Did not want to take it back and cause another month on top of the two months they had it at their shop. Turns out there was crystal clear water inside my electrical connection that my wiring harness was plugged into. I sopped up the water and fixed it myself. Also had the ac replaced but it doesn't work. Never did. They said it was my fault it was leaking because of some prior damage to the front end. Why even replace it if they knew it wouldn't work? I don't recommend them and it's true they think they are hot poop in this industry and it's true they are hot poop.

Even though that was fine with me, they took the time to drop the truck off to me and took an Uber back. I'm sure this is a very rare occasion, but they really wanted to make the customer happy. They took the time to read the camera instructions and taught me about it. I know that's not their job, but they do go above and beyond if they have the time. They are a very busy shop and it shows why. They take the time for quality. That's rare. It's worth the wait.

Huge bird crap on my hood when I got there, showed the guy he grabbed some window cleaner and started rubbing it all around. Drove home and didn't feel right, set up appt for recheck, told them to provide print out. Guy shows me before and after and they were off to begin with! Then they tell me it's because of my steering gear, didn't mention it the first time. Take my jeep home then notice a huge scratch on my front bumper. Went to talk to them and guy tells me they have video cameras and they will check, never got back to me, went down there again, and guy tells me , oh he needed to update his app to get the video and he would send it to me. Never received anything and they were the ones who told me about the video cameras and sharing the footage in the first place! Learn from my mistake, take your vehicle somewhere else!

Grant, whose business card lists him as an Estimator, was with me every step of the process. He welcomed me to the business, examined my car, discussed repair issues with me, and arranged a time for drop off and pick up since I was going put of town on vacation. I dropped my car off, went on my trip, and picked the car up when I returned. The car looks good as new! The body work was done and the car was thoroughly washed and cleaned and ready to go. Grant texted me during the process to make sure I was informed of progress. He was excellent! I depend on Yelp reviews when having to deal with choosing between unfamiliar businesses. I was comfortable choosing Carstar due to the rave reviews from Yelpers. Add me to the list of customers who enthusiastically recommend this as a place to have auto body work done.

They give me my quote and I drop my car off they anticipate it taking about 2 weeks to finish cool. I call them asking for updates after it had been almost a month and they tell me that the OEM headlights that they ordered came in broken and were on back order until December. So they recommend after market headlights as this was in September when they told me. I don't get headlights on my car that came in for a broken bumper for 3 months! Then I get my car back and everything seems fine until i notice there's a water leak in my headlights and then one of my bulbs goes out. I go to change my bulbs and messed with the conversion kit and got the wrong bulbs so i go back to carstar for them to tell me which ones i need to get. They tell me and I order them mind you they are of no help at all getting this fixed they told me they would reach out if it gets approved to fix by insurance and they never reached out I had to call them 2 weeks later after not having headlights for a months and zero help from these people. So i ordered the kit and put it in the car myself very simple unlike what Mike was saying about how complicated it is. Fast forward to about a week ago one of my headlights goes out again and at this point Im convinced it's because they didn't put the headlights assembly in correctly. As the bulbs haven't even been in a month and my headlights fog up anytime the car gets washed or is in rain. I decided to look at my invoice from them and do some research turns out these people never ordered the OEM bmw headlights and still charged it to the invoice along with lying to me for months about what is going on with my car saying that the headlights came in broken and were on back order since my car is 'rare' when they never even ordered it in the first place. These headlights cost $900 per headlight. I called the bmw shop they said they it from on the invoice and they hadn't sold the part since 2022! At the very bottom of the invoice they charged me $165 for aftermarket headlights and conversion kit in the miscellaneous repairs. These people are scammers and idiots that don't know how to work on cars take your business elsewhere unless you want them to use you to commit fraud along with holding your vehicle for 3 months! Horrible service from these people and also since my car sat in their shop for 3 months on a lie my starter went out and that was a nice extra $500 for something that wouldn't have happened at a body shop that's going to charge an arm and a leg for a simple repair you can do in your garage had they actually done their job.

They did quite a lot of work for the price, addressed reasonable related issues, but never tried to upsell me on unnecessary things. They did exactly what they said and kept it in the budget. They also did it in a timely fashion. I don't think it's reasonable to expect any mechanic to be chasing ghosts and have it done in a few days, but they had me in and out in 3 business days. Really an excellent turnaround time for what others would have taken MUCH longer to do. Thanks to Jeff and Dan for taking care of my old sentimental vehicle with lots of strange old car issues. I would send any of my family over there without hesitation.

BUYER BEWARE -- Sun Devil Trailers still owes me $6,500…read more More than a year ago, I paid Chris $6,500 to build a trailer that he promised to complete. To this day, I have received no trailer, no refund, no VIN, no photographs, and no evidence that construction ever began. Chris claimed he could provide a VIN, but I have never seen it. He later told me the trailer was trapped at a powder-coating shop because the shop's owner had allegedly failed to pay rent and the property was being foreclosed upon. When I confronted him and asked for evidence, he still could not provide a VIN, photograph, receipt, progress update, or anything demonstrating that my trailer actually existed. This is not simply a project running behind schedule. After more than a year, Sun Devil Trailers has my $6,500, while I have received absolutely nothing in return and no proof that my money was ever used to build the trailer I ordered. My experience is also not the only serious complaint involving this company. Arizona's Family's "On Your Side" reported that another customer waited 17 months for a mobile golf-simulator trailer and alleged approximately $50,000 in missing parts and materials. The report also stated that court records showed two judgments against Sun Devil Trailer Manufacturing for failing to pay employees. The BBB currently gives the company an F rating for failing to respond to complaints. Based on my firsthand experience, I believe I was repeatedly misled, and I strongly recommend that prospective customers do not give this company any money without independently verifying the trailer, VIN, materials, build progress, and ownership--and protecting every payment through a written contract and a recoverable payment method. Avoid Sun Devil Trailers (SDT)…read more In September 2025, I brought my single‑axle bass boat trailer to SDT to add a second axle. A one‑week job turned into nearly a month, with every delay blamed on "painting issues." I never received proactive updates--only excuses when I called. When I picked it up, the fender was still missing its matching trim color, which they said would arrive in two weeks. It still hasn't as of this review. Over the next few months, I dealt with two blown hubs on the same wheel, rubber stepping pads falling off because super glue was used as adhesive, and repeated trips back for repairs that didn't last. See photo of the first wheel‑bearing blowout. The owner answered his phone but never called with updates, even after missed deadlines. The breaking point was driving home with only three wheels for the second time--something that should never happen once. SDT claimed the axle and hubs were replaced, yet the wheels still looked misaligned. A different trailer repair shop inspected it and found incomplete welds, axles that didn't fit the trailer, uneven tire spacing, and axles that appeared old rather than new. See pictures of the welds. They also found a blown wheel bearing on the other axle, brakes installed on the front axle instead of the rear, and the fiberglass fender's paint cracking because the weight was resting on a single bar instead of being supported evenly. After dealing with all of this, I later spoke with other people and businesses who said they had also heard negative comments about SDT, which only confirmed the pattern. According to the repair shop, I was lucky I hadn't already been in an accident. July 2026, I am now starting over with a different shop.
