I would like to place emphasis on how kind the employees in this Ulta are. Today I made a mistake believing my delivery order was an in store pick up order. Dee looked for the order, and when I was unable to sign into my account on my phone Dee as well as the surrounding employees were very patient, and reassuring. I apologized went home, and realized my mistake. I cannot emphasis how much I appreciate the entire team's patience, and remained unbothered by my exhausted state. Horrible customer service. I tried to get help from a girl at the front who made eye contact with me then completely dismissed my entire existence. When I confronted her about it she just smirked and told me she was doing something at the time of the interaction. When I called to complain a manger just told me that he was there and that wasn't what he saw. I could probably spend all day here looking at everything but my bank account might not like that lol! I was looking for a gift and asked for assistance, one of the members named Sita assisted me on the floor and was so helpful finding me a perfume gift for a male friend. sometimes I hesitate to ask for help at other stores in general because it's very busy or staff seem preoccupied or not so welcoming. but Sita was more than happy to help. I didn't get the lady's name who was at the front ringing people up but she was so kind, calm, professional, & had a positive attitude, & very helpful too. She helped me find a moisturizer I was looking for and appreciated her assistance as well. Absolute rave to Miriam in Luxury makeup! She helped me find the right products as someone who doesn't wear makeup but wants to start wearing it more often. From primer, skin tint, blush and bronzer she picked and used the products that worked with my skin type and budget. She even used the testers on me to give me a fuller picture of how to apply and where to apply for my face shape. My daughter and I were on a mission to find a specific brand of makeup. Honestly, I don't have the patience to be in the store that long. I like going in, grabbing what I need, pay, and leave. It was a bit busy at 7:30pm on a weeknight. There was only one person at the register and one other person on the floor. The long wait was worth it because Nichole was awesome! Never met someone with the best customer service skills, her positive attitude, and authenticity was very much appreciated. When I shop at a make up store- the people on the floor "try" to match and help, you think what you purchased was right.. you go home, try it and it doesn't work out. This experience was the opposite. Nichole helped and stayed with us until we were satisfied with the product. Again, very much appreciated. We forgot to ask Nicole - what are your work hours? The saga continues. My complaint with BBB was to be settled with a refund in 7 to 21 days. No refund to date. I've received nothing with the exceptions of empty promises from Ulta's Guest services and barrages of emails. The worst customer service. No accountability whatsoever. When I drove all the way home to realize my pick up order wasn't in my bag, I called and the manager said "it's not my fault you forgot it and I'm not paying for your gas". Please come here if you want to be followed and treated like a criminal! I came in on my rare day off I'm a nurse working over 70 hours a week needing one thing. And the stank face manger locked in from the moment I walked in, I had my dog with me and I called right before I came in asking if dogs are allowed in since she is very skittish and sometimes will growl so I was making sure I was out of peoples way ,So I knew I needed to get a concealer from nars so I walked straight to that side to grab what I needed while waiting for the other worker to grab the item I needed the other employee/manager kept making eye contact coming pass me not ONCE did she ask if I needed help nothing, finally after getting the concealer from the other employee I made my way to register and stopped at a few areas to take a look at other products that's when I realized I KEEP making eye contact or passing by the same employee who still hasn't asked me if I needed anything just wanted to kept an eye out for me. I was not grabbing or touching multiple things I looked around as I made my way to register and even as I was standing near register she still had to come look at me. I was in there less than 5 min because like I mentioned I had my dog with me so I needed to be quick but within those mere minutes of me being in there she just kept following me. There was plenty of employees there since it is a Sunday all whom were nice and called my dog cute. I understand there are things in place if you suspect someone is stealing but she did not even try to hide that she was following me which I didnt give her a reason to but even if she thought she needed to keep an eye out it was done so horribly that made me feel so uncomfortable and upsetting since I've never stolen anything before. Their perfume testers are always empty. What's the point of leaving the empty bottles out? I went yesterday and 8 of the 10 bottles I wanted to smell were empty. So this was my first experience inside an Ulta. Not sure how that's possible. It's like all your beauty products from nail to skin, and makeup to hair, all in the same place. Big brand names, less-expensive brands; everything! I had a gift card that I've had over 2 years, so i stopped in today while killing time in the area between jobs and, being low on mascara, checked out the Benefit products. They had my usual mascara, plus the same one in a fun hue of bright blue. A really nice girl (missed her name, but possibly with violet hair) helped me and even showed me the proper way to use the liquid eyeliner Benefit sells. I stuck to what I know, but appreciated the info and friendly greeting. I found some other things as i walked around the store and ended up with about $100 of goodies before checkout. Nonnie was at the register ringing me up and also shared her surprise in this being my first visit. She told me about the reward program as she signed me up, and didn't complain at all when I sampled the dry shampoo tester, even though it was quite a pungent fragrance in her space. She was also informative, suggested a different brand of dry shampoo, explained her reasons for liking it, and made the end of my visit very pleasant. Both employees i encountered seemed happy to be helpful, and it sounds silly saying this, but they kind of made my experience feel like I was shopping with friends. Really nice staff here, and it was easy to find what i wanted in this store! read more

Today I went in at 12:45PM. Within a few moments of entering an amazing associate offered assistance. I needed to buy foundation and concealer. She listens to my preferences product-wise and helped me select the perfect foundation, and helped shade match my shade of double wear foundation. She did the same for the concealer. She was able to shade-match me on first try for each product. The associate was so nice and helpful, I regret not getting her name to mention here, hence why I mentioned the time I visited. read more

Ask for Zara! She is amaaaaazing. I am so happy the first girl I encountered sent me Zara's way. I was there inquiring about the Polite society lip plumper, and Zara was there to assist. The first girl did not have any knowledge about the product line. Zara appeared out of nowhere with a bright beautiful welcoming smile. The first sales rep ask Zara if she knew about the product line and Zara said yes. Having knowledge of a stores products in which you work is top-tier. Zara is top-tier!! We chatted as I was making my decision. She "swashed" herself with the product so that I could see the difference in color. Zara went above and beyond to assist me however As she was helping me decide what I needed, her manager approached her to tell her that there were people over in fragrance waiting. Zara finished up with me and didn't rush me off as all people and fragrance was more important. I don't like feeling rushed because I'll make the wrong decision then come back to return the product. I'm not really a make-up girly so it's hard for me to decide and Zara made me feel very comfortable. I usually feel intimidated when I come into these types of stores. I wasn't sure if her Manager wanted her to rush me off to get to the other customers in fragrance, but I felt that it was rude and it intimidated me. It made me feel like I needed to rush what I was doing or to tell Zara it was OK for her to leave and go to the other customers. Zara made sure that she stayed attentive to me until I made my choice which made me feel like she cared about Ulta beauty customers.... I was waiting for so long to get help with a foundation match but no one came by. Some lady had said she will send someone over and no one came by. Eventually I just started to walk away. I did find an elf product that I haven't been able to find anywhere else even at other Ulta's. When I went to check out, I saw so many available workers... Just sucks when the workers follow you around thinking you're actually stealing. My main point is, do not expect to receive any help. I have been to this place for blowout styling. Hairwash was just for 3-4 mins, blow dry was at the lowest speed with no results on my hair.it was done for 10-12 mins. I felt no results. I felt discriminated by the workers because each time I was looking at the makeup, the worker was right next to me. I felt uncomfortable. I want to leave so bad. This only happen to me. So I've been to this location a few times within a couple years. I thought I'd stop by to see if anything has changed in regards to customer service, but it's actually still the same. The associates on the floor could be nicer -- their tone shouldn't be so pushy or aggressive. As for the cashiers, they've always been either rude or non attentive. This is coming from someone who also used to work for the beauty industry/retail. If you're going to be in customer service, at least be friendly and presentable. You're suppose to make your guests feel "welcomed". Literally the only friendly person in that store was whoever greeted me when I walked in. Not to the mention, their layout is unorganized. The employees that worked the mid shift on Saturday, September 7th around 4-5 were discriminating my family. My mom was excited for the Ulta Beauty sale going on and as we were looking at the foundations, a lot of employees would come over asking us if everything was okay. One employee came by a lot of times and would supposedly talk through the microphone that they have and would say " There isn't the shade available " and would stare at us while we were looking at the makeup. Even though they repeatedly asked if we needed help, they kept staring at us and watching our every move. Especially since we are Hispanic!!! This Ulta is not good and plus it's super dirty and disgusting. The employees should be more worried about the store being clean than watching us shade match each other. Five stars for Keri at Benefit Brow, she's awesome. I walked in wanting my eyebrows waxed and not having much time but Keri was fast and I left loving my brows. I explained to Keri my concern with losing my shape and she assured me she would do her best to give me an amazing shape and she did just that. For the last few weeks, Ulta has had one of my favorite hair products on sale at an unbelievably deep discount. The catch? I have not been able to find this product at any Ulta store on either coast. I saw online that this store location had it in stock and immediately called them and asked them to set a few aside for me. The girl on the phone took my name and said that the items would be at the counter waiting for me when I arrived. Great! Imagine my surprise when I get to the store and not only are the items *not* there, but no one knows anything about me calling in and requesting them... Ugh! The cashier, Emma, asked her colleague if she wanted to go and help me find the products I requested, and the woman flat out said "no". Oookay. So Emma sets out to help me find said product. She was very nice, and very apologetic about her colleague's negligence in following through with my request. We checked the brand's display and my item was not there. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. Emma offered to bring over a manager that I could speak to about the situation. Instead, she checked in the back for the product and asked some of her other colleagues if there was anywhere else in the store that the product might be. She came back a few minutes later and led me right to the product I wanted. I was so relieved because I was tired of going from store to store and being disappointed... especially because I was really banking on my search for this product ending here. I wish I could give 10 stars to the person that gave me an eyebrow wax at the benefit counter today at 5:30. I really wish I had gotten her name, but she is the true example in the dictionary of customer service. She was phenomenal. She really took the time. I was getting my eyebrow wax after having a very bad experience at the European wax center in Livermore. She was very empathetic. She took the time to explain what she was doing step-by-step she did not rush me in order did she make me feel bad about being nervous about the eyebrow wax! By the way did I mention it is painless over here at Ulta?? she was very gentle and very sweet as she explained every question I had thoroughly without rushing me or making me feel like I was being annoying. I can't wait to book my next service with her as she is awesome and she totally deserves a promotion. She should teach others how customer service is done. This Ulta location is terrible, for one they have very low stock on products and the stock they do have is very unorganized. By the looks of their product it seems as if other shoppers had to do the same thing I did, which is grab the handful of products to look through the shades and what they actually had and then shove them back in. The testers are TERRIBLE completely shattered, not the right shades, seems like customers got frustrated and just ripped open the merchandise. Not very cost effective. As for some of the hair products, some of them were leaking, completely popped open and had a majority of the product in the cap ‍ there was a product that I wanted to try but there was only 2 and the weight felt completely different, definitely not going to buy that. Never left a store wanting to spend more money but absolutely couldn't. Also I believe the previous reviews about people feeling racially profiled, didn't happen to me this time around that I noticed but I definitely have felt this the previous times I went. read more
