We found a CPO 2025 Cooper S at MINI of Marin. We took it for a test drive and it handled wonderfully. I was confident the car would be in good order because of the Certified Pre Owned status. The dealer examines everything about the car and makes sure it's as good as new. In fact, CPO cars have an extra year of bumper to bumper warranty than the typical 3 year. Win! The prices at MINI of Marin were very fair. The sales advisor, sales manager and finance manager were all friendly and very knowledgeable. What a relief! I dislike pushy sales people. We recently purchased a new/used Mini from carvana. Unfortunately there was an outstanding recall when we purchased it, so we scheduled warranty work thru M.O.M. We are prior mini owners but it's been a few years since we went to mini of Marin. Wow- the service was spectacular as I had remembered. Scheduling was easy, with several time slots offered. We were also given opportunity to schedule a loaner car which was awesome since we live about 40 from the dealership. On arrival there was little to no wait time. We were checked in promptly & Heidi went over the details of the loaner. We chose the $45 fee option which covers gas so we didn't have to worry about a refill later since we weren't sure how long the repair would take. We were provided with a 2025 John cooper works 4dr. Wow! There's been a few upgrades since my 2007 Cooper S. (Fun and beautiful car, and appreciate that the loaner was nice. Of course the last time we had a loaner from them we purchased a countryman so good marketing there too). Our technician was super. We were thankful for the video he sent which went over the details of the repairs and some problems we didn't know we had. (Our new car had tires in the front that were the wrong size and the ones in back were on the way out). Bummer, but we were glad to have the info and decided to purchased the 4 new tires, and new bezels for the headlamps which had been damaged by the prior owners. The computer update was covered under recall and the basic warranty covered the replacement of a rubber molding strip that had come undone near the passenger rear window . They were able to complete the job in one day, which was unexpected. All in all another great experience with Mini of Marin. He was very helpful, calm and not-pushy-at-all with the ordering process, and the car arrived when he estimated it would. Once the car was delivered, he also took the time to give us an in-depth tutorial on the car's various (and somewhat complex) systems and controls. My wife loves her new Mini Convertible -- it is a lot of fun to drive, especially with the top down. That said, Mini/BMW could improve the driving experience (and enhance safety) by returning some car functions (e.g. HVAC and stereo) back to physical buttons. The all-encompassing touch-screen center console system is attractive but sometimes difficult to operate while driving. read more

Man oh Man! What a wild ride it's been! Thanks to Mini of Marin, I've been keeping my 2008 Classic Clubman, with John Cooper Works package, on the road, long past its expiration date. The day before Thanksgiving was the ultimate expiration date for dear Mug Z -- halfway between SF and LA on Hwy 5. My service dog and I were on our way to a "vacation weekend" in So Cal. Orlando, Jesus, Heidi and the entire service team held my hand from the moment the challenge began. Orlando found a specialty shop, close to my family's home. Once it was clear Mug Z was not coming home with me, the entire team (Frank, Jesus, Orlando, Heidi, Birendra, John and Lauren) went to work to get me into a new vehicle, in a way that I could afford. On Friday, Dec 6, Birendra (aka "B") and the sales team helped me select a 2024 Clubman S-All4 (the last production of that model). I went to Marin, Berkeley, and San Francisco, always circling back to Marin every month and watching online very closely.  Tess was the first person to help me. I appreciated that she was a female (like myself) and was honest and straightforward. Living further away, she kept communication open, went out of her way for updates and figured out "my style" of car. As I did my research, she was always able to answer my questions, point out differences in cars I was comparing and give me her opinion as she has owned several minis herself.  At the end of the day she is a sales person, but a great one!
