Cute coffee/donut/kolache shop in spring. The storefront is adorable. The team seems to be a family unit and they work so well together! Lots of different kolache options and their matcha latte was amazing! Pricing was good as well. This is a great spot to feed the team after a big game or a work from home spot for a quick coffee and some studying. It's not huge inside but they do have several chairs and sitting areas. Incredible selection and incredible flavors! You'll find the usual suspects like bacon and egg kolaches as well as exciting options like brisket kolaches or butter chicken kolaches, even Philly cheesesteak kolaches. The doughnuts are delicious, try the kronut, it's like a cross between a flakey croissant and a glazed doughnut. The staff is always fast and friendly. Generally iceberg lived this paver at other locations. Yesterday expecting ordering Uber eats was subpar. Half of my order was missing but the bag looked to not have been opened so I don't think it was the driver's fault. I added a note to please make sure that the donut holes and donuts were extra warm and they were cold as if they had not been warmed at all. I added a note for hot sauce to go with my kolaches that I didn't get. Lastly or if the one kolache i did get it was aroused to have chorizo which was hard to fondness or taste. Had my favorite spicy sausage cheese jalapeno kolache here because they really use a sausage and jalapenos instead of a jalapeno flavored weiner. But this morning there was only one server working and she had to placate the guest in front of me who was sharing photos of his new cat. Was in town and wanted some good Kalache before leaving the state; got to try out this place and man it was so good! Brisket:10/10 it was juicy, the perfect amount of sauce in there. Was kinda sad that there was only one and we couldn't take it back home Jumbo sausage and cheese: 10/10 very very yummy! The bread was soft and melt in your mouth! First of all, the owners make this place great. They are so friendly and nice and they will customize and make coffee drinks based on however you feel that day. They have a wide assortment of kolaches unlike the boring chains. Even some halal ones like buffalo chicken, butter, chicken, Philly cheese steak which are fantastic. They also make a cronut which is rare and good. And they have this whole line of frozen coffees that they blend so perfectly that I haven't found anything like it at any chains. Just the perfect blend. Nice coffee punch and not too sweet. Lastly, the atmosphere. Beautiful decoration. Completely clean ambiance and it's like a model home open house feel. read more

There are some things in life that are worth going exceptionally out of your way to experience. Karma Kolache is one of them I spent 30 years in Texas and have had kolaches from every type of outlet imaginable - From the classic stalwarts, to the chains, to the mom and pop shops that abound in strip centers across the state. Karma Kolache comes in right at the top of the list. Since moving to the northeast, I have found that there isn't a quality kolache to be found. Actually, you can barely find someone who know what a kolache is. So, on those occasions that I venture back to Texas for work, I make it a mission to grab some kolaches and bring them home. My most recent visit to Houston was going to be quick - fly in for an evening event and take the 9 flight out the following morning. When my wife asked about my itinerary, she raised the eyebrow and asked, will you be able to pick up kolaches? Needless to say - I rebooked on the nook flight so I could drive across town to Karma I was up before dawn, threw my bags in the rental and drove west to this Mecca of baked deliciousness. 20 minutes in the opposite direction form IAH but it was worth it, as always. Spicy boudin. "The Real" spicy sausage and cheese. Must haves. Packed a dozen to go. And of course, two individual services that were devoured in the parking lot. The service is friendly. The quality is outstanding. The lines were non-existent. I'm hesitant to post so as to not share this treasure. Bit, it's my civic duty to highlight outstanding local establishments and Karma is definitely one. Next time your in Houston, or if you live here, drive on out. There's many other kolache places in Houston but one of the nice things about this place is they stay open a little longer. We came here in the late afternoon before our flight back home. We wanted to buy their cronuts but they ran out so we got their cronut holes instead. Super glad we did because the cronut holes are better. You get the nice texture and taste from a cronut without the extreme flakiness from a full sized cronut. Workers are nice and fast! Highly recommend this place if you just want to try a kolache or cronut holes and are strapped on time. read more

My absolute favorite kolaches in the city and what makes it even better is that they have halal meat! I have enjoyed lots of different types of kolaches including of including the potato and egg, the egg and cheese, and even a macaroni and cheese one... I think their old fashioned donut with the chocolate on top is the best in town because it just melts in your mouth. The iced coffees are delicious as well. Lots of different flavors and great ice too. Any time I'm in the area I have to get at least a half dozen of the kolaches to last me a day or two! read more

We have ordered from Karma multiple times, and thus far have really liked all of the kolaches we have tried (surprisingly plain ol' sausage & jalapeno is my husband's favorite), but have not been terribly impressed with the doughnuts, which are not nearly as soft and fresh-tasting as the kolaches. I've tried this place a few times since it went in, and each time I go in with the attitude that I'm going to like it. But the rolls never live up to the expectation. The place is fantastic inside. The smells and sights of all the rolls look great and smell great. Service is always amazing: friendly workers, helpful food information shared, and decent prices. However, the rolls neither match the great bakery ambiance that is exhibited nor the fantastic aroma of the rolls that can't be ignored. First, they're filled yeast rolls, with emphasis on the rolls because the majority of what you'll get in each bite is mostly rolls. The rolls themselves are great tasting (this is what boosted the score on my rating). But none of the fillings have been anything but bland and dry. Even with those with "gravy" "sauce" or "cheese" - finding those ingredients inside will be a challenge. I've also tried the other pastries and there are some that at least are ok, but none make me want to add this place to one I would regularly go back to. If you're just looking for a quick something to eat for breakfast, it would be acceptable if you're in a rush, but I would recommend driving the 1-3 miles either direction and go to a fast food place or the donut place at Spring Cypress and old Louetta Road. read more

A surprising find for a tourist like me, this small Cambodian run chain offers fresh made donuts, decadent lattes and of course, their namesake Kolaches. There's a lot that doesn't add up here, but luckily it's a good thing. In terms of service, there really isn't much to complain about. Communication requires a bit of patience, but the staff are friendly and open to questions. We stayed back for a good 10-15 minutes to chat and they were happy to sit with us. A friend also had an allergy they were more than happy to accommodate. Now on to the food, this is where it got weird for me. When I think Kolaches, I think pigs in blankets. So when I heard them offer halal, I was perplexed. However, a Kolache is essentially just a filled pastry and so they're able to offer multiple options to us Muslim eaters. The manager/owner said she personally made sure that not only was the Philly cheesesteak halal, but also the butter chicken and buffalo too. Of the 3, my favorite was definitely the Philly, followed close by the Buffalo and then a distant relative, once (not twice) removed was the butter chicken. Still, with a drink in hand and a Kolache in the same, I was happy. Through and through, anyone willing to offer halal options to include me and people like me get my respect. I'm happy to report that many eateries around Houston have taken that mantle, and I personally want to try them all. With it be all or one, I definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

I had a brisket and spicy "real" sausage kolache...and since I had a free donut offer, I chose a sugar donut Everything tasted pretty good, even though its nothing special...I've had similar tasting ones many times before. This place reminds me of a Kolache Shoppe where they have so many to choose from, it sorta makes u wanna pick many different ones just to try and find a favorite...good marketing tactic. read more

Cronut!! Get you some! Eat it warm and fresh, and just try to eat just one! I eat it by the layer. It's not just super yummy, it's a "fun to play with your food" item. Most of their donuts are also good. I like the flavor or their plain glazed. It's really good. I like it over the others. But my husband likes the chocolate glazed and blueberry cake. We've tried a few of their unique kolache flavors and I have mixed feelings about some. I think the sausage gravy is good but seems soggy in the middle. I think it's worth you trying it though. The texture thing is probably just me. I think I need to try it freshly made. Maybe after it sits a while the gravy soaks into the dough and feels underbaked. I think lots of these unique flavors would be best fresh from the oven. We like the boudin and potato and egg best. Scalloped potato is also good. I also like the eggs/cheese/grits when its fresh. It could use some salt and pepper as grits are very bland. I open it up and add it myself. I'd say it's best to get here really early and eat right away. Letting them sit and warning up later just isn't the same, especially with the specialty ones. Same with the donuts. But that's everywhere. The cronut does not last. Eat it fresh. It does get greasy when trying to warm it up next day, so eat up! All in all, good stuff! read more

So I was craving kolaches on thanksgiving day and this place near my house just happened to be open. Yay! As soon as you walk in you're presented a display with the most yummiest looking pastries and kolaches. The worker who was working there was the Asian girl who was super sweet and helped us decide what to get. I opted for the big kolache(can't remember the name) and my boyfriend got the Bavarian Creme pastry & sausage and cheese kolache. As for drinks we got the iced americano and iced green tea latte. Both were very good and very reasonably priced. I'm so glad we discovered this place! It was a very wholesome and satisfying experience. I heard about this place so long ago and never had he chance to try. Finally picked up some kolaches to go and realized what I've been missing out on!! These kolaches are so delicious! The bread has a hint of sweetness and they definitely don't skimp on the filling! Each one is packed with flavor, and I love that they have halal options! We went there under the impression that only the philly was halal, but they've also got butter chicken and buffalo chicken. I wasn't a huge fan of the butter chicken. Definitely had a mixed bag of results with this breakfast. I'll start off by saying that most their kolaches were really good. The Egg/Cheese, Philly Cheesesteak, and Brisket were all delicious, while the Spicy Sausage and Cheese was pretty decent. The downsides to the meal were related to the donut and croissant sandwich. I ordered a Chocolate Iced donut, but ended up with a Chocolate Iced w/ Sprinkles. Not the end of the world, but still not what I asked for. The Egg and Cheese Croissant sandwich though was very disappointing. The sandwich came with two cold slices of cheese that hadn't been melted on in any way. I ended up having to toast it myself just so the entire sandwich warmed up and the cheese was easier to eat (and like a typical breakfast sandwich).
