I felt buzzed after half a drink, and I'm no lightweight. The service is average (this is a good thing) The ambiance is very casual. I could see why most people in their 20s would love this place. I usually rate a Mexican spot by their Carne Asada tacos but they don't have them here. They Americanized it and call the skirt steak tacos. I wouldn't call it true Mexican, but I wouldn't knock it either because a lot of people don't speak Spanish out here so I can understand why they did it. The Parrot burger was decent. Mexican food is my thing!!!!!!!!! So on my ride out to East Hampton my friends and I stopped in here. It was def. a little busy and I was def. a little under dressed but it was time to eat..... The three of us walked up to the hostess and we were seated instantly which was great considering it was about 7pm on a Saturday night with a busy crowd. PICKUP ORDERS BEWARE - orders are automatically charged 20% gratuity without any forewarning (say goodbye $50!) At first I thought it was an innocent mistake with the Toast app since the line item on the receipt labeled "auto-gratuity". So I went back to the front desk to ask for a refund, and the woman at the front said was the RUDEST restaurant staff I've ever met. I asked 2 questions in a friendly manner "can I get a refund, because we didn't eat here?" to which she responded that the 20% is auto-added so then I followed up with "could you override it?" and it triggered a rant of increasing volume starting with that she couldn't override it, that she put the 20% gratuity there because people here don't tip for pickup orders, started yelling variations of "do you not want to show gratuity to the people who cooked your food?" And so on. She said that "something" says that pickup orders $250+ are subject to 20% tip, but I assure you it's not the Toast menu. What a disappointing way to end our day. read more

My go-to Mexican restaurant when out East. The food is fresh and not over-sauced. The prices are fair and you don't feel like you are getting the typical Hamptons up-charge. Pretty pricey for "street tacos" but I think typical for East Hampton's pricing. The portion sizes were still good at least. One note - if you order the tacos (3 tacos per order), you have to have all 3 tacos be of the same flavor (i.e. all shrimp, all fish, all chicken, etc), you can't mix and match. The drinks are strong which is a plus. For two people, we did an order of the 3 tacos, a veggie quesadilla, split guac+chips, and two margaritas. The bill came out to $112 before tip. read more

Keep reading the negative reviews about the prices . Funny how everyone can afford a house share here in the Hamptons but can't afford dinner. Honestly the shrimp or fish tacos are amazing, only problem is trying to decide which is better ! If you like your margaritas then make sure you order the spicy watermelon. Holy cow it's spicy and strong yet refreshing all in one. The tequila is infused with peppers so it kicks like a mule. This is one of the "cheaper" spots in East Hampton, but definitely way overpriced. They forgot to give our table our chips and salsa that we ordered, so they gave it to us on the house. I ordered the shrimp tacos. Although they were tasty in flavor, the shrimp was kind of rubbery and did not taste fresh. I actually got a slight allergic reaction later which happens to me when I eat not-fresh seafood. It's not "authentic" Mexican food by any means. The tacos are not double wrapped, there's no cilantro, etc. The sangria tasted like fruit punch and essentially had no alcohol in it. We were there at the height of dinner time, and were brought our bill before we were even finished. We felt rushed to leave so they could use our table. All items on the receipt stapled to the bag had been checked off, so we didnt check the contents in the bag standing there. Got back to our house 15 mins away, an entree is missing and half the supplies needed for fajitas. The first guy I spoke with offered zero value at all, namely, we can take off the entrees and re run the card. Sure, I won't eat dinner tonight because of a mistake from the restaurant. Then I spoke to the manager, Ashleigh, who didn't even hesitate to say we will remake both dishes, I will drive them to you, and throw in 2 additional margaritas for the hassle. That's why she's a manager and the other guy is not. As for the food, solid. I've had better Mexican but its East Hampton prices so not surprise there. When picking up the food, the outdoor seating looked like a great spot, just have to hope something is open when you're there. read more

The only downside was when a drunk old guy started regaling me about his glory days as an LSU baseball player, but the chicken nachos I was devouring as I tuned out his 1955 "SEC leading" batting average made up for it. My family came here around 2pm on a Saturday in June and they had no issues accommodating us. The staff was very attentive and helpful! At least you can get a salad for under $20 here, unlike many of the other surrounding cafe trend havens where lunch entrees can easily creep up to $30 and beyond. However my $14 Oaxaca salad consisted of lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, a few waxy strips of cheese, a thin avocado dressing, and a few soggy pieces of tortilla. Very disappointing. So despite having read horrid reviews, I always hear so much about Blue Parrot that I figured they must be off....we came by over mem day weekend, really hoping to love it, as we're staying nearby this summer. Alas, our experience was similar to many reviews (and we didn't even have any of the extremely overpriced food). Just wanted to drop in for a margarita, and they were kind enough to give us a table despite only drinking. Sadly this is where the positives end. Now I expect everything to be expensive in both the hamptons and west village, but at least generally the quality reflects the cost. Upon walking in, some wasted case on his way out knocked over a bicycle in front of us, and other onlookers, but rather than picking it up, muttered "thats no good," and stumbled on. My boyfriend picked up the bike, but this was a good indication of things to come... We didn't see our server for maybe 15 minutes, and he knew we were only ordering drinks, so hardly needed a lengthy time to peruse the cocktail menu. The first thing I attempted to order was out (naturally), and so we ordered the blueberry margarita and rum punch, both at his recommendation. My blueberry marg was absolutely horrendous, tasted like cheap tequila and bathroom cleaner, to the point where I literally couldnt drink it and forced at least half upon my boyfriend. His rum punch was gone in about 2 seconds flat, as he claimed it was virgin (and this is a lightweight. he's wasted after one shot). The waiter eventually came to ask if he wanted another, which of course he didnt as it was sugar water..so he said no...the waiter was all 'those are dangerous right?!"...um, only if the danger is of leaving stone cold sober and pissed off. After forcing my boyfriend to chug the majority of my nasty drink (which he also hated), and seeing the pricing for a burrito (20ish???), and confirming that the service and drinks were appalling, we made the decision that we wont be returning. It's too bad, due to both proximity, and the cute key west vibe they have going on (love key west). also the entire place filled of smoke while we were there, so my hair and silk blouse reeked afterwards, as though i had been at a campfire or bbq.
