Needed a pedicure in advance of a beach visit so visited again for their friendly service in a very clean and stylish location!

I came here recently to get gel x for my nails. I had been here before for the same service and loved it. However, the owners seemed to have changed as I did not recognize any of the staff. The owner (older male) attempted to assist me with my service. I noticed he would pause and talk with another employee (his wife). I later figured out he was asking her how to apply gel x on nails. After 1.5 hours, my nails were looking very uneven. You could even see where my real nails and gel x nails were. I was never offered the nail color options they usually have on binder rings even though I asked numerous times for it. Without having the opportunity to pick a color, I just randomly guessed on which color I wanted for my nails. Eventually his wife took over and was very patient and kind with me. One thing I did not feel comfortable with was her applying a new set of gel x nails over the ones her husband had applied on the first time. I ended up asking her to stop and told her I was gonna go home from the amount of frustration I was feeling during my time there. I do not expect 100% perfection and flawless looking nails, but I do expect some satisfaction if I am paying a professional to do my nails. Now I have to wait for my nails to heal before I try getting gel x again. Unfortunately, I will not be returning here. Nails are incredibly brittle and weak, and nail beds have been cut open. read more

This was my first visit to this nail salon. I moved to Peachtree Corners less than a year ago and this is the 3rd nail salon I've been to and this has been the best. I was pleasantly surprised greeted upon entry and the atmosphere was very welcoming and Helen did my pedicure . She was very friendly and she did a very good job, meticulously polishing each toe, taking her time to clean up any residual polish surrounding any nail. Rose did a really good job on my feet. She has a really good attitude, and she fixed everything i asked with no problem. I've tried this place twice now. I love the fact that they have matching polish to the SNS, even to the gel polish. That's why I came back. They have a nice looking shop too. But I think it took longer than it would have at my normal salon. The lady doing my pedicure didn't understand what I was saying, so I couldn't communicate with her. She did a good job though. I just forgot they do the scrub, which I don't like and she didn't understand when I was saying I didn't want it. The older lady did my SNS nails. She burns you a little bit with the nail sander. I was uncomfortable leaning to my right side. Instead of doing one hand on the right of the chair & the other hand on the left, she stayed on the right side. There's also SNS underneath my nails. I'll keep looking for the perfect salon for me. I'm sure this salon is a good fit for others though. read more

I called about walk in appointments and immediately was greeted kindly by the owner. He is very nice and so is the lady who did my pedicure. The atmosphere was quiet, relaxed, and very clean. They made sure to get me exactly what I wanted but still showing my suggestions on what would work best for my big toes. Will be coming again for their white wine and customer service. Not even 5 days from the job my natural nails are separated from the acrylic and one nail completely broken. See pictures. I went back to the salon today to have them fixed by the same tech that completed the initial Job. I was seated immediately and he seemed very nonchalant about my concerns. His idea of fixing my nails was to attempt to pop them off. He tried to pop off a fresh acrylic set instead of soaking. Needless to say the pain was unbearable. He never apologized and kept asking questions about my service before him (which was at the same salon). I felt as though I was an inconvenience. After his final attempt to stick a tip nail In between the acrylic and my natural nail. I jerked back in pain asked him to cut all my nails with clippers and left. I will not return. PS. I don't have a labor intensive career and I noticed my nails were splitting 2 days after the job when I went to wash my hair and my hair kept snagging in my nails. *Updated* Wasn't thrilled with the polish job the first time. It looked like the polish wasn't applied with even coats to every layer. Same thing happened the second time, I saw the top coat while drying, it wasn't applied evenly, so the lines are still on the nails. Overall, good customer service, after this mishap. The shine of my nails is on point, the nail beds look sufficient. They did an ok job. Thankfully, now, I can enjoy my manicure and pedicure happily for the next week. read more

Under new management... I was a regular here and I will NOT be returning. I paid for the signature pedicure that includes a massage. No massage was given, and when I asked she literally stroked my leg up and down, and then smacked them twice. I told her that the pedicure I chose comes with a massage which is why anyone would opt to pay extra right?! She looked at me cluelessly. I said are you serious? That's it? She said yes. I came here since I tore one of my toe nails due to a hiking trip (didn't rip off at the tear). I thought that I would need acrylics to fix the nail like I had done previously. However, since I majorly procrastinated on getting it fixed (bandaids ftw!), my nail was able to grow out a bit. So when the nail tech cut off the ripped part of the nail, it seemed that it did not need much work done. The nail tech was honest and asked if I still wanted acrylics for the nail or just shape it. I went with the uneven shape instead of the acrylics and just enjoyed my pedi. But I definitely appreciate the honesty. I've been coming to Lamer for about 1.5 years now, and have since been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but I think I've hit my final straw. The nail techs are always very aggressive and in a rush, and treat customers as if they aren't paying a pretty substantial amount for services. My acrylics are always placed super sloppy (picture is a day after application). When I show an inspiration pic, the nail tech makes me pick my own powder to match the color.. aren't they the professionals?? This place is horrible. I asked for a manicure, but the nail tech asked me to choose the pedicure menu. When I did, I saw the price for the manicure as well. In the end, they tried to charge me more. When I confronted them and asked for the menu to check, the man who works there told me the price I saw was without nail polish. They are scammers, and I wouldn't suggest them to anyone. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and committed.
