This was not a an experience we would repeat. Being generous with a 3 rating because the chopped salad with chicken was the best I've ever had and there was so much left over. Since we went for brunch, we got the scone with fresh butter as a little snackitizer and that was also really good. The interior decor was also really beautiful. We unfortunately did have to sit inside on a beautiful summer day because only a handful of outdoor tables had umbrellas. The rest were in the scorching sun. The service was very poor and it was so frustrating to deal with. My partner ordered blueberry pancakes with sausage and the sausage never came (btw he said the pancakes were just ok, not bad but nothing special). That happens, so we waited to flag down our server to tell him of the oversight. And waited. We finally told him and he said he was putting the order in. We assumed that during brunch they would have sausage already cooked, ready to plate. We started eating, slowly, waiting for it and it didn't come. We flagged down another server to ask him to let our server know we were still waiting because ours wasn't in sight. We were halfway done eating. For a third request, we flagged down someone who looked more like a manager. He apologized and he said right away. When we were done eating we told our server to forget it and then of course it finally came. We turned it back and asked them to make sure we weren't charged. That wasn't as bizarre as the coffee situation. When we first sat down with our scone, I couldn't drink the coffee, it was so old and burnt. Again, the issue of the absentee server, and when I finally found him, I asked for a fresh cup. With the second cup, it was the same. When I found him again and told him it was old and tasted bad, he said "that's strange because it was just made this morning" LOL!!! This was brunch, around noon. This whole dining experience was basically spent waiting and looking...No relaxing dining. I think the restaurant really has great potential if management invests more into trained, experienced staff. read more

While visiting the Hamptons we popped over to Amagansett. In the heart lives Rosie's. We were lucky to eat here twice, the first time was so amazing we had to try again! It's definitely packed with tourists but also the local Amagansett community. We saw lots of locals and they were definitely treated like repeat customers. Unsure if they have a reservation option as we happen to just walk right in. The service is impeccable! The food is fantastic! This DC foodie was impressed! The menu describes certain interesting toppics which did not come. The service is not good--asked for cheese on the side. It was on the burger. Rosies even added/included a 20% tip ( we were six so it was alarge group inclusion). the server did not tell us so we ended up adding a huge tip--40% of the bill. Such a cute shop in East Hampton! A group rolled up for coffee and avocado toast and they handled the unexpected rush well. Coffee was delicious (I got the latte with oat milk) and pricing on par with other specialty coffee places. The avocado toast received high praise too! read more

I liked my breakfast biscuit, too, though it seemed a bit smaller for the price. I did love the bread, though! Cold-pressed juices were already bottled ($10) and from CA. They were still tasty, though! They had a large beverage list but no orange juice. Surprising! The rose latte was nice but a bit too subtle. My husband's flat white, though, was on point. Rosie's is a cute, trendy brunch spot on the Main Street in Amagansett, NY. You can order coffee and food to go at the walk-up station, and take it home or sit in their outdoor patio. The wait staff is extremely friendly, which made our breakfast dining experience on a rainy day really wonderful. We brought in lots of luggage, as we were on our way out of town, and the waitstaff kindly let us leave our luggage in the front of the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed the egg and cheese biscuit. The cheese is subtle within the large slab of scrambled egg. The biscuit was warm, buttery, and everything I needed in that moment. My dining companions also enjoyed the egg biscuit, as well as the egg burrito with added chorizo and the fried chicken and waffle. read more

I ordered ahead during lunch time and it was ready in about 30 minutes which was nice. When I went to the pickup window, all of the staff were very friendly. I had the quinoa & greens dish and was shocked by how small the portion was. For the price, I was expecting it to be an entree sized salad and not an appetizer size. However, it did taste good. I also tried the egg & cheese biscuit. While the biscuit itself was good, the eggs were pretty oily. Once again, the portion was very small. For the mains, we had the chicken which had a spicy sauce. It was well prepared. The salmon was also very good. The service was attentive. The big downside was the loud music. It was difficult to have conversation. We asked for the music to be lowered (several other tables did as well) and they lowered it for 10 minutes, then raised it louder than it was earlier. Visited this restaurant for dinner in August. This is a No frills establishment, everything is ala cart. No bread, no salt and pepper on table. There are seven entrees on the menu to choose from and the prices are Fifth Avenue, NYC type prices. The food was okay, we ordered steamed mussels ( did not come with toasted bread to dip into sauce ), crab cakes, and a chicken dish.
