I have been using Lux Cleaning for my home cleaning for about 4 or 5 years now and I love them so much that I not only recommend them to my family & friends I also hired them to clean the companies I've worked at and now my boss has them cleaning his house as well. I struggle to decide between one and two stars. I had Monica and Phillip at our home for a cleaning. I had high hopes, as Marci led me to believe would be real. They showed up and got in an argument while my mother, who just got out of surgery (that's why they were needed) was laid up in a recliner. They were yelling at each other from opposite sides of the house! In their language... I wish they would have just left. They claimed to wash my tile floor. I'll start by saying, I've never written a bad review. I just want to make people aware of who they are hiring and having in their home. I'm from Ohio where my mother and I had a very successful cleaning company for years. I ended up having to leave Ohio and my business due to my husband joining the Marine Corp. As a Marine family we needed some extra income, I saw this company post an ad on Facebook looking for employees. I called, was hired immediately over the phone. The owner never met me, no background check, nothing. The very next day she(the owner) has me meet her mother at a home in Dana point. After sitting in my car for 30 minutes she finally shows up. We go in the home, where she lies to the customer and says I'm her daughters friend and had been working with them for a few months. Weird! So we go to start cleaning. I being a previous owner of a cleaning company was shocked. You would think being a Monday the supplies would be stocked and ready to go for the work week, not the case. Every bottles of cleaner was empty or close to empty. No sponges to clean, no toliet brush!! It was very hard to do my job. Being a slight perfectionist I was immediately annoyed and felt awful for the customer that I couldn't provide the service they are paying good money for. Well we finish the first house and the owners mother was not happy with how long it took. If my company was there we would have been there another hour or so. I felt like quiting right then. These customers paid good money for their home to be clean. It was not even close due to rushing and not having proper supplies. I thought of my family and continued on to the second house which by then I had barely any supplies to clean with. Again I was rushed. By the time we got threw that house I knew I couldn't continue working for this company. I couldn't walk into these homes and look at the customer knowing the work they are paying for was not being done. I called in and told them it just wasn't working out. I was told I would be paid the following Friday. Ok ready for this, I still have not been paid and its been months. I see the customers of this company have mixed reviews. I just wanted to share my experience hoping it will help future customers or employees. read more

The two person team showed up early which was nice, man was the bulk of cleaning team, the woman did fairy cleaning, dusting the same 7 things for 2 hours. The baths were cleaned, not the tubs so much but in general OK. Won't have them back ever nor will I recommend them. Never got a follow-up call to see if I was satisfied with the service, I guess the check cleared the bank, that's all that mattered right! Waste of money here. read more

I called Lux Cleaning because of the reviews but what a disappointment. I had to clean after they left when I noticed all the dusting that didn't get done. Dusting around objects is not the way it should be done leaving dust behind. Also never had a cleaning company not clean soap dishes in bathrooms, empty the trash, vacumn the stairs or clean cabinet door glass. My fiancee and I just bought our first home and we really needed a deep cleaning. The previous owner had several cats so everything was pretty filthy. I called 3 other companies before I called Lux Cleaning. They were kind enough to come out to Corona even though it says they service the OC area. I like that they were able to quote me over the phone just by answering a few questions. They were a little late but I told them I was flexible and I understand the crazy commute into Corona, so that was no problem. There is no way I could have cleaned the whole house myself so I'm glad I called them. Two young gentlemen did a great job. A few nights before I had ripped out the carpet of two rooms so the rooms were filled with so much filth and dust but they took care of that pretty quickly! I don't think the oven had ever been cleaned, everything was caked on and black. Somehow they made it look like new inside, same with the fridge. They missed maybe one or two small details but over all I am satisfied and would call them again! The whole job took 4.5 hours between two people and the pricing was very reasonable. read more

I had outstanding experience with this company. I was moving out and placed inquiries with several companies through email. Lux answered the first; the owner was very responsive and after a brief conversation we decided on date and time. Two cleaning experts, Misha and Petr, showed not only on time but a few minutes earlier. They were a pleasure to communicate with and after a walk through the apartment they started to clean immediately. Each knew what part they were going to start with, you could see they were an experienced team. I left to do errands and they texted me when they were done. Since it was a move out type of cleaning, the did a lot of hard work for three hours. When I came in, they were not chatting or busy on their phones like some people nowadays, but they were cleaning my stereo speaker that my kids drew on with crayolas! They absolutely didn't have to do this, it was not part of the apartment. I was amazed because coming across individuals that find something to do in the downtime are rare. The work they have done on the apartment was outstanding, for example, they made my greasy stove look like new and toilet bowls look better than when we moved in five years ago. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to others because a) the communication and appointment set up was easy and b) Misha and Petr are just amazing people with hard work ethics. read more

Marci was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. The two cleaners arrived on time and did a good job. I wouldn't say excellent because they missed a few spots and they did a good/great enough job that is expected of any house cleaning services. One of my hesitations in getting a house cleaner is that they never clean the place as good as you would do it. I used to have one come weekly but then it got expensive and I started to clean myself. But of course we get lazy and would rather do other things with our time than clean a house. But overall, I am happy with the service and the two people that were here. They were very friendly and worked non stop. For a 1200 sq ft home, it took them approx 3 hours and I'm happy with the results. Shocked that they didn't really use water to clean the showers and kitchen and only used their products. Would def recommend and use them again. Next, I had a last minute realtor showing, and given my other duties to get ready, there was no way I would have the house in picture-perfect condition before the realtor's showing appointment.
