Very good! Ample parking as part of a shopping plaza. The service was excellent. The menu items were expansive and the restaurant was clean and well decorated. We had the crispy spring rolls, good sized and tasty. The dipping sauce was excellent for the summer rolls. The American coffee drink reminded me of Starbucks espresso latte and I'm a Starbucks fan. Hubby had the small pho and he really liked it, he said the taste of the broth was different than others he's had but liked it. I had the vermicelli with the grilled pork and crispy rolls, very good with lots of veggies and the grilled pork was very tasty. Would totally recommend if you're in Frederick and looking to have some Vietnamese cuisine read more

For the past several years, Lucky Corner has been my favorite restaurant in town--particularly when it was located at the original downtown location before moving out by the mall. Service has declined at the new location as the staff has grown. Today's food was as good as it always is, but there were a couple of service problems that the young, high-school or college-age staff didn't see as anything that needed to be addressed. The new location is about 15 miles from my house (the old location was three miles), so I place my take-out order over the phone with the expectation that it will be ready when I get there. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, the staff running the front desk realized that the staff that just left only wrote down my order but did not enter it into the computer. I had to repeat my order in person--which included my wife's request for "no onions" in her Veggie in a Hot Pot. I then submitted a coupon for the order and was told that the coupon is only valid Mon.-Thurs., which I did not realize. However, considering my order was not entered into the system, it would have been prudent to accept the coupon to accommodate for me having to now wait for an order that should have been ready when I arrived. After waiting 20-25 minutes for the order, I went home only to discover that my wife's order was smothered in onions even though "No Onions" is clearly visible on the receipt--causing her to dump a substantial amount of her food down the garbage disposal as she removed the onions layering the top of the meal. I will undoubtedly return because the food is great, but the distance I must travel for poor service means I will be looking for other options and won't be getting my food from Lucky Corner as often as I used to. read more

Love Love Love Love Loved it!!!!! My family and I dined here after church and it was delicious. My very picky eater son could not get enough. The staff was very accommodating to a special request as well. We will most definitely dine here again. read more

The first time I went to this restaurant and ordered the Caramelized Fish with catfish. It was oversweet and oversalted and frankly just bizarre tasting. I vowed to never come back but maybe about a year later I ended up there again through circumstance. I ordered the Curry Chicken and I'm blown away. It was absolutely delicious. I think it's definitely a lesson on giving a restaurant a fair shot and really trying the other things it has to offer. Although I likely will never eat most of the menu because I cant handle spice, I really look forward to going back! Phenomenal restaurant! read more

Recently, I dined at Lucky Corner Vietnamese, Asian restaurant, based on the prices on the American Airlines Dining Program/Menu. I got there are every entree lunch and dinner was $4 more. As well, the restaurant charges 3.5% extra to use your card. Our bill was $51.30. We paid cash. We still got the processing fee.We offered to pay part in credit to get airline points, part in cash. We were told we'd have entire bill upcharged. It looks as if we got a processing fee....and for what? We never got the 4% the stated on the check receipt. This should really be called UNLUCKY CORNER. American Airlines Dining Program should drop them and we have registered a complaint with them. Just too much bait and switch here. Bad experience. read more

The best Vietnamese food in Frederick - period. Firecracker shrimp - always on point. Singapore rice noodles just the right amount of spice from the curry. I haven't tried too many other entrees because the ones mentioned above are my favs. Go early because this place gets crowded for lunch and dinner. Such good food and good service. read more

Got the papaya salad, summer rolls, Tom yum & red curry with rice noodles and tofu. It was all delicious & service was great!

I used to love Lucky Corner; however, after dining in on December 28, 2021 around 7:00 PM, I was thoroughly disappointed with the service Lucky Corner provided me. In short, I had to wait thirty minutes more below-standard service. I had a horrible experience. None of the wait staff acknowledged me at my booth, so I did not know who was serving me. The manager had to come over and take my order after at least eight to ten minutes of waiting. I did not know who to pay. The food did not arrive in a timely manner. Half of my food came, then I had to wait at least seven minutes for the last half of my meal to arrive. None of the wait staff asked me how was my meal, or whether I was doing well. None of the wait staff asked me if I needed any refills. The only real redeemable qualities of my experience and Lucky Corner were the music and access to TV's near the bar area. The waiting area needs to be enlarged, since there is only one slim bench. Once the one bench is full, the customers are forced to stand for a significant amount of time. What if a physically handicapped customer comes in, is put on a thirty minute waitlist, then is forced to stand for thirty minutes because the bench is fully occupied? read more

My mom and I were in the area grabbing a spur of the moment dinner and remembered that Lucky Corner had recently opened. So why not give it a try? Great décor and plenty of comfortable seating available. Service was great. Even though it was busy, food came out in a reasonable time. Everything is priced on the higher end, and portions are very small. We ordered... Eggplant & Tofu Seafood Hot Pot Beef & Broccoli The only thing we didn't care for was the Seafood Hot Pot. While the flavor was good, the seafood was cut up into small pieces and barely recognizable. It was very soupy and instead of putting the rice on the side, they put in at the bottom. So the rice became super soft and it wasn't good. We had to ask for a new rice on the side. And really the rice is just a filler. Because once you take the rice out of the pot, there were barely any vegetables or seafood. For $15, it was a complete rip off. Don't suggest this dish at all! read more

I finally found an awesome Vietnamese restaurant without having to drive all the way to Eden in VA. Their food are just as good if not better than The restaurants in VA. It's reasonably priced and the food is like a taste of home without the hassle of cooking. It's a nice atmosphere for a date or a family. Everything I've ordered so far has not been delicious. read more

I wanted to try this place. I wanted to like it. I hit it at 4pm on a sunday, and was seated quickly. There were 4 other tables in there, they were not busy. I sat there for 10 minutes and nobody ever came to my table to wait on me. I suppose I'll try again some time, but I'm not going to beg to be waited on when they are not busy. There are plenty of good nearby options. read more

I am normally a fav of this place!! I ordered my food as soon as I got here! 35 min later I finally get my food!! Awful experience!

Whenever my coworker come up to our corporate office we almost always to go Lucky Corner so I have been here many times in the past couple years. I have only event gotten the chefs special chicken which is there amazing version of general tsos. The flavor on the sauce is what gets me and the subtle crunch that the chicken has. It's very good especially with the rice. I often get the spring rolls and the Thai Ice tea also. Both are also very tasty. There is no doubt we will be coming back here soon. read more

Very nice Vietnamese restaurant. Clean, nicely decorated, and friendly service. They have a wide selection of entrees and soups, but no Bún bò Huế or wide selection of ingredients for your Pho. Maybe a little pricier than the usual Vietnamese or Pho place, but certainly nice enough that you could come here for a date. I would definitely come back if I was in the area. read more

First time checking this place out and I must say I was rather surprised they had a Vietnamese restaurant in Frederick. I always walk by this place when I'm out this way helping out another location for my company and always wanted to stop by and check it out. Today just happened to be the day I stopped by for some food. It was only 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty packed. Luckily, I only had to wait about 10 minutes or so to be seated. The food took a little longer than my usual pho places I frequently visit to be prepared. Most likely due to all the other patrons that happened to be there. I ordered a small pho ga that was decently priced and sized. The broth was flavorful and not too salty or too sweet. The Crispy Crab rolls with the mango Nuoc Mam sauce were great! I will definitely be stopping by more often to fix my pho craving when I'm in the area. Thanks Lucky Corner Vietnamese Cuisine for a great lunch today read more

5 stars all day. Pandemic or not. Had my wedding dinner at this location. Davis is an amazing GM, bartender and waiter. Great personality and def cares about his customers experience. wonderful. my mother and i love the establishment. the new bubble tea isn't my favorite, but the food will always be a staple.

Didn't like the food very much. It wasn't authentic Vietnamese. On top of that, they auto charge gratitude for party of six. However, Vietnamese parties are normally coming in 6 or more and was not happy with the auto adding gratitude of 18%. read more

Excellence right here in Frederick. Great food, well run, clean safe. Go here, you wont be sorry.

Delicious! Some of the best pho I've had. The broth was packed with flavor without being too salty, noodles were perfectly cooked, portions were big, the ingredients were fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive. read more

I almost don't want to write this because this restaurant is our families ultimate favorite and it's already super popular. Literally everything is good! I'll highlight a few, but you can't go wrong. My kids love the Pho. The broth is rich and full of flavor, it's great anytime but if you've got a cold this will fix you up. Ok, beef with thick noodles. If you enjoy spicy this hits, but isn't unbearable. It's full of tender-meat and dark sauce. My personal favorite is pumpkin soup with chicken. This too is spicy, with sweet curry flavor. If you're low carb skip the rice that goes with it. Appetizers that are must get every-time we go is chicken skewers and beef in grape leaves. Great, apps. with amazing sauces. Owners are local family and couldn't be more generous and down to earth. If you can't tell this place is the best you'll ever have in Frederick! My wife and I visited this restaurant on Saturday afternoon and found it to be a pleasant experience. Decorated very nicely. Very comfortable seating arrangements. I don't think that the service could not have been much better than what we received. I thoroughly enjoyed my appetizer of the summer rolls with the peanut dipping sauce. I also had a bowl of Soup which I also found to be of a significant proportion for a small order. I had the entree of caramelized catfish with white rice which was delivered to the table in a cast iron pot. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was I felt the cocktails were a bit over priced. 1 Mai Tia and 1 Long Island Ice Tea $17.00. They were okay but I've had better. They were training a new bartender I think. I will return next time I'm in Frederick Maryland if for no other reason the quiet and enjoyable atmosphere. read more

This is the sister location of Lucky Corner downtown. We love having a Lucky Corner on both sides of town. There's usually no, or very short, wait time for a table here. From my knowledge, they have the same menu here as the other location, so we weren't missing out on anything! The food is delicious and always fresh & hot when it comes out to the table. Staff and management are friendly! Even the owners will sometimes come out and greet us. The restaurant is also clean and pretty. This time we had dinner, and there were 6 in our party. We got seated right away. We ordered summer rolls, veggies spring rolls and regular spring rolls for appetizer. The fried egg rolls came out really hot, and they were delicious! For my entree, I had the flash fried tofu, mixed vegetables, with wide noodles in red curry sauce. It was perfectly spicy, not overpowering... and I could still taste all the flavors. My kids had chicken fried rice, and my hubby ordered the veggie fried rice. Mom had the Chilean sea bass and dad had "beef around the corner." Everyone was really pleased with their food! We have a vegan and vegetarian in the family, and Lucky Corner was able to accommodate our diet preferences, which is awesome. We'll be back soon! read more

Went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I've been craving to go back since! Love the pho and the atmosphere is very nice.

Another very good experience in LC. Our favorites are Pork sausage Summer roll and beef in grape leaves. Caramelized Fish was also good but not as good as in some other places we had it. Definitely will be back. read more

My friends and I went to the Grand Opening of the Lucky Corner at West View on Buckeystown pike. There's another lucky corner across town so they opened this second on expanding their business. The inside is a lot more spacious and updated; its beautiful. The service was extremely slow. We sat for 15 minutes solid before we got any water. This trend continued for the entire night. Everyone in my party ordered pho. I've been to a few different pho places and this one ranks about average. The one thing I can say I wish they would do is include more broth. I eat pho for the broth, I feel like it's the best part, but this place doesn't understand my pain lol. I got the vegetarian and it came with lots of veggies which is a huge plus! All in all I will continue to go back for proximity to home being so convenient but they need to work on faster service and increase the distribution of broth, even with the large size (bc I ordered large and it still wasn't enough) read more

Same great flavor as the original location but a much nicer atmosphere. The decor was well though out and is trendy and inviting. The staff was also very friendly and helpful with the menu. The menu is the same as in the original location so all the same great food is there. We got the spicy basil tofu, beef on the corner and shared the sweet and hot and sour soup and everything was so good! Definitely try the hot and sour soup, it's definitely not the traditional sweet and sour soup and doesn't even taste like it but more like a traditional spicy soup. read more

Moving to this area and finding good asian food is difficult! I found this place because a coworker recommended it and I looked at yelp reviews. We were greet as soon as we walked in and were seated. The decor is very modern. The place was well lit and clean! The server came to greet us and then brought us water a few minutes after dropping off the menus. I'm giving this place 4 stars because I can't give 3.5. I got thai iced tea, vegetarian eggrolls and regular pho tai. The iced tea was fine. Just the right amount of tea and milk. The eggrolls were crunchy and delicious. I didn't care for the sweet sauce it was served with. The pho came out and I was skeptical since the last pho place we ate it was terrible! The broth tasted good without anything added to it. However, the noodles were a different story. They were in huge clump at the bottom of the bowl. To make matters worse, the broth wasn't steaming hot like it should be but rather just warm. My fiance ordered nem nuong which he said was good. The main dish for him was bo luc lac. He was surprised that they asked him how he wanted the meat cooked because they usually never ask that anywhere. It tasted pretty good. Overall, service was great and the food was good for not being in Montgomery county. We would come back to restaurant if we ever crave Viet food. read more

Lucky Corner pineapple rice was very good. I highly recommend it for anyone just in the mood for a rice combo.

If I was a restaurant I would want to date Lucky Corner. I don't want to move from Frederick because of this place... I love the elegance of the new location and it's closer to my house.. YESSS! .. I like the booths they have for larger parties.. The staff is exceptional, they make an effort to connect with you. We LOVE LK!!! I think portions may be smaller than the other Lucky Corner (or what they use to be) but I can be okay with that because the flavor IS there.. I have tried every thing on the menu not once have I been disappointed. Fairly priced for a nice sit down dinner, well fairly priced period. Sometimes there's a wait but I guarantee it's worth the wait, going anywhere else is silly because you are doing your hunger wrong!! I could go on forever and tell you every spectacular thing about each dish but I will leave it at you haven't truly lived your life to the fullest unless you've experienced Lucky Corner! read more

I enjoyed warming up having my lunch here. The chicken pho was tasty and had nice size pieces of chicken. The staff was welcoming and friendly. So excited they put a Lucky Corner closer to my husband's office. However, this is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. The service is keeping this from getting 5 stars in my opinion. In addition to being SLOOOOOOOOW, the waitress insulted us by insinuating that we had eaten too much food (an appetizer to share and one entree each). Granted we hadn't eaten breakfast and we finished it all, I don't think that it is appropriate or kind to make your clientele feel like gluttons. However, that aside, the food was fabulous! I think the fish with the basil curry sauce (recommended by our server) was my favorite dish. We also tried the coconut beef bun. Both had a nice light fresh taste. I only wish we had a chance to have some soup and sample some of the spicy meals. Unfortunately for us they were out of duck but we will definitely be going back! Beautiful atmosphere as well, very different from the downtown location. read more
