How did we not know about this place? We ordered the Meatball sub and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, usually messy at most places. Not here, served open face and cut into sections so you could eat it like a pizza, with perfectly broiled bread, shaved steak and slicesd meatballs. Not drowning in sauce either, delish! And they serve great fresh salads so you get your veggies whether you want them or not! And great rolls with rosemary or something. Will have to try the pasta next time. Service was marginal. Food was pretty good. Ordered a salad with no onions and they rang it in as extra onions. When they brought it out, I told the server that and they didn't offer to make another one, just an "oh sorry". Then they charged me an extra dollar for the onions. I tired luigis for the first time yesterday with my mother. We went in for lunch and I'd say we will definitely be returning. Our waiter Tarell ( hopefully I got the spelling right lol) was awesome and took great care of us. I had the chicken parmesean and my mother had the shrimp Florentino. We were very disappointed in the food. The people were great and new place is very pretty, but the food was awful. I had eggplant parmigiana and it had no texture, just mush. The sauce was just ok. This is one of the best restaurants in town. In my opinion, it is the ONLY Italian restaurant in town. The food could be better, more fresh, but it is good nonetheless. The dinner rolls are amazing and addictive! I've had the baked ziti most recently. It was very nice and not too smothered in cheese. The plain spaghetti is my 16 year old's favorite. My 13 year old son loves their personal size pizzas, which are about a medium at a pizza chain. The house dressing is a tangy tomato dressing to which they also refer as Italian dressing. It is good but not Italian in the sense that is a clear-ish dressing with spices. The deserts are good but not made fresh, sadly. They are frozen as is evident by the extreme cold temperature when they serve it. They didn't serve it frozen but it was nearly that cold. They are not open on Mondays. The wait staff is friendly. This place as odd as it sounds it probably the most authentic Italian food you'll find in all of the Bartlesville area. Definitely not an olive garden standard feel. Their pasta is homemade and authentic. Their marinara and alfredo sauces are to die for! The perfect amount of spice and is just perfection! You can do call aheads here if you're having large parties, they even have a room in the back you can rent out. The bread is fresh and homemade and you'll definitely be wanting more! If you haven't tried the Stromboli it's a must ... their sausage, pepperoni and tomato based sauces are exquisite! Another must try is their 'house' dressing which is kind of a test on french or Ott's. Truly, my husband and I are fans of Luigi' and would much rather go here than any other Italian restaurant Ms in Owasso or Tulsa! Everything is made authentic & let me tell you, it is excellent. We have stayed in the area for 19 months now, due to my employment. When they first opened within a week, we were there. The waitress was amazing and brought our food out within a few minutes. The food wasn't amazing but still pretty good. The problem was we never saw a waitress again!! Drinks sat empty for most of the meal. When we finally gave up and went to the register with no ticket in hand, the gentleman at the register chewed the waitress out right in front of us, extremely tacky! Fast forward to almost a year later, I finally convinced my husband to give them another try. I ordered baked ziti, it was so Parmesan heavy that it totally lost all flavors other than cheese. Again the waitress served us quickly and the service was amazing until we got our food. She never came back again, drinks sat empty most of the meal, and again, with no ticket! I was so thankful for Yelp in helping me find a good restaurant that would work for kids, had wine, took reservations, and had good ratings. Naturally, being the Yelp queen in my family, planning of trips, especially all meals, falls to me. They have a big room at the back for larger parties, and I was relieved to see another big table with a lot of kids when we got back there. I called ahead to have our table ready, and they did a great job taking care of us! Our server took good care of us - and there were a lot of us. 12, including two little ones. Bread, drinks, apps and salads came out quickly so we could get kids fed and calmed down a bit. Between us, we kind of covered the menu, and everyone was happy with what they had. I was impressed with the quality of the food, the service, the variety of the menu, and their ability t o handle our large and rowdy group. We ordered take-out, which was nicely packed up and inexpensive. Our order was the tortellini modo mio with chicken, broccoli and black olives and the chicken parmigiana, with small side salads and bread. There was nothing wrong with the meal, exactly, but it was very bland. The red sauce on the chicken parm was watery, not flavorful and rich. The tortellini also needed some zip-- some fresh lemon and herbs, maybe some pepperoncini. The salad could have used a tiny bit of red onion. It was just a diner version of Italian, convenient, but not what we expected from an Italian restaurant. read more

Luigi's is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant with excellent food in large portions. It's by far my favorite Italian in Bartlesville. The pasta is fresh and ingredients are high quality. We've enjoyed the Chicken Cacciatore (chicken breasts in tomato broth with onions, green peppers, and mushrooms) and Jeffrey's Special Dinner (yummy thick marinara with meatballs and sausage). Their lasagna is to die for, and other pastas are very flavorful. Each meal comes with a small salad. Their house dressing is tangy tomato based dressing, very unique and excellent. Meals are served with white rolls. The interior of the restaurant is simple and nothing fancy. They have just re-done the inside with new chairs and tablecloths, and it looks much better. There are a few dishes here that I am obsessed with. The Stromboli at lunch is my favorite. It is the same size as the dinner Stromboli (as big as a football), but it's a dollar cheaper. It's definitely food coma-causing, but oh-so-worth-it. I also really liked the Lobster Ravioli when I started going about two years ago, but I think they changed their recipe and/or ravioli source. It's still pretty good, but not quite the excellent quality that it once was. I love the rolls! Sometimes I get a pasta dish with the Alfredo/marinara mixed sauce just to have a dipping medium for a few rolls. The salad is the most basic arrangement that you could imagine, but it gets the job done. The staff is mostly very friendly! read more
