Jessie is very kind and cleans up my cuticles in a caring fashion. She was very welcoming and kind and I was referred to her from someone. She's not a hop , skip, and a jump from me but I will definitely be going again because of her thoroughness and expertise! read more

Jesse always takes such good care of me! she is phenomenal and listens to exactly what I want. I couldn't recommend this place more!!

I just moved to Chicago and was looking for a new nail salon and I think I hit the jackpot first try! Jessie Nail was great. I went for a walk in gel manicure and the technicians were welcoming and kind, the service was super quick, the pricing was very very reasonable, and they did a great job on my nails! They also remove old gel free of charge and told me to come back if I chipped for a quick fix! Will definitely be returning and would recommend read more

What a great pedicure! It was definitely long; about 1 full hour, but I didnt care. Great calf and foot massage. Lots of color options and for 50.00, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Will be back for sure! read more

Went for the first time today and it was great! The owner and workers are super friendly. I got a no chip mani and regular pedicure and the total was $65 which is great for the city and the lady I had was able to get an in grown toe nail out and during my manicure she gave a 5 minute neck massage that was unbelievable. It's in the basement of the building but they do a good job making the space still feel "spa like". read more

Everything is great nice and relaxing place and the foot massage is awesome feels amazing the massage is everything

Yes, you have to go downstairs to the basement. Yes, they ask that you pay cash if possible... however the fantastic nail artistry that these two ladies provide is unparalleled and rivals the poshest nail places downtown at a very reasonable price.!! So go down the stairs bring your cash and just relax while these ladies take good care of you. I'm a fan and I continue to come here every few weeks to get my nails done. Bravo, ladies bravo!!! read more

Update: Went back to the shop to request a refund, the woman said "I can put acrylic nails for her instead" so magically now that I want my money back her nails, which we were previously told are too short for tips, are now long enough. I told them I wasn't interested and I would like my money back, they replied they were "slow" at the moment and didn't have any cash, come back. I came back the next day to the exact same answer, only this time they offered me a gift card, which of course I was not interested in. I finally returned in the evening, which they told me to do as they would have cash then, and guess what, they "only had $45" I took the money and was glad to be out $20 to simply be done with this shop. Awful service. Awful product. Awful place. My daughter went here for a full set, she initially asked for acrylic but was told her existing nails were too short and she needed the more expensive gel set, 1st red flag. She asked for a very basic red tip manicure, the woman proceeded to paint half the nail red, with no arch to give a French tip look, 2nd red flag. When she was done there was polish all over her cuticle beds and clumps on the side of the nails. The next day, both her thumb nails popped off. I took her back and had them fix them. The entire place smelled horrible and the woman in charge spent most of the time yelling into her phone and not paying attention to what she was doing. They replaced the nails and we left. This morning my daughter texted to say another nail had popped off, I told her to check the rest before we go have them repaired so we don't have to keep going back, EVERY SINGLE NAIL popped right off. I will be returning today to request a full refund of the $65 I paid not 48 hours ago. The cheap glue one from Walgreens look better and last longer. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! read more

Staff had good attitudes, and I appreciate their flexibility with scheduling. Beyond that, my first experience lacks positives. The salon is located in a basement and has no ventilation, so the smell of acrylics becomes overpowering. I asked for a gel overlay manicure, but the builder gel they applied did not add any volume to my nails unlike all other similar manicures I've had. I am not sure the polish they applied on top was gel, because they began chipping an hour after I returned home. There is polish all over the sides of my nails. Manicure took 45 minutes longer than other nail salons. Most concerning is their standards for hygiene. The place itself does not appear well cleaned and they do not use gloves. I suspect they reused metal tools between clients, despite telling me otherwise when I asked. I was provided an unwashed bowl to "soak off the powder" from my filed down gel nails. There was a small dog, likely unfixed, running around the salon and spent the entirety of my almost 2 hour appointment smelling my jacket and later tried to hump me on several occasions. It makes me sad to write this negative review because I enjoyed the team there, but the quality and safety issues are not acceptable. read more

Not the best experience that I've had. I brought in a photo of what I wanted and I was trying to pick colors and the women doing my nails kept telling me the colors I selected were wrong. She insisted on picking colors and ended up being completely off, I let it go because the color wasn't the biggest thing to me. My nails were not cleaned up near my cuticles and the shape is completely off compared to the shape of my nail beds. This has caused my nails to start lifting only a week after getting them done. I have attached photos of the nails as I'm disappointed in how they turned out. You can see in my "French" nails that they are lifting at the bottom since they were not shaped properly. Along with this, all nails are kind of a different shape and I even had to go home and file them myself to get the lumps off. I wouldn't suggest using this place for nails. read more

I came as a walk in and immediately was able to get a regular pedicure and no chip mani. They were patient as picked my colors and didn't rush me at all. The salon vibe is really calming and nice. My pedicure was excellent (including a sea salt leg rub-- in the regular pedicure) and lasted long. No awkward small talk or anyone telling me my nails/feet were awful (as a runner-- I hear that a lot about callouses and chipped nails). My gel mani was amazing. It has been an incredible no chip-- over a week and not a single chip or problem. They were quick about everything, did a great job of fixing my cuticles and making sure everything looked amazing. $35 for the gel mani that lasts so long...? AMAZING PRICES FOR CHICAGO. I have paid more than that for worse manicures. Also the owner and nail tech was so nice-- very kind and not overly chatty. The tools are opened new in package in front of you, so you know it's sanitary. Note: CASH Tips are preferred although they were able to let me tip with my credit card. I didn't know about the cash thing since I was a walk in. But they were very nice about it all and didn't make me feel bad for not having cash on me (there's not an atm there either). Will definitely be coming back very soon! Update: 3rd no chip there after a week! Looks amazing! read more

This place does amazing nails! I've been twice now and both times my nails have turned out near perfect. Tonight my nail technician was so sweet! Prices are very reasonable. Called Jessie Nail around 11, and they were open for me and my roommate to walk in! They are taking great precautions right now during COVID, providing distanced seating for customers, with only a few people doing nails at the moment. Even with less staff, they managed to get me and my friend full, beauty acrylic sets within 2 hours, and with only one talented woman doing them! Our technician was super patient with my requests, and stopped at nothing to make sure I was leaving happy. This experience has been nothing but pleasant, and I got such cute little butterflies for only $5 extra! (not per nail). Having paid yet, but I got a full acrylic set with no chip and it should only be around $50 which is super reasonable. read more

I was in dire need of a manicure as my nails were in pretty rough shape. After my no chip manicure I was extremely pleased with how they turned out. I've been to many places around the city and this is definitely a hidden gem. I am already planning to go back when I'm due for my next pedi and can't wait! They even provided a neck and shoulder massage to boot. The manicurist was thorough, pleasant and skilled. Also they have amazing prices! read more

I mean after spending $105 getting my nails done I would at least expect them to clean my nails along the side no. They had the audacity to catch an attitude when I asked them to straighten out my nail. Like why would you give me a no chip pedicure with a chip in my nail smh come on. Then I tell her numerous of times you're hurting me, you're cutting me she gave me a lot of excuses. Couldn't even clean my nails. Honestly I felt like it was because I'm black. The lady next to me received her Cuticles cut and everything. I'm sitting here with half done polish chipped toes and my middle finger is burning. Well it's a middle finger to you and your business after this treatment. I'm usually big on tipping they definitely don't deserve it. read more

Getting a pedicure as I type. And it is wonderful. I got the salt scrub one ($33). Lots of exfoliating my feet and legs followed by a hot stone leg massage. The massage chairs are the best I've sat in. The rollers don't poke you in all the wrong places. A basic pedicure is a bargain at $25 It is in a great location (Sheffield and Clyborn) but I will warn, the space is nothing fancy. It is down a flight of stairs and my first impression didn't wow me but I'll be back because they did a wonderful job and the leg / chair massage were amazing. read more

I got an almond shape French tip, the customer service was good at first until I asked for them to be shaped properly. each nail was a different shape. when I asked jessie who did them she kept letting out deep signs, and kept on painting and working on the nails. each French tip was different in shape as well. if you're looking for a basic color and shape this is your place anything more I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

Ok I went here to get one nail that broke fixed. I wear acrylic nails. Past 20 plus years. I didn't have time to travel to burbs to my regular spot. Figured a place that specializes in nails would have no problems. Hahahaha!!! NOT THE CASE. So my appointment went fine. My one nail was fixed. Soak off, filed down, tip glued on, primer, and new acrylic. The nail was just ok. No shape what so ever. Was enough to get me through 7 days when my regular appointment was at my regular place. Just went yesterday to regular place. Polish removed from fixed nail at Jessie Salon had revealed mold growing under acrylic on my real nail!!!! Black and disgusting. In 20 years I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN!! My question, what kind of operation are you guys running here? Beware if you go here for acrylic nails!! Lucky for me the mold did not start attaching itself a lot to my real nail and the location of mold was able to be clipped off. Thank god I went 7 days later. Another week, I would have had a bigger problem. VERY GROSS! read more

I was in a pinch and found myself in Lincoln Park looking for someone to jazz up my gel. They did a lovely job! Super reasonably priced. Gel mani was $35, which is great! They also were extremely receptive to minor tweaks that I wanted and happily obliged. I will definitely be back! read more
