Before seeing Paula, I had milium cysts that I couldn't remove for a couple of years now. I was on the hunt for an esthetician that worked with milia. I was so happy to find Paula, booking was a breeze. She was awesome beginning to end and made my first facial so enjoyable. She was really attentive to everything from the products I used at home to my skin type. If you're looking for a well experienced esthetician, I'd recommend Paula. She uses nothing but top of the line technology and products, you won't be disappointed. read more

Only trust one person with my hair and it's Misty! She's a talented young artist great at cuts, colors, you name it. She works well with you on what you're trying to achieve and keeps you included in each step. Misty helped me achieve my hair goals and taught me how to trust the process. It was not done in one session but over time I definitely reached it! I highly recommend booking with her if you're in the search for a new hairstylist in the kakaako area. read more

This was my first tattoo. I was very nervous. I was even more nervous since I wasn't asked about my preference on shape or color of my brows. Thank god she did not ask me because it would have looked too done up causing me to need to wear eye makeup. Leanne did such a great job on my brows. They look very natural. It did take me a little time to get use to them since my natural brows are uneven. Leanne was able to correct this and they look amazing! I would not go anywhere else. She knows what she is doing. The salon is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. read more

Hi my name is Jen Toyama. I am so beyond thrilled to find a gem in this studio, his name is Todd! I was referred to him from a friend that once did a balayage with him. She said he was super sweet and took good care of her. So I went and fell in love. Not only is Todd an old classmate of mine but he is such a knowledgeable hairstylist. He works with you and the look you're going for and doesn't pressure you into doing anything you're not comfortable with. I love that he takes the time to explain the whole process. About 3 months ago I did a color correction to get my hair one color in order to do my balayage. I'm someone who likes to save money, so I've been using box dye for a very long time which led to discoloration on different areas of my hair. Todd was very helpful in choosing which full color to get. Now, fast forward to Sept. 4, 2018 I was ready for my nice beige/blonde balayage. I never thought my hair would take to the bleach so well. We did a medium amount of foils and toned my hair afterwards. I am beyond happy with the results of my balayage. Todd is so considerate and helpful I'd recommend him to all of my family and friends!!! read more

If you're thinking of getting your hair done, I definitely recommend Luxe! Misty to be exact! I didn't really know what to expect at first . I've seen her Instagram page but Im very hesitant with other people cutting my hair . But I decided to give her a try and I am more than satisfied! She's very friendly and easy to talk to. I also noticed that she uses organic products like John Masters, which I'm all for everything organic. Thank you Misty! I will definitely be back ! read more

Leanne is the best at applying lashes to my lashes! They last me forever and are great quality! She is patient and I always fall asleep...next thing you know, my beautiful lashes are on and I am ready to go! I love the work she does, and her lashes shop is clean, designed very well and her beds are so cozy to lie on. Great music she plays too! I will return in the near future for fills! Thank you Leanne and Thank you Fellow Yelpers for reading my daily reviews! read more

I haven't got to experience the joys of having Leanne or her team bless my eyes with extensions but I do get sugaring and threading done here by Saori. Love her! I've actually followed her from the previous salon she was with. She's so easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable with everything skincare and hair removal. The sugaring doesn't hurt at all if you're used to waxing but if it's something new you're trying out she'll talk you through everything. she also turned me on to facial threading which I'm so happy about because with out it I would look beastly! I used to wax parts of my face but I would break out in clusters pretty bad a couple days later. Not the case here. Everyone I've spoken to on the phone or bumped into at the salon are super sweet and very professional. Just one of those places you always recommend to family and friends. read more

Leanne is amazing at what she does. Needed desperate help with my eyebrows and I am glad I went with Leanne. After some time following mutiple artists on social media that do both microblading and powder brows and some research about the two types of brows I went with my gut and made an appointment with Leanne at Luxe Honolulu. I cannot explain how satisfied I am with my results and the service I received at each of my visits. Leanne is not only a beauty, but also a professional and amazing at what she does. I would highly recommend her if you want microblading done. Overall, the salon is clean and modern. Staff nice and friendly. I love the email and text reminders for appointments and updates. Different services are offered at Luxe Honolulu, but if you want your eyebrows microbladed book an appointment with Leanne. read more

I decided to make an appointment here after getting my lashes done elsewhere and being unsatisfied with the inconsistency of my lash fills. They weren't bad at all, but they weren't as full as I wanted - and not as full as other friends' ones. I called for an appointment with Jenn Kim and got a phone call back within 24 hours to schedule an appointment. She was very sweet and helpful over the phone and inquired who I would get lashes from before and that she would have to take a look at my lashes, but could definitely take me in. Her schedule was pretty booked up, so the soonest I could come in was a couple weeks later. I parked in Waterfront Plaza (Restaurant Row) and they validate parking. Oh my, my lashes were pretty bare a couple weeks later and was so excited to come get them done by Jenn. My appointment was at 4pm and I walked in at 3:50 and noticed she was working on another client and amazingly finished her, had me sign some papers, and had me on the table at 4:05. Talk about time management! We chit-chatted a little bit about my existing lash experience, what kind of lashes I wanted, etc, before I totally fell asleep. I guess their awesome playlist lulled me to sleep. Their shop is so clean, so comfortable, so gentle, and they're so sweet! Leanne was also there working on a girl when I went in but left by the time I was done. When she told me to sit up and take a look at my lashes - holy crap, I loved them! Nothing like I'd ever had and it was so full and noticeable!! Left super duper happy and excited I found the perfect lash artist. Make sure to call in advance for an appointment since they're in high demand - dah, cause they're THAT good! Happy I finally listened to my friends who have been telling me to switch over. :) read more

If you're looking to get quality eyelash extensions, I recommend this place. I've tried other eyelash salons (Suki's, Kristin Wood, and the deadly $30-a-pop eyelash places) and Luxe Lashes by Leanne is significantly better all around. I've had my lashes done by Jenn Kim and Eve, who are both excellent and very friendly. They make you feel comfortable on the table and are both quick with their lash application. Speed is something that I desire, being that my bladder is the size of a pea and I always have to get up to use the bathroom. During one session at another eyelash salon, they made me lie still for 4 hours straight. Impossible if you have a pea-sized bladder. But Jenn and Eve are quick when applying a full set and the quality of their work is impeccable. If you've never experienced what a quality eyelash salon can do, you need to try it. I know $250-$300 sounds quite scary and ridiculous, but it is worth it for the quality you get. I used to spend $30 to get eyelash extensions, and it was a poor choice on my part. Basically, you pay for what you get. If you want your eyelashes to look like an arthritic spider is sitting on your eyelid, well then go right ahead and go to the cheap salons. But if you want to look and feel beautiful, with light feathery FULL eyelashes that you can't even feel, then come here. Make sure you schedule an appointment beforehand, and follow their directions to eyelash extensions carefully. If no one answers and you leave a voicemail, someone from the shop will contact you quickly. Their response time has always been great when answering their customers. read more

I love Leanne! I started seeing her in March 2011 because I wanted lash extensions for my wedding. I loved having them for the wedding because I didn't have to worry about false eyelashes falling off because of tears and they looked great in photos and our video. After getting them done I just can't seem to live without them. I moved to Kauai this year but I fly back every two to three weeks just to get my lashes done. There are places on Kauai, but my trust lies with Leanne. She is knowledgeable, patient, and professional. I have barely there lashes so I love the look that the extensions give me. Leanne takes her time to attach each lash extension to your real lash being really careful. I have sensitive eyes that are irritated easily but I have never had a problem with the lashes because Leanne is not only gentle but everything is sterile and clean as well. After you get them done, you can sweat, go swimming, and pretty much go about your daily life. The part I love best is not having to worry about putting on strip lashes or mascara daily. If you're looking to get your lashes done, definitely come see Leanne. You won't be disappointed. read more

I came here to get my hair done by Misty. It took us two sessions to get to this color and it came out just the way I wanted it to. I was so ugly and now I am so beautiful. I wish I could tell you something different but this is my truth. Leanne is the queen and her staff are all so very sweet. I've been to a few different ladies for this service but Lux is by far the best. THE BEST MUSIC TOO! Easy parking, easy to keep track appointments... the only thing I wish was better was their availability. Maybe I shouldn't be posting this review after all. Don't want to blow up my spot? Nah, they are just the best. Adding this to my cancer list because vanity is a thing! If you are diagnosed and want to do something to cheer yourself up, this is the thing to do! Micro-blade new brows on and get those lashes extended before they fall out! They might never fall out and you will really feel great. It matters. read more

After posting this review, I was contacted by the salon, given a chance to explain my experience, apologized to, and offered a chance to have my lashes fixed. I was definitely hesitant at first, but the salon co-owner was very genuine and persistent so I decided to book the appointment. My appointment went well. It wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. My lashes looked great, but overall I don't think the volume lashes are for me. They didn't last as long and had more noticeable fallout, which I was warned of by their staff (because I workout/sweat a lot). I am very impressed with this company's efforts to make me feel better about my previous lash experience. I'll stick with the classic set moving forward. They truly do an awesome job! read more

I decided to get lash extensions for my wedding because there was a high chance that I'd be a crier. You know, 'omg *sob* I am so *sob sob* happy!' I was deathly afraid of having a rogue caterpillar on my eye during pictures (aka when your falsie pops off) so I made an appt with Luxe Lashes by Leanne. *** LLL is in Waterfront Plaza (aka Restaurant Row) and parking is validated! There's always been parking when I've gone. Call for an appointment because they are in high demand and their schedule is packed! ***Jenn K was able to fit me into her schedule and I'm so glad that she did. She's so sweet! My first appointment for a full set took 3 hours. Yes, 3 HOURS but it went by quickly. The beds are comfortable and they have blankets in case you get cold. I took a nap, had a great time chatting with Jenn, and just. zoned. out. It was great! Plus, Leanne makes the best playlists ever. Sometimes I feel like I'd come and hangout just for the music. ***After she was finished and I sat up, I was blown away by how awesome my lashes turned out. I loved them! The quality of her work is OUTSTANDING, which brings me to talk about the... ***...price. LLL's extensions are on the pricier side but they are seriously seriously seriously worth it. I promise. I've experienced multiple lashes glued to one extension before (at another unmentionable place. omg it was so painful! never again) and Jenn has never put me through such agony. If you want to get extensions, Luxe Lashes by Leanne is definitely the place to go. The technicians here are pros at what they do---I enjoyed having eyelash extensions so much that I've decided to keep them after the wedding! I really could tell in my footage/shots: having extensions make a difference, to me, anyway. Also, people told me their falsies were popping off since we were standing in the sun to take pics for a while---I was SO thankful that I got my lashes done. Thank you LLL and Jenn! read more

Luxe Lashes by Leanne is hands down, the best in the lash biz. Eve was my lash stylist, and she upheld every expectation I had about Luxe Lashes. I have gotten my lashes done at another place before, and it was good for the cheap price. However, the professionalism and the skill I received from Luxe Lashes was worth the extra dough. I was waiting and waiting to try this place, but never could spare the extra cash. Luckily, I saw an apprentice special for $150 and scheduled my appointment with Eve. OMG, best investment ever. The experience was awesome, and I give these girls mad props for the amazing work they do. They go into every little detail to make your lashes PERFS. I will never try another lash place as long as there is Luxe Lashes. Schedule your appointment ladies, this apprentice special is good till July. Thank you again Eve for making my experience epic. :) read more

Leanne, Eve, and Jen are definitely the best in the business! I have been going there about about 6 months now and never left disappointed. My extensions don't ever feel heavy. Prices are reasonable for the quality of work they provide. They take their time and you never feel they're rushing to finish to get to the next client. They definitely work with your schedule and do their best to fit you in if you need to come in prior to your next appointment. Leanne even recently won a lash competition in Vegas! read more

As a first time mom of a crazy almost-two-year old I often find myself running out the door only to realize I forgot to get myself ready! Tired of looking like a hot mess I looked for ways to get ready in the shortest amount of time as possible. Enter microblading (and lash extensions). I don't know why I didn't have my brows microbladed sooner! Such a time saver! Not only do I not have to take the time to fill them in, and then worry that they're somehow uneven or melted off in the heat or smudged off by a crazy toddler...I also can stop my endless search for the perfect brow products! Going back to why I never had them done sooner...I know why. My fear or needles or anything tattoo-like. But once I decided to do it, I was so happy! I trust Leanne completely and knew I was safe in her hands! As for the pain? Not much! I pretty much took a nap during the entire process and woke up to fabulous brows! Luxe is great! Great pricing, professional and super friendly service, a comfortable environment (hello nap time!) and tons of validated parking (always a huge plus in my book!) all that and you walk out with great brows (and lashes!) read more

It's been pretty much one year since I started my eyelash extensions with Luxe Lashes. Before going to Luxe Lashes, I went to another place and I thought they were good (Nothing to compare it to) but now I know what is quality and I love Luxe Lashes. I go to Jenn and she is so awesome. Excellent customer service! My lashes last about 4-5 weeks. By the 4th week my lashes still look full. She also does it in a timely manner. I am so glad I found this place. I highly recommend anyone to go here. It is worth it. read more

I get my hair cut by Queny and I think she is great! She does a great job and her prices are reasonable, she is also very personable and kind. I highly recommend Queny. I do not know about their other services. read more

This review is long overdue! All I can say is that Leanne is the best! I've been going to Leanne for my eyelash extensions for quite some time now. She is very nice, professional & really knows what she is doing! Her attention to detail is amazing & she is a perfectionist (in a good way) down to each lash. Other places may offer you a cheaper price but you get what you pay for! You want someone specially trained like Leanne to do eye lash extensions not just anyone who offers a deal too good to be true. Lash placement is critical to ensure your real lashes & your eye doesn't get affected! So please do not go to anyone else! Luxe Lashes is the best!!! They also offer other services too so check them out. I also get my eye brows tinted there & love it! read more

Leanne is the Best Lash Stylist in Hawaii!! Gentle, Professional and I leave looking great!!

I have been meaning to write this for quite a while now, so - Leanne - I'm sorry this has taken me 4 years. Yes, people - that's right. I've been a loyal client of Luxelashes for almost FOUR YEARS. Four whole years of having awesomely long, full beautiful eyelashes. Here's a few of the too many to list reasons to go see Leanne and her team of stylists: 1. Skill - Have you seen some women walking around with extensions that look like Chinese Fans were glued to their eyes? You won't get that here (unless you really, really want that look I'm sure they can accomodate, lol). The stylists are awesome - they will explain the different options available to you and the end result looks glam, but still natural. 2. Efficiency - Leanne and her team make sure to schedule your appointment, they stay on time, and they even send reminder e-mails and text messages two days prior to remind you of your appointment. I've been to so many different places in my life for beauty-licious groooming - from NYC to Honolulu, and I haven't been to such a well run shop until I started going Luxe. 3. Atmosphere - Such a chic place to relax and get made a prettier version of yourself! Awesome lighting, loungy music (Euro loungy, not college campus loungy) pumping through the speakers, super comfortable beds and amazeballs sheets to crawl into for a hour or so. I usually see Leanne, but have been seeing Jasmine for the past couple of months due to a scheduling conflict. Poor things - they have to listen to me snore every time I visit. :) Everyone there is super friendly and I always feel comfortable and welcome there. 4. Parking - Location is in Restaurant Row right across from Ruth's Chris. Luxe validates, so you're good to go. Not having to battle for street parking or for a spot in a super tiny parking lot is a major plus. 5. Pricing - Can you go to a back alley nail salon and get extensions for $30 a set? Sure. Why would you want to? They are going on YOUR EYES! Do yourself a favor - pay a little bit more and get the quality (and cleanliness) you deserve. Luxe is super reasonable and in market with the services rendered. And don't forget to tip your awesome lash artist! 6. Full Service - Leanne has extended her place to include so many more services - it's one stop shopping!!! You can go and get sugaring, threading, microblading, hair styling and makeup - just be sure to make the appointment! I've got microblading on my wish list so I never have to pencil in my brows again. You'd be doing yourself a major disservice if you don't give this shop a try. Just do it - make the appointment already. You'll love them. Leanne and Luxe Ladies - You gals are awesome for what you do every day. You help make women feel better about themselves and THAT is priceless. Thanks so much. See you for my re-lash! :) read more

I can't live without my Luxe ladies!! As much as I miss some of my old stylists I absolutely LOVE me my Candace, Tracy, and the queen herself, Leanne. Candace and Tracy both have great time management and always get me out on time while STILL being so attentive and making my lashes as full as it can be with the time given. Another lady I can't live without is Kaliko - she never lets me leave without making sure I'm all set for my next appointment. Attention to details like this have made me a repeat customer for over a year. I almost forgot how easy and plentiful parking is AND the fact that they validate Thank you Luxe dolls for everything you do! read more

Seeing Luxe Lashes by Leanne on Instagram was the eye catcher for me! Loved seeing the pictures of "fast & cheap and what you pay for" lashes. I've seen and experienced "fast & cheap" and was tired of getting the same results with different lash salons even if the price was over $100. I'm OCD when it comes to details and it was time to step out of my comfort box and really get what I pay for! And YES, you do get what you pay for! Worth every minute and penny. Leanne is wonderful and made me feel comfortable. She is very easy to talk with about what you want and she does not rush anything. She has made my search for thee BEST lashes in Hawaii stop here! I started seeing Leanne in August 2012 and have recently seen Jen Kim and both are just amazing! I love getting my lashes done! I have kept up with my current set, filling every 2-3 weeks, since the end February. As long as I brush them out, they really do last and never look clumpy or patchy. It takes a while, even for fills, but you have to think- the work is precise like surgery :) Amazing customer service and they always find a date that works for my crazy schedule. They last about 2-3 weeks depending on how oily your skin is etc. I go every 2 weeks to get them redone. Love it!!! read more

If you are looking for great quality lash extensions look no further! Leanne and her staff are simply AMAZING!!! You pay for what you get and it is always quality work! No clumps, no unnecessary damage to your natural lashes. Leanne and her staff take great care in cleaning and applying the extensions, not only do they do quality work the salon is very clean! I've had my lashes done at other lash salons before and have had trouble with clumps and lash extensions twisting and pulling on another lash making it difficult to blink, irritating my eyes. At Luxe you never ever have to worry about that, you always get quality work with Leanne and her staff. I love it here. Truthfully, I followed my girl Saori here from her previous lash place, but if I hadn't, I would definitely recommend this place. Cool, hip, always with an awesome soundtrack playing, it's the perfect place to relax and get your glam on. The lashes are affordable, it's clean, comfortable and professional. Saori is top notch...always accommodating my needs (squeezing me in last minute, shuffling around her schedule...that's loyalty right there!). I absolutely love the extentions. I had a newer employee work on my lashes so it took a while but she was very thorough. When she finished she had Leanne check them to make sure they were on well and facing the correct angles. It was soothing to lay down while doing these extentions. The last time I had extentions done with a Groupon for a company in Hawaii Kai I had to sit a while in a salon chair that reclined back so thus was a treat. Because the girl was training she asked to take pictures of her work so I let her. It's nice to go to a place that specializes in eyelash extentions..and because of that they were very particular about how it is done. They brush your lashes and extentions often so they don't tangle. read more

Been going back to Matt for my relashes. He's super friendly and has a huge smile on his face which is awesome especially at 8:30 AM because I'm not a morning person. I recently got my full volume set from Leanne just the other day. Her lash boutique is hands down the best on Oahu. Air conditioned, super cute ambiance and beds were comfortable as well. One of my girlfriends who has been seeing Leanne for the past 3 years was always recommending I go see her and I'm disappointed that I didn't go sooner! Very professional and hygienic. Leanne did a consult to see what type of look I was going for and I liked how she used gloves as well. I've been to other shops and nothing compares to Luxe Lashes, the quality of work is like no other! She took her time gluing each lash and the end result was amazing, no lashes crisscrossed, no clumps of glue and I didn't feel them weighing down. Leanne also mentioned that they are now one of 15 salons worldwide who have been certified in brow extensions! I have already scheduled my next three relash appointments and highly recommend anyone looking to get extensions, to see Leanne or any of the friendly girls there! read more
