The thing is the first time I was here the experience was very good. Both times the same guy serviced me I think his name was Festum. The first time everything went smoothly and he also offered me a discount which was awesome. The second time around no discount was offered and he tried to convince me that my Oil Drain Bolt needed to be replaced. I occasionally do my own oil changes, so I know that this is not the case. I did inspect the bolt afterwards, and it certainly didn't need replacing. The only conclusion that I can come up with is that they just wanted to upsell me on that, and it's not even a huge extra cost, it's just that certainly it's something that didn't need to be done, and I don't appreciate trying to be forced into something that's clearly a lie. I understand that these places make their money partially through upselling, and sometimes that's alright if it's concerning things that actually would help the vehicle like changing dirty transmission fluid, but not if it doesn't need to be changed! That's essentially, let's say a lower form of fraud. read more

This was seriously the best oil change experience I've ever had. Service was extremely quick (no cars in front of us on a Friday afternoon), prices were good, and staff was very friendly! To top it off, there was a cookout with burgers,hot dogs, chips, cookies, etc. for the community free of charge..and VR inside! Thank you so much for making our visit an enjoyable one. I have waited a while to update my review after a second visit to Quick Lube Plus. A bit of history first..... as you can see I had already written a review that wasnt great, but wasnt bad either. About 3 months after i wrote this, my phone rang and it was the owner of QLP. He told me that he had read my review online - had a staff meeting about my experiences and then he very kindly offered to give me a gift certificate for a full oil change free of charge. Now bear in mind, I certainly didnt expect it- and I also didnt give a terrible review - just an honest account of what my experience was. The owner ( Mitch) had expressed how valuable it was to have an independent review a secret shopper almost, that could give a first hand account of his business. I was very impressed that the owner of a business would take the time to read a review and look at it as an opportunity to improve and make his business better. I was going to give another review pending my next oil change, but havent had one yet, I have however, been in today for something else. So today I was in to get a brake light changed on my VW Beetle. Prior to going in, I was thinking Oh god, I will have to go to the dealership and its going to cost me a fortune. I looked online and saw that they change bulbs here so I popped in. I was looked after by Justin and Mike ( ?) and they were so cool. Really helpful, really nice and even though it was a pain getting the bulb changed - they did it and looked after my car like it was thier own. This whole thing only cost me 10 bucks! What a deal. They also cleaned my windshield. I was going to get my oil changed too, as it was getting close to needing to be changed ( actually about 1500 miles under). Justin said that my oil level was fine, and there was no need yet. I appreciated the honesty. So my verdict is this. Any owner who takes the time to reach out to customers and follow up and then offer a second chance to gain customer loyalty deserves my business. My experience was excellent-a friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff. Especially helpful was Bruce who did the work on my car. I had all the fluids changed on my 01 Pathfinder, expensive but what a difference in how the car runs. The cabin filter needed to be replaced but that part was not in stock. Bruce offered to install it for free if I could find that part which I did finally. I took the vehicle in today and Bruce remembered me and his promise. He happily installed the filter (not an easy operation) and did not charge me for the service. I will continue to patronize this establishment. They give one a feeling of confidence that they know what they are doing. read more

Quick Lube Plus (QLB) redefines the definition of "SERVICE". For the longest time i have been a Dealer serviced only type of person. I drive a Jaguar and i try to use only premium products as repair cost on this vehicle could get astronomically high. I was browsing around and i saw this joint that used Motul, a highly respected brand in Europe. At first i was hesitant because the car tool Mobil 1 from the start. My first time at QLB i spoke with a technician named Darren and he gave me service and information above and beyond any dealership (Jaguar Calgary, LoneStar Mercedes, Royal Oak Audi, and Royal Oak Nissan) had ever given me. I was impressed with the product knowledge Darren had. With his recommendation, i did try motul. 3 months after my first oil change with QLB, I returned to and was helped by their manager Bruce and technician Adam. The expectation set by Darren from my last visit was very commendable but, to my surprise, Adam and Bruce surprised me, yet again, with their outstanding customer-centric approach. My experience with QLB makes me think twice about where i go for my auto maintenance despite what others' perspectives are of fast lube joints like Mr. Lube, Minit Lube, and etc. QLB, without question, has one of the city's laudable customer-centric service, and top notch products. I already do recommend QLB to all my friends and family. read more

Safe according to Covid, but they stripped the bolt on my Durango, then when I asked them to use the impact on it he said he tried but I didn't hear them use it; they stripped it trying to turn it by hand then pretended to use the impact. The bolt was stripped halfway down the head, which means they didn't have the socket on fully. I've used them before, but this was dirty pool. read more

By far the best service I've had at an business like this! I brought my car (it was a repeat visit) to get an oil change today and the technician very kindly informed us that we hadn't put very many kilometres on since my last oil change. Because of the oil that I use he told me that I could postpone if I liked. I made my decision and he carried on without any problems. I've been to this shop 3 times during the last year. The first time was good, second time was better, but the third time was terrible. So, it really depends on who will be working on your car. The first two times I was clearly explained what was going on and why I had to change my power steering fluid for example. A good explanation for what I they say I need is important to me. When they don't do it, it makes me feel like they are incompetent, and don't know what they are talking about. This happened to me yesterday. Anyway, I might go there again for my future oil/filter change and other things again (cause their prices seem to be a bit lower than other shops like Midas), but am not sure if I would really recommend it to other people too. By the way, the no appointment thing is kinda practical, I like it. read more

I got the same coupon the Michael is talking about and I asked them to put synthetic oil and I will pay the price difference.But they just had one brand of synthetic oil, that I have never heard of. So, I decided to use the value of my next coupon (just the money that I had paid for, not the coupon value) to pay for some part of the extra money that I has to pay for synthetic oil, as I didn't want to put an unknown oil into my car for two times. They did not accept it . Their response was not friendly at all and I ended up giving the other coupon to a friend. Changing oil fast and cheap, is something that you can do in so many places, but getting respect is not everywhere! read more

Just thought I woul let people know what they might expect at Quick Lube.. I thought I would try this place as I was not very impressed with the service at their competitors and was thinking this would be a better experience .. Well let me say that the service given to me that day was no better or no worse than other competitors. I was in their at the same time as one other vehicle and they were done well before me and another vehicle came in after me and left before me. After we dicussed what was needed as far as what type of oil and a new air filter the service tech left me and went to work on another vehihicle,I sat there for at least 15 minutes before another tech put in the oil and checked my lights. The other tech came back and installed my air filter. I did not receive the oil I requested but received the Boss Synthetic as apossed to the Mobil 1 I asked for, but at this time I just wanted my service to be done so I could leave. I noticed that the service check list said things were done that I did not see I maybe did not notice but I would like to think I would see someone check my power steering fluid and nothing was done as far as lube locks and hinge as the bill says. In all fairness the tech might have been having a bad day but as far as coming back again I would really have to think if this is the type of srevice I would want to pay for again. Sure its quick but would you go back again if you feel ripped off? Thats exactly what happened today. Went in to get a regular oil change on my base model matrix. After continual sales bombardment of flushing the engine, replace this and that, I stood my ground and declined it all. I just wanted a regular oil change. I was told to wait in the car while they perform on it. A while later it was done and I was handed a bill that is $40 more than what I had expected. Asked them why, they said "Oh your car requires synthetic oil and therefore it is more expensive." 1) I never asked for synthetic oil 2) My car does not 'require' synthetic oil. No where in the manual does it state that. 3) They did not ask if I want to upgrade to synthetic oil This is totally a scam, if they can't rip you off one way, they will in another. For all those who will be going there...don't......or be cautious and extra vigilant otherwise you'll end up paying hundreds more than you intended. read more

I've always believed that the true nature of a business comes out not when you buy a service or product, but when you have problems and how they are handled. I too bought a couple of groupon coupons and the first time everything was fine although I initially choked at the $15.00 price for an extra litre of oil I needed .(Synthetic) Well on Friday I stopped in to use my second coupon and everything went fine - I thought. Then when I went to drive my car on Saturday afternoon, I noticed a puddle of oil in my garage when I backed out. - Fortunately I have a second car so I used it for the weekend. When I had a look, it appeared to be the filter leaking. There was also a cover for the filter which was missing. When I brought the car back to these guys on Tuesday, Bruce, said there was no problem and didn't even apologize for the oil spill in my garage. Apparently they spilled oil on the rock guard and didn't bother telling me about it. The underneath of my car is now completely covered in oil. I was also hoping the cover they didn't put back on had just been forgotten in the shop and they would find it and put it on. He didn't even bother to check and got really confrontational. He said "it is my word against yours" and "you can't prove it" as to the missing cover and then accused me of lying about it. Believe me, I wouldn't bother for a $10.00 part. Sad, as it really could have been taken care of quite easily. This experience is the reason of why I've always taken my car back to the dealer for service - I prefer to deal with someone who is accountable ! Ok here's my experience. I bought two groupons. Took my first car Chev malibu. They wanted to upsell me on a oil flush, which is not recommended by the owners manual. So I said no, then Bruce (the attendant) says you want to drive around with dirty oil? I laughed and said that is why you are chaning it and the filter, well I'm not sure they changes the filter. I took my second car in the next week. Bruce again I tell him all i want is the oil change and he tells me I have to take synthetic. I say no way there is no specification that says synthetic only, he says my manual is wrong.LOL. He says I have to use GM6094m which is the GM standard and is synthetic oil only, which my manual says too. Anyrate I take the synthetic and he says its only 30 dollars more since I had the coupon but he pumps it out of the hose so who knows what I got. I check online and GM6094m is a spec which can be met by many non synthetic oils.... Look these guys might be good if you go for a regular oil change but if you bought the coupon they have to upsell to make some money. Either way leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I will not use them again. read more

Quick Lube Plus had been the place to have oil changes for us for years. However, recently it has changed and when we went there for oil change this week I was very dissapointed to find the gift card I had bought a while ago was no longer honered. I had paid for this card to save money on services on future visits. This is not right to loyal customers that have been using this business for years. There is $63.00 left on my gift card and apparently this value i have previously paid can never be used. Not good customer service to say the least. New management and new business takeover is common these days and the staff and service continues to be excellent @ this business. The dormant gift card value continues to be a sore spot with me however. Tech Fetum always works on our car and we will wait extra time to have him as a tech. He is very friendly and knowledgeable as well as very personable. We will continue to use this oil change business, but will never buy gift cards again. read more
