Oh this place has it all! From the adorable atmosphere and great customer service, to the outstanding ice cream and baked goods! Their cupcakes were PERFECTION... not too sweet, just right! The ice cream was delicious! I also have to hand it to the young lady behind the counter... we witnessed a customer being completely dumb, and this girl handled the situation very well and with grace. The customer was complaining that she was allergic to almonds and the girl told her it had nuts in it and she was blaming her because she didn't say almonds.... (Insert eye roll and "are you dumb?" Today, we visited Luliet or the first time. We had an awesome experience. We got vanilla bean, strawberry and coffee ice cream. All were so delicious. Also, we also ordered some cupcakes strawberry and Italian cream. My favorite was strawberry! I could not resist some alfajors and were super moist and the right amount of dulce de leche. If you want to eat something sweet to calm your nerves, have anyone of their desserts. I was there and tried the ice cream, the macaroons and some other pastry, as every place in Houston, very disappointing. The culinary schools probably have teachers who do not know about culinary arts. The owners put together a cute little cafe, but unfortunately, nothing great is made there. I may have high standards, but it is hard for me to imagine someone eating below standard pastries. Desserts should be good to say the least. read more

We have ordered custom cake from this establishment when they first opened based on our friend's recommendation because the owner lives in the same neighborhood as my friend. The cake was ok and decoration was beautiful. Our experience was not welcoming and no one greeted us, and in fact, they told us to look at their Facebook to pick the kind of decorations, the owner clearly heard our questions and all, but she refused to come out. We didn't write any review then because we thought perhaps they are new and over time, with experience and training, they will do better. The next time we went in to try their ice cream, again, no greeting and unfriendly staff. This last time we went in and placed a rather big order for teachers day and a birthday. We've just have had it as there were probably 5-6 people staffs (including the owner), and no customers. No one greeted us, the lady at the counter couldn't even bother telling us what were some of the flavors that was not being labeled. We pick a variety and left. As much as we want to support small business, this is not the way to treat your customers. This establishment is unfriendly and arrogant. read more

I absolutely love this place!! I have never been a fan of macaroons but after trying theirs, I am truly addicted. I come about 2x a week just to pick up a few flavors, especially the strawberry ones, they have so much flavor. Out of all things to recommend here though, the Raspberry Cheesecake ice cream and the Earl Grey Blackberry ice cream are definitely worth getting. This review is long overdue since I've already been to Luliet a couple times. I am so happy we have this little gem in our neighborhood! Nelia, the owner, and her staff are so friendly and welcoming. We hosted a small holiday event there with some neighbors and the staff was so accommodating. They had the most delicious hot cocoa waiting for us and the treats are some of the best we've ever had! The fresh ice creams, the macarons, the cookies...the list goes on..are all carefully crafted. It's easy to see the passion they have in using the best ingredients. First off, the ice cream is amazing. That's a lot coming from me cuz I'm not even a big fan of ice cream. It's creamy, decadent and they have a lot of great flavors (peach pie, oreo, flan, snickerdoodle, etc). They also have a varied selection of cookies, cupcakes and the like. Their carrot cake cupcake was really good once you scraped off the slightly hardened icing. The cream cheese icing was perfect - not too sweet and it actually tasted like cream cheese icing instead of pure sugar. The cake was moist to the point of almost falling apart and tasted great. My only disappointment was the macarons. They have the biggest variety I've seen with all kinds of flavors I couldn't wait to try! Unfortunately, they were just kinda average and the filling was a little too sweet and trust me, I love sweet. The two stand out flavors were the white chocolate raspberry and the pineapple upside down cake. The flavors were good and stood out where you could tell exactly which flavor was which, but I wouldn't come back for the macarons. read more

I got the honey lavender ice cream , it is heavenly. Little too much honey but that's a good problem. I also shared a lavender macaroon with my mom, it was amazing the outside of it was perfect it was light, fluffy, and delicious then the filling was amazing added a nice bit of creamy texture to it. I finally got to try Luliets after always seeing their pictures and menu on Facebook. I was super excited to try because the pictures looked so good! They post the menu online the same day because I guess it changes daily. I had wanted to get pineapple upside down and lemon blueberry because that's what the fb menu said but I got there and they didn't have either (and it was around 1 pm on a Thursday) so I didn't think they would be sold out. Anyway , left with a birthday cake cupcake and strawberry. I wasn't too impressed. The icing was lacking flavor and the strawberry was really underwhelming and I didn't taste any strawberry. It was truly exactly how i love ice cream to be. I was in the mood for cupcakes and ice cream so i ordered a carrot cake cupcake to go along with my coconut with almonds ice cream. I was taking a bite of each at the same time and it was AMAZING! I almost wish they offered an option where they came together! Love this bakery!! Everything is so delicious from the cupcakes to the ice cream... SO creamy. The macarons are to die for and make my husband so happy because they're naturally gluten free! Every time he eats one he says "man, these things are legit!" They're my favorite treat as well; the perfect puffiness with just the right amount of crunch and cream.
