After years of not getting my nails done I went with a neighbor who goes here. From the moment I walked in I knew I loved it before even getting my nails done. Do not recommend. They are Very rude, customer service terrible . Bad quality service . My nails are crooked and paint is already chipping .

1. If you are r going to sit someone in a chair, don't make them wait 45 minutes. 2. When you do decide to apologize for the wait, do not put just a tiny bit of water in the Basin to soak their feet. Water gets cold. 3. When you ask the client if they want water, do not forget to give it to them. The clients see you on your phone, basically telling us we are not important. 4. You provide certain people better service over others. 5. When a customer tells you, you are massaging too much in the same area and causing the area to feel raw and pain, stop and move to another area. 6. Please use sterile or clean/disinfected clippers. 7. 3 hrs for a basic manicure and pedicure is too long. 8. Remember that people have iPhones and google translate is a thing. read more

Great experience from start to finish. I was able to book my appointment online easily. I left notes about what I wanted and they actually read them. Facility was clean and very pretty. My first impression was that the staff wasn't very friendly but I was one of the first appointments of the day so as it progressed I could hear more chatter. I started with a deluxe pedicure and the lady didn't talk at all which was fine because I was relaxing. I don't think she was being rude I just don't think she spoke much English. She did a fantastic job on my feet and legs with my manicure and massage. Next I went to the nail station for acrylics and a French manicure. It's been about 20 years since I've done any of this stuff and wow it went way faster than I remembered. Hang did my nails and she did a fantastic job, making sure to check them and have me check them along the way. I noticed there is a bar but when I sent it was 0945 sooooo lol. I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to add one here so future customers are aware and should just go somewhere else. I paid a ridiculous price for bare minimum services. I had a fill, "basic pedicure" (they didn't have to polish my toes), my daughter had her fingernails painted (nothing else), and a 10 minute hand massage. I paid $135 which in my opinion is insane. I have paid way less at other places and had full services there. I was left feeling unsettled so I checked their website and then called the salon. The prices listed online do not match what they actually charge. The prices listed online are a few dollars less than the "starting price" the salon actually charges. The lady on the phone explained that the fill has a starting price depending on what I had. I had two nails replaced and acrylic added to the others. My daughter had her nails only painted (nothing else that is included in the princess manicure) My issue is not that I mind paying for quality services and I know that this is a luxury not a necessity. My issue is that the service didn't match the cost. They charged me top of the range for bare minimum services. Their prices are purely based on their location. I will go somewhere else next time. read more

7/13/24-we went into the Springboro location for a scheduled appointment and it was the worst experience and service ever!!! We were there until 11:40 am and arrived at 10:00 am for basic pedicures only. If you don't have enough staff, you should not take reservations. We based our day on this appointment, which put our whole day behind, but I could have gotten past that, however, the rest of the experience ruined the entire trip to Luminous in Springboro! The nail tech pointed at my phone to the other nail tech and they both started laughing at a some french manicure for toes (I should have walked out then). The French tips are uneven, my nails aren't filed even or straight. My daughter gave them her written down OPI color of regular nail polish and received Gel, so here's $15 more dollars I wasn't planning on spending. I paid and tipped both techs despite this rude service (another lesson learned today). I called and asked to speak to the manager and the girl said what do you need to talk to him for, he's busy doing something do you want to call back at 2:00? Seriously? I stayed on hold for 7 minutes and finally hung up. I called back at 2:45, explaining all of this to the manager, who apologized they were behind and that we had two people who can barely speak English so there must have been some misunderstanding. He said your French doesn't look good? No, it's awful! He wants me to come back in and he'll fix it. . . No thank you, this was supposed to be fun, relaxing and make us feel better! We were there twice as long as we should have been for a scheduled appointment, the techs were rude, my nails look terrible and I did not leave happy. I asked for my money back l, or at least half of it, based on the overall experience and nail techs laughing at me. He stated they don't refund money. I walked in for a mani/pedi (I was in from out of town for a wedding) and the pedicure was OK - nothing special, but that's fine as I only got a basic pedicure. However, a different lady did my manicure. She destroyed my cuticles (I have never seen them so dry and crusty), painted gel all over my fingers (I had to pick it off myself), and did not cure the layers long enough (45 seconds is not long enough!!!). I feel that I paid way too much for the quality I received. I'm sure there are god nail techs here but I do not recommend walking in as you may get a bad technician. The location is nice and it is a huge salon, but I've been to less "fancy" places that do a significantly better job. And for $85 in Ohio I was left unsatisfied. read more

Came with my mom for two deluxe pedicures. While they were trimming up cuticles my mom's pedicurist jabbed her clippers into the side of her toe so badly it was bleeding everywhere. Not once did she receive an apology, and both my and her pedicurist looked at us like we'd done something wrong. She wasn't moving at all. The pedicure after that was fine, but we sat there for maybe two minutes while our toes dried, when my tech came over with the bill and insisted we pay right then and there, instead of letting us walk up to the front as usual once our toes dried. We tipped them, much more generously than we should have, $15 a person on a $40 pedicure, and again she looked at us like "that's it?" We sat there for maybe 5 minutes waiting for our toes to dry and finishing our Chardonnay, when a woman rudely asked us to move to the front waiting chairs to accommodate other guests, when there were at least 8 other chairs available. She also took my cup which still had wine in it that I would have finished sitting in the waiting area, but she walked off with it! We both had just the one glass of wine while there and I hadn't even finished that one. Never felt so rushed and judged when we went first thing in the morning to a nice mom and daughter day. While we have both had decent experiences here in the past, will not be back. From all the shuffling and rushing around to top things off my pedicure was messed up, but I was certainly not going to go back and have them fix it. read more

First visit for a pedi site for my daughter and myself. The tech finished me in about an hour. My daughter sat there for 90+ minutes. The person may have been new and they had a second person takeover at the 75 minute mark. Overall service was good, but either under staffed, under trained or both. read more

I had a manicure with dip appointment scheduled for 1:30, I was sat at 1:20, but then no one helped me for 30 minutes and I left. Everyone else around who came after me got helped. This isn't the first time this has happened. I came for an appointment with my sister and my mom. So disappointing. I have been going here for years. The nail techs are awesome but the management is horrendous. I booked a 12:00 apptmt for gel manicure and pedicure. At 12:45 I approached the two girls at the desk (nice teenagers) and told them, people are very forgiving and we understand it's a holiday but could you just let us know what is going on people are fine and very forgiving when you communicate. They mumbled something about walk-ins- no eye contact - and did I know it was the day before Thanksgiving. It was clear that they were taking too many walk-ins and not servicing the clients that booked appointments. A few customers sat right down and had their nails done while we waited. After sitting in the water for 45 minutes, they started finally finished her pedicure- we were told 10 minutes for gel manicure after it was completed and about another 20 minutes and by now the salon had cleared out - about 5 more guests came in for pedicures and were started immediately. I again went to the front desk, and asked how long - she went to talk to the manager who was doing nails and NEVER approached to handle the situation. She did move us to the floor but couldn't tell us how long to wait. So at five minutes to 2 pm we had to leave, again the Manager never came to us and we had a long explanation about how people who book appointments take longer but appointments are serviced first and there are delays - but not 2 hours. They should have just admitted they forgot us. We had to leave without getting the gel manicure we booked. 1. Don't have teenagers working the front that cannot speak to the public or make eye contact and definitely cannot manage integrating walk-ins with appointment clients. 2. If you are running behind, communicate with the people who have appointments. 3. Try having a manager who manages. 4. Don't take more walk-ins than you can handle. Very disappointing. read more

Luminous V was great when it first opened. Now that it's been open a while, grown in popularity, and is very successful, the wait time has increased along with its success. I do like the convenience of the salon being in a close location to my home. Unfortunately, even with an appt, the wait for a manicure or pedicure has gotten longer and longer. If I am a walk-in, I would completely understand and have waited a while to be seen by a technician. I did make an appt for a Friday morning. Admittedly, I arrived five minutes late. I waited in the lobby area for about 10 min. Then I was directed to a pedicure chair. Once I was seated, I waited 20 min just to have water added to the jetted soaking bowl. After that, I waited another 20 min before I decided to leave as I would have been late to another appt. Unfortunately, all I left with were lavender scented wet feet in my sandals. I understand being busy! It's just when I had an appt from 10-11am, I expect to be finishing up at 10:55am; not waiting for my pedicure to even get started. I will also mention, the wait time has increased and I normally don't mind, but I had made an appt to have a pedicure done before my next appt. I couldn't wait even longer to even be seen. read more
