Very efficient. The staff is well trained and I have never felt like I was getting a quick process and on to the next customer. There are times when it takes longer to get a service. I have waited in the chair for as long as 20 minutes, but that has been rare. I recommend this local business. read more

Updated to add that while I still stand by the fact that everyone at Lounge is amazing...I have recently started to request Van and he is INCREDIBLE! He takes his time and is so meticulous, my nails look better than they ever have in my life thanks to him! I went in for a walk in today and thankfully he was there. I had the itch to have long nails so I decided to do acrylics in an almond shape. I was nervous bc it's outside of my comfort zone but Van was so encouraging and he did an amazing job. Overall, I had a pretty good experience at Lounge. We made an appointment for four people in a Friday afternoon and made it out in about 2 hours. The check in process was interesting. We were not greeted when we walked in and even though we had appointments, we had to check in on the laptop and re-select the services for each person in our party. However, the first person was taken back quickly. The staff was all very nice and friendly and everything appeared clean well-maintained. I got a gel soak off and re-application. She did a really good job shaping up my nails and didn't blink an eye when I decided I didn't like the color I picked out on my nails and asked for a change! However, one of my nails was left with some of my old polish on the side and since it was much darker than the new color it is pretty obvious. I thought maybe she would paint over it, but she left it which is disappointing. Their prices are really good and all of our nails turned out looking good, so I would definetly recommend to a friend and go back if I was in the area. read more

I have had acrylic nails for over 20 years and finding your nail tech is hard. You have to go from nail salon to nail salon trying to find someone who does a good job and actually cares about their work and clients. But I love this place because of Kiera. This girl knows how to do nails! Mine tend to lift in the past but not anymore. This place is so nicely decorated. And the thing I like most about this place is how friendly and professional the owner is. I don't feel uncomfortable here thinking the employees are talking crap about me in their native language. I had really struggled to find a great nail tech at two different nail salons in the past. I lucked into finding Kiera at Lounge Nail Spa! She does great work with both acrylics and dip (I've done both), and will help me figure out how to put a color or design in my brain onto my nails! I love how she hears what I am looking for and always makes sure am happy with how it looks. More than that, if she's not happy with something, she will start over or fix it because she cares about her work and her clients! I just moved to ohio so i needed to find a new salon. they were super clean and smelled good when I walked in! I didn't have an appointment and I was called back pretty quickly. they play really good music too, i was jamming lol. I got dip nails with tips added, short oval, with a top coat of gel for $50 and that's good price to me! i'm from california where that easily would've costed $60-$70. Came here based solely on Yelp reviews and this place is amazing. I'm in Dayton for only a short time so women know how difficult it is getting your nails done at a different place other than your "regular" nail shop. This place is super clean and has tons of chairs and tables. The decorations are beautiful and everything is just so neatly placed. Tons of nail colors too. Even though this place was pretty busy when I walked in, I didn't wait more than 5mins before I was placed at a table and being helped. My nail technician was extremely nice and was very careful with my nails. They accommodated all customers that came in prior to closing and didn't rush at finishing up (even though it was well past closing time). I will definitely be back anytime I am in this area! basic pedicure with Lucy. firstly I hadn't even picked a color and was being rushed to sit. it was 6:30 (closing time 8). I put my feet in the bowl and it was slimy. there was plastic wrapping already in the bowl with water. I went with my sister and we sat side by side, the manicurists were not going at the same pace whatsoever. the woman was turned around while pushing my cuticles back. didn't even place the equipment to my nail. RUSHED every step. as she poured lotion on my legs while feet still wet and in bowl for the massage it felt completely uncomfortable. it should have been the oil used in this step, not lotion mixed with dirty feet water. she proceeded to wipe the lotion off with the dirty towel she used to wipe her utensils on. I immediately pulled my feet away and asked to stop the service. This was the worst pedicure experience I've ever had and will not return. was charged $20 instead of the $40 With tears in my eyes. I rushed home to shower and get the remaining lotion and foot water off of my legs. read more

I needed to get a set of acrylic nails removed so I stopped by Lounge Nail Spa because I was in the area. Covid safety: Excellent. You check-in online and wait in your car for a text before entering. All staff and customers are wearing masks. There's plexiglass between the customer and manicurist. I was very happy with the work Jenny did to remove the acrylics and get my natural nails back in shape- see my photo. She was friendly and clearly knew what she was doing. She offered other services- manicure, polish, etc.- but was not pushy when I declined. She asked about why I was removing the acrylics and then showed me an alternative- the dip powder- on her natural nails which would better suit my needs. If I decide to try that I'll return to this salon and ask for Jenny specifically. read more

I absolutely *love* this salon. I don't care what time of year it is, they are always so kind, respectful, and talented. The nail techs are very intuitive and professional too. I've been going to this salon for only two years but I will be a forever client due to their services, work, and employees. I always come out extremely satisfied. My nails are always perfectly shaped and look professional. This is my first time getting a pedicure at this salon and I am still so pleased with their work. I have gone to other salons and they just can't do it like the Lounge. I wore a dress and my nail tech was kind enough to give me a towel to drape over my lap while getting my pedicure. Walking into this salon you will notice a clean salon - plus! As a first time "walk-in" customer, Vee was very approachable and walked me through the sign-in process. I wanted to give this salon a higher rating, and generally just skip adding reviews, but I hope this helps the salon improve these pain points. My appt. was a gel manicure and Sara T. was my manicurists. Multiple times she adjusted my hand to accommodate her, probably over 30x. I relaxed my hands as best I could, but she continued to be frustrated and commented numerous times. As she was filing my nail she was hitting my other fingers with the file which caused pain. When I say I don't complain... I have never at any salon, but this was it for me. I told her it was painful and she told me I needed to relax my hand... again. Afterwards she proceeded to speak to other manicurists, not in English, while they both looked at me. Am I paranoid, no, but it was apparent the conversation was about me and probably about my complaint, unprofessional in my opinion. I still gave her a tip, but left with the thought I'll never go back. Instead of a relaxing experience, I came away with anxiety and felt like the service was rushed. Give the customers a better experience, tell your techs to focus on the customer and not other techs when performing a service. Ask the customer how they can help you perform a better service... I don't know, maybe engage more instead hurrying to get to the next customer. read more

Let me start by saying they did a great job on my acrylic set, I love them. If it was just for the nails I would rate 5 stars. But my pedicure experience has left me with a gaping cut on my foot almost a week later. It is small but incredibly painful and not healing. Originally I wasn't going to say anything as the lady who did my pedicure was super sweet. But at this point I definitely felt I needed to leave a review. Really happy about my experience here. Because of COVID and not feeling comfortable I didn't get my nails for all of 2019. So sad! Today I felt ready to hop back into a salon and was in the area and I'm glad I stopped in. Immediately I felt comfortable. They take appts as well as walk-ins. I didn't have an appt and was still seated right away. I wanted a gel manicure on my natural nails and was in and out in under and hour. Impressive! I showed Tracy a photo of what I wanted my nails to look like and she did a great job. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. Customers as well as those providing services wear masks. Also, there is a plexiglass divider at the nail counters which made me feel very at ease. Acrylic manicures with Tee and Tracy here are great. Do not get manicured with anyone else... the results will be very variable. The online check in and appt system is frustrating to use, and I've made appointments that have not been kept multiple times (ex called and made appt for 3 pm with a specific tech, arrived on the day of my appt and was told that my appointment is "on the side" so I will need to wait until the first available tech can take me... what is the point of the system then?) read more

I was told that I could go out of the door with a half a job done because they failed to let me know they wouldn't have time to finish. I spoke to the manager himself who told me it would only be about 30 minutes. I waited hours before I was even notified there was a chair ready. Once I got to the chair I had to listen to the nail tech agrue with me as to why she wasn't going to remove my nails. Then she tells me she can either remove them or fill them. There was no way these were fillable they weren't even professional done! She refused to listen to me and then tells me I'm also not going to get my pedicure nor is my child going to get their service... SO WHAT DID YOU EVEN CALL ME IN GET FOR?! AND THENNNN.... to have me still wait another 30 minutes. I had an event to go to the next day and with enough notice I could have went to another salon. My professional appearance means a lot so I am about to be utterly embarrassed. I have been here a billion times and have spent wayyyyy to much money here for that! I will never be coming here again. When you call, a text message is sent to your phone informing you that either you can join their waitlist or book an appointment via text and they will answer you. No response after 2 days. Waited for over an hour on their wait list just for them to text back saying they are not providing that service today. I didn't just wait 10 or 15 mins, it was over an hour. And when confronted about it, there is no apology , no attempt to make up for it. I never felt so disregarded. I went in to speak to someone but they just said well we're too busy . Then left and did not provide no other communication. They made me feel little and made me feel like a complete idiot infront of the customers for being upset about it. amazed! this is a very busy place and for a great reason, they are pretty awesome here. they have private parking and that is great and convenient. once you come in you will notice that they keep the culture of a salon alive. these staff members are fun, talk to the customers and make jokes amongst themselves but we all have fun with them while getting pampered! it is definitely not like all nail salons now a days that you watch your nail tech talking in a foreign language to others and wonder if they are talking about you lol these guys do a great job with gel mani and their deluxe pedicure will bring you to heaven and back! Horrible experience, nails chipped after 3 days, horrible customer service, tech was very nice, but other than that, I was charged $100 to not receive the set I asked for, nails are SEE THROUGH (clearly not enough polish put on), and they are expecting me to drive 1.5 hours to get them fixed. Manager was rude, stating "look, I can offer you $16." What kind of tone is this to take with someone?! Inappropriate behavior and poor customer service. Will never be back. I thought this place was great because they carry the gel x but the girl that did mine rushed through them and the shaping was horrible and within a day the nail polish bled and a nail came off. I go in to get it fixed asked to fix the nail And the bleeding nail polish. Then I asked to fix the shaping and looked at me stupid. So I now have to go home and shape my own nails for $130. I asked for almond shape and got charged for that shape but she wasn't able to provide it. Unfortunately I won't be returning. Sad because they are very nice. read more

I came in right when they opened and was a walk in and it took about 5 mins. Ken spent a lot of time soaking my acrylic nails off that were long over due. He did a great job soaking them off because my nails had minimum damage. He then did a great job at my shellac manicure. I was there for probably 2 hours. They aren't cheap. They don't have mani and pedi specials. I'm going to go get another manicure and pedicure soon. They are really clean and tons of parking. They take American Express and you can tip with your card. I treated my sister and mother Deluxe pedicures (the top shelf item) my mom ended up having one of the owners (sina) she said she was amazing, gentle and overall wonderful! Mom says 5stars My sister got a lady whom she was pleased with for her deluxe pedi then she got the basic mani and there was a spot on her finger that was causing her pain and she asked her lady to stop touching it and the lady still kept digging at her finger.... but She said she did a great job with the painting and that she'd totally go back and see her !!! so Beth says 4stars I wish I could remember the name of the older lady who had and did my basic pedi and gel French mani. She wasn't gentle with my toes. I said ouch and she looked at me but it didn't change. I'm very foot sensitive and she kept using her nails to go under my nails to get the sides cut which I understand but still painful. She was rushing my pedi because her other apt walked in even tho I made apt a week in advance for all three of us. So she got nail polish on my toes and tried to remove it but didn't get it all. And rushed me through my pedi... then she helped her other apt rather than starting my mani...My gel mani was better!! Turned out great accept she cut at my cuticle till I bled and my finger is lined with blood (ew!) It's been a few days and I just wanted to add that my finger Cuticles were cut back so far that it hurt to do my kids hair, or reach into my purse or pockets!!! They also bled for days!!! For the price I paid I'm pissed !!!!!! If I hadn't already flew back home I'd go into the salon and make a formal complaint to the owner ! read more

Gave this place a second try and they wasted my time, again. Waited over 45 min for them to take me for an acrylic fill in, was first on the waitlist for about 25 min finally just walked in to see what was happening. They said they couldn't take me due to closing time, which is understandable. BUT no one told me they cancelled my appointment so I was waiting for nothing. Decided to give them a second chance and was told to come in, waited 40min in the salon to be taken to a chair. Three other people went ahead of me when I know for sure two of them were behind me on the waitlist (I spoke to customers). I understand different services are different priorities but no one spoke to me to tell me what was going on. Very aggravated and disappointed with this place. They did a fantastic job! The exact shape, color and length I wanted. I'm now probably 4-5 weeks out and they still look amazing, just grown out. They used tips to extend my nails.
