I love this store. Even though there's one in Walnut Creek where I live, I still make the drive to the Pleasanton one. This store is so much bigger and they always have everything in stock - I never have a hard time finding anything at the Pleasanton location. And the staff are A+. Probably one of the bigger Lush shops I've been to! Staff is super friendly and helpful without being too helicoptery around you. Not only did they have the full stock of all the Christmas holiday goods, but they also had the full stock of the Wicked collaboration items too. What was also surprising was they also had some of their Halloween goods in stock as well. I'm glad that they were selling those and that they weren't things that were tossed out. As you get closer to this store you can't help but head in there from the sweet lingering aroma of their products. The store is always clean and the employees are friendly. I had a very upsetting experience at the Lush Cosmetics location in Stoneridge Mall. After I paid for my items, the employee told me the transaction did not go through and pressured me to pay again. I showed proof from my bank account that the payment had already been taken, but instead of helping resolve the issue professionally, I was made to feel uncomfortable and accused of not paying. No customer should have to argue over money that was already removed from their account. This experience felt dishonest and extremely unprofessional. I've since learned that other customers have had similar issues, and it's concerning that people's money can be taken while employees deny the transaction went through. I hope management addresses this seriously, improves employee training, and ensures customers are not put in this situation again. read more

I love Lush, BUT this location has unkept, unclean staff. A note to whomever does the hiring, can you hire people who are properly groomed? I don't want to shop at a store where people putting lotions and potions on me are dirty. I have been to this store several times and it's always the same kind of staff, green hair, tattoos and dirty finger nails or chipped nail polish and unkept. Here is a heads up to the hiring manager, this is a personal hygiene shop. Please change up your hiring strategy or at least hire SOME clean people to balance the dirty ones'? Customer service is really good at this location. I stopped in about a week ago to pick up a gift for my friend. I let them know what I was looking for and they went over all the different gift boxes. I ended up getting a small gift box of sleepy and a little something for myself as well. The bath bombs are simply the bomb as well as their soaps. Everyone here was super friendly and helpful. I stopped in when they weren't super crowded but they also let me wander and not be over the top with customer service. Come in and at least give their items a sniff. I have been a loyal lush customer for almost 7 years now.. I wouldn't say I love all their products but the ones I love I use them practically every day. The imperialis face moisturizer is my absolute favorite. I have gone through tubs of this product. It's light, has a lovely fragrance to it and keeps my skin supple all day long. I have also used a bunch of their body lotions (currently using karma cream), and also their face masks. The reason I decided that I had to write a review today was because of the many surprises I found in my pick-up order from this Lush store. Given these Covid times the store was offering a curb-side pick up. I placed the order 2 days ago, and it was ready the same day. The store will hold it for you for 4 days. Today morning I got a reminder call to pick up the order too which I appreciated. The curbside pick up was excellent. I called the store when I was there, and a lovely lady showed up with my bag of goodies and placed it on the back seat of my car. She mentioned they have given me a few samples. But I was not prepared for what I saw when I opened the bag at home! With the 2 items that I ordered that had included 9 samples!!! NINE! I am so stoked! The layout of the store appears more open and easier to maneuver around the store. There are always new products when I visit which is great! The associates are friendly and helpful too. There was a new employee training during my visit and he was asked a lot of test questions. The individual asking the questions was calm and helped the new employee with identifying products and their benefits. It's like a miner's cave, except instead of gold it's filled with Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars. Seriously, that's the vibe I get from this store and I love it. I had the perfect experience here. The shelves were full and there were tons of products that weren't at their WC sister store. Associates were friendly and helpful, but not overly so. They asked me before putting product in my hands or taking it out of them. They were all friendly, but only one associate approached me, instead of each staff member-- which was great and didn't make me feel overwhelmed. Such a great vibe. I love that I can come into a Lush store and feel 'taken care of', without feeling like I'm an upsell waiting to happen. All around a five star experience. First off the workers here are very rude. Google says store opens at 11am. I called to ask what time they opened because it was past 11am (almost 11:30) I asked a friendly question and the worker who answered was very rude about it. Another time, a worker who was helping me had poor hand hygiene and tried to help me with very dirty finger nails and even tried to give me a toner sample on a cotton swab! The products here are overly priced and skin products broke me out. The only good thing here is the charity pot lotion but even that is overly priced for a small container. The bar soaps smell really nice and lather up nice but I dislike how the color of the bar soap stains my bathtub so it's not worth it. Wont ever come back here again. This is a really fun store that I would really enjoy coming in the future at any location. I am more interested in the bubble bars and the bath bombs. Me and my two other cousins came to Pleasanton for their prom dresses at Windsor and we had a lot to time to kill. I encouraged we would go in to kill time and we did, it was all of our first time. We walked up the street and tried to pass a store, but we couldn't. We were drawn in by the amazing aromas wafting out of the store. Since then it's been a never ending affair with Lush products. Wow this was the BIGGEST Lush store I've ever been in. It's on the first floor of Stoneridge Mall and may look like your average size Lush Cosmetics, but don't be fooled. Once you enter you can see how spacious it is. Normally, I'll walk into a Lush (heck even just by the front of it) and be attacked by all the fragrances to the point where I get a mild headache after being in the store for too long [props to all of the staff that work there]. But this one had a whole two walls just for bath bombs, another whole section for face masks / lotion / hair care, and a section for gift wrapping (yeah I was amazed at that too ! But excited because who doesn't love the holidays heh) The staff is super kind and helpful - fun fact : I learned that the difference between a bath bomb and essential oil is that essential oils take longer to dissolve and don't fizz, but they're better for your skin. You can mix both together and have a fun bath cocktail. Maybe when I'm feeling bougier I'll come back and try that. read more

I'm pretty obsessed with Lush now, to say the least. I pass by this store all the time but never stopped in. I noticed that they relocated to a larger store, so I went in to check it out. I was really overwhelmed (in a really good way) with all the beautiful bath bombs and bars. The store has a huge amount of staff who greet you immediately and genuinely seem happy to work there and passionate about the product. The staff will demonstrate the bath bombs and bar anytime and seem really educated on all the products. I purchased 4 bath bombs (Big Blue, Tisty Tosty, Lava Lamp), one of which was a cool blue robot one(baby bot) for my little one- total $28, not bad. My experience with the bath bomb itself: I tried the " Big Blue" (Refreshing, oceanic bathing). It was really neat to watch it fizz and turn my bath water blue & start letting out slivers of silky seaweed. The water smelt amazing and after a 20 minute soak,my skin felt so smooth and hydrated. I'm going back this weekend to stock up on more, I will be a regular customer FOR SURE! read more

For the amount of stuff I got, no samples.. Better service at Valley fair. It's not like this location was busy or anything, It doesn't have everything which is sad because any compact (which it was not) can manage space and carry a cast majority of the products. It's a cute set up though. I felt like some of the workers just liked to chit chat instead of taking the time to do anything else. At Valley fair, a lot of things are packaged fresh and dated so you're aware of the expiration date, not sure of this location. But, they didn't really do much. read more

Today was the first opportunity I had to stop into Lush since they opened a store in the mall. If you've ever been to a Lush shop you know how interesting it is to sample, sniff, ooh and ahh at every concoction. When you have motivated, knowledgable, staff eager to fill you in on their favorites and offer suggestions, it makes browsing a lot of fun. The ingredients, made up of plants and essential oils are TDF. Today I opted to buy a mask and was surprised that it needs refrigeration, but that just goes to prove that it's all natural stuff. I love that you can buy a small amount to try out and that samples can be made for you to take home before committing to a purchase. I actually walked out of the store spending less than $15 for a small piece of cleanser and a mask. So much better than having to settle for brand name products that aren't nearly as high-quality. I don't think I would ever leave there empty handed. I have a pretty long wishlist to fill already. I'll be back soon! read more

It was my first time at a LUSH store today, although I heard a lot about LUSH a lot from youtubers. The woman I got was very sweet! I wish I got her name, because she did an AMAZING job at helping me find items for my aunts/mother for Christmas. She right away showed me many LUSH items, gave me her favorite kinds and even a catalog to use in the future. She was very informative and down to earth and her kindness/awesome customer service makes me want to come back even more(but I LOVE what LUSH stands for). I can't wait to go back and get the rose recommended items she introduced me to(I believe it was the skin conditioner or something along the lines of that). The new seasonal team are a delight to go to for guidance and suggestions for various treatments. Two girls that transcend above the rest are Kayla C. and Mina! Mina was able to direct me to my favorite product, Plum Rain, and inform me that it will be on hiatus for the holiday and showed me another product to take its place until then. Kayla C. asked me what my favorite products were, and showed me other items that I definitely liked! She was such a sweetheart! So it was my first time being in Lush as a customer instead of someone who was just looking around for something interesting to buy. We were greeted by a male with fabulous nails. He greeted and helped us in the generic way like it was scripted. My mom was looking for shampoos to fix her damaged hair but she didn't want to commit because she was very skeptical about whether or not the products were as good as the worker was saying. She asked him for two samples but he responded saying that Lush did not give out samples. Then he left us to help someone else even though we tried to ask him more questions about the shampoos. Then a second girl saw that we had more questions so she nicely came to help us. We ended up asking her for samples, in which she nicely went to the drawer FULL of EMPTY SAMPLE CONTAINERS and made the samples for us. When we asked for something else, she made it obvious that she did not want to make us samples. Then a THIRD girl came to help us out. I wish I remembered her name... She was so helpful! She told us about all the products we had questions about like the face mask and cleansers. She even let us try out all the products we had questions about. We ended up purchasing all the things we got samples of because she was so helpful! If any Lush workers are reading this, we want samples because we're not sure how our hair or skin will react to the product. We're not trying to rip you off or anything. read more
