Came here with a group of friends for an outing on a Saturday. My friend organized; apparently she just called and told them we'd have a group of 6 and they set it up. They told her they would only have four techs working so we'd have to go in groups, which was not an issue at all. There was nothing fancy about the service (though they do give you a shoulder massage with a manicure, if you want). Prices were super reasonable, my mani and pedi were less than what I've paid for just a mani other places nearby. Again, nothing super memorable but they did a good job and were great about accommodating our group of 6. They also are BYOB, which is nice, and something we took advantage of for our girls outing. read more

This place is really close to me so, it's super convenient to go to. I usually get my nails done before coming to Chicago but this time I didn't have time. I came here to do a "no chip" manicure. I get gel manicures all the time and they are suppose to last 2 weeks. Usually, I can make them last a month without chipping. The cost here isn't cheap either. It's $40 for a no chip manicure and I usually pay half that in New York. So, I'm expecting these nails to last me a LONG time. However, when I came to Belle Spa this manicure lasted me 1 day. Technically, it lasted less then that. When I walked out of the salon one of my nails actually had these scratch marks on it. No big deal. I walked back into Belle Spa the same day and the lady fixed it free of charge. The next day my thumb chipped! It didn't even chip in the end it chipped right in the middle! I added a picture of is. But how does that even happen?! That's NEVER happened to me EVER. Not to mention after 2 days two other nails had chips in it! I was so upset because I was heading back to New York and I didn't have time to have it fixed. So, I basically just pissed away $50 for something I could've have gotten done for half of that somewhere else and it would've actually lasted me 2 weeks. I'm so upset. Also, not to mention when I was getting my nails done I noticed the tools weren't fresh. I'm not sure what the rules are in IL but in NY the technicians always use brand new nail tools meaning new cuticle cutter, new nail file, new nail clippers, new everything. The nail tools they use here aren't new. Usually in NY they even open a brand new bag just to show you that they're not reusing their tools. I will not be returning back here. read more

Love this place that is right across the street from Arsova Salon where I work and I always get my nails done here and send all of my clients to them! They are very sweet and professional, so clean and welcoming. They were missing few colors tho (but the great thing is that they will listen and if you give them the name or# of the color they will order it for you. Went here with a group of ladies last week. The service was great, although there are some gaps in what services they offer compared to other salons in the area. One example is that they don't offer acrylics. They also had limited colors for no chip manicures. The atmosphere was pretty nice overall and the place was very clean. My biggest complaint is that my no chip manicure chipped the day after I went here. Now, one week later, it's badly chipped on three nails. This place is not good. I used prettyquick to book a no chip mani/pedi. The pedi was just ok...BUT the mani was awful. Sooo bad. First, she scraped and scraped at my nails to get my previous no chip off. Um, I could have peeled it off lady. The paint job was one of the worst I have seen. She cut my cuticles so short I bled. I made a reservation for 3 people about a week in advance of a Saturday afternoon but it actually wasn't that busy. When we walked in they took us right away to pick our colors and start the pedicure. They have massage chairs you can control yourself and a tv/magazines in case you're not in a chatty mood. The woman who did my signature mani/pedi, Zaya (sp?), was friendly, thorough, and did a great job overall. I waited a few days to write this review because I wanted to see how it would hold up and no chippage yet! First time here and the place is very clean. I was able to walk in and get a no chip manicure right away during lunchtime on a Wednesday. They didn't have the color I wanted but was able to find another color. I had Anna as my nail tech and she was great. She did make two of my cuticles bleed a little bit BUT my nails look awesome. There is are no weird air bubbles in the polish that sometimes happens when I go to other salons. The color was put on evenly and smooth. The shape is exactly how I wanted it. First off let me start by saying my nail tech Davaa was great and very professional and did an amazing job. She was friendly and took care in her job. Had the other issues not happened they would have gotten more stars. Now where do I begin. The receptionist and one of the other nails techs were fighting. Very obviously fighting in front customers. The nail tech yells shut up walks out and doesn't come back for ten min all while her client is in a chair waiting. The receptionist then goes outside for a phone call on her cell and you can tell she's having a heated conversation. When she does come back in after a few min the receptionist goes to get the cordless phone from the nail techs station and they are literally having a tug of war over the phone while leaning over the client. Completely unprofessional. I went to have a relaxing experience and did not get that. $50 for a basic pedicure that at home I would have gotten the top service pedicure. Waste of money. The whole experience was completely awkward for an hour+ while these two women fought. If I lived here I would definitely not come back. When I paid I was waiting for a receipt while the receptionist was sending an email or something on her cell phone. She looked at me and said do you need something. I said yes my receipt then I received it. Not the type of person that should be what you see and deal with when walking into an establishment. read more

I came here with a group of girls over the weekend to kick off a bachelorette party. We all got manis and pedis, and quite honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I've had my nails done - a lot - and have been to some great places and some horrendous places. This place ranks near the top - no question. All the nail technicians were really nice, professional, and seemed to work very efficiently. The result was a relaxing experience with some badass nails. It's only been two days since, so I can't really speak to the longevity of the mani/pedi, but so far my nails have lasted through doing a lot of dishes and giving my baby a bath a few times. That alone is a big feat, so Belle Spa & Nails already wins in my book. The salon itself is very clean and has a great vibe. They also have one of the largest color selections I've seen. This place is a neighborhood GEM. * Totally reasonable pricing * Very calming environment - I feel like sometimes nail salons can be stressful, like super cramped or really aggressive harsh lighting or questionably clean? This place is the opposite and has a spa vibe without going overboard. * The mani/pedi is very relaxing - I highly recommend. They don't rush through. Crank up the chair massage, sit back, and then move to the manicure. They'll give you a little shoulder rub after lotioning your hands and covering them in a hot towel. Meh. Came here with my best friend for a girls weekend back in Chicago. I looked for a BYOB nail salon on Yelp near our hotel, which is how I found this venue. They are BYOB friendly which is awesome when you want champagne around the clock. However, the staff are pretty unfriendly (and mind you me and my friend aren't Midwesterners...but alas!) and made us feel quite judged. Also, the manicure was extremely poor quality and chipped off a day later. They tried to rush us out despite salon being empty. I called in for an appointment for a mani as this would be my first mani in Chicago; I just moved here a couple of days ago. When I got to my appointment, "Boo" was very friendly, asked me to pick a color; I did, and then I asked her, since it wasn't too busy, was there any way I could add a pedicure to my appointment. She said she needed to check and then said she'd be able to accommodate my request. Now, I also informed, "Boo" as well as the guy who was starting my mani "Kel" that I had gel on my toes (remember this part for later). Kel was nice; however, he didn't soak my dip powder off entirely, and when I asked him to ensure everything was off, he seemed a bit annoyed; however, I didn't understand how he would start the process of polishing while noticing that all the dip powder I came in with wasn't wholly off. Hence, he proceeded to remove the excess dip powder and finish up the process. After Kel was almost done, another lady named "Michelle" came over and said, "Stacie, since you didn't book an original appointment for a mani + Pedi, we're going to need you to come back later for your Pedi because you'll need to soak the gel off of your toes" I then said to her well when I came in I asked the other young lady if I could add the pedicure service to my appointment and I also informed her that I had gel on my toes and dip powder on my hands; "Boo" already said "yes" which means "Boo" probably didn't add the service to my appointment in the system. When Kel was starting on my service around 12:10 pm, another lady walked in and made an appointment on the spot to come back for 1:30 pm. If "Boo" would've put my add-on pedicure in the system, maybe this wouldn't have happened, but communication and professionalism seem to be lacking in this particular establishment. I also told Michelle that if the soak-off part was the issue, I could've started soaking at 12:10 pm when "Kel" started my service. Michelle didn't seem to care much, and I will not spend my money here ever again. My first nail salon experience in Chicago was a disaster. Still, I'm hopeful that the next experience at a different salon in Chicago will be much better! read more
