I ordered 2 breast meal, broccoli and beans. It was very good. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have black beans, only pinto beans. I went through the drive though. It was clean and the service was nice. read more

It was crazy busy today considering the in app offer. I'm assuming she was the manager handled the crowd very well. She wasn't rude. She had so much patience and she did not show any stress. I saw other employees jump in and help in other areas. There was efficiency and courtesy. The whole team was well led. That's so rare . You never see that kind of consistency anywhere. Maybe today was a good day. But it was a nice visit. Definitely impressed. read more

El Pollo Loco - April 2026 - Mexican Near Me - Artesia, California

Probably the worst location, I would avoid it if you can. People were waiting in a really long drive-through line for 20 minutes only to be told at the very last minute that their debit machine was down and can only accept cash. Unprofessional, lazy and inconsiderate. We should have been told before waiting in line for so long! read more

I just had the worst chicken breast I've had in my entire life from here. They deserve an award for it. They also can't follow simple requests in the drive through. I asked for 3 red salsa, they give me 2 green 1 red. The chicken queso burrito was good tho. But $16 for a burrito and a chicken breast I spit out and threw away... common Find decent managers to run your units and maybe your customers would be happy and you would have better market share. read more

Let me tell y'all something. This place was amazing, I don't know why but out of all pollo locos this tasted the best. Also who the made the red sauce? Who's your source? Because Jesus Christ it was the best goddamn heartburn ever. I always ask for serrano peppers to get a little kick with my meal but this red sauce was intense. Tummy rumbling and what not y'all deserve all the stars and rating. Service was great too quick and easy thank you pollo loco. read more

Right off the top I'll start with the good. The few times I've been here everything I've eaten here has been very good. That's why it's disappointing I'm rating so low. Whoever is grilling that chicken and making the mac n cheese shout out to them. You're appicated. Now the bad 2 out of the 3 times I've been there, my order has been wrong or incomplete. The first time they gave two sides I didn't order or the sides I did order, withheld my creamy cilantro, and gave me the wrong drink. Tonight Dec. 24 2024 miss I didn't catch your name but you're someone that would make me go to a different location if I knew you were on shift. Different chicken than what I ordered. No salsa, nothing. I even asked for the dark red one, and you didn't give me my drink. Luckily I have some yucateco at the pad. With that inability to pay attention to detail like an order on slow night is unnecessary. Next time I'll really be checking my order. Management, step up your game. Get people that actually do their jobs and give a. read more

Restaurant isn't doing walk in/dine in so had to go through a long line through drive thru. Whoever took our order was very rude. Trying to rush us and say see you at the window when we were not even done ordering. I ordered a tostada salad and there was no tomato salsa (like two tiny squares of tomato in my photo) or sour cream in it. Skip this el pollo loco if you're looking to eat some chicken. read more

I usually hesitate going to el pollo because most of the time I get the dried up chicken that's been sitting for a while. If you all are in the same lane I'm in then you are in Luck with this particular branch. The staff if cordial the service is polite but most of all the chicken is juicy, fresh and hot. This will be the go to el pollo in the area. read more

Recently was working in the area, and I went through the drive-through of this El Pollo Loco location.Erica took my order and when I pulled up to the pick up window, she saw that I had my dog with me. One of the female managers is beyond racist, every time she see's me she leaves my pick up order in the front of the cash register & assist every hispanic customer. The male workers do not act like that, They do their job regardless of the ethnicity. read more

The food is decent and the drive through is fast enough. You do need to check your salsa in the drive through. They pre package them and ignore any requests you make in the order. I always come here in this location but yesterday was the worst experienced I had. The woman in the cashier took my order and when I asked her how much are the extra pieces of chicken (breast, wings, etc.), and I said never mind just take my original order, then (sad face came in). She left me in front of the cashier, went on to prepare foods without saying anything (I thought it was my order but it's somebody else), left me waiting to pay for my order. The other woman came in and finished my order (isn't it obvious that this lady just sad, fyi: that's the first time I saw her in this restaurant). read more

So this is a new location for me and when I went first time, I was happy with the service. So I decided to go second time few months later, still service was great but then there was lack of order taking because when I came home and that's when I realized so much was missing. So I called El Pollo Loco at the location I went to and spoke with manager Erica and explained my situation and at first it didn't go well, but then few minutes later Erica reconsidered and took care of the entire order. This was above and beyond my expectations and Erica was very professional and courteous in handling this matter and I am thankful for it. read more

I just want to express how happy I am to have been helped by Jose this afternoon 5/9 with my online order. He was extremely polite and patient over the phone that I had to write this review and commend him. Thank you Jose for making my life easier by ordering the dinner my family wants so much easier!! They really crave the house salsa and JUICY chicken. We will all be excited to eat tonight thanks to you!! Update: After receiving my order, I was charged $12 for tip and delivery although it was advertised online that delivery was free. They also left out my son's order of churros. I spoke to Rosa the manager and since they could not offer any refunds the promised an order of churros and free large side for the next time I order. read more

It's a decent Pollo Loco, the manager who is a guy working there is a nice guy, this review just goes out specifically to a girl named Karla, I usually have lots of patience when it comes to rude customer service and I'm not one to even write negative reviews due to the fact that I used to work fast food/restaurant jobs and I know how rude and entitled people can be but when I went in on 11/24/24 at around 3:00PM to order, as I'm getting my order placed by Karla, I immediately get cut off half ways without me finishing my order and I get a snarky attitude from her telling me "That's not what I asked, I asked if you wanted to make it a combo" ummm, I wasn't even done telling you what I wanted removed from my bowl? And you're jumping and asking me wether I wanted to make it a combo already? I understand if you're behind or you are multitasking, or even just having a bad day in general but to lash out at me like that was uncalled for, I immediately told her yes I would like to make it a combo, and tried to stay nice, but I went ahead and told her I wasn't finished ordering and she starts making sarcastic faces and immediately turns even more hostile, I told her I wanted no Onions and no Pico on my bowl, she didn't even get the first part of my order from the beginning because she was too pushy about asking me to make it into a combo or not. I asked her if she was the manager and she tells me no, but that guy over there is. I asked her for her name because I really wasn't too sure wether or not to be a Karen about this or just let it go, she gives me my receipt as she is getting a phone call and just throws it at me like I was doing her a favor and just walks away. So she calls the manager for me in which case I wasn't too sure if I even wanted to tell him anything else because i didn't wanna continue dragging this on anymore, but I just decided to tell him what exactly happened and he told me he would talk to her, I know he wasn't going to talk to her but regardless I guess I wanted to let him know. I can understand her frustration towards customers especially working as a cashier once at pollo loco and worked my way up to a manager as well. I would never lash out at people who have no fault though like the way she did. I really hope she finds comfort and pray whatever problems she has with the world get resolved. Pollo Loco please do a better job at selecting people with actual proper customer service and not just people with no skills off the street. It tarnishes and puts a bad reflection on that location and the name of the company in general. read more

El pollo loco is usually always good. They have a good variety on their menus, and their food always hits. This was my first time trying out this location since it was close by. I found a piece of hair stuck in my Mac and cheese half way thru, I wanted to puke. Not sure what hair but it was like a baby hair or facial hair or a guys hair or something, it was short as you can see on attached pic. Maybe masks and hair nets should be pushed when working in the food industry. Nobody wants to pay $20 for a meal and see employees hair on it halfway, thinking we could've ate one or some by accident. read more

I wish I could put a negative because the service was Horrible today. My lunch buddy and I come here at least 3 times a week and always get a very nice young man. Today we had Jocelyn needs customer service training!!!!!! She finished with one person and walked away. I realized she had to fix the food and I get it - multi tasking but didn't say a word like I'll be right with you or hello let me fix this plate and I'll be right back. Something!! Then there was a manager of some sort working on the register she didn't say anything either!!! What's up?!! She had black hair with red streaks. I said Hello!! then the both said be right you was waiting about 5 or 6mins. Jocelyn came back to register just looking at us, not saying thank u for waiting how can I help? Took the order and just no customer service classes are needed... read more

So I place my order through the app for curbside pick up and receive a email confirmation for my order.. when I went to pick up my order was told that it wasn't place.. I spoke with Britney "manager " and showed her my receipt. Still she refuse to help. She was very rude and unprofessional. To top it off she did not wear a mask the entire time. So I left without my order or a refund.. they basically stole from me.. I just want my refund back and never come back ever!!! Side note: I wonder why there's no action taken after all the complaints I read in the reviews, some serious actions need to be taken, paying costumer should not endure so much disrespect from the manager.. Why is Britney still a manager?? read more

So I went in there on my break, I've been wanting a salad for a while but the service is horrible. I'm a general manager to a different chain i understand that most places are transitioning to kiosk but let me tell you the customers that are there and are directing a question to a team member should be acknowledged!!! I saw an elderly couple walk out because a simple question was completely disregarded by the two people not wearing a hat possible management because the rest of the team was in full uniform. Which is totally concerning their lack of customer service, these are elderly consumers needing assistance. The team there completely disregarded another elderly customer and I stepped in to assist and ITS NOT MY JOB!! I still took the time to answer a question and guide her through the kiosk. I received my order asked for 4 bags of serranos the lady without a hat gave me one when I asked for the remaining 3 she rolled her eyes and still brought back the wrong amount. I will definitely not be going to this location again. Lobby could've been cleaner and a smile goes a long way read more
