How did we not know about this place? We ordered the Meatball sub and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, usually messy at most places. Not here, served open face and cut into sections so you could eat it like a pizza, with perfectly broiled bread, shaved steak and slicesd meatballs. Not drowning in sauce either, delish! And they serve great fresh salads so you get your veggies whether you want them or not! And great rolls with rosemary or something. Will have to try the pasta next time. We were very disappointed in the food. The people were great and new place is very pretty, but the food was awful. I had eggplant parmigiana and it had no texture, just mush. The sauce was just ok. I tired luigis for the first time yesterday with my mother. We went in for lunch and I'd say we will definitely be returning. Our waiter Tarell ( hopefully I got the spelling right lol) was awesome and took great care of us. I had the chicken parmesean and my mother had the shrimp Florentino. This place as odd as it sounds it probably the most authentic Italian food you'll find in all of the Bartlesville area. Definitely not an olive garden standard feel. Their pasta is homemade and authentic. Their marinara and alfredo sauces are to die for! The perfect amount of spice and is just perfection! You can do call aheads here if you're having large parties, they even have a room in the back you can rent out. The bread is fresh and homemade and you'll definitely be wanting more! This is one of the best restaurants in town. In my opinion, it is the ONLY Italian restaurant in town. The food could be better, more fresh, but it is good nonetheless. The dinner rolls are amazing and addictive! I've had the baked ziti most recently. It was very nice and not too smothered in cheese. The plain spaghetti is my 16 year old's favorite. My 13 year old son loves their personal size pizzas, which are about a medium at a pizza chain. The house dressing is a tangy tomato dressing to which they also refer as Italian dressing. It is good but not Italian in the sense that is a clear-ish dressing with spices. The deserts are good but not made fresh, sadly. They are frozen as is evident by the extreme cold temperature when they serve it. They didn't serve it frozen but it was nearly that cold. They are not open on Mondays. The wait staff is friendly. Luigi's is by far the best Italian restaurant in Bartlesville! Feel like we have waited such a long time! Well worth it ... always generous in size! If you haven't tried the Stromboli it's a must ... their sausage, pepperoni and tomato based sauces are exquisite! Another must try is their 'house' dressing which is kind of a test on french or Ott's. Truly, my husband and I are fans of Luigi' and would much rather go here than any other Italian restaurant Ms in Owasso or Tulsa! When they first opened within a week, we were there. The waitress was amazing and brought our food out within a few minutes. The food wasn't amazing but still pretty good. The problem was we never saw a waitress again!! Drinks sat empty for most of the meal. When we finally gave up and went to the register with no ticket in hand, the gentleman at the register chewed the waitress out right in front of us, extremely tacky! Fast forward to almost a year later, I finally convinced my husband to give them another try. I ordered baked ziti, it was so Parmesan heavy that it totally lost all flavors other than cheese. Again the waitress served us quickly and the service was amazing until we got our food. She never came back again, drinks sat empty most of the meal, and again, with no ticket! Everything is made authentic & let me tell you, it is excellent. We have stayed in the area for 19 months now, due to my employment. They have a big room at the back for larger parties, and I was relieved to see another big table with a lot of kids when we got back there. Our order was the tortellini modo mio with chicken, broccoli and black olives and the chicken parmigiana, with small side salads and bread. There was nothing wrong with the meal, exactly, but it was very bland. The red sauce on the chicken parm was watery, not flavorful and rich. The tortellini also needed some zip-- some fresh lemon and herbs, maybe some pepperoncini. The salad could have used a tiny bit of red onion. It was just a diner version of Italian, convenient, but not what we expected from an Italian restaurant. read more
