Today was our first time eating at this place. We got the chicken strips, loaded fries, chicken sandwich, lemon pepper wings, and mango habanero wings. Everything was flavorful and pretty good. The service was great. The entire menu was explained to us in detail. If you want to eat at this location, you will have to eat outside. They have tables and chairs in the parking lot. Enjoyed Cravings Hot Chicken thoroughly. Staff at the register were cordial and helpful. Ordered Hot loaded chicken fries and a dbl smash cheese burger. The fries were loaded with pickles slaw chicken and tots. Not a disappointment at all and portion size was well enough to not be able to finish. The smash burger (ai ordered Hot on the spice level) was also fresh and delicious. The place was clean inside as well as the eating area out front with a nice sized crowd already there. Came in yesterday afternoon HUNGRY for a chicken sandwich. (I literally live walking distance from this location.) I seen an employee out front talking to another individual in the parking lot. I waited for a few minutes looking at the menu. And I noticed that the individual that's working here hasn't told me ANYTHING like "hey give me a few minutes I'll be right with you." Any type of acknowledgment would have been cool I'm super understanding but being completely ignored without a worry in the world is diabolical playboy. I saw this place on Yelp as I was in the area and it caught my attention because it looked fairly new. Plus, I love the hot chicken joints and seeing what they have to offer so I thought "why not give it a try?". I dropped by and ordered a the two tenders with a side of tater tots. The man at the register was helpful in choosing what to order and he gave me some pointers which is much appreciated. After ordering, It only took about 10-15 minutes for my order to come out. Not a bad wait time. Their inside waiting area is also pretty cool, though they didn't have any chairs or tables to wait at or eat at. Actually, they did but they did not seem to be available for use, probably because of the rain. It is connected to their ice cream shop next door that has a lot of cool stuff like snacks and drinks from other countries. It's definitely worth checking out and I will be back to try some of their items in the future. The food I ordered, however, was quite disappointing to say the least. I really wanted to like this place, especially since I saw so many reviews speaking highly of it. The tenders I got were so small. Like, smaller than usual, it felt like. I feel like at any other place, I could have gotten bigger and thicker ones and for possibly cheaper. Then I got tater tots instead of fries because not a lot of places offer that kind of substitution. They were also decent but not that great either, they seemed to not even really be seasoned that well. All of that for close to 17$ :/ . I would say that what I got is definitely not worth what I paid for. The tenders were much crispier than other places while not being overly bready like a lot of chicken places do. Over the past couple times I've been here, I feel like the taste of the food hasn't been up to par recently. When I went, I ordered the chicken sandwich with tator tots and bacon because that's been my favorite item on the menu. However the taste did not correlate. For the tenders, they looked well-seasoned, but it was difficult to taste the flavor. I actually had to go out of my way and try to taste the flavor. I should not have to do that at all; the flavor should just instantly have an impact. The fries weren't too different either: looked well-seasoned but the flavor wasn't impactful. I'm less concerned about the fries because I'm not too much of a crinkle cut person to begin with. However the tenders were just disappointing. I'm not sure what happened with Cravings. This place used to be consistently amazing, but recently their food hasn't been tasting as good as it was before. The Texas toast was nothing special. Tasted like Chef's Quality Liquid Butter splattered on toast. Considering the fact I had plenty to drink before this meal, the tenders had a light crisp, tender, juicy, and well seasoned, but not too hot for my liking. Pickles had a nice crunch and were tangy with a slight sweetness. The fries were crispy on the outside, and seasoned well. Coleslaw had a nice crisp to it. I went in and was taking my order with the owner , He was explaining to me. his menu when he mentioned a new idea for a chilaquiles Burger it immediately caught my attention and I ordered two as i was getting excited discussing the ingredients for his new creation I asked the owner ''just make it for me like he would serve it'' and he did exactly that I rushed home once I got the food. I told my wife and that we were going to be one of the first people to try a new menu item and we both loved it. It was delicious. we were surprised on how good it was. You could really taste the authenticity of the Chilaquiles mixed into a burger that combined to a beautiful mix of taste not including the queso fresco and sauce. It was really delicious. 100%.
