I booked a Swedish massage. I told her medium to light pressure and had to tell her to stop 4 times as she was causing me to have muscle spasms. It was painful and I told her. When she asked me to turn over, I couldn't understand her so I asked her if she wanted me to turn over and she gave me an attitude. When she was done she just left. I bought a "foot reflexology" session off of Groupon for foot pain from running. You were prompted to tip beforehand, kind of annoying but whatever. When I got there the girl didn't seem to know what that was. She set me up for a regular massage, but I told her it was for foot reflexology. She said ok and did my feet and my chins a lot. It kind of hurt and she just did it with one hand. I felt weird having to keep asking her to massage my feet, not my chins. She was nice but seemed annoyed. They definitely shouldn't be selling foot reflexology sessions on Groupon. I would come back for a normal massage or try another treatment, but only in person not over Groupon because I didn't get what was advertised. read more

Coming from California, Kettering Spa is an absolute find. Staff are friendly and caring. I had a mother-daughter spa day and it was the best. They are also very thorough for waxing, check and rechecking for little hairs. I visit Ohio once a month and will be coming back. Two small things is to check there current website for pricing, apparently the one linked to Yelp is not accurate. The ladies were able to accommodate on a Sunday morning to get massages and facials for myself and my friend to celebrate her birthday. Most day spas I called could not. Our weekday schedules usually prevent us from being able to go through the week so to be able to have an appt scheduled for 11am on a Sunday was great! This was our first visit to the salon. KetterIng Spa is a quintessentially spa that is decorated to replicate a boutique hotel spa. The spa decor speaks clearly of peace and serenity. They offer services ranging from facials, massages, waxing, eye lash extensions. The services that I continued to make appointments for are their signature facials and eye lash extensions. The facials have miraculously helped with my blemishes and pore cleansing effects. These monthly appointments have minimize the blemishes and allowed my face to continue to look refreshed. The eye lash extensions are just as amazing and last approximately 2-3 weeks. The aestheticians are professions profoundly experienced and skilled. I am SO happy I somehow found this place. I had been getting lash extensions for a few months locally & loved the way they looked & really liked the tech. However, one day I wanted to see what other options were out there & randomly found Kettering Spa. I had thought it'd be a fill in, but I had to have those extensions because she used a completely different product. I chose 3D lashes (there are several options/looks in different price ranges). She is so kind, gentle & has a calming energy. While it was slightly more costly than where I was going, it was a better overall experience & end result. She also pays attention closely to client response & asks about quality satisfaction. This the only place I will go from now on & it's 35 minutes away (as opposed to 7, but the extra 28 minute drive worth it). I scheduled a visit for a fill after the first time & scheduled a massage at the same time to check that out too. Massage has been one way I try to manage chronic pain & stress. While there wasn't really time beyond lashes to include the massage due to timing issues on both ends that day, she did anyway. I didn't tell her about all of or the extent of my injuries, but she asked me as she worked with my body. I've had a lot of massage of all types from many different practitioners everywhere. This was different & could be in the top of my favorites. She contributed to all of these areas. BONUS - they gave me 20% off my initial visit since they are a new business. Similarly today, I scheduled again because I was so pleased last time. My massage was incredible. I felt amazing during & afterward. She is very client-aware. Both times, she really made a difference in my day. My lashes look beautiful as always when she's done them. I highly recommend them for massage or lash enhancements; I imagine it would be the same quality & level of satisfaction with other services. I hope to get a facial there one of these days next. I'm glad that I looked to see what else was out there outside the one location in my town; Kettering Spa is directly across from the Greene. I didn't expect to be so impressed.
