Luigi's is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant with excellent food in large portions. It's by far my favorite Italian in Bartlesville. The pasta is fresh and ingredients are high quality. We've enjoyed the Chicken Cacciatore (chicken breasts in tomato broth with onions, green peppers, and mushrooms) and Jeffrey's Special Dinner (yummy thick marinara with meatballs and sausage). Their lasagna is to die for, and other pastas are very flavorful. Each meal comes with a small salad. Their house dressing is tangy tomato based dressing, very unique and excellent. Meals are served with white rolls. The interior of the restaurant is simple and nothing fancy. They have just re-done the inside with new chairs and tablecloths, and it looks much better. There are a few dishes here that I am obsessed with. The Stromboli at lunch is my favorite. It is the same size as the dinner Stromboli (as big as a football), but it's a dollar cheaper. It's definitely food coma-causing, but oh-so-worth-it. I also really liked the Lobster Ravioli when I started going about two years ago, but I think they changed their recipe and/or ravioli source. It's still pretty good, but not quite the excellent quality that it once was. I love the rolls! Sometimes I get a pasta dish with the Alfredo/marinara mixed sauce just to have a dipping medium for a few rolls. hum drum... Really had higher hopes for Luigi's, but just came away knowing that I would never need to have this restaurant as a possibility again. I would have been happier having SpagettiO's in my hotel room. The pasta was greasy and somehow smelled like spoiled fish. Really nauseating and made for a really awkward meal where my friend and I just stared at each other wondering why we kept trying to eat it. I think we ate all the bread because we were desperately trying to drown out the taste. When we had obviously given up the waiter asked if we needed boxes. I believe I laughed pretty loudly. He didn't react well to that. Ok, follow up "Oh no! It will stink up my hotel refrigerator." Yup, not any better. Well, t I don't have no show my face in here again. At least the decor was amusing. Server starts you off with a basket of a garlic rolls, that were ok. Slightly dry but good to wipe along your sauce of your meal. The Italian salad dressing is not what you expect. Mixed with a marinara sauce it seems. Different, wife would not order that dressing again. Salad was fresh, lettuce very crisp and onions had good bite. Ordered the chicken Pomodoro, noodles a bit more cooked than I like (penne was splitting easy in half). Still, very hot and chicken was cut and in the sauce. Wife ordered the chicken piccata, it was alright in her words. Better once the lemon juice was squeezed on it. Luigi's is a family-friendly Italian joint that's kind of a dive. The place is usually packed though, and the food passes the test. The dishes didn't seem clean like authentic Italian should be, but they sure were hearty like we Americans like 'em. We arrived at 8:30pm. The hours on the door clearly state that they are open until 9:30.It was a Tuesday night. As we drove up, the waitstaff clearly were clearly more eager to enter the seventh circle of hell than to treat us as proper guests of their establishment. They were already vacuuming the welcome mat and had already removed it once we reached the door. I don't think we got a single smile the entire night. Even the "hostess" wasn't welcoming, but merely seated us at the closest table. That should have been our cue to leave. All employees were very busy cleaning up the restaurant for the night. The food was ok. The waitstaff grudgingly took our order and trudged about in a moribund trance. Not recommended. We are visiting from Texas and are left with a bad taste in our mouth of Bartlesville, OK. read more

Whenever I am here in the area for work, my coworkers and I would come here at least once during the week for dinner. I love their pasta dishes. My favorite is the Shrimp Alvino. The staff are friendly and the service is great. Also, prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back here if I am ever back in that area for work. read more

Best Italian restaurant in Bartlesville!! We ordered the Spinach Ravioli and the Manicotti and both came with Salads and Rolls. Also, ordered the Grilled Salmon Toscana which was two medium sized filets and an unknown pasta with Alfredo Sauce on the side, Roll and Salad. All three meals prepared to perfection. Excellent service. Best thing about Luigi's compared to the big, well-known Italian restaurant chain is that the portions are a more reasonable size (smaller) with a lower price point. Having said that, they serve plenty - you won't go hungry and may take home lunch for tomorrow. read more

I was in Bartlesville for work and this place was right next to the hotel I was staying. And I had Luigi's three times in those two weeks. This was my 3rd trip here. I had the Tortellini mondo mio with chicken. It would have been better without the chicken, unless they start using fresh chicken. The meat tasted like it had been frozen and reheated several times. Not very good. The rest of the dish was delicious though. read more

We were in town with my son's baseball team and their families and coaches - about 30 of us. They were able to accommodate us in their back room on short notice. Serving a large group can prove challenging. However, they took great care of us and we got bread, drinks, salads pizzas for the boys and entrees in good time. Entree portions could be smaller and still one would have too much food for one meal. The marinara is consistent, flavorful, and full-bodied with just-right combination of sweet and tangy. The spinach ravioli lack spinach flavor. The salad could be composed of torn rather than cut greens--it would look better--and a bit of fresh tomato on the plate. The limoncello slice has become disappointingly smaller and no longer is finished with the fresh berries which made it extra-special. The house wines are pleasant and don't argue with the food. The greatest improvement this restaurant should undertake is serving Italian bread! The rolls are a dough-y, tasteless disappointment and do not do justice to the food. read more

I used to love the stromboli, but today I had it and the onions and bell peppers were soggy and the stromboli itself just tasted kind of average. I've lived all over the country, and although I'm no food critic, I've eaten at more Italian restaurants than I can remember. I know what I like, and Luigi's rocks! Don't let the humble exterior fool you. This IS Bartlesville, and one would be hard pressed to find an establishment of any kind that could take a picture from the outside that would grace a magazine cover. Once inside, one could almost imagine they're not in Bartlesville anymore. I've never been to Italy, but it's easy to imagine I'm eating someplace far more exotic than Bartlesville, OK. I think the decor is calming, and it provides a tasteful escape from what is typical in this part of the country. As for the food, I understand the chef learned to cook from his mother. In Sicily. What more can I say than that? I tend to order my favorite thing on the menu at most restaurants, and I usually wind up in a rut. Not here. My favorite dish is always the one I tasted last; it makes the ordering process somewhat problematic. It's a good problem to have. Very good. If you haven't been to Luigi's, you don't know what you're missing. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is always friendly, and the owners are some of the nicest people I know. We were there last night. Saw a patron with a hair in one of his meatballs. We both had samplers and the plate was drowned in sauce. The lasagna was mushy and all was tasteless. Go somewhere else. i don't remember if i have rated this restaurant. it gets quite a few good ratings by people. i want to say that people who say things like best italian they ever had don't know their italian food & how REAL authentic italian restaurants operate. 1st of all as i don't work in their kitchen i can't say how much of their food is purchased premade & then just warmed up or put together. unless they've changed things for example their meatballs are just bought from somewheres & heated up. 2nd most italian restaurants offer all you can eat or large salad portions with your meal & i'm not referring to olive garden. i'm talking about real authentic italian restaurants. this restaurant gives you tiny little portions of bagged salad with 1 black olive a smidgeon of shredded cheese you can eat in 1 forkful. as a matter of fact i recently got a take out just to see if this restaurant improved any since the pandemic started & instead saw that they actually give you even less salad if you can call it that. the rolls used to be i thought garlic type rolls & were large. instead i got undercooked flat rolls that were dry with no seasoning on them at all. they like most restaurants have raised their prices giving you less. i used to get 3 manicotti & now in my take out was only 2. so if you rave about their food be aware you are not getting totally homemade authentic italian food. you are getting in a lot of their dishes premade stuff that is warmed up. if you just want to fill your stomach well that's what you will get. its nothing memorable. i have been to italian restaurants all over the US & if you compare luigis to anywhere else it doesn't fair very well. they also gave me blue cheese dressing which i poured on my take out salad when i ordered ranch then couldn't eat my salad. i don't think i will be back. read more
