This place has been on my list for a while and I finally made it. It's a quaint little diner style coffee shop that is no frills, no fuss. The coffee is good (that should be the main reason for any coffee shop) and there is isn't any desks with people working on laptops. We had the coffee and a chai which by the way, they make their own house blend of cashew almond milk (no store cartons here) It's a pretty small place with friendly staff and a good cuppa. Done deal read more

This place is overpriced and pretentious. I'm lactose intolerant and had to get the cashew walnut milk (which was an extra dollar!) which made my beverage well over $5 (it might have even hit the $6 range). I was desperate for caffeine and thought I'd give this place a try, but it just isn't worth the price. There is no wifi and very limited seating. If you like pricey and pretentious, this place might be up your alley, but it was certainly the most expensive coffee beverage I've ever had and absolutely not worth the price. read more

An awesome coffee shop, with lots of natural light coming in and a super nice barista. They make their own cashew walnut milk which I ordered to make a latte. It was quick and a nice start to my day. There are a few pastries and cookies for purchase and coffee by the pound. read more

This may be my new favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood (sorry, Hooked on Colfax). They do a great job of selecting more obscure beans to make really good coffee. So far I've noticed beans from Middle State (a tiny roaster in Denver that only serves a few shops so far, but deserves to serve more) and Onyx (a roaster from Arkansas which was excellent). As a bonus, it only took a couple visits for them to start recognizing me and my preferred drink. I wouldn't come here to study or linger since it's so small (only a couple tables and a window counter), but for to go coffee or meeting a friend, it's a perfect spot. read more

I'm a Montrealer and every time I visit Denver I always make as many trips to Lula Rose as possible. The coffee is always on point and the staff is great. read more

It doesn't get much cuter than this shop off Colfax! Fresh flowers and coffee, what's not to love? This place has limited seating and doesn't have Wi-Fi, so if you're looking for a place to get work done or bring a group, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a quaint place to read a book and watch a storm roll through (like me) or a place to meet a friend for a quick cup of coffee, this is your place! I absolutely enjoyed my time there. The service was friendly and fast. My latte was up to par. The place is decorated with jars of fresh flowers. It's a dream. I saw that they also offer flower arrangement classes. How fun! read more

Oliver is incredibly talented as a barista. My husband and I frequent this place on weekends and he is always prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. I appreciate that he has built (literally) this coffee shop himself and is great at recognizing regulars. Stop in for one of the best lattes in the city and enjoy the quaint atmosphere. read more

We were staying nearby this coffee shop for a couple of days while in Denver and loved it! Not many "general store" items are sold here other than some fresh and dried flowers, but they can call it whatever they like. This place is charming and quaint, but SMALL. Not a place to do work or hang for more than 15 minutes to finish your coffee and food. We tried their brewed coffee, cortado, chai, and latte. All were great! They make their own non-dairy milk too, cashew almond milk, but its their only ND alternative. They also have a variety of pastries and toasts, we tried the grilled cheese with a soft egg, was really good! read more

The coffee is very good. Not bitter at all, but served too hot. We had the Dio Mio and the Biscuit Sandwich. The Dio Mio was delicious. The biscuit sandwich was good but very difficult to eat, and the biscuit was a little dry. The space is very welcoming and bright with many windows. Would recommend coming here for a coffee. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. Sometimes the prospect of a Lula Rose breakfast sandwich with whole grain mustard and fresh jam is the only thing carrying me through a long overnight shift. The delicious, thick-cut crusty bread, over easy egg and unique combo of strong mustard and jam on the side are drool-worthy. Lattes are of equally impressive quality. As for decor - this place couldn't get any more charmingly hipster if it tried. It's got an instagram-worthy vintage-looking exterior, pink espresso machine, plants everywhere (as they are affiliated with the plant store a few blocks down Colfax); there is no Wi-FI (and I think there's a sign that asks you to talk to humans as an alternative) and it took me almost a year to figure out this place had a name since it's no where to be found on the outside of the shop. Love. This. Place. read more

Unreal. Thought I'd give the small neighborhood coffee shop some business. Didn't realize I'd be out $8 after 2 8oz cups of drip coffee and a small blueberry muffin. That doesn't include tip. I was charged another $1 after asking for a refill of my 8 oz original. Oh yeah, no WiFi available either. read more

My friend and I were making a quick stop for breakfast before heading out to hike, and the giant "coffee" sign + the adorable retro look made us pop in for a drink on our way out of town. We were pleasantly surprised to get a latte that TASTED LIKE A LATTE! Also the vibe was lovely. Great quick service and friendly baristas. Wish I lived here so it could be my daily stop. read more

Coffee taste nasty! Service is great. Breakfast burritos for 8$. Seriously undrinkable coffee

So I wanna give this place 4 stars because it's honestly not a general store...it's a small coffee shop with a small menu and minimal food items and a few bottles of topo chico in the fridge and siracha on the shelves...that being said, they make the BEST iced oat milk latte in town. The crushed ice is so refreshing and I don't know what kind of voodoo magic they do to that oat milk but it's, um, very very good. I don't usually like oat milk and that latte is seriously bomb. Go get it. read more

It's so fresh and so clean in here that you walk out smelling better than you walked in. The coffee is top notch and made with care but not with some Portlandia ridiculous attitude. Fred Nietzsche works in here but he doesn't act like a big deal meme writer--just a regular guy. The coffee is so good. It feels like another country like Spain or Vancouver. They don't ask you to contribute a lot and you can just come in at 2:15, drink your coffee in silence and leave like the undiscovered genius that you are. It's kind of like pumping you gas at the robot "no human contact" pump. It's way better. read more

Lula Rose General Store - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Fantastic hand crafted coffee beverages and more. Cool spot, great ambience, fun crew, and they pour a fantastic Cortado ! If you appreciate a coffee with attention to quality this is your spot. read more

This may be the best coffee shop I've ever been to, much better than Starbucks, but the bagels were very stale. Go for the coffee, and chai. We recommend this place if you are willing to spend some cash for good coffee, just avoid the bagels. read more

One of my favorite neighborhood spots! Strong coffee, delicious food, friendly staff, cool decor. Their green burrito is amazing, but the last time I got it there was hardly any of the salsa or kewpie mayo I've come to love. I also miss the bigger food menu they had pre-covid, but that's understandable given how small the space is. They will also surprise with local goodies for sale--I've seen bread, pastries, eggs, pickled veggies, and more! read more

Coffee shop is very aesthetically pleasing but very small. My friend and I both got cortados and they were good, but not the best. Baristas there were very friendly - I would come again! read more

My friend and I will sometimes stop here on our way to work on Fridays to treat ourselves. AMAZING coffee and love the oat milk. I also have tried the bran muffin which is delicious and very filling. Love this place. A great cup of coffee to start the day makes all the difference! read more

Great coffee in a cute little shop! The cold brew is so delicious and my sons hot cocoa was so good I had to order a mocha for the first time in ages. Dangerous for sure. read more

Hands down the best espresso...it's simple, good people, good intentions, bomb coffee (food too). Want local? Lula Rose is the culture we all want in a local shop...thank you amigos for keeping it real. read more

Very underwhelming. If you're coming here because you read or heard this is the place to go for coffee in Denver skip it. They only allow one person in at a time. No flavors for coffee. No sweetener. And the store basically has nothing. read more

What a great addition to the neighborhood. The coffee is fantastic and the service is even better.

My lady and I ordered a Chai Tea and a Mocha respectively. They were both delicious. I being cursed with clumsiness from a very young age managed to knock over our Chai Tea. I began cleaning the mess but the gentleman ran over and said not to worry about, he even replaced the Chai tea for free despite offering to buy a new one. Exceptional customer service. They were all very nice and welcoming. Oh and their coffee? Delicious! read more

Love this place Owner run by someone young, ambitious, understands quality coffee and above all cares about his customers. This spot is small and super nice Great coffee, delicious pastries from the pastry chef at thump (blueberry lavender muffins are delicious) Very kid friendly! When the weather is nice we roll the whole family in on the patio This neighborhood was really in need of a quality coffee shop Thanks for opening! read more

I don't usually write reviews but after the service I received yesterday, I still feel compelled to share how terrible my experience was. I absolutely do not recommend this place. There are so many cute, less pretentious, and less expensive LOCAL coffee shops all around Denver, including within walking distance of this snotty shop. No need to waste your money here. I live in the neighborhood and visited the coffee shop on more than one occasion. Their coffee is delicious, although more expensive than similar shops around town. I didn't mind the extra spending for a fun, cute, and local shop. After yesterday, I will support other local businesses and will not return. I spoke to the barista about their lack of wifi when I first visited the coffee shop over a year ago. He let me know that the coffee shop wanted to promote a classic coffee shop feel and not encourage people to just sit on their computers for hours at a time. I thought it was a neat idea and appreciated the conversation. Thereafter, I went to the shop when meeting colleagues and friends. It is a nice, quiet place to chat. Yesterday, ALL THREE baristas were pretentious AF and COMPLETELY ignored me aside from taking my order and $13 dollars FOR TWO DRINKS (tip included). Oh and what made it even better ...while giving me my order, the barista was checking his social media ON HIS PHONE... There were only three other customers, and two were engaged in a conversation with either other. It was clear none of the baristas cared about their customer service or lack thereof. I am not one to chat up the service workers because I do not feel the need to talk to every person I come across. But my experience left me feeling incredibly awkward and like I was an inconvenience to buy coffee from a coffee shop. If I wanted to have such a pretentious, aloof experience I would have gone to Aviano - at least their coffee is better. read more

Great spot to pop in for a quick quality coffee right in Colfax. The coffee is a touch bitter for me, this the four star. The best part about Lula Rose is that it doesn't try to be anything more than it is. To the point, clean, and simple. Thumbs up! read more

Wonderful staff, amazing cinnamon toast on the weekends. Best espresso in the city and couldn't appreciate more the intention and care the team out into every cup. read more

I really want to love it, but I feel like their espresso always tastes peculiar-- too nutty... like way too nutty. Maybe I just don't have a sophisticated sense of taste? I think the coffee tastes pretty normal though. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous though, and the people that work there are very nice. read more

My coffee was not hot. Not even close. It was lukewarm at most. Yuck. And the biggest size latte they have is 12 oz. Too many other shops to choose from to pay for a little lukewarm latte. read more

Love these guys and there shop! I was in the coffee industry for over ten years and man do these people know great coffee. The service is personable, friendly, and I always look forward to going in. I love there drip coffee and cortados but their lattes always look gorgeous too! They just know their stuff! read more

If quaint is your preference then look no further than Lula Rose. This little coffee shop has all the charm you can pack into about 300 sq ft. There is a lot to love here, and it starts with the coffee. I'm a straight "bean-water" drinker who needs no frills in my black coffee, and I have always loved my choices here: iced coffee, espresso, drip, cortados...it's all gravy, baby! Sometimes, you can even find fresh flowers for sale inside here and that alone should make your heart melt while you wait for your soy, nonfat, iced, caramel, macchiato, with 2.5 pumps, stirred to your delight. :-) read more

Great to see this place picking up steam with locals. Terrific uncluttered space with superior quality and real non-chain personal service. My new go to for an amazing "locally sourced" perfectly poured coffee or tea without the hipster snobbery. In house flavors, local roasts and crafted teas in a clean cool modern laid back euro feeling place without fliers, tent cards and the typical crap littering most S-bucks and other beige bland P-bread wannabes. A far cry from the lines of weekend visitors waiting for their slathered carb bomb breakfast a block up Colfax. Keep it as is - love it! read more

Super inconspicuous, but constantly feels like there's a line - Lula Rose is hands down a gem in the Denver coffee scene. I walked out for the 10th time and seriously, said aloud, "Holy shit. This is so good." To the staff working at 11:50 am on Sunday, November 24th who made me my cup of half sweetened iced vanilla latte. Thank you! read more

Lula Rose is the cutest new coffee shop to hit Congress Park! I think it just opened in the last week or so and I'm so glad it did! I drove past it the other day after getting groceries at Sprouts and had to go in. The vibe is awesome with awesome aesthetics... white subway tiles, funky cement floors, quaint wooden tables, and completely windowed walls. Super light, bright, clean, and charming. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the owner super helpful and nice. I live in the neighborhood and look forward to walking down here to get a cup of joe, and read or get some work done. read more

Great little neighborhood spot for the daily java fix! Expertly made coffee, friendly barista, and nice atmosphere for a place so small. Also, I'm impressed that they don't charge extra for soy milk, something with irritates me to no end at other coffee joints in town. Bravo! read more

Charming, quaint, utterly delightful. This small, cozy cafe boasts some of the best espresso drinks in town. Delicious pastries, homemade nut milk, and coffee for all palates served by neighborly baristas who really take pride in what they do. Seating is sparse but close - the focus of this shop is really on the product and the old time-y farmhouse general store. You'll see wood shelves with glass preserving jars filled with goodies, and on the weekends you can pick up one of their flower arrangements. It's everything you could want in a neighborhood coffee shop. read more

Lula Rose General Store - The ultra talented baristas make flower arrangements that are as good as their coffee! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Denver. I usually get the drip coffee because it is well made and flavorful just by itself. I love that it is locally owned and operated and I cannot say enough about the guys that run this shop. Each one of them is smart, fun and a good conversationalist. They bake their own bread and pastries, which just takes it to another level for me. I feel like I'm back in Europe every time I stop by. Highly recommend and grateful that this spot is on my way to work!! read more
