I come here often. If you buy 5, and bring back the empty containers, you get a mask free. The rude guy that wear the Seahawks hat, an Apple Watch, and has tattoos decides to point out that the policy is that they cannot accept pots that aren't clean. He told us that he wouldn't be able to do anything but we can rinse out the pots ourselves in their sink. We've done this maybe 5-7 times before. Never has anyone had us rinse out our pots. I'm not going to argue the policy, if that's the policy, great. But why wasn't this the case the 5-7 other times? Every time prior, the empty "uncleaned" pots weren't even looked at. Consistency is key with any business and this guy absolutely tarnished my experience. Every company has policies, and I understand that completely. I'll be sure to clean out my pots next time and write next time about how no one gave a shit about my sparkling clean pots. read more

I'm a little shy and generally like to be left alone when shopping. I've been in here twice and the first time was a bit intimidated. I hadn't done my research the first time and didn't really know what type of products I'd like. I did not care to be followed around and have suggestions thrown out left and right my first time in this store. Today was my second time and this time I was prepared. I knew exactly what I wanted and what things I had questions about. The staff here is SO kind and so knowledgeable. Had another lovely visit to this location on 7/25. The sales associate was warm and friendly and was happy to talk about the products. She had mentioned that they had just gotten a shipment in and I could tell! The soap I purchased was soft and highly fragrant. Yay! My husband and I went into this store as complete newbies with a gift card that he'd gotten from a Secret Santa. I have a coconut allergy and he has a berry allergy, so we were kind of floundering with what products we should get. A very nice lady named Victoria walked us through which bath bombs were safe for our use and even introduced us to the naked shower gels. They were on sale, so we had to pick some up. I love going to this LUSH locations, on the times I go I get treated very friendly and have an employee pay very well attention to me when i ask about a certain product. I love getting to know all the products and their benefits, My last visit was NOT my favorite visit at all. There red headed lady (XTRAhourglass figure, sorry didn't pick up name) asked me what I was looking for and then directed my to the general area and that was it. I had to ask what most of the products were and what they did/ how to use it. After that which I don't really mind at first but I got distracted with my bf who was with me who is also very curious. I used their extra water laying out and a tester, well she came up to us asked us what we were doing and snatched the tongue depressor away from me. I kept looking around and eventually picked out a lush bath bomb. (Love it) and looked some more, the entire time she was watching us like we were ready to steal something or make a mess. I know very well she was close enough to hear me ask a question about the mascara brand that was on display, but openly ignored me, eventually we went to go pay and thinking there was only one register open, with a long line we don't mind the wait time, when it was our turn she came up and opened up the register!! My experience today was not authentic to the Lush brand, at least in my experience. I've been a Lush "fan" for years and have been in several other locations. Maybe it was that the store was a having a slow moment when I came in but I felt like I could not simply take in the spread of products without being assailed with overbearing customer service from a revolving cast of three female sales people. After looking at other reviews maybe it's that the sales people were instructed by their manager to step it up a notch, and they did. Too. Much. I like to browse and ask questions when I feel it's necessary. I don't like to be bothered non-stop about current sales promotions and be forced into product demos when it's clear I'm not into it. Also, the store is really tiny and awkwardly lit . That being the case it's difficult to inspect products you may want to gift or get an accurate sniff of a scent you may want to purchase. Going forward, I'll be buying online or trekking out to my favorite SF location. read more

I usually don' t post reviews but the employees here are just way too overbearing. I know what I like and don't like and I don't need sales associates pushing me into buying products I don't need. I want the luxury of shopping & exploring around on my own. I feel like I'm always getting bum rushed when I come into this store. Even when I'm giving them the cold shoulder & showing them no interest, they still proceed to bother me showing me how each product works. So annoying! I'm a HUGE fan of Lush but I don't think I feel comfortable coming here anymore if I can't look around on my own without a sales associate on my ass the whole time. When I come here, all I want to do is get the hell out of there quick! This store would have been convenient because I do live in Pleasanton. The staff here is extremely friendly & helpful, they listen to your skin/haircare needs & try to find you an item that will best suit said needs. Not only that, but they do not hesitate to offer samples so you don't have to make a purchase & then a return if you don't like the product itself. Very disappointed :( I have been a lush fan for MANY years and have been to over 10 different stores in different cities, states, and even in another country and this is by far the worst! I know the small space is not the workers fault, but whenever i come in the workers are standing in the tiny aisles chatting with one another and dont move or greet me till i say "excuse me" and push past. Once i am safely in the store and the workers pause their conversation to notice me they bombard me with questions and try to sell me stuff. I know what i want and where it is. I tell them this nicely and they still won't leave me alone. Don't know what i like better, loud chatting workers who ignore me or ones that won't leave me alone. Will stick to online and valley fair from now on. read more

Everyone always talks to me even when it's super busy. But I literally just walked out of there and no one helped me. I was there for only a couple of minutes but there were two employees working and there was literally only two other people in the store. I started walking around a couple of times cause I knew what I wanted but couldn't find it. A girl with long hair and a septum piercing went and spoke to a couple that had just walked in, after a couple of minutes. I totally get that people get missed all the time when it's busy because I work retail. But no one greeting me, or even asking if I was looking for something, is just rude. The two girls were talking to the only customers at the register while all this happened. Step away from them and at least ask if I came in for anything in particular. Every single time I have went I learn so much. Today I learned customer service is hit or miss on weekdays. I will keep coming back because of the previous experiences. Had this been my first time coming in, I would never return. If you see the white tall guy that works there with blonde hair, go to him! I usually see him and he's so calm, patient, and knowledgeable. I love that guy! I wish I would've gotten the names of the other girls that gave me great customer service. THE PRODUCT: AMAZING. -skindrink facial moisturizer is my favorite. I get really dry patches around my mouth and chin and this completely stops it. I have dry skin so this was the best thing ever. -The lip scrub is heavenly and really gets your lips ready for lipstick, especially matte ones. -The cinnamon shampoo bar (circular one) smells so good and it was recommended to me since I mainly care about growth. -The oatifix face mask smells so freaking good but I only used it twice before it expired. I was so sad. -ocean salt is the best exfoliator I've ever used. This isn't gonna scratch your face like the St. Ives apricot scrub, it used to be my favorite. Also, it isn't bad for the ocean like exfoliators that have beads in them. It feels a bit rough for your face at first but you learn to not rub it like crazy on your face. GET THE SELF-PRESERVING ONE! Trust me. The non self preserving one was too rough and I broke out after one use. Also, I waited weeks before using it again and I'm suffering for it cause I broke out again. Get the self preserving one, trust me! Pretty much, get a great brand ambassador and they can completely make your life! The more knowledge you both exchange the better you'll enjoy your product and the experience. read more

So much going on in such a small space, made me a bit anxious but I already knew what I was going in for which helped a lot. Did some research and digging about most of their products and read many reviews before investing. I walked in this morning and it was empty which made my experience better considering that its a small space. When I first walked in I was greeted, which i appreciated and then I was left alone for quite some time until I asked for help and the young girl who helped me, was really helpful. Answered all my questions and even showed me how to use one of their products. I then payed for the products I chose and asked me if I wanted any samples and I said yes. I used to go to Valley Fair but their staff was rude and not welcoming or helpful at all. This lush location wasn't too bad, I mean it is a small store. Probably one of the smallest ones I've been to but the employees were great I will give them that. Rather than that I didn't care too much for this Lush location but over all I would recommend the one in San Mateo, Fresno or even Sacramento they have a very much larger section & actually do demonstrate some of the bath bombs, makes you just wanna try them all! Went to pick up some Bath Bombs. The line was an extra long wait, due to the Internet being down so they had to process everything by hand - no biggie since it's not their fault. After I left, I realized that I was overcharged. I pulled up the lush website on my phone to confirm the price and I walked back to let them know. Well they have horrible customer service when it comes to returning but then again which store doesn't give you problems with returning. I thought Lush would be different. I got my husband some shampoo for his dermatitis and well the sales rep promised me it would not sting him and to try it out for 2 weeks before considering to return. She said I could definitely return no questions asked. I bought it and we'll it made his scalp worse so I tried to return but she gave me such attitude and trouble to return the item. She said he used to much of the product... When it was still almost full.. Don't say you will take it back no questions asked if your going to ask 10+ questions. Never going back and never recommending, they also don't use ORGANIC ingredients. It's not all "natural". Read ingredients before buying. read more

Guys this place rocks! I came in today with a terrible head cold just looking for a bath bomb to help me relax. Gabe I believe his name was (the store manager) was so amazing! First off his awesome energy made me feel better instantly. I told him I had been sick and he asked my symptoms and helped me find 2 amazing bath bombs. He also helped me pick one out for my 4 year old and she is so excited to take a bath tonight! Gabe also picked me out an amazing face mask along with a shower gel and body conditioner. I would be giving them zero stars if possible. I had the most embarrassing and disrespectful experience I have ever had in a store, ever before! I came in today in the early afternoon probably about 1pm. I took a shower jelly, shower scrub, and lip scrub to the front to check out. It came to $51 and some change. I proceeded to hand the cashier an old style $100 bill. He said he would be right back and went into the back. About 3 minutes later he came back with my bill and said "this doesn't look legit to us so you need to check with your bank. We won't accept this." He said it rudely and you could tell he thought I was trying to hand over a counterfeit bill. I almost reached for ANOTHER $100 bill that happened to be a newer one but then I decided against giving them my business because of the discrimination and disrespect I just faced. I explained to him this bill came straight from the bank to begin with! And I proceeded to walk out. I am so upset and done with this lush location. They used the pen to check for counterfeit bills and it didn't turn dark on my bill and they still turned it away! I can easily afford $50 of merchandise in this store and could have paid with a card or cash other than that bill but the employee was so disrespectful and rude that I was not even going to bother. He was a young blonde/brownish haired kid who obviously can't figure his job out or how to be professional. Make sure you have new bills if you bother with this store because it seems they are not trained to understand that not all bills look like the most recent ones!!!! However I recommend steering clear of this location altogether cuz they're unprofessional and disrespectful!!!! read more

Every Lush I've been to has been clean, well organized with friendly knowledgeable employees. Stoneridge stands out with the freshest products, best organized shelves and helpful staff. Staff is helpful without being intrusive with great timing on demonstrations and product suggestions. Will definitely be my go to store. read more

Store is small though so it was kind of difficult to navigate when there were 3-4 other guests in addition to the sales associates. I don't think I have EVER asked, "Is there a survey somewhere I can take?" Where to begin? Carmen promptly greeted me. She asked if there was anything I needed and I told her, well I am here to redeem my pots, but I don't remember what I get. (I had been holding onto them since the Holiday season when I forgot to redeem!) A free fresh mask! I have been dying to try! Score! I asked if there was one to help with juvenile acne and she asked me questions, regarding the type of skin etc. The amount of attention she showed me made me feel valued. Not that my hundreds of visits before didn't, but it was just something about her. She wasn't trying to sell me anything, but assisted me in all my selections and even shared what the benefits were of some of the products including introducing me to Bath Oils. She works inside of a very busy mall, the only one supporting several cities and she was still smiling and treating me with such courtesy and respect.
