like that they offer you a bottle of water. I think the gel take off is about $4 and the French pedicure is $5 extra. it runs me about $63-70 every 2 weeks (without 20% tip). ps they will also teach you Vietnamese if you are willing to learn. read more

I've gone to Era Nails 5 or 6 times this year. Every time I leave my nails look great. I only get gel manicures and they do a great job. The color is opaque and the finish is glossy. They last 2-3 weeks, no chips or issues of that sort. Era would get 5 stars if the overall experience was on par with my nails. The experience has been hit or miss. Sometimes they're fast, sometimes they're slow. Sometimes they're nice, sometimes they're rude. Sometimes they're focused, other times, they answer their cell phones or even walk away in the middle of the appointment to do some paperwork or something. Often they ask me to take a seat but then screw around for 5 minutes or so before they finally decide to get started. I also question the cleanliness just a little. I came in on a busy day and sat down at a station with the same towel laid out from the previous customer, nail clippings and shavings. Gross. I always feel like the stations need a good wipe down, some sanitation. So I always love my nails when I leave, but the experience is more often unpleasant. read more

I purchased a gift certificate from this establishment for a manicure and pedicure for my fiancé this past Christmas (December 2019). I called 10 minutes before posting this to ask if there was any way they could honor the certificate because of everything that has transpired due to the pandemic. I was met with a staunch "NO". So you're telling me that you're okay with TAKING my money, but you won't honor a gift certificate that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to use during the lockdown anyway? Finally went to this place to try it out and I loved it! It's a little bit more pricey but they do your nails as if it were theirs. My lady (Amy) had asked me some questions that I have never been asked before but I'm glad she did! I really do recommend this place. I will definitely be back! My nail tech, Vivian, did a good job, but her co-worker that did a pedicure and gel nail on my sister did a poor job. Not only was the tech rude, sloppy, and bled my sister, but she was practically yelling at her when sis tried to explain that it was uneven. Have you ever seen the Youtube video of Nail Salons by Angelah Johnson? My sister experienced the same exact thing. Her tech was trying to blame her that it was her crooked nail/finger that made the polish the way it is. LMBO!!! In addition, why would you pay $4 extra just for them to put acetone on your finger to take off gel nails and $3 extra for a french manicure when we're already paying for the gel polish? Wow, I came here because this salon is by far the best that I have been to in gwinnett, and I'm surprised by the reviews left here. Before I get to my own review of this place I want to leave responses to the previous two reviews because they are just ridiculous. Reviewer KL: MAYBE there Is a long wait and tons of phone calls because they are good?? People like them. Reviewer KN: I can't say anything about how long they took, the yelling, and bleeding. The only thing I wanted to get straight is that nearly all nail salons charge extra to take off gel and to get French tips. Why? It's called "it's more time consuming and more work on their end". OTHER nail salons that I've been to charges $5 for gel take off and another $5 for French, so don't be that cheap. Anyway, on to my review. I actually like this place. When I go to a nail salon, I go for a few reasons: I want my cuticles very clean, I want a nice, long, massage, and I occasionally get ingrown nails from wearing flats all the time. This place is the only place that I've found in gwinnett, who covers all that greatly. There is no rush job that you get in most nail salons, and they are all very sweet. I tried pretty much all of them, but the only girl that I wouldn't want to have my pedicure done by is the super young girl (I have no idea what her name is, but she is the youngest one). I watched her do my sister and friend's pedicures, and it wasn't anything special. The others are very good at cutting cuticles. I like to have mine cut very cleanly, and this place takes care of it! Honestly, I think that if you can't cut cuticles, then might as well just opt for a "polish change", so that is a definite plus! I like to get the $30 pedicure, and the massage they give is longg and amazing. This place is the only place I trust them with my annoying ingrown nail. Seriously. The color selection is pretty good, but I think it would be better if they added more to it. Not bad though! As for time: I call and make appointments, so generally I don't have to wait much once I get there. I guess they charge first time clients more? Salon had just opened and only had one other customer I walked in and asked how much a gel mani was and the lady hesitated and said a price. It wasnt until after my mani i grabbed a pamplet with a list of services and realized they overcharged me. It wasn't even that great of a manicure very basic and they didnt even use lotion for the hand massage part. You can find better nail salons at much reasonable prices. read more

I went back and they wouldn't redo them for me and were very rude. Not to mention that my nail got infected from their unsanitary tools they use. I've been here numerous times.... Every time I go we wait about 20 mins to be helped & seated. In addition to the 20 minutes of waiting it takes about 2 1/2 hours(on a good day) just to get my pedicure and manicure completely finished . I personally like my nails long, so I then no cut just file, but every time they take out a chainsaw and cut away my pretty nails, leaving them to a short stub. After the tech finished scrubbing your feet with the sponge they make you put your feet back in the water and then they proceed to wash the dirty sponge(with dead skin on it) off in the water that your feet are in. YUCK! I'm starting to question if the place is even sanitary? The phone is constantly ringing in here. The color selection is okay. The wait is terrible, ALWAYS. There is a young boy doing my nails now and he is completely inexperienced, supposedly this is his summer job. Maybe he should get a job somewhere that doesn't involve nails? The only nail tech that I enjoy doing my nail is a women nailed Amy. She's one of the only experience in this Salon. My mom and my sister have been waiting for about 45 mins now just to be helped. I went about a week and half maybe two weeks ago to get my nails done here. I had read a lot of really great reviews and am new to the area. I gave it a try. I got a deluxe pedicure (white tea I think?), a manicure, SNS, and a brow wax. The staff was really great. Super nice and easy to talk to. I'm big on going somewhere sanitary. They have the disposable bowl protectors. Also, it seems they use sterile pouches, for my feet at least. I didn't see the utensils she used on my hands come out of a sterile pouch though. The pedicure was great. The girl did a really good job although the pain on my toes is starting to chip. I've never really experienced that before so soon after a pedicure. Normally I can go at least a month without noticing that the paint is chipping, As for my nails, probably the best SNS job I've ever had. No chipping whatsoever. I think I paid $81ish for all of that. Is a little pricey but then again I got four services, one being a deluxe pedicure and SNS. I would go here again. My only criticism is that the decor probably needs some updating. Didn't look or seem modern or incredibly clean when I walked in, but they seemed to be sanitary based on the bowl covers and sterile pouches. Also, they soaked their instruments they used for my hand in solution and had the uv boxes as well. read more

The technicians who work there are rude and not clear regarding prices. When I asked about the price for a polish change I was told one thing and then charged another. It was very unprofessional.
