I am extremely saddened and disappointed to have to leave this review. After the two men finished cleaning, the home looked great minus a few things. However looks can be deceiving. After a deeper look and later on, I realized it was still very dirty. The bathroom could have been cleaner, the kitchen was discussting, the dishes were very dirty, the floor sticky and greasy. I could have did a better job myself. I am extrmely frustrated with the results and will never use them again. Not to mentions her cleaners hid dirt on the counters under plates. Overpriced for nothing. I do not recommend this company. As I stated before, looks can be deceiving. Seeing your response shows you're unprofessional, and I as well can show pictures.By saying thanks love that does not mean harassing. Your companies work ethic is definitely an issue. Toaster had oil spots on it, the floor being sticky your workers said that it was very dirty and actually agreed. I gave them $70 becuase if you were such an outstanding business owner you would know to pay attention to pricing. This review is legit and I even have to use another company this thursday to actually clean what your company did not. I didn't have the best experiences with this company. I had trouble scheduling a time for them to come out both times. The response time was slow and I had to re-contact the owner to remind her I was still waiting for her to contact me back. She quoted my entire condo at $90 flat, but I ended up having to pay over $230. I understood that our house hadn't been cleaned in a long time, but that's a very large difference from $90. The second time they came out, I told them to not even clean the bedrooms or 2 of the full bathrooms. I assumed I would pay the $90 as I'm sure they have a minimum. When they were done, I was told it was $70/hour and ended up paying $155! Our place was dirty, but I made sure everything was picked up and easy to get to. It certainly wasn't $155 bad. My condo is only1500 SF --minus 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They didn't even clean the outside portion of the fireplace that I asked them to clean or the top of the stairs as I asked. I also texted Marci, the owner, to confirm the price while they were still there and never received a response. Other than the lack of response, Marci was very nice. Other people had good experiences, so I may have been the unlucky one. I'll probably go with a larger, more well known company from now on. We hired Marci to clean our new home before the movers came in with our furniture and they did a great job! Knowing that the movers would probably track in dirt, they focused on the baseboards, kitchen, and bathrooms first. I chose to have them skip on the windows since it wasn't necessary for the time being. A crew of 4 came in and finished in about 4 hours. I felt horrible for the cleaners when they had to keep cleaning areas that the movers made dirty again, but I'm glad that Marci had the sensibility to tell them to stop (so we were unfairly overcharged). I thought her service was wonderful! They were a little late, but that's okay. They did more than what I could have imagined and they made moving into our new home less stressful! I'm live in Los Angeles and I wanted to get my girlfriend a really awesome deep house cleaning for her place in Irvine, so I pointed my tiny computer that occasionally makes phone calls to Yelp to see what everyone had to say and I'm stoked to report the people who reviewed Lux Cleaning Service did not let me down! Definitely a 5 star experience from start to finish. Here are some highlights: + They arrived on time with all their own cleaning equipment and supplies. I'm used to house cleaners showing up with nothing more than a blank stare and using my tennis shoes to clean the shower... These guys even bring their own trash liners for every size can, like the bathroom cans which I am too cheap to buy liners for! + Communication was excellent throughout, we covered everything to be done in advance and it was all done to perfection. They said yes to everything on my list. I'm not used to that kind of service. + They have exceptionally tall people on staff which is really nice for getting those high ceilings cleaned. My cleaning service in LA typically ignores anything over 5 feet off the ground. + They do windows! Both sides! Maybe this is normal, but no one else ever does the outside of my windows. + One of the bathtubs we have never been able to get very clean and I've even tried dynamite. Somehow they got this tub clean, I can only assume sorcery was involved. It's a miracle. + They are very respectful of your space and we have all kinds of animals with various special needs, such as making sure the kitten escape artist remains in the house. They were on top of all that. I would recommend them to anyone, and as a business owner I really like to support other small businesses when they provide the level of service I would expect from my own staff. I just used this cleaning service for the first time today. I contacted the owned earlier in the week (Tuesday)to make arrangement to have my home cleaned on the weekend(Saturday). She texted me and confirmed the day and time. And informed me for an initial cleaning she charged $30/person per hour. The cleaning crew of two arrived on time and had their own cleaning supplies. They cleaned my home for 4.5 hours and were very polite and courteous. They completed my list of things to do and then some. My home has honestly never been this spotless. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay. But you get what you pay for and I got phenomenal results. One thing I also wanted to mention that I thought was awesome was that when they cleaned my sofa and found loose change and dollar bills they collected all loose changed and left it for us on the table in a neat pile. It would would have been so easy for anyone to just pocket the loose change we never knew was there to begin with. Sounds like a small gesture but that goes a long way for me. I was really hoping that Lux Cleaners would do an exceptional job due to the high ratings and the higher premium that I was paying. Was I ever disappointed. I thought I was getting a deep cleaning before family arrived from out of town for the holidays, but that's not what happened. The pictures speak volumes. First, I had to re-mop our kitchen floor, because it was so dirty. The outside of the toilets were still dirty and there were still dust bunnies everywhere AND several surfaces were clearly not dusted at all! I called Marcella to let her know what had happened and she assured me that her crew would come back the next morning to correct the problem. Not only did they not show up with a vacuum to suck up the dust bunnies (I guess she used a rag?) but they didn't even spend 15 mins at my house. The cleaning lady apologized, saying that they had two new houses to work on, along with their regular schedule. That's why they were so rushed to clean my place. I would have rather been told that they were fully booked then pay $210 for such a terrible job. I will never use this cleaning company again. Marcella, please don't accept new clients if your workers don't have time to do a good job. It's not fair to them, to your clients that don't get the expected level of service and to your company's reputation. read more

Today was the 4th cleaning session of my apartment and to come back after a run in the morning to a spotless house after only about 45 minutes with the two that came in and cleaned is so awesome. It has taken a lot of cleaning companies to get the right one! I am so happy I was able to connect with Marci and are on a good schedule with each other for morning cleanings. I highly recommend this service to anyone out there. I know my apartment isn't that big and I am mostly always gone from it so it doesn't get to beat up but being by the beach it is just always dusty and gritty, they come in clean it up and it stays that way for some time. If you want something extra cleaned, just ask and they will make it so. She sent a team of two, Monica and Phillip, who worked efficiently and thoroughly to make my apartment inspection ready. They did a pretty good job. Made it easy with over the phone payment and quick appointment. Phone call was pretty unprofessional with kids screaming/crying and other noise in the background. Nothing wrong with it, just isnt very professional. They missed a few things in the house which was disappointing. Top of Fridge wasnt wiped...cobb web between window and screen and they supposedly opened the windows to try and clean the outside... not very impressed with the window aspect. I tried her cleaning service for several months because my regular cleaning ladies had a few month off due to family matters. At first, Marcella or Marci came and she acted as an interpreter between me and the cleaning ladies Everything sounded great & understanding for each other and ladies seemed to know their task and cleaning instructions. However, the performance of these two ladies was a big mess. I am not too sure where/which area and what kind of homes these ladies used to clean. First of all, they don't have any ideas where to start cleaning homes from the window blinds to floors and furniture. They didn't bring any cleaning tools. I literally had to walk with them thru one by one. I still tried to bear with this inconvenience since it was their firs time. However, when they returned after two weeks, I had to start all over again with them. They literally walked in with no ideas how to start or where to start. Also after they left, all the stuff was not placed in the right place so my husband and I had to find our stuff from the cabinets or behind the counter all over. Regardless, I still tried hard to stick with them since my regular cleaning ladie weren't available for a few months. When I called Marcella for the schedule change in advance, that was the moment I got really disappointed with her and her business. In the very beginning, she acted like she was trying hard to find a new client for cleaning service. However, even though I had been using their service every other week for my house, Marcella treated my phone call in a very irresponsible manner when I requested one time schedule change. She never returned my call nor she didn't treat such request in a professional manner. I have read all the positive reviews people posted about this cleaning service and it's amazing to see their great experience with her. For me, I won't ever try her service nor refer her to any of my friends. They will be there when they need you as a new client but they are not very reliable crew in terms of quality service as well as their professional manner in treating customers once they start to have more clients around. read more

UPDATE: I have had Lux cleaning service for a little over 3 months now. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them as I was hoping, at one time, to do. They are not thorough. For example, two people came over, which is standard for them, and 3 wastebasket were not emptied. The fibergkass bathroom tub had rust marks when they left that could have easily been remived. The dining room table: he did that maneuver where he didn't remove centerpiece and a table runner.....just dusted 'around' it. Ditto for the kitchen. They are not consistent and there is always something left unclean. I'm off the philosophy that if you were in the business of cleaning then you should do a very thorough and consistent job and not forget to throw out the trash. Additionally, each time they come the owner doesn't convey to them my gate code and I am disabled and invariably I have to walk downstairs and let them in and this time, today, they called me and stated that they were at the gate so I don't want to pass my gate code out to every different house cleaner that comes so I offered to come downstairs and I waited at the gate for 10 minutes and they never showed up. I also went to each floor of which there are three went up and down the car door and opened doors and didn't find them so unfortunately I have to cancel their service and future services. So no I don't recommend them. I apologize to anyone who read my first review. read more

We just had our first cleaning done by a crew of two. I had very high hopes after reading all the reviews but unfortunately it fell short. This is going to be part 1 of 2 reviews I plan to do. They were about 20 minutes late but got right to work. I had to leave with my daughters but my husband stayed behind working. I reminded the workers of a few things (dusting of high frames, molding... And even offered a step stool). When I returned home they were gone and many things were neglected (Dusting, cleaning in the corners of our restroom, shelves in the refrigerator, vacuuming under the couch cushions...) and I was very annoyed, given they charged us $150 for our 1300 square foot home. I immediately contacted Marci and we agreed on me giving them another chance in 2 weeks and her giving a $25 discount off that service. So I'll update this review them, hopefully with lots of good things to report!!! I plan on being VERY specific as to what my expectations are before that visit. :) Part 2: We had our second cleaning and the 2 cleaners were very very careful to not miss any of the areas that were neglected last time! We used Lux to clean our condo after our tenants moved out. Marcella was very easy to work with and explained the services well. Unfortunately the two cleaners that were sent to clean did not do a very good job. Pantries, floors, blinds, and closets were still very dirty - some places not even touched. It was very disappointing. I talked with Marcella and she sent the cleaners back the next day to fix the problems. They spent an hour and a half there and needed to leave for their next job. The work was still disappointing. We won't be using their services again. Updated - Marcella has been in touch since my first review was posted. She was willing to send the cleaners back out to clean again. We were not interested in scheduling another time but I did update this review to two stars to reflect the effort Marcella did make. At first I hesitated about hiring a service rather than an individual since many services are less than detail-oriented; nevertheless, I hired Lux upon reading the rave reviews. Wow! Am I glad I did! Claudia and Roman transformed my place in two short hours, paying attention to areas that I know had never been cleaned. When I moved in several months ago, the place felt kinda grungy, as if the housecleaners had done the bear minimin, which kept me from feeling at home. Now, though, I feel good about the place, knowing that the previous tenant's grime is gone. The follow-up was nice, too. They were able to clean a brown stain in my bathtub that both me and the landlord had scrubbed many times trying to get up! Lux cleaning was a savior for our home. I have been sick for three days straight with a horrible stomach flu. My fiancé has been out of town for work and I was desperate to have someone come in and clean, as we are getting married NEXT week out of state.
