During my appointment, the nail technician caused deep rings of fire on 8 of my 10 nails. While I don't believe the damage will be permanent, it will take time for my nails to grow out and recover. I've had my nails done at many different salons over the years, and this has never happened to me before. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this salon.

I sent them a photo and texted to see if I could come back & this is where they really earned the 5+ stars... Vi was apologetic and immediately offered to get me in the next day. Work got away from me and I couldn't make it, but instead of forgetting about it, she actually followed up with me to make sure I came back and got everything fixed. That really impressed me. She got me back in, made the touch-ups I needed, and I left very happy. Great service is one thing, but customer service like that is what makes you come back. Don't come here unless you plan to spend $100+ for a basic manicure that's a drastically different color than you chose.

You may walk by this place and think it's another run-of-the-mill neighborhood nail salon. Not at all. I've been seeing these gals for years. Everyone who works here is great, so you can't go wrong, but Sandy is the PREMIER GAL to see. And Ling is superb! They sometimes get so booked, they have to turn away walk-ins all day long, but that's usually on the weekends. This place doesn't look like an upscale nail salon, but your nails will have you thinking otherwise. Everything is 100% sanitary. The ladies are all perfectionists, so your nails will be beautiful every time you go. They have a large selection of nail polish to choose from and they use only the best top coats and nail strengtheners. They have a very loyal following, so you're best bet is to make an appointment. Although I'm sure walk-ins are no problem mid-week. I think they are Boystown's best kept secret. Oops... I guess the secret is out. read more

I have been going to Lu's for probably 15 yeras... Sandy and Lien are the absolute best ... the attention to detail is outstanding ... I had ingrown toe nails and Sandy worked on them for 2 years and they are now beautiful ... I found Sandy many years ago. She is fantastic. I have gone to other places in a pinch and none measure up to quality and care I get at Lu's Nail Boutique. After those disappointments, Lu's is now the only place I go to get my nails done. Some may consider it to be a bit pricey at $17 for manicure & $36 for pedicure but I tell you they are worth every penny. I highly recommend it. read more

The salon is clean, well-decorated, and comfortable, and they always have funny movies playing for your entertainment. One of the biggest plusses for this place is this awesome service called a Dazzle Dry manicure that air dries in 5 minutes with special polish, chip free for 2 weeks. It even includes a quick shoulder massage. The highlight here and the reason Nail Fairy is such a great place is the STAFF. They're attentive, friendly, and generally very professional, to the point where I came in two days after a manicure with a chipped nail and they fixed it for me then and there, free of charge, and even though I offered to pay them, they very graciously declined. The quality of the manicures here is unparalleled, as well. The technicians really take their time with each client, regardless of how busy they are, and schedule their appointments accordingly. I'd say I always get at least an hour allocated specifically for me, even if all I need is a manicure and it takes less time. And a quick shout out to Amy, my favorite nail technician -- she's a rockstar, and she is very, very nice, even to picky clients like me!
