They took my window sticker for my info and got started on the oil change. They checked my tire pressures and fluid levels as the oil was being changed out, and informed me of everything they were doing. As a girl who is pretty clueless about cars, I like that they're letting you know what's going on! Within 15 mins, oil was changed, I was paid up and rolling outta there. I know some people think $50 is pretty steep for an oil change but I think it's worth it for the convenience. The only down side to this place is that it's right beside the Tim Horton's and they share the same parking lot entrance, so sometimes you're lined up onto the street because you're behind all the people in line for the drive thru BLEH

They were recommended to me by W&B Automotive, when I bought my very first car and I needed Winter Tires. Don was extremely accommodating. Every time I have a flat and need a tire repair, they've always gotten me in right away and gotten it fixed immediately. Sometimes at no-charge even! My most recent experience was today. On Saturday I got a flat tire in Madden, AB and had to get AMA to come change my tire. I tried to get into Canadian Tire to have them fix it, and they told me the hole was "Too big for the plug" and that I needed to buy a new tire. And they were going to charge me a fortune for it because I have 17" low-profile tires. I took it in to Don this morning and he had a look at it and was able to fix it. I ALWAYS recommend OK tire to my friends and colleagues when they ask me where a good place to buy tires is. Even if they live in Calgary, the quality of service is well worth it.

Cons - Couldn't fix misfire problem with 2000 Civic. - Shop and office could be cleaner, but maybe that is a pro and part of the charm. Background on the Civic: I was having it serviced exclusively at W & B along with changing the oil myself. I started getting an occasional odd misfire when accelerating at low RPM. They changed some electrical components and it seemed fixed (or at least greatly improved) for a couple months, but then returned badly. After that they couldn't fix it. I went to another shop in frustration and they couldn't fix it either. I ended up trading in for a new car, even though the Civic had another 5-10 years left in it if that issue was fixed.

I overall had a terrible experience with this sad excuse for a mechanics shop today. The technicians are competent but the owner is a small greedy man. They truly wasted our entire day in the rudest way possible. And i recently found out Shahraz is not even a registered salesperson with AMVIC, and he has not been since 2021!! I had a tire blow out on the highway this morning and i got a temporary tire put on while i was in airdrie. The tire shop told me to get an alignment done because driving on the flat caused some damage. Shahraz told me they had an opening to do my alignment at 2pm, but they said if i drop the car off early they could finish it faster. I dropped the car off at 8:30am and didn't hear back from them until 3:30pm. They called and said they are not interested in actually doing the alignment because of the damage caused by driving on a flat tire. They also demanded 136$ cash to return my girlfriends van to me. If they knew beforehand they did not want to work on damaged cars they shouldn't have accepted the van for the alignment in the first place. I told him we needed the alignment done today to make it back to our city, because I couldn't drive with the damage and no alignment. (Its a 45 minute drive) He initially said it would be no problem, but when i told him I wasn't going to pay 136$ and not have any work done he said I had to pay in full, cash today, or he would keep the car. He said the reason he couldn't do the alignment is because i would somehow sue him for the damage on the car and blame him for the damage. I told him what happened prior and he listed some of the damages on the invoice, so this reasoning doesn't make sense to me. He said the $136 bill was for his time and labour. I asked him what he actually did since he didn't do the alignment and he said he printed the alignment report from his alignment machine and wrote the invoice. I think charging 136 for only writing the invoice and not actually doing work is insane. The most baffling part to me is that he would get into my face yelling about how he should've never touched this car and how trash it is when he never worked on it in the first place. If i could leave 0 stars i could. This is basically extortion. And it is an extremely shady way to operate a business. Next time, i will wait the extra 2 hours for an appointment at Kal tire. Update: my trusted mechanic has identified that the ball joint was not damaged or even warn out. Just the bushings on the lower control arm. Just to add another layer to the plot of incompetence at this shop. I will absolutely be filing with AMVIC and the better business bureau if not refunded because this is ridiculous

He gave me two quotes that I can have a look at. Wow!! There was a winter tire sale buy 3 tires get 4th free! Hubby decides on one and ordered the tires and rims. The sales person told us when they would be in. We made the appointment and in less the 45 minutes our vehicle had the tires on and ready to go! While waiting we were offered gourmet Coffee or Tea or Hot Chocolate. Sat in some comfy well worn chairs and drank my tea. -friendly knowledgeable staff -parking limited -washrooms clean. All in all was very great service. We are now ready for the winter months to come.

All the customer service representatives were quite rude with me. Finally someone who called himself "Jay", though briefly he called himself "Jaydico" (the spelling of which might not be accurate). When I asked him about the tire ad, brought his calculator and just punched in how much I would have to pay for a tire or a set of 4 tires, not decribing the brand, tyre time, etc. He simply refused to tell me about the "Tire Sale" which was advertised outside Lube City. I was patient with him and repeated kept asking me about the details of the sale. Rather he kept saying that I need to pay $700+ for tire changes, the details of which he did not describe, while not answering my question. He said the "Tire Sale" ad means that Lube City sells tires, nothing more. When I insisted, he asked me to come to the office to talk about it. I did not see this a reasonable, so I did not follow him. Finally, he askked me to talk to BDM Mr. Javid Hashimi. I asked Mr Hashmi about the ad, and said that they have some good deals at first, but then again started talking about what I would have to pay, rather than describing the advertised "Tire Sale". Then he asked me that give the phone to "Jay", and came back with the same script as "Jay". He started using foul abusive language and asked me to leave. I made notes about the incident and he came back to appease me, saying that he too is a Muslim, talking in a foreign langauge to break a deal. After leaveig, I took a photo of the ad. He quickly came to engage me, but I did not speak with him and left. I just want Lube City to improve customer service for their own good and do not wish any resolution.

Amazing crew!! I had a fuel line come off while I was driving my son home from school and made a…read moremess of gas everywhere. I was stranded, blocking traffic, no cell phone, no one would stop to help (at first) and everyone was getting angry because I was messing up their day. Two nice men from the City Public Works stopped to let me use their phone and help me get out of the middle of the road for traffic to flow better. The Fire Dept had to come to clean up the mess of fuel and I was going to need a tow. Luckily one of the FD crew was mechanically inclined, knew what to look for and reattached the hose. He then recommended I come see the crew at Smart Auto to get them to check and make sure it was all attached properly and nothing was broken. I arrived at Smart Auto and spoke with Greg who had Grant take my vehicle into the bay and check things out. Grant went over it with me, I verified which hose had come off and he confirmed it was all good, it was just not put back on properly after another mechanic had completed some work but it was back in place now. Grant then washed all the excess spilled fuel from the engine compartment, dried it all up and topped up my Coolant for added measure. Above and beyond in my mind! And then they sent me on my way with a "have a great night!" No charge!!! That's unheard of these days! After an extremely stressful day, this was just the thing I needed to happily get through my evening and renew my faith in humanity. There are some pretty wonderful people in this city and I was lucky enough to meet several of them yesterday including Greg and Grant!! Thank you!!
