The Tesla experience started with Cheyenne Lewis who initiated the introduction of Tesla to us. I was a reluctant customer but at no time were we pressurized. Terrible service all around but i will focus only on one material fraudulent act. I paid for my service in person yesterday. Confirmed it went through on my American Express card and left. When i got home someone had charged almost double the same service charge on a separate Am Ex entry. I called and left three voice mails for Jason, the service rep who charged my first payment and could not get a return phone call. After spending many hours with Am Ex and calling the service department for two days without a return call, I finally got ahold of Jason who denied getting my voice mail message (so either not telling the truth or Tesla doesn't listen to voice mails when you leave them) and then telling me that he would fix the "clerical error". He advised me that to fix the clerical error he had to talk to his manager and to give him "an hour or so" to have the charge removed. As of the sending of this review i have not been notified by Tesla or Am Ex that the second, unauthorized charge has been removed. read more

This place is by far the worst service experience I've ever had. So much worse than any other dealer I've dealt with in 35 years of owning cars. Some examples: it takes many weeks to get an appointment and our last two appointments (after waiting several weeks) were abruptly cancelled by the dealership the day before the appointment. Essentially, you can't get an appointment. After waiting a couple months at this point they said the car was done and when we arrived it was NOT done - we have to make another appointment to get it fixed. Seriously?! This is compounded by the fact that our Tesla has many quality problems. The cover wore off the steering wheel in 18 months, the lift gate latch broke, the rear doors frequently break and won't open, the rear seats fail, the microphone for the voice activated commands (which is nearly a hard necessity given the car has no control stalks) breaks regularly. I've taken this car in for warranty service more in the last 3 years than in my 35 years of Toyota, Subaru and Lexus ownership...combined. read more

I bought a Performance Model 3 for my son from existing inventory to take advantage of the end of quarter incentives of 3 month free supercharging and $3,000 off if you choose existing inventory. I was immediately greeted by Wyatt. He helped me locate my son's car and helped with the trade in process. He also removed my old plates. As I was going through the pickup inspection (look for a list online), I noticed that the key cards wouldn't work. They quickly figured out they had the wrong keys since the serial numbers were so close. Ironically when I walked up to the car, the Tesla app prompted me to pair my phone as a key! This buying experience is way better than a traditional stealership. Since I have never driven a Tesla, Wyatt walked me through many of the key features. At no point did I ever feel rushed. Tips: Trade in all managed on the App: I had a 2017 Mazda 3 trade in, Tesla offered me more than Carvana! The convenience of not having to deal with the selling process is worth it. I also only had one key! A replacement key is over $200! Teslas will never have that issue. I also had a minor scrape on the bumper- I only took one pic on the app and the quote didn't change. Spend $12 at a car wash and be sure to empty all your stuff. (Garage door opener, sunglasses, charger, deactivate fastrak) Charging I had a home charger installed. But if you have a dryer near your garage, buy the mobile connector. I have a friend who only uses superchargers, but that can reduce your battery life. Curb rash Back in whenever possible, the cameras will help! Otherwise triple check as you get used to a different car! Take lots of pics The excitement can be overwhelming and you can miss things. I found Zero odd panel gaps! Tesla has improved their quality a lot. The Model 3 seems just as solid as a Model Y. PPF If you plan to get it, do it sooner than later before you get rock chips, scratches etc. I would love to buy at this location again if it was closer. The Colma or Millbrae location is way closer and I hope they will be as good as this one as I plan to replace all my gas cars with Teslas. Simple easy! Like going to the Mac store! Assuming you know what you want they will set up a test drive for you based on the specs you desire. They can answer solar questions as well a huge plus! This isn't a lot where there is inventory. However where they are helpful is answering all the intangibles aka what county city etc discounts may apply (each county is different) other incentives depending on income, driving habits etc. Rob was very helpful and patient as Bae and I bombarded him with all types of questions. Frankly however, the car speaks for itself! Quiet powerful comfortable easy to drive (even a selection of fart sounds)... why I have no idea! Bae was hugely skeptical. My lease on the current whip isn't done for six months. But she was so impressed. She said I should go ahead and order. Yeah I was cruising 90 on 101 for a stretch and she had no idea. I do that in the sports car and she's white knuckling it why swearing like a drunken sailor to slow the F down! Set an appointment on line with Rob and back n forth over test to pin it down, drove up, was welcomed warmly: they took down my license, drove up the model I asked for; gave me the card fob key and said see ya in 30 minutes or so. The Location isn't in the mall but in a separate building where they have several cars in the lot (apparently for specific user test drives etc.) on the west side of 101 next to Land Rover on Casa Buena drive. This is a unique auto buying experience for sure! Credit card deposit fill out some on line forms with my own phone, a Hundi down and my Tesla is ordered! If it was any easier it might be criminal! Actually that's how I feel coming out of car dealerships. You go in feeling like you are walking into a bazar on some crazy street market anywhere on the world. Aka dickering and negotiating and haggling is part of the deal! Thank God not at Tesla. Placed an order for a Model Y to be shipped to this location. Upon doing a walkthrough of the car: 1. Huge rock chip on windshield 2. Multiple rock chips in front of car 3. Side panel has visible evidence of warp 4. Inside of car was filthy 5. Wet spots on inside panels There was an appointment for that car to be serviced that day, and they didn't have the decency to have that done before we arrived. The only console in the car when opened was littered with what appeared to be sand or dirt. The sales agent was not in the least bit apologetic when we said we were going to cancel. In fact, he didn't even follow up with us in the showroom. Just stayed in the front counter and waited for us to approach him. Didn't offer any type of solution and instead said "you can open up the Tesla app and look for other inventory." I've bought used cars from Mercedes and BMW and received phenomenal service during the sale and after. Tesla's are not cheap new or used. I am new to the EV market so I decided to go with what I thought was the most popular brand, Tesla. Purchasing the car was exciting and extremely convenient with the app. The process was straightforward and easy. While trying to decide which model I wanted to purchase everyone I spoke with over the phone was helpful. Unfortunately, I do not remember anyone's name. The person who helped me the most was with the following phone number, (510) 345-1536. This person did a great job. I decided to purchase the Tesla Model Y and it was available at the Tesla store located in Corte Madera. I got the address from Yelp which sent me to their old address. I was scheduled to pick up the car at 6 p.m, two hours before they closed. The store was small but clean. I walked in and wasn't greeted by anyone. I was the only customer in the store and I had to ask for help. All the employees were just standing around or on their cell phones. I saw they had snacks and coffee but I was not sure if it was for the employees or for customers. A coffee would have been nice because i drove a long way to get there. I was told they were going to finish up my paperwork so I took this time to look around. I had to ask someone to help me because I didn't know anything about the car. The person was nice but only showed me a couple of things and walked away. The employees started cleaning and getting ready to close the shop. Even though there was still over an hour until they were supposed to close. I was informed my car was ready and I just had to acknowledge it on the app. I told the guy I haven't even seen the car. They apologize and pulled my car to the front. Again, they told me to acknowledge it on the app and I would be done. I told them I wanted to physically see the car before I signed anything. The guy said okay and he would be inside the store if I had any questions. They made me feel rushed. So I'm outside not knowing anything about the car. All I could do was make sure there wasn't any damage. As soon as I walked inside i was informed to acknowledge the app. This time I acknowledged it because i felt rushed. The second I signed it they said congratulations and they all disappeared. They locked the doors and left. My car was in the middle of the parking lot and I didn't even know how to get in it. I had to google how to do everything, literally everything. I felt stranded. I cant imagine what i would have done in the dark if i didn't use google. The employees at this store acted like i was inconveniencing them. So long story short purchasing the car was easy but the customer service from the Corte Madera location was very disappointing and an absolute nightmare. Dropped off my car to fix a small dent that was there at delivery. The customer service was very minimal. Their service entrance was blocked by cars even though there was plenty space to move forward. The service person that took my car left me standing outside my car for a while I would have preferred to go inside to a waiting area, I finally went back inside my car. The loaner they gave me was filthy I heard a service person tell a man the loaner he was getting was a little dirty but that it "served its purpose". We'll mine was too, bird poop, so many cobwebs they were covering the side mirrors and would not fly away in the freeway. I tried to clean the windshield and there was no washer fluid. When I picked up my children they reported that there were cobwebs inside the car and she had to clean them off as she came in. There was also a crack on the glass roof. I was embarrassed to drive around I this car. Pick up was terrible I could not find my car the app would not show me where it was and the pick up button in the app was disabled. I finally found my car and even though I was in the car waiting to drive away I tried to call for help since I could not see anyone around, I was sent to voicemail and it was full. I finally found someone and the person with them was also having trouble picking up it turns out is something on their end. The repair looked good but what was supposed to be a pleasant experience turn out to be very stressful. read more

This Marin dealership had such negative reviews, I wish I had read them before we agreeing to take delivery of our car here. I have just spent 2.5 hrs on the phone trying to figure out why the Tesla app is telling us that we need to submit the payment but when I try to find a link to allow us to process the payment I find none. Called Marin talked to 2 people who sent me to Tesla customer service and at the end I was transferred back to Marin. The last person I spoke to, Dominique Alexander, talked to me like I was wasting her time in a stream of belittling remarks and when I finally asked her if I was bothering her, she said I was being rude and hung up the phone on me!! I'm still in shock. So, beware. If you have a choice, go to Walnut Creek, San Jose or anywhere else. It will be worth the extra miles just so you're treated with courtesy. read more

This review is for the repair shop in Casa Buena Dr in Corte Madera, CA. About a month ago we brought in for a few repairs. First of all it took us 2 months to get a non negotiable appointment. We got there on a friday morning at our appointment time and they informed us the car would not be even looked at till Monday! I say why have an appointment then and we will bring the car back. They say " you will lose your place in line". Really?? It turned out they did not replace the parts they were supposed to and they just oiled one part when I was told by our mobile repair that this part would need to be replaced. The attitude matched the "anti service". Horrible service and would never ever recommend this place. I since have made an appointment to finish the repair in Vallejo. So far they are very pleasant. Efficient process, very accommodating (they were able to squeeze me in late in the day on Sunday for an earlier delivery appt when I mentioned I would be in a bind without a second car in the family for the week ahead). They also correct any issues quickly and efficiently. For example, the trunk cover wasn't in the car when I picked it up and I didn't notice that until I got home. Came in two days later and they handed me a new one right then and there. Both Brandon in the showroom and the service techs are great. I'd recommend getting your car here any day. read more

My sales rep, Amanda Goldenberg, gave me fantastic service from our first interaction through the process of checking all the boxes required to complete the transaction (including arranging 3rd party financing). She made the process as easy and as joyful as it could be, and I feel so fortunate to have had her as my rep for this process. I did something which I usually don't do and that is "buy a car without sleeping on it!" In other words think it through... I placed my order in April 2019 (within an hour of my test drive) for a series 3 and got it within 10 days from that point on everything related to it has been despicable I have had two minor accidents when it's been parked and it takes months to get the parts to repair Tesla has the most horrible supply chain in the world and after a tiny rear end accident in a parking lot on December 4, my body shop in San Rafael has still not gotten all of the parts to repair the car My second biggest complaint is every time there is an automatic upgrade to the software, the screen and positioning of all dashboard tools changes They don't summarize what has changed since the upgrade and they leave it to you to figure it out. The other day I had to pull off the side of the road and spent 10 minutes trying to find out why my tire pressure was low and how to find out which tire was the culprit Elon Musk is just like Dyson ( who makes bag less vacuum). They are all form over function - it looks great but the vacuum works horribly and the car is no better So don't buy a Tesla or a Dyson. Tesla if you're listening where are the parts for my minor repair we're going now on 57 days since they've been ordered? Get your damn act together! I read an article the other day about mask stating that he felt his stock was overpriced - it certainly is. Bought my model 3 here a year and a half ago when they just opened this sales/service site. It has been increasingly better service as they have expanded and matured their service business. The staff are helpful and quick. When was the last time you had the front desk person remember you and your name from only one previous routine meeting? Love they are open 7days/week and service appts have less backlog now. The service people ( thanks AJ!) even helped me with a software download glitch on the spot on a Sunday: 3 tech people, fixed completely and no charge! Never had better service than that in 45yrs of driving. For reference, State Farm sent me to a "tesla approved" Autobody shop and after 2 appt. Changed estimates ( they clearly didn't know Teslas) they told me it would take months for parts. That's when I told State Farm no, I'm going to Tesla Corte Madera and sooo happy I did- they had all the parts in less than 2 weeks. read more

Stopped in on November 17th to check out the Teslas in person. I didn't have an appointment, as at the time I didn't know I'd needed one. I had just finished my stay in Corte Madera to visit SF and Muir Woods, and stopped here on my way out. The place was clean, and there was maybe one couple on the showroom, and three sales advisors at the desk. No one approached me, I only heard from anyone to tell me I can't close the X doors for safety reasons (thanks for scolding me rather than just showing me the cars), and when I asked someone how I could go about arranging a test drive. They were booked for this morning, but I was going to start heading to Gilroy, so that's where it was left at. I was so disappointed by the lack of interest in a potential customer. I ended up calling the Fremont Factory and scheduling a test drive as I would be passing the area. I had an amazing experience there! And it took everything in me to not order then and there. I ended up ordering my Tesla Model 3 on 11/25 (and since then my husband has ordered his Y), but if this place had been kinder I'd have made another trip up there to take delivery. I don't understand all the negative reviews. I had a fun test drive of the model 3 with Ian, I believe. Then I went again with my brother and Linda helped us and I made an order. She was kind, tentative, and knowledgeable. Everyone was friendly and it couldn't have been simpler. my particular configuration was available for delivery in less than a week. I went to the San Francisco store to collect my vehicle. It was simple. Everyone there was helpful and friendly. Brian showed me how to work the controls of a model 3 while I waited for my appointment time with Tyler. Tyler helped me complete the paperwork which didn't take very long, and then showed me my particular car. I spent a little bit of time getting acquainted with it then drove home. I'm a chiropractor and absolutely love the seats in this car. It's quiet and comfortable and the power is astonishing. I don't normally write reviews, but I do read them. I was quite puzzled by the negative reviews that I saw--but I'm glad I went to the Corte Madera store anyway because I received excellent service. read more

Hands down the best car I have ever road in or owned. Just got back from 9,000 mile trip with my Model 3. The auto pilot allowed us to not drive 80-90% of the time. The over the air updates and having internet always connected for ever if outstanding The air conditioner and heating is high tech wonder. The audio system is better than home systems and can request any song and because connected to internet will play it. This car is the safest car on the road. Charging was trouble free with Supercharger stations less than every 150 miles apart. I charged up to 80% since that is fast 15-20 min and was on my way I will never buy another gas car again. At home I just plug it in and by morning it is charged. Cost is 1/4 the cost to fill up a gas car. I get 320 mile range, so never worry about running out. read more

I wish I would have checked Yelp before setting foot into this dealership. Worst customer service ever. We were scammed into the wrong model of Tesla. Told they would deliver it to our house. We spent 2 entire days waiting for the car to show up only for them to tell us we had to drive to San Francisco to get it. When my husband brought it home, it was the wrong one and that we needed to exchange it for the correct model. Since it was New Years weekend, and we were going out of town, we would deal with it after our trip. When we got back, someone from Tesla emailed us about test driving another Tesla. For some reason, this person didn't know we had already purchased one?!? and I told them we wanted to exchange our new Tesla for a different model. She was very nice, and said they would do it in the email and set up an appt for us in Corte Madera. When I walked into the Corte Madera location, the first person who came up to me treated me very rudely. I said I had an appt. and was waiting for my husband, and he said I didn't have one. I had to pull up the email to show him on my phone. Then I was ignored. No please take a seat etc. my husband came, and we tried to discuss our plan with a salesperson reiterating what the other salesperson in the email said we could do. He was extremely rude and demanded to see the email. When I pulled it up to show him the conversation, he said the sales person who emailed me was wrong and couldn't honor what she wrote in the email. Not only that, he said I should know better if I read about Tesla on social media and the internet. He was practically yelling at us and said in no certain terms could they exchange this car for a different model. I said it would be better for us to have the manger call me. The sales manager offered 10k less than we paid for it a week later with 470 miles on it even though we wanted to trade it for the model we thought we were getting. They told us in an extremely rude manner, it was not possible and they couldn't help us unless we took the 10k hit on the car and we also could not get our trade in back. He finally said our only option was to sell it private through a 3rd party. The car is literally 1 week old and barely driven. I could see maybe taking a 2-3k hit on the car...especially since Tesla lowered the price of our model literally a couple days after we bought ours, without telling us that would happen, but they wouldn't budge. Were very rude every step of the way, and completely unhelpful. I'm not sure if this is just the corporate culture in this particular Tesla dealership, but I wouldn't buy anything from anyone at this location ever. Compete bait and switch. Generally speaking, when I walk into a car dealership and announce that I am ready to drop $60000 on one of their cars, I expect some degree of helpfulness or at least a smile. Instead I was told, Oh a Model 3 .... we mainly handle Model S and X here but here's a computer screen and you're welcome to place your order. "We don't know anything". When I asked if I could speak to someone who _did_ know something, a ?manager? emerged and proceeded to tell me that he too knew nothing, but I found him noticeably harsher and more arrogant than the first associate. In fairness I was offered a bottle of water. It would seem Tesla feel like they have their customer base assured, simply because there is no real competition. As a shareholder and reservation holder who lined up at 6am years ago to support Tesla in demonstrating the - then - trust that a viable car would in time be built and delivered, I now feel that trust is undermined by the completely offhand way I was treated. Tesla Motors - No space for there customers - Car Dealers Near Me - Corte Madera, California

The top part of this review is for Tesla Corte Madera and the bottom is for the Burlingame service center... Tesla Corte Madera sales: I saw some of the negative reviews on here and they are real head scratchers... my partner and I purchased a Model 3 and Y with William (Bill) S. and had a flawless experience. He was super available (even texting his on his day off), very knowledgable and was there supporting us during the entire experience (and even after with answers to questions). The touchless delivery went off smoothly and the few issues with the car were resolved quickly and easily (see review blow). I also have to give an extra shout out to Daniel (Danny) King the store manager. I had some complicated issues with my purchase as I was using an extra grant that was available to me, he jumped through hoops to get the proper paperwork filed on time for me to benefit from an extra 5k grant. Both of these fellows seem like they genuinely love what they do and care about the customer- not always the case in life, and in this situation, very appreciated. Tesla Burlingame service center: After receiving my Tesla, there were a couple things (to be expected) that needed to be touched up on the car. I made an appointment using the Tesla app to have the repairs/ touchups performed. Yan was my service manager. He greeted me enthusiastically, answered all of my questions in a clear concise way that made me feel this guy really knew his stuff (and even educated me about my car)- much appreciated! He also provided me with options to pick up the car after they were closed and a $100 UBER credit. What I was most impressed by was that Yan (just like my sales people) seemed to really be knowledgable and proud of Tesla and was really there for his customers. Thanks Yan! read more

I had a horrible experience at this place. I walked in and asked a guy, who said his name is Detrick, to show me the Model 3. When I asked him to explain the features of the car, his answer has: "This is a car. You can drive it to places you want. What else do you want to know?" Really? This was so rude and disrespectful. He didn't want to say anything about the car. He said my questions were too broad. I have read other bad reviews here with the same name Detrick. If this is the same person, I wonder why he is still in contact with customers providing such a disrespectful customer service. read more

I had the same experience with Dietrich today as one of the other reviewers. I wanted to talk to him about buying a new versus a used Tesla, As series 3 vs the model S. He was so unfriendly and so uncooperative that I walked out. Given all the good things that I have read about Tesla I was very surprised and disappointed. read more

We really enjoyed working with the staff at the Corte Madera Tesla. We had a great sales associate, Dietrich, who helped us in the initial sales process. When we had an issue come up after the sale, Jay, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure that the issue was resolved to the best of his ability. We sincerely appreciated his willingness to extend himself by going the extra mile and to make sure that we were happy with the end result. Additionally, he was great at keeping in touch throughout the process. His actions renewed our faith in the brand and we will definitely be recommending others to go to Corte Madera if they are interested in a Tesla. read more
