It took them 30 minutes to take a gel manicure off and damaged my nails in the process. They used the grinder repeatedly on my nails instead of re-soaking which I was left with uneven nails. (See photo attached. ) the tech who started had another apt so they passed me off to someone else who was just beyond rude (short bob hair with a stripe of blonde In the front) she kept complaining about the other technicians work and how he made my nails uneven beyond repair and that her paint job would look bad. At this point I had to walk away I didn't feel comfortable with either tech, they were very unprofessional with one another and so rude to me. I left feeling so uncomfortable. The level of customer service is really lacking here and to top it off they don't do a great job. Too many nail salons to choose from and this one I promise you is not it. read more

Despite covid actions, the place was pretty clean. Although my nails on the other hand were another story. I had come in looking for a simple manicure and pedicure and had been overcharged. The manicure(regular polish) was 25$ as I had added rhinestones on all my nails. My pedicure however was also 25$. Completely overcharged! When I questioned the over pricing I was told for the second time that it was correct although I had heard a different price when I walked in. Was not satisfied with the application of the polish as the second coat was not covering my entire nail which led to discoloration on half of my nail. To add on, the gems fell off immediately after I left salon. Overall decent place depending on who you have to do your nails and what you ask for. read more

Feel very "lucky" (pun intended) to discover this gem of a salon to feel pampered, thanks to reviews from other yelpers on here! Lucky Nails is a family-owned business that was procured from another owner. Although I did not know the previous owners, I am very pleased with the current ones. They greet you immediately upon entering with a gracious "hello" and a friendly smile making you feel special. I was even greeted by my first name upon entering, this being only my second visit making me feel as if owner cares about their patrons. The salon is very clean and well-laid out considering a small, corner space in a shopping center close to the turnpike entrance next to Office Depot. The new owners have been in the location just over a year and seem to have settled in nicely. Although the first nail techs were not here to do my mani/pedi today, I was very pleased with the other techs performance. Needless to say, I have found my new haven for nails. read more

I'm super happy with this salon. I went after looking at reviews for nail salons in Boca because I haven't been able to find a good nail tech to do my acrylics since my old one moved out of town. It's surprisingly hard to find someone who is good at acrylics. I went to Lucky nails and Julia did them for me and she is definitely one of the best I've ever had do my acrylics and I've been getting them done for many years. My sister went at the same time and had Ken do her pedicure and she was just as happy as I was and said he is the best nail tech she has had. So I definitely recommend this salon! And the prices can't be beat. read more

I have used the salon for about 5 months. I do note recent new owners and I'm not sure about how it will go. But I love the young lady that does my nails. She is very sweet and her nails stay on well for a month if I need them that long. I will say if this young lady and her husband leave I'm not sure I will go there. I don't find the other staff easy to communicate with. But I do enjoy my experience here. I can't remember her name but she does her work on the first row of seats to the left. And her husband works beside her. They are both great. read more

Tricked by reviews on yelp! This place might have been good before, but now it's entirely unpleasant and I've had a terrible experience. I don't plan on coming back ever again. First time I walked in, I was greeted by two nail techs that was already busy, while other staffs were hiding in the back. Before starting my nails, I asked how long it was going to be since I only had an hour to spare, I was told half hour,... It ended up close to an hour before he finished. Unfortunately, the nail tech that performed on me didn't speak much English, and he didn't understand what I wanted. He tried to hush me up by just saying no and okay over and over again. So I got very basic nexgen nails and it was alright, not the best. What annoyed me was, he refused to trim my natural nail and then the nail extension broke off two days later. I went back in a week to try to get it fixed, and again, had to wait for a staff as they were hiding in the back. The women that was doing my nail was distracted the entire time by greeting everyone and getting up running around to do other things, NOT MY NAIL. Of course, I don't have a problem with her being friendly to other customers, but what could have been done in 5 mins took her much longer than necessary... Wasted MY TIME waiting on her. I constantly had to shake my hand to remind her I'm still here since she kept staring up talking to others. At the end, the nail that she fixed was in an entirely DIFFERENT SHAPE than the rest of my nails, which was almond, and she DID NOT filed it down nor shaped it to the desired look after I requested. I paid for the fixed nail, tipped her and got out. Nexgen nails are suppose to be durable, but I'm not sure anyone there knows how to do them properly since they just kept breaking off because they don't know how to place an extension so it's not at a weak stress point. After paying to get my broken nail fixed (that broke only TWO DAYS of having them-and I don't rough up my hands), my pinky nail and ring finger nail flew off a little after. This is not something that normally happens, as they're suppose to be much more durable and I'll never be back or recommend anyone here again. It also doesn't help to overhear other customers talking about how this place is under new management because there are different staffs... While the my nail lady tried to hush her up by saying ok repeatedly too. read more

The full set took a lot longer than I expected but, I would rather them take their time and do an amazing job then rush and leave my nails crooked, like I have experienced in other salons. Hollie is awesome! She really took her time doing my nails, she shaped them so well, and the polish she put on is absolutely flawless! No bubbles, no smudges. I am truly impressed! Everyone is so nice, the man upfront is incredibly sweet, overall A great experience! Other places I have been to would charge me extra for shaping, but I like that there was just one flat fee! The best nexgen I've ever had! It lasts a good month. Friendly personnel and very comfortable. A nice atmosphere with no pretense, a rarity in Boca Raton. Even the clientele are nice--easy to strike up a conversation with them (I get horribly bored when I get my nails done). They carry just about every color known to mankind, too! read more

the nail techs here are so rude and obviously have no experience or aren't good at their jobs. The lady who did my pedicure messed 4 of my toes up, and re did them doing a sloppy job, and she spilled my iced coffee and got annoyed she had to clean it up. another lady did my nails (gel) and only had them soaking for 2 minutes. she then proceeded to take them off basically ripping the gel off of my nails leaving them extremely damaged. Despite that I still tipped her and she didn't even say thank you. This place is disgusting and none the less my nails and toes look horrible. Won't be back. read more

I have always been very pleased with getting my NexGen nails done at Lucky Nails but the past 4 or 5 times I have made an appointment and still had to wait at least 30 minutes . If I could rename this establishment (though maybe not the most creative of names), I would go with Unlucky Nails. Not only did I wait for what felt like an eternity after being told to sit down at a station but the manicurist did a horrible job. It was so bad, I had to point out that hairs from the nail-polish brush were stuck in my nail and had to have her redo them not once, not twice, but three times. When I asked for a discount or the job for free (as should have been offered), nothing was done. Getting a manicure should be a fun and relaxing experience - I left frustrated, angry and with a tragic excuse for a manicure. read more

Sonny at Lucky Nails has been doing my NexGen Nails. I had given up on Acrylics and wraps, etc, .... but when my daughter introduced me to Sunny, my "nailworld" changed and I was so happy. They looked great, they lasted 4-5 weeks, he (Sonny) was fast and efficient and understood exactly how I liked my nails to be shaped. To my dismay, when we went there last week, the "Salon" had changed hands and Sonny was gone. The new owner begged us to give her a chance. We did. What a waste of a lot of money. My nails look like a child did them. The sides are lifting, ... I will probably get fungus if I don't remove them, and the top is thick and wavy. After a year of going to Sonny for my nexgen, I was devastated when I went in and found out the salon had been sold. I too was asked by the new owner to give them a chance...BIG MISTAKE. The techs are inexperienced and lazy! I was left with red nexgen powder stains on my fingers. When I asked her to please clean it off she sent me to the sink. It did not come off. She advised me to go home and shower and it would come off. Two days later and I still have powder stains on my skin. Awful salon, AVOID IT! Family owned and run by Vietnamese, Lucky Nails is a fabulous little studio. They give great attention to detail with their manicures and pedicures. They also do waxing and anything else one may require. I got a Pedicure, and had a chair back massage at the same time - it was wonderful! Prices are good too. read more

First time & last timemy manicurist did not wash tools , she cut my cuticles to much & hurt me, used her long pointy thumb nail to assist in cleaning up nails . 3 days later I'm left with peeling polish , 2 peeled nails & ragged cuticles. What a find! I moved to Boca a few months ago, and have struggled to find a great nail salon. This is it for me. I loved the way my pink and white NexxGen nails looked when Sonny was done. Very disappointed. I had an appointment and when I sent in the chair they told me someone else had an appointment so I had to get up! A man came over and replace the woman who was working on me for about 1 minute and then they had me switch chairs again and work with a third person. Over the phone they quoted me $30 Nexgen and then charged me $35 for a very mediocre job. The woman who did my nails with a bit rude and at the end when I was sitting and trying she told me she had a customer so I had to get up yet again! I thought I was a customer but they treated me very poorly. I get my nails done every two weeks and I really go mainly to relax and enjoy, but this place is really not very pleasant and I will not return. My nails on the right hand look like Square thick Chiclets. I ended up going somewhere else to shape them and the people were shocked at the job I received at Lucky Nails. read more

Adding MAI to the list of awesome technicians(I've hadJenny and Kim so far as well) i'm a true believer in the next generation nails and I love that it lasts three weeks!! Ask for Annie!! Everyone is wonderful as wellTerriffic place. A hidden treasure with polite technicians and great service! I've had "Next Gen" nails done here and I'm very pleased with them I'm back now for a pedicure/eyebrow wax and I'm already impressed that the technicians are wearing gloves and the pedicure tub is lined.good hygiene is a must !! I went in on a reference on January 14, 2016. The lady who did my nails was nice. I got a Full-set with Gel nail polish. Took a little over 30 minutes and they looked great... for 2 DAYS. Next thing I knew the color turning and my nails had marks on them. Next day, my right index finger popped off. Then a couple days later the color on my thumb lifted 100%. Tomorrow would make it 2 weeks and my nails look horrendous. Now I can't even get a proper fill. Therefore I wasted $37 +$3 tip on my service. read more

First time today in the salon. I was lucky enough to take a cancelled appt and was thrilled. My manicurist greeted me with a smile and the entire experience was very pleasant. A clean paper was placed over the towel and under my hands to provide a fresh workspace. My cuticles were trimmed and my Nextgen Manicure came out perfect. The salon was clean and I was not rushed during the appt. I was not charged to remove the Nextgen previously on my nails and the bill was $5.00 less than my previous salon.
