    One Star - Deceptive Service Practices, Inflated Bills, and Poor Communication…read more I have been a customer at Land Rover Marin for three service visits on my 2024 Range Rover Sport, and after my most recent experience I feel obligated to warn other owners. It started when I called about three warranty issues and a routine service. I was told my car required service every 10,000 miles -- which I later confirmed with Land Rover corporate is completely false. The actual manufacturer service interval is 22,000 miles or 2 years. The 10k visits they've been selling me at over $2,000 each are fluid top-offs and a system check -- not the major service they've been charging for. This is the third time I've paid for one of these unnecessary services. That's roughly $4,000 in potentially fraudulent upselling as I am at 30k miles now. I booked six weeks out to secure a loaner. When I arrived, the loaner I received was dirty, smelly, and required two days of airing out before it was usable. My car sat untouched for two days after drop-off despite the advance booking and after 10 days in their shop still isn't done. Mid-service, I was quoted $2,100 for rear brakes over the phone and approved the work. When I arrived to pick up my car -- 10 days after drop-off -- the brake charge had climbed to $2,800, and a $125 email discount I had been told would be honored never appeared on the bill. When I confronted the service rep, he immediately reduced $600 without hesitation -- as if he already knew the number was wrong. I still ended up paying $100 more than the original quote and the $125 discount wasn't honored. When I pushed back on the service intervals with the service manager -- who was extremely difficult to reach -- his justification was that the dealership has seen five engines fail on these vehicles and he personally has had to call customers to tell them Land Rover won't honor their warranty. This is a scare tactic. Land Rover corporate confirmed to me directly that warranty compliance requires the manufacturer's intervals, not an arbitrary dealership schedule. I still need to return to address two unresolved warranty issues, but after that I will not be back. I am actively considering filing complaints with the Bureau of Automotive Repair and the Better Business Bureau. Owners of newer Range Rover models: call Land Rover corporate and verify your actual service intervals before authorizing any work here.

Christine was incredibly personable and easy to relate to right from the start. Our test drive felt more like catching up with a friend than a typical dealership experience. We spent the time talking about our lives, sharing career experiences, and discussing great approaches to living. With her background in engineering and mine in IT, we immediately found a lot of common ground. We ended our time with a genuinely fond farewell and a warm invitation to return. Behind the scenes, Jean-Pierre completely bent over backwards to make this deal happen. I was looking for a very specific car that wasn't even on their lot or listed on their website. Not only did he manage to track down the exact model I asked for, but he also secured the absolute best price for it. When it came time for the paperwork, he made sure I was in and out quickly while ensuring I had a full, transparent understanding of exactly what I was paying for. Not many people can pull all of that off so seamlessly. Acura of Marin delivers outstanding performance, and Christine and Jean-Pierre are just all-around great people. I already know exactly where I am going when it's time to buy the real car of my dreams: a brand new, fully loaded black on black Acura Integra Type S. After a no pressure conversation, and time to think, I decided to consign the car with Cars Dawydiak. The level of service I received was nothing short of top shelf. Every question that I had received a prompt response. Everything I needed to market this car, and give it its fair due, was handled in a timely manner. Please know that I was someone who could have been taken to the cleaners on this transaction, but Brian's efforts resulted in me getting an excellent price on the car.... and better yet, the car going to a buyer who will love it as much as my father did. I drove over checked out the car, they checked out my trade and we made a mutually beneficial deal. They gave me top dollar for my trade and even helped me secure financing for the new car. No hassles no bullcrap! And... I didn't need to spend hours in their office going back and forth feeling like I was being taken for a ride, like other dealers. This is how car buying should be. Cars Dawydiak has a great team from Mike Leddy, Michael Balboa, Brian, their tech John, and of course the awesome White Lab shop dog "Cooper" I was treated with great respect and I have to say I've made new car friends at Dawydiak! I have been a customer of theirs since 2022 and I have never been disappointed with their service. I drive a lot, so I have been there relatively frequently. They truly look out for both your car and your wallet. A few months ago, out of curiosity and convenience, I went to a dealership in Sacramento. The staff members were much less welcoming. Ultimately, they tried to charge me over three times what I ended up paying in Marin for necessary jobs, and they didn't even provide reasonable videos / pictures or offer to take me to the garage so that I could see things myself. That experience only confirmed what I have been telling people for three years: I don't plan to take my vehicle anywhere else. I CANNOT RECOMMEND JAGUAR MARIN ENOUGH! If you are able to get your car serviced here, you are extremely fortunate. You will be treated the right way, which sets them apart from just about every other business in the automotive industry. Without hesitation, I drive from Sacramento when it's time for some work to be done, whether it's just an oil change or something more complicated. I trust them entirely. They replaced the windshield, and went much further. They tracked down any place in the car that had gotten wet, and fixed any damage. Furthermore, they went out of their way to accommodate my schedule and deliver the car to me. I can't recommend them more highly. I have had experience with another dealership in the Bay area, and I'm so glad that I've switched to Jaguar of Marin.
