Oh Rosie's, Oh Rosie's, how good you were to thee. We had a blast and felt at home. Busy...busy... you're the place to be! 5 stars from me, absolutely. While visiting the Hamptons we popped over to Amagansett. In the heart lives Rosie's. We were lucky to eat here twice, the first time was so amazing we had to try again! It's definitely packed with tourists but also the local Amagansett community. We saw lots of locals and they were definitely treated like repeat customers. Unsure if they have a reservation option as we happen to just walk right in. The service is impeccable! The food is fantastic! This DC foodie was impressed! This place is a favorite amongst the young adults in my family, Now for the dinner the chicken is a winner winner and the steak frites kills every time! The menu describes certain interesting toppics which did not come. The service is not good--asked for cheese on the side. It was on the burger. Asked for a lightly dressed salad...it came heavily dressed. A very weak negroni was $22. Everyone is our group felt ripped off. Rosies even added/included a 20% tip ( we were six so it was alarge group inclusion). the server did not tell us so we ended up adding a huge tip--40% of the bill. Such a cute shop in East Hampton! A group rolled up for coffee and avocado toast and they handled the unexpected rush well. Coffee was delicious (I got the latte with oat milk) and pricing on par with other specialty coffee places. The avocado toast received high praise too! read more

My partner and I had a great breakfast to go from Rosie's. Their online ordering system is very easy. The breakfast burrito was the best way to go. It was hearty. I liked my breakfast biscuit, too, though it seemed a bit smaller for the price. I did love the bread, though! Cold-pressed juices were already bottled ($10) and from CA. They were still tasty, though! They had a large beverage list but no orange juice. Surprising! The rose latte was nice but a bit too subtle. My husband's flat white, though, was on point. Glad I tried it for dinner but wouldn't rush back. My friend ordered a bunch of apps to start and I tried most - crab croquettes, burrata tomato and focaccia, Caesar salad, and Mac n' cheese. The crab croquettes were my favorite. I liked the assortment of tomatoes with the burrata. I didn't eat the Caesar salad. I was basically several pieces of Romaine lettuce not chopped up. For dinner I had the salmon. The way the mashed potatoes came out it looked like someone took a spoonful of them. The salmon was a bit bland; it needed more of the cream sauce. read more

Rosie's is a cute, trendy brunch spot on the Main Street in Amagansett, NY. You can order coffee and food to go at the walk-up station, and take it home or sit in their outdoor patio. The wait staff is extremely friendly, which made our breakfast dining experience on a rainy day really wonderful. We brought in lots of luggage, as we were on our way out of town, and the waitstaff kindly let us leave our luggage in the front of the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed the egg and cheese biscuit. The cheese is subtle within the large slab of scrambled egg. The biscuit was warm, buttery, and everything I needed in that moment. My dining companions also enjoyed the egg biscuit, as well as the egg burrito with added chorizo and the fried chicken and waffle. read more

I ordered ahead during lunch time and it was ready in about 30 minutes which was nice. When I went to the pickup window, all of the staff were very friendly. I had the quinoa & greens dish and was shocked by how small the portion was. For the price, I was expecting it to be an entree sized salad and not an appetizer size. However, it did taste good. I also tried the egg & cheese biscuit. While the biscuit itself was good, the eggs were pretty oily. Once again, the portion was very small. It seems that this restaurant is better suited as a snack place and not ideal if you are looking for a full meal. read more

Such a cute coffee / bar store. We went a few times in our trip (they have a takeout window right on the street). Their blueberry muffin is AMAZING - freshly made every day! It was difficult to have conversation. We asked for the music to be lowered (several other tables did as well) and they lowered it for 10 minutes, then raised it louder than it was earlier. Visited this restaurant for dinner in August. This is a No frills establishment, everything is ala cart. No bread, no salt and pepper on table. There are seven entrees on the menu to choose from and the prices are Fifth Avenue, NYC type prices. The food was okay, we ordered steamed mussels ( did not come with toasted bread to dip into sauce ), crab cakes, and a chicken dish. There are many other restaurant choices in Amangansett and East Hampton so we will not be returnibg. read more

Not a great experience at this place. Placed an order for $80 (breakfast for two). Overpriced is an understatement. Waited 50 minutes before not getting our meal and finally walked to the counter to let them know. They didn't even remember even though we were the only customers sitting outside. Apparently the kitchen never received the order, and the systems don't communicate. We wanted to leave and go somewhere else at this point but then they put the order in so we felt obligated to wait. The only positive was they offered coffee and to comp the meal. Overall the best thing was the fries. The burger I asked for medium rare it was well done and nothing special. The staff at Rosie's are wonderful, earnest and hardworking. Service was attentive and timely. The decor and ambiance were really attractive and interesting. Our meal was disappointing. Chicken Milanese. The chicken tasted like it was deep fried twice, the meat was dry and tough and the breading had no taste. This is an item that could be removed from the menu- and, if not, then perhaps made properly. There's no hiding it when the kitchen is cutting corners.
