Parking is a hassle to find on a weekday evening, but I was curious to try out this place. I ordered the Ruby Oolong Milk Tea with red bean and grass jelly. Unfortunately, it was okay. The tea didn't really pull through and was easily overpowered. This was a snack before getting late dinner, and the red bean and grass jelly was carrying the weight. My friend ordered the Ruby Oolong Iced Tea with boba and unfortunately it wasn't as strong as she preferred. Plus, it was nice that there's a lot more boba, but without the tea, it felt heavy. Lastly, my friend ordered the Dirty Matcha with cream foam. It was near-perfect in taste, but the cream foam was too much and overpowered the drink. I suggest checking out another tea/boba spot if you have the chance. I think the food looks good and might try that out next time. read more

I have two pet peeves when it comes to restaurants. Lack of parking and if they forget my order and they don't start my order until I get there for pick up. I called this shop 3 times before I stopped by around lunch time on a weekday. They never answered. I decided to stop by anyway. I couldn't find parking. I tried going up and down a few blocks. No street parking and no dedicated parking lot. There was paid public parking garage but didn't want to pay for parking for my $7 order. So I never picked up my order but was charged. Having a lack of parking is stressful. Yikes! read more

This is my first time visiting LT9 and I really liked how they also sell good food! I recommend getting the Hainan chicken rice and the pork knuckle rice. Fun fact, the owners mom actually traveled to Singapore to learn how to make the chicken dish! Super impressive! My favorite drink to get here is the hojicha latte with grass jelly! It's super good. This space is also really good for studying or just hanging out. There's a nice couch here and another table that's big enough for a group of friends or family to eat at. read more

I live in Pasadena and have heard about LT9, but never actually stepped foot in it because of how the shop looked on the outside --just didn't look like a legit tea place in my mind. But boy was I wrong, never judged a book by its cover! Today I decided to give it a try because all the other tea shops close to it are actually not that good. I'm Taiwanese so I know my teas and what they should taste like. I ordered the Sun Moon Lake milk tea, no sugar, with grass jelly and almond jelly. The first sip--wow! The tea itself had a very fragrant flavor that lingered and imo better than other popular hyped milk tea places I've tried in the area (Chicha San Chen, Sunright, Torotea). The toppings are yummy, not too sweet and taste like they're made of real ingredients. This place IS legit if you want high quality taiwanese milk teas. read more

Went out of my way to come here for their famous chicken rice dish. Not worth the drive, paid for parking, and 20 minutes wait at 11:20am on a Tuesday. Really good, moist and soft Hainan chicken. However the soup tasted like water and a bit of chicken bullion. I recommend getting the individual meal set. We got the meal set for 2 and it didn't seem any bigger than buying individual. The wait is a bit long but as long as the chicken is good, I'm not complaining. Saw a new boba shop in the area and had to try it out! The store is located in the corner of the street but it's not very obvious it's a boba shop at first glance. I actually walked by it at first and had to backtrack. While they have soft opening signs up, they're not offering any soft opening promotions. They did offer me samples of a tea, milk tea, and pastries though! I ended up ordering the jasmine green milk tea with 50% sugar. It was really good and I liked I can taste the tea flavor! 50% sugar was still pretty sweet though. I liked how they offered to adjust or remake my drink if I wasn't satisfied. Got three drinks for $6.99 under the "TooGoodToGo" app. It's mystery drinks but a great deal compared to other boba places that charge $6.99 and up for just one drink. You can reserve for drinks by hour for pickup. Just make sure to check in and let them know you are picking up your drink through the app so they can make the drinks on-the-spot. read more

I got the hainan chicken with the ginger sauce in the side. I would say that they give a lot of food for the price that you're paying for. The service was quick and they bring you your food since you order and pay on a tablet first. They do not validate parking if you park in the structure that it's attached to. Overall it's a nice place to get a quick meal and drink. I will have to come back to try their other items. read more

One of the newest tea/boba shops in the area. I got a deal from the Too Good to Go app where I got 3 drinks of their choice. I was surprised that they were still freshly made so it took about 10min. Honestly, its a steal for the price. I think they are only doing that to get some foot traffic but I would come back even if they don't have the deal on the App given how good their teas are. read more

We ordered ahead of time and had to order again in the kiosk, we waited over 40 mins for our order despite ordering AHEAD of time. There was literally NO ONE when we were in the cafe, despite the people who already had their orders who left after ~ 5 mins, so it was just us. We had to ask for assistance because we've waited for so long, which was when it reached 40 mins. They told us that they'll "make it right now"... I don't usually complain about waiting or any other experience that has to do with waiting-- but the fact that there was no one there earlier and everyone else that came, AFTER a few mins later after we'd ordered, got theirs actually makes me so peeved. The drinks were ok, they lacked sweetness though, but if you like non sugary drinks you could probably go for this. It kinda make sense since there was no option to do no ice, otherwise the kiosk said that you'd have to find a new place-- or smth like that. The area seemed to still be going under renovation, lots of areas open for seating since people left after ordering and eating. They did clean after which was nice, apart from that it was ok, waiting time was awful, especially since we ordered when there was no one there from the start. read more
