It's CRAZY HOW BAD IT IS!!! This place is CRAZY FAST with barren pizzas. I felt so rushed. Each…read morecourse came in under 10 minutes and usually while we were attempting to enjoy the prior course. Despite us trying to nicely ask them multiple times to not rush us and let us enjoy our food, that seemed like a foreign concept to them. They would clear the table while people were still eating every single course. We even told them at the beginning of the meal that we are here to enjoy our meal and not in a rush. They did the same to the other tables too. They had the audacity to yell at us that they were rushing us "Because [they] care." Seems pretty weird to IGNORE a customer request to do what you want "because you care". Ridiculous! The service is terrible. It could've been great had they not tried to rush us and forgot some of our order. 2/5 Even after we confronted them to slow down multiple times, nothing changed. The salads and chicken dishes were decent but the portion sizes were very small compared to any other Italian spot. 3/5 the Chicken dishes were solid. The ambiance is ok. The tables are tight together and they don't tell you but the DJ only comes on at 9pm. If you're there before they just blast music so you can't talk to your friends. If there was dancing it would be acceptable but there isn't. Speaking of pizza, this place is extremely lacking on their pizza. Hardly any toppings and mostly just a cracker bread. 1/5. BRINGS SHAME TO PIZZA. The bread wasn't even great either. It felt like we were fed crackers with a light dusting of toppings on COLD PIZZA!!!! The pasta was the best thing here 3/5 (the small size prevents it from getting a better score. The drinks were overpriced but good. 4/5 This place is a COMPLETE DUD and will not last out here. People come to dine or party, not to be rushed out of a place without a party.

I SAID IT'S THE LOUDEST RESTAURANT EVER!…read more Sorry, ears are still ringing. On multiple occasions, during our visit, I told the mousey waitress "I have no idea what you're saying." (due to the music) - And when I asked for the cheapest glass of red wine, she tried upselling me. Lolz. Subtle! We actually REALLY enjoyed the pizza. The salmon pizza was very tasty. Our friends really enjoyed theirs, as well. THE DESSERTS, are as much as a SHOW, as their 'famous pizza-tossing' gimic. (Yes, the go around every 30 min or so and throw dough into the air)... while the loud music seemingly gets louder. Anyway, BACK TO THE DESSERTS - they make them right in front of you. Pretty cute! And pretty tasty. If you're in the Hamptons, there's a 80% chance you're throwing away money constantly, so you might as well give this place a shot. It's crazy!

Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi

Hosted a private dinner in the Barn and everything from service to the food was impeccable…read more Ambiance was magical with the florals and candlelight. Two dishes I was in love with was the chicken with artichoke fondue and the sushi canapé. Would definitely recommend hosting an event here! Thanks Chris for your partnership on the event!
