First nail salon in Dayton that I loved ! Everyone was so nice and they had a beautiful salon with sterile instruments ! WORST Nail Salon ever!!! Had a full service mani/pedi with gel polish with Loann. She put 7 coats of polish and gel on - gel top coat was left on the cuticles and skin - so, in 4 days, the polish was toooo thick so all the nails peeled. I called within the 10 day guarantee - Kelly, the assistant manager, told me to come in and they would completely re-do for free. Drove 20 minutes to get there and she says they changed their minds - I would have to pay for the mani/pedi - another $50 or so dollars - only the "gel" would be free. What about my DESTROYED NAILS and CUTICLE SKIN?? Needless to say, I walked out - never, ever to return. AVOID!!! read more

Went here today for the first time. AWFUL experience! A grouchy older lady " Noann" was so rude to me I couldn't believe it. After telling me I should get Gel countless times, and my responding, not this time.....could have set her off, not really sure. She seemed to lack basic customer service skills and patience from the start. I showed her the shape that I wanted for my nails before filing. When I kindly asked her if she could round the corners just a little, after just showing her the shape I wanted, which was totally opposite from my request, she let out a huge SIGH! I was perplexed but let it go. She proceeded to use the nippers. Apparently my finger was a little tense and she literally loudly SCOLDED me saying she needs to be in control so she doesn't cut me! WTH! I didn't even know what she was talking about. I simply let her know that my fingers are slightly arthritic..so they are kind of stiff. She proceeded to say I looked scared. At that point I was confused and quite pissed that I was paying for this woman to treat me like crap! She jumped up and walked away going to the front receptionist to say something. I asked for another person to finish. Thankfully, since I was halfway through the most absurd experience I have ever had, a very nice young girl finished. Her tone and body language was rude and off-putting. She proceeded to speak Vietnamese to others in the salon before the other gal took over. Say No to Noann!!! She should be fired, gives that salon a bad name. I will never return here, and will steer others away. If it wasn't for Jenny- I would have walkout out in the middle of my manicure. I was a professional manicurist years ago, and if I treated my patrons like that I would have no business. LUSH needs to make a change, a potential "standing" client you just lost, probably Gel next time.$$$ not at LUSH! read more

The nail polish colors and brands carried here at Lush are the best! I was impressed right away. I didn't catch my nail technician's name, and after a long day I just wanted to relax. She put three coats on which no one ever does; and she put my hands in a dryer in between coats and this is the most insanely greatest manicure I have ever had! I work with my hands doing hair and makeup and I'm on day four and this manicure is holding perfect! I highly recommend this nail spa, right next to Dorothy Lane Market. read more

I have never seen my daughter and wife so upset. They just returned home from having their nails manicured at Lush. My daughter is getting married in a few days. She was treated horribly and the nails were botched. They went somewhere else and had them re-done. My recommendation, is avoid Lush completely and do not waste your money. I am the father of the bride and they truly upset my little girl. Shame on you !! read more

Lately, Lush is slipping. It's often a little chaotic. Sometimes there is a dedicated receptionist to greet customers, accept payments, and answer the phone; but in my experience the manicurists frequently interrupt service to take on these responsibilities. As a customer I find this distracting and it's poor customer service. A client should feel as though they are the priority even when business needs are pressing. Also, in my opinion, the cleanliness isn't as on point as when the salon first opened. This is disappointing because the facility itself is lovely and has tremendous potential. Walk-ins are accepted and the salon will do its best to fit you in even when they are busy. Prices are competitive. From this customer's point of view, I'd like to see some leadership from the owner dedicated to a mission statement of cleanliness and customer service priorities to keep customers like me coming back. read more

I went to LUSH because I saw that they had great reviews. I don't know what those reviewers experienced that was so great because I definitely did not get that experience. Not only did the receptionist sit on her phone and refuse to look up to offer me any sort of help but when I was FINALLY offered a drink (almost at the end of my service) the glass had lipstick stains on it and I could tell it had not been washed. Another fellow client next to me noticed the same with her glass as well. The thing that was used during my pedicure to hold my foot up had old dried skin from a previous service and the implements used on me were not opened in front of me like they were supposed to and were just sitting in the techs cart probably used and unwashed. My cuticles were cut on two different toes and the nail tech was on such a rush my pedicure was only about 15 minutes long including the toe polish. If I am going to be charged $34 for a BASIC pedicure I expect to get my money's worth. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would recommend that the state board come in and show them how to properly keep a nail salon clean read more

This is the best salon that I have ever been to. The atmosphere is relaxing, the salon is clean, the tools are sterile, and the people are very friendly and appreciate my business. I had really high hopes for this nail salon because of all of the great reviews. Unfortunately my experience wasn't all that great. While I didn't have to wait long, my nail tech definitely rushed through my nails (just a regular polish manicure) and it shows. It's been three days and every single nail is significantly chipping to the point that I just need to remove it because it looks tacky. First, she used a top coat as the base coat and didn't start over even though she messed up. Second, she sent me to the dryer without adding the top coat. Third, when she came back to me at the dryer she added the top coat but smudged one of my nails. While she added new polish to fix the smudge, she never came back to add the top coat - she just moved onto a new customer. Giving them the benefit of the doubt: it was very busy. But I don't feel like being busy is ever an excuse to rush someone's manicure. The price was great and it's very nice inside (plus complimentary drinks you can ask for!), hence the three stars. read more

A friend and I were looking for a walk-in nail spa on a Sunday and found very few open. We stopped in one nail place and the staff was a bit snooty and wouldn't do a pedicure without an appointment even though they had a sign that said walk-ins welcome. We drove down to Springboro and found Lush Nail Spa and I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. By the time we got there it was 4:30 and they normally close at 5:00. I asked if there was time for a pedi and the nail tech seemed unsure but was friendly. The gentleman came up and said sure you can have a pedi if you don't mind waiting. I was concerned that it would keep them after normal hours but he insisted. After about a half hour (closing time) they took us to our chairs and were very professional and friendly even though they should be closing up shop. The technicians provided an excellent manicure and carried on a great conversation as well. We were offered a complementary beverage and they had quite a list including several wines to choose from and the Pinot Noir was delicious! The relaxation music was so soothing and the place was immaculate. I have never felt so at home and comfortable in a nail spa. This is my place from now on. Oh, and I tipped the technician quite heavily for staying beyond the normal closing time. Thank you, Toni!! You were awesome! read more
