Obviously, Lisa and her team did a fantastic job with the landscaping. She presented me with three different design options, worked with me to stay within my budget, and then executed the project exactly as she explained she would. She even moved my project up on the schedule after I mentioned I was planning to sell my house soon, which I really appreciated. What really stood out, though, wasn't just the quality of the work, it was the communication. It was clear, transparent, and consistent before, during, and even after the project. That level of professionalism is surprisingly rare in the home improvement industry. I own a house that was built in 1887, and over the past eight years I've hired countless companies for projects including a new deck, porch, fencing, painting, paver installation, and just about everything else you can think of. One of the most frustrating parts of working with companies in this industry is the lack of organization and communication. They're usually quick to collect the deposit, but after that you're left constantly following up for project start dates, updates, and progress. Working with Lisa was the complete opposite. She was organized, proactive, and always kept me informed. It was honestly refreshing. If you want to roll the dice and deal with the same frustrations I experienced with two other landscaping companies before finding Lisa, go for it. But if you'd rather save yourself the time, stress, and uncertainty, do yourself a favor and call Lisa. I couldn't recommend her more.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend RLG Landscaping based on my experience with our artificial turf…read moreinstallation. We discovered an issue with the installation where the turf base had been built up directly against and underneath our wooden fence. When we later needed to repair the deteriorating bottom of the fence, the fence contractor couldn't perform the work without disturbing the turf and base. I contacted RLG while the turf installation was still within the one-year installation warranty included in our contract. I sent photos and explained the issue. Rick acknowledged that they had installed the turf butted up to the fence and told me he would send a crew that Saturday to address the issue. No one showed up, and I received no call or message. I followed up again afterward and received no response. Problems can happen with any project. What matters to me is how a company handles them. I gave RLG multiple opportunities to address an issue during the warranty period, and they initially agreed to do so. They then missed the appointment and stopped communicating. A written warranty doesn't provide much peace of mind if the company doesn't respond when you need to use it. Based on my experience, I would not use RLG Landscaping again.

One of the biggest selling points for us was the hidden wiring -- it gives such a polished appearance while also making us feel confident the system will be protected for years to come. BEWARE!! I removed a previous 1-star review for this company…read moreafter numerous requests via phone calls and texts from the owner (Carmelo) imploring me to remove the review, as it would negatively impact his business. Camelo stated that "family matters" prevented him from following through and providing the quote and services that were promised during our first phone conversations. As Carmelo appeared sincere in his apology and promise to deliver services as promised, I removed the initial 1-star review because it is not our goal to hurt a business when it is not warranted. After speaking further with Carmelo, my husband and I agreed to the terms of the scope of services after Carmelo changed the contract to reflect 50% payment at the time of service and balance due after completion of the work. It should be noted that in the inital contract Camelo was asking for an unheard of 90% deposit before scheduling a date to start service and the balance due upon completion! We agreed that Carmelo would come out to our home on today's date (06 Apr 24) at 10:00 AM to survey the work area, sign contract and receive deposit. It is now 12:00 PM and we have not heard from Carmelo. I rearranged my own work schedule to accommodate this appointment and Camelo did not respect my time and once again failed to follow through on the agreed date and time of our appointment. This company appears to be a scam of some sort, particularly given the unreasonable deposit that they are requesting before work is even scheduled (90%) and the blatant failure to follow-up with any appointments that Carmelo and his company makes with potential clients. I will not remove this review under any circumstances or requests made by Carmelo because it speaks the truth and I WARN any potential clients to expect nothing but fake promises.
