Tteokbokki
Karen K.

Came here with my friend for dinner and it definitely hit the spot for what we were craving! We ordered the LuvDduk tteokbokki and bulgogi fries, and both portions were HUGE. For 2 people, we definitely had leftovers, but I think these two dishes would be a good amount to share between 3-4 people. If you're coming with more than 2 people, I'd recommend adding some extra toppings to the tteokbokki so everyone has more to share. The tteokbokki comes with toppings already added, including cheese, sausage, and corndogs. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the cheese on it, but overall everything was good and there was plenty to share. My favorite was definitely the bulgogi fries! I loved dipping the fries into the tteokbokki sauce. Service was pretty standard, but just a heads up that they play the music pretty loud. If you're planning to really catch up and have a conversation with a friend, this might not be the best spot because we were basically yelling to hear each other. Overall, we enjoyed the food and left with leftovers after only ordering two items. Definitely come hungry!

Cool spot for korean fried chicken. I can see that this place is lively and funky, but I expected it to be more like a bar with food, then a food spot with drinks, if you know what I mean. The food was good, but I don't think it's something I would necessarily crave often. The chicken was great, perfectly crispy and great seasoning. The combo we got was definitely enough for the both of us. I would've liked more cheese in the noodles dish. I can do without the steamed egg, personally. Service was fine, nothing special. Overall, good but likely will not come back.

It's a lively place with neon lights. Good for a younger crowd but I did see families with younger kids. The girl had been wanting to try this place. A lot of cheesy items and there are no substitutions. This establishment has a 2 hour time limit. We ordered combo C which states it's GIANT for 49.99. Yrs it was a lot of food especially the chicken katsu. I dislike this dish but I did try it and it was full of flavor and crispy. The girl liked it I will most likely not return but my favorite restaurant is right next door so I will gladly bring the girl back here. If you like cheese, fried foods, and alcohol come here.

Luv Duk is a great spot if you're looking for late-night Korean food with generous portions at reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was flavorful, but my favorites were the giant katsu and the tteokbokki. The portions are huge, making it perfect for sharing with a group. The atmosphere is fun and casual, making it a great place to hang out with friends. They also have an amazing happy hour with BOGO beer and soju during select days and times, which is a great bonus. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu and would recommend it if you're in the Cerritos area!

Bulgogi Cheese Fries

The portions were good and the food was tasty. I did think it was a little on the pricier side for me. The food took awhile to come out but I didn't mind since we weren't in a rush. Service could have been a little more attentive, though. Both times I visited, I had to get the staff's attention when we needed water or wanted the bill. There also weren't enough utensils/napkins in the holder at the table either times for my party of 4.

When in good company, pochas are the go-to late night food spots. LuvDduk in Cerritos always has me covered with their massive portions featuring all the classic Korean comfort foods and happy hour deals. We always get their tteokbokki which comes in a super-sized bowl, and you can customize toppings and add ramen, sausage, fried seaweed rolls, and so much more. In addition, we tried their garlic chicken wings, bulgogi hot stone, and bulgogi cheese fries. Everything is so affordable considering the portion size, making this perfect for groups + families! Will need to come back next time for more of their combo menus

Army Stew

And we're back! My boyfriend had been craving their Army Stew, so we finally came back to try it. It was packed with flavor and truly felt like a complete meal on its own. The portion size was generous--we even had leftovers to take home. I'd say it's perfect for a group of 3-4 people, especially if you're ordering additional dishes. We also ordered the Garlic Fried Chicken because I had to let him try it, and it did not disappoint. Another satisfying visit, and we'll definitely be back again.

Giant chicken katsu
Genise S.

Ordered giant chicken katsu and corn cheese. It was so good. Chicken katsu is crispy on the outside with tender meat inside. Such a comforting spot with generous portions. We got our order pretty quickly. Great place for a group to come and share food.

bulgogi cheese fries

This is one of my boyfriend's favorite spots. We usually get the bulgogi cheese fries and another dish, today we got the sweet and spicy chicken wings. I would say the service is always consistent. We went on a Sunday around noon and it wasn't packed yet, I know later on it might get busier. Ambiance is always pretty chill in there. Giving 4 stars only because the restroom was a bit unkept and could've used a cleaning.

We are here for this giant katsu!!!! Well yeah... it's bigger than my face and probably double the size of my hand!! Still perfectly crispy on the outside and super juicy inside ‍ Also ordered the corn cheese And yup... it was HUGE too! But... more cheese!!! The bulgogi cheese fries though Their food is the ultimate combo to pair with beer We also didn't forget the signature tteokbokki ‍ Plus, they have buy 1 get 1 beer or soju during happy hour Ig: socalhkfoodies

Tteokbokki Combo A
Vi D.

This place is as good as I remember it. We got the Combo A with spice level 2, which is halfway between buldak 1 and x2. The portion size is huge, so don't go ordering more food if there are only two of you. The music was blaring and they played my favorite songs, but it was between lunch and dinner so it was unnecessarily loud with just the two of us in the restaurant. Check this place out when you get the chance. I bet it gets really packed at night!

Vivian L.

My friend and I came here and ordered the Set #2. The portions were huge, so we ended up having plenty of leftovers, which made it feel like a great value for the price. The spice level was just right--not overwhelming, but still flavorful and satisfying. Everything paired well together, and we really enjoyed the meal. The service was friendly, and our food came out in a timely manner. Overall, we had a great experience, and I would definitely come back the next time I'm craving tteokbokki.

Okay service is great. It's the first time I've been to a restaurant where I don't need to ask for refills of water because the lady kept replacing our carafe! Thank you for that! It "looks like a typical burger joint inside with Booths. There's a side door for to go orders. Food service was quick and the portions are big. For their price, I would hope so. We ordered the following: Bulgolgi Fries Garlic Steak Noodle Egg Cheese corn Ranking in best to so-so, I'd have to say is the steamed egg. Yes, I was surprised too. I thought the Bulgolgi fries would be number one. Sadly it's not. If you mess up steamed egg, ima gonna say no to the rest of your menu. I would order two next time and just stick to that. The cheese corn was okay, but compared to PaDak and other local Korean spot I say skip this. The cheese tasted weird to me and I did t like that it was also a kraft American cheese. As a cheese lover, I only expect that square cheese to be on a burger or cheese melt. The Bulgolgi Fries could serve 3 people. But it was drenched with sauce, and spicy sauce. Not enough Bulgolgi to pay $20. The cut of fries were this nd tasted like sweet potato. It just didn't fit my taste buds. The Garlic noodle okay. That's Al I have to say about that. I'm glad I finally tried this place, but I don't know if I would come back for anything on their menu. I would rather go next door or across the street.

Would someone with a severe seafood and shellfish allergy be able to eat here safely (can't be cooked in the same oil as fish, not shared equipment, NO fish sauce or oyster sauce)?

I highly recommend that you cook your food for safety.

Are all your food are spicy?

All foods will have a spicy level option from mild to hot! Thankfully, mild isn't too bad but you can still request for no spicy!

Is outdoor dining available and what is the maximum capacity?

I saw a patio on the side when I went last month, fairly small, maybe 8 people max

When is their happy hour?

Monday-Friday 4-7pm

Do they offer gift cards?

Not that am aware of

Are the rice cakes here made from rice or wheat flour? I know that sounds strange, but a lot of Dduk is made from wheat flour not rice flour, and yet Dduk is often still just translated as "Rice cake."

It is made with wheat flour. The word dduk as rice cake is a rough translation. There are different types of dduk made with different types of ingredients, not just rice. So dduk is translated to rice cake but it does not mean that dduk has to be…

Are they open on Wednesday?

Yes they're open on Wednesdays.

Does anyone know how much serving is in one order of yupduck?

4 to 5 people

Hello i have question, how much to order your Fresh large Intestine?

Sorry my large intestine is not for sale. :) btw check their menu for prices.

Is there an option for no spice?

Yes, their Honey spice level has no spice.

Hiya! So I am not a spicy type ramen person do they have a mild spice? Or a light spice that is not over powering? Also what is in the ramen? I am not big on fish cakes but I do like rice cakes too! And veggies!!

Yes, my mom and I ordered the mild level and it's just perfect for us who don't eat too spicy

When is happy hour and what are the specials?

Yes lots of happy hour specials

What's the difference between the yup dduk and yup oh?

Yup Dduk has more rice cake and Yup Oh has more fish cake!

Does the set A come with sausages and cheese or do you have to add it?

Some cheese and sausages come in the normal yuppduk ddukbokki but not alot!

Did you close business ? We called for two days but no one picked up phone!

Still open!

I am almost always dying for a veggie item which is not some they specialize in here. I would definitely recommend bringing something vegetal yourself if you eat onsite. Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Twice!…read more I don't usually write negative reviews, but after having two terrible experiences at Dave's Hot Chicken on South Street in Cerritos, I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, both visits were equally disappointing, and I will not be returning. First, the restaurant appeared dirty and disorganized, with loud music that made the atmosphere unpleasant. The customer service was extremely poor. The young employees appeared inadequately trained and seemed to lack even the most basic understanding of customer service, communication, and order accuracy. On both visits, my order was handled incorrectly. I specifically ordered my food for dine-in, yet it was packaged to go. On my most recent visit just two days ago, I had to repeat my order more than ten times before the employee finally seemed to understand what I was asking for. This is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating for a paying customer. To make matters worse, on both occasions, my chicken was served cold. When you visit a restaurant, you expect your order to be taken correctly and your food to be served fresh and hot. Unfortunately, neither expectation was met. I also saw employees repeatedly going in and out through a door while appearing confused and disorganized. The entire operation seemed chaotic, and I honestly questioned whether there was a manager, supervisor, or shift leader overseeing the staff. Proper training, supervision, professionalism, and accountability appeared to be seriously lacking. This is not simply a complaint about one bad meal. This is a pattern of poor service and repeated failures across two separate visits. I hope the management team reads this review and takes these concerns seriously. Employees need proper training, customers deserve to be listened to, orders must be prepared correctly, and food should be served at the appropriate temperature. A restaurant's reputation depends on more than its name or menu; it depends on the quality of its food, cleanliness, and the way it treats its customers. As for me, I have given this location two chances, and both were disappointing. They have lost my business and, unfortunately, my confidence in their ability to provide a satisfactory dining experience. Management needs to take a serious look at what is happening at this location. Customers deserve much better.

There is plenty of parking available. They do not take reservations, but they do have a Yelp waitlist you can join ahead of time. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Tuesday evening, and the Yelp waitlist had no wait. The restaurant was about half full, and after about five minutes, somebody finally seated us. After ten minutes of servers walking by and ignoring us, we finally flagged one down and got things started. Their menu has three tiers of AYCE including (16 items for $25.99, 29 items for $33.99, and 34 items for $54.99). We all went with the highest tier. Each place setting has a tin of three difference sauces, and we were also served banchan. I've never seen their type of ventilation system before. Each table has a thin periscope type exhaust fan that you can move up and down over the grill. We had people on both sides of our booth, so we found it kind of intrusive, and made it hard for one person to cook items and share them around the table without having to constantly move the fan up and down. Their grill surface is also solid with only a single drain hole in the middle. Our drain hole kept getting plugged, so the meat just kept cooking in fat until it would finally burn off. This kept happening no matter how often we had a grill change. We had various meats and some seafood items which were all good. Service was a little on the slow side. Servers kept walking by and must have seen we were out of items, but just kept walking by. Things got better when we got more assertive and flagged them down when we needed something instead of waiting to be checked on. The food was good, but was probably more fatty than usual since our drain rarely worked very well. Their highest tier AYCU is a little more expensive than other KBBQ places we have visited lately. If you don't mind being assertive, I guess service would be ok. During our visit, service definitely could have been more attentive. We like trying new places, but we will probably try somewhere else next time, or return to one of our regular KBBQ spots. Final rating: 3.5 stars rounded down to 3.0.
