Great thin crust pizza, try the veggie lovers, its fantastic. Oh and you can order Schlitz in a bottle. Yeah. The atmosphere downstairs is the best but its teeny tiny so you might end up sitting upstairs. They are one of the ONLY places in Btown to take reservations so make them and sit downstairs. Some great beers on tap if roughing it with Schlitz isn't your style. Fantastic choice to eat if you're heading out to the coliseum or just want something in your belly before bar hopping the downtown circuit. read more

Definitely go there for the pizza and the atmosphere. It's a small place but some of the best pizza in town. Super thin crust that unlike most other places does not taste like the cardboard under it. I won't go as far to say it's the best pizza I have ever had but it is top 3. I especially like sausage and black olives for toppings and have yet to try anything else to list. This is one of those places like Jimmy John's that everyone seems to absolutely love but is really just "meh." My only real experience with the place is their pizza. Their pizza is ok. This is the home of the best, thinnest crust, pizza ever. I usally go with sausage and pepperoni, but I have ordered the cheese pizza as an appetizer as their dinners are great too. Decent beer selection. Located in the historic downtown area of Bloomington and has been here forever. read more

Long story short - server forgot to turn in my order; never followed-up with our party when delivering the other two orders; 50 minutes after original order am simply provided the option of placing my order again or ordering something different; small apology but no offer of comp'ing a thing; on the way out the door the owner happened to be cleaning a table near us - he offered to "make it up next time". A more empty promise I've never heard - dude doesn't know me and we only frequent there once every 3/4 months. Mistakes are forgivable ... lack of sincerity in the follow-up unforgivable. Went to Lucca for the first time, and got a salad. They may have good pizza, but their salads are horrible. I could only stomach about 1/4 of it. The chicken tasted like it was cooked with fish, the vegetables were cut huge, and the veggie combo was so strange...celery?? And the price was ridiculous--$12 for a repulsive salad?!? I may go back to Lucca, but never for the salad. And my friend got the chef salad, and hers was no better. read more

I ordered two large sausage pizza and was expecting a whole lot better than I got.... The crust was grainy and they could have put more sausage on the pizza...Many of the squares did not have any sausage on it.... and the taste was so so...If you ever visit Chicago and want a Fantastic Pizza at almost 1/2 the price...but way more flavor and sausage...You have to visit La Cocos Pizza restaurant on West 47th. street... Lucca Grill 6/18/2017 My husband wanted to go to Lucca's for Pizza for Father's Day. We called to see how busy they were, she said how many, told her 2. She said if you can get here soon that is fine but we need the table by 6:15. They have done this to us before. We got there around 4:30 PM. He wanted a thin pizza with pepperoni & double mushroom. The server came back to our table to clarify & verify the order. When we got the pizza, it had very few pepperoni & mushrooms on it, let alone the double mushroom that we ordered. We were told they were afraid they would run low on these ingredients so they wouldn't charge us extra for double mushrooms. Ok, can they not run to a grocery store & get more ingredients so they won't run out???? & what was their excuse for not having enough pepperoni on it? Looked more like a cheese pizza. Poor planning!!! Father's Day comes every year, anytime you have a holiday or a special day coming up, wouldn't you think you would plan for that in your food supplies & menu items?? Their owner was behind the bar, however, he sent a young girl over to address the problem. It was was all handled in a very unprofessional way. The customer clearly did not count in their establishment. Unacceptable customer service experience. Sad but true. read more

Showed up with 17 people at 730 PM on a Thursday night. Place was packed. They didn't think they could sit us. As we were leaving one of the owners Johnny literally chased us into the parking lot and said they can accommodate us. Assigned Amy who seemingly does everything there. Definitely my favorite pizza place in Bloomington/Normal. The thin crust pizza with fresh toppings is delicious every time I am there. I also love their breadsticks and the cheese dipping sauce. They also have some great beers on tap. A definite bonus is the atmosphere in Lucca. The downstairs is small and it is a tight fit, but the old decorations and bar make the downstairs a great dining experience. On busy nights the upstairs dining room is opened for dining, but it is not nearly the same atmosphere. So, if you are going on a weekend night, you may want to call ahead to get a reservation for downstairs. read more
