After getting in touch with a store manager who had excellent customer service skills and should train all her coworkers, we finally got our door installed. I hate giving bad reviews but this store deserves this for my experience here today. I waited for 2 hours for help an hour of which was after the store was closed and i was the only customer still waiting for my online order pick up. The online order mind you was only for 15 pieces of lumber, placed a week in advance, paid for and everything. Customer service staff clearly looked overwhelmed by the online orders. I talked to several employees while i was there in the hopes of getting my order filled. Starting with Deana, A lady named Sam, another lady named Frankie all at the customer service counter. The store manager Daniel eventually came down and apologized for the long wait. They kept calling someone named Augustus from Lumber to pick up but my dude was no where to be found. Today I have had enough of the Vallejo Lowes. When to but a single length of copper pipe. They had no tag to scan so I took it up to the register. The clerk said " oh, you need to go back and take a photo of the price bar code". Seriously!! There is a book which this lazy clerk refused to look in or look it up on you PC. I am truly disappointed with Lowe's specially Lowe's in Vallejo. First of all, I generally love Lowe's, we have a construction company and Lowe's is our go to place plus we personally buy all our big appliances there... or did I should say. Recently we purchased a LG washer and dryer (not to mention a year ago we also purchased a LG washer but sold our house and had to get new appliances) Well they were suppose to be in the store December 12, 2018 for us to pick up. On December 13th will driving to pick them up we decided to give Lowe's a call (just in case) and good thing too! We were told that the appliances were not there and that they wouldn't be there until mid January! I spoke with everyone, customer service, appliances, a manager and the manager was going to see if he could find the appliances in any other Lowe's and have them sent to us. He was suppose to call me back the next day. BUT... he didn't. My husband called the day after that and the manager wouldn't even talk to him and directed the call to appliances, there my husband was told the manager would call him back. Which once again didn't happen. I called the next day and asked to speak with the manager who never got on the phone and had me speak with customer service for about the 7th time. I understand the appliances aren't there but I'm extremely disappointed that first of all no one had the courtesy to give us a call to let us know, luck for us we called before driving all the way to pick them up. Second, the manager never got back to us with a solution. Third we weren't even able to talk to the manager again because he kept avoiding the call. Who does that? And I'm a super calm person but by the 7th time on the phone with customer service telling me to go pick out different appliances as my only solution and the manager not even getting on the phone to follow up I felt super frustrated. Now I'm stuck in a new home, having to wait for a month until I get my appliances. Which means I'll need to take time out of my day and spend money doing laundry in a laundry mat which personally I find disgusting. This situation was handled poorly and the last customer service rep I spoke to although she tried to keep polite she kept interrupting me mid sentence, repeating the same story and said they couldn't do anything if the appliances where in the middle of the sea on a boat. But that's not my problem. My problem is that Lowe's needs a more accurate system, managers need to own it and follow up with the customer and when the manager does follow up if there's no solution then they should have apologized for not being able to find a solution and offered me a $100 buck discount/gift card (anything) for the inconvenience of having to deal with this as a loyal customer. At the end of the day it's about keeping your customer happy; as a business that should be your #1 goal but that was not done. read more

On July 5th, I went to Lowes Vallejo to buy a few things. Since I am disabled and use crutches I used the motorized cart they provide. I did my shopping and went to customer service to check out since the motorized carts are near there. I was checked out but never saw what was placed in my bag since there is a protective barrier. I paid and went home. Once I was home, I unpacked the bag. I was missing a packet of 11" plastic cable ties @ $3.18. I immediately called and spoke to woman who sent me an email to give my receipt details to help her find my missing packet. A couple of days later, she sent me a reply stating that they do not have my packet and that she implied I had them. What I want to create a hassle for $3.18? What a bunch of crock. Everyone should unpack your bag from Lowes before leaving the store because once you leave and they have your money you are out of luck. Customer service sucks, and I am mad as hell. This is our go to hardware store in Vallejo we used to go to Home Depot because they carried our golden fire pellets that my husband loves. Home Depot stop selling them about six years ago and we found them at Lowe's and we've been going there every since. Everyone there is always so nice and helpful . The ladies in the front are always helpful in the evening. We came in the other night to pick up some pellets and a young man by the name of Jamall helped my husband load all the pellets on the back of our truck. He was so polite and friendly. read more

I'd like to sing the praises of Daniel Marling, Sales Specialist at Lowe's in Vallejo. This guy stayed overtime to help me sort out a pick -up order for a friend, that I seriously wouldn't have been able to fulfill on my own-I tried. First, the name and model number brought up two different products. Once we established the proper item (after looking at stock, and even referring to the manufacturer online support help), this guy helped me ferry the merchandise and load the huge slabs of countertop into my truck! After instructing me how to secure the items safely, he went back into the store to look for items I'd realized I'd forgotten to get that went with the merchandise. Quick review. For Lowes in Vallejo and Antioch. Called both stores to ask if I can get some assistance with laying down 2200 sq feet of Artificial turf in my backyard. BOTH stores did not have anyone that knew or can help answer basic questions. The lady in Vjo was new and did not even know what artificial turf was?? Does she watch football? Can she put 2 and 2 together? Artificial plus turf...grass+backyard...duh. sorry ne ways. The guy in Antioch was semi helpful, he put me thru Professional Services? The lady answered, said, hold on...rang for 25 times and then she said, she would try and call back, because she didnt know what I was talking about. But, they always seem to have plenty of non knowing vested people that have to ask someone else. I bought a KitchenAid refrigerator from Lowe's. The sales process wasn't bad except that it had to be entered twice because the original person handling the sales didn't know what she was doing. This has assumed larger importance because I have requested service on the appliance. The big home improvement centers are always hot to sell you a service contract for anything bigger than a screwdriver. If you try to use it though, there seems to always be a catch. In this case, Lowe's wants me to produce a copy of the invoice/receipt before they will reimburse me for the food I had to throw away. I bought the refrigerator from Lowe's, financed it through Lowe's, and the service contract is with Lowe's. You would think Lowe's would have a copy of the receipt somewhere. There may have been a receipt but it was never anything I received. This finally got resolved. The reason I am giving Lowe's four stars is because most of the service people I dealt with were exceptionally kind and diligent and that has to count for something. read more

Today we were in this store. Multiple things to buy and only one area were we able to get help, although we spoke to someone in two, making it worse. We were looking to buy a rug and found a large display saying all were 209. There was an employee on the phone, clearly a personal call, who became annoyed when we asked for help and said they were 299 then walked away to continue her call before we were done talking to her. To be fair a lovely young woman from another area came to scan the price, it came up 299 but she said since the sign said 209 she would get the person from the area so help with price. She came back with the same rude person who rudely said she was the manager for the area and despite all the large selection of rugs there said 209 rugs were sold out. Then stating she did not care what that the signs said "your pick 209" those rugs are gone then again rudely walked away. The one young lady should go work elsewhere she is clearly to good for that store. I can see here I am not the only one who feels they are terrible. Lowes in general has always been excellent. Since they clearly cannot find many good employees, they should just close the store. read more

Does Lowe's just hire ONLY miserable people, or what? My husband and I came for blinds with the correct measurements written down. We went over the measurements multiple times with the associate in the Fairfield location, who was really nice and helpful (Conner). She had the blinds cut, and we went home to find that one of the blinds which was supposed to be cut to exactly 58 inches, was cut to exactly 59 inches instead (my husband measured when it wouldn't fit in our window). My husband brought the blinds back to Fairfield Lowe's to let them know that it was 1 inch too long. The original measurement was 58.5 inches and the blinds should have been cut down to 58 inches allowing 1/4 inch on each side. They sent us home with 59 and when we came back they told us their machine was broken. At this point, my husband was dealing with a completely different person (black lady) who did not want to help him even though it was Lowe's mistake. She told him the machine wouldn't cut it to 58, it's broken, and told him to go try Vacaville. My husband asked her to please call them beforehand to make sure their machine is working since he'd already made 1 trip back. The employee did not want to make the call and was irritated that my husband even asked her to. She called the Vacaville location a couple of times, got irritated for being on hold, and tells my husband "she ain't calling back again." My husband asked her what he's supposed to do, then. The employee calls 1 more time and they find out that the Vacaville location's machine is broken too. (So, she would have had him drive to Vacaville to not even be helped, and again it is not even his fault that it was cut wrong.) So then she tells him he can try the Vallejo location. Someone else ended up stepping in to call the Vallejo location and we found out that their machine was working. Next morning we go to Vallejo location and we are helped by someone named Aliyah? (black lady) who seemed completely irritated and upset to have to help us. She was not friendly at all. She told us they should have fixed this in Fairfield or just re-done the whole thing. She was able to help us, but had an attitude the entire time. She also stopped in the middle of helping us to help someone else (which took forever) even though she was already in the middle of helping us. That guy could have waited. Someone very chipper who seemed like a manager called her on the Walkie Talkie and she was even rude to her saying "Dang! What do you need?!?" The other lady came over to talk with her and she was rude to her too! She didn't speak much and when she would speak to us it was short. She didn't even respond to all of our "thank you's", or to her manager saying "appreciate you". She was just completely stone cold. Her attitude was so bad that I feel sorry for her! She must be going through something. I will say she DID know how to use the cutting machine well. The only good experience we had at the Vallejo location was Ralph, who was at the self checkout. I have a couple of large projects that I want to get done before it starts raining. I've been using HD previously, but I thought I'd give Lowe's a try. The closest store is in Vallejo, CA. My first project was complete replacement and frame rebuild on my patio slider entry. While it does function, it's been "out of square" since the earthquake 6+ years ago. A big job. I called and worked my way through the phone option maze to the doors & windows department. I let the phone ring for over 5 minutes with no answer. I called back and chose the Operator option. 4-5 more minutes of listening to a phone ring. Tool Department. Again, no answer. Customer Service... No Answer!! At this point I'd spent at least 20 minutes listening to their phones just ring. Ridiculous. I called back one more time and after a few minutes someone actually answered. I asked for a manager and oddly enough it was a manager who answered the phone. I I told them I HAD been planning to open a credit card account and make several large purchase, but if it's this hard to reach someone just to discuss the possibility of a project there's no way I'm going to put myself through this over and over again during the project! This Mgr told me that they were very busy and people were away from their desks. Ok, that might be acceptable for certain departments, but the Operator or CS Department? No. They should be at their desks doing their jobs 100% of the time! Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. PS - I immediately called Home Depot. Their automated service sent my call to the proper department and I was speaking with an employee in less than 5 minutes! As it should be! read more

What can I say, shopping at this store is an experience everyone must have to appreciate the mom and pop stores. My family and I had to endure 40+ minutes of waiting time to order $300+ worth of paint. It also took another 15 minutes to check out as the front end super could not figure out the pricing. An update review was called for since I had a totally different experience when ordering online. Other than online shopping with Lowe's, I recommend this place. Just avoid doing an in store pick up. On two occasions, my items were never ready at the customer service desk. I had to wait for someone to go and grab my items. This is ridiculous as to what is the point of making a pre-order if it isn't immediately ready? Isn't this service made for convenience purposes? Seriously, I can walk the aisles and grab what I need and cut the waiting time by more than half. The other thing I don't understand is how the supervisor on duty has assigned an employee who could barely walk to fetch my order. To be honest, I really felt bad for her. She was in no condition to be walking in great distances. I felt so bad that I followed her to save her a trip back to the customer service desk. This place is a disaster. We've placed several (really easy) orders for curbside pickup and these people cannot seem to get anything right. They take a really long time bringing items out and then they're the wrong items, missing items, damaged items. We've gotten notification that our order is ready, gone to pick it up, and then it's not even fathered together. Then, I've called ahead of time, been assured that the order was ready, asked them to check to make sure it's actually ready, and it wasn't. I placed an order days ago and it's still not ready, I can't even get through now when I call no matter when it is. The local number and the 800 number just ring and ring and ring, but finally yesterday someone answered, mumbled something unintelligible, then hung up on me. I want to cancel my order but no one will answer and they don't provide that option online or on the app- they don't want people to be able to cancel their orders. My next step is to dispute the transaction on my CC because I have been calling for days and no one ever answers. read more

So I'm here to get paint. Nobody is there. I step away to press the help button which is a few yards away. After I press the button and I hear the pa chime, people began to line up by the desk. The person doesn't even come to me and begins helping the people who showed up after. I retrieve my cart which was at the front of line and nobody in line cares even though they saw me stand at the desk, leave to request help and return for my cart. I go to press the button again, the employee walks past me to turn it off. I let her know I was there first but I'm not interested in troubling her and making her look bad in front of the other customers by demanding she help me and tell her I'll be back. I come back wait while she helps the other customers and when I make my order for paint "oh I have to go to the back" she comes back to tell me they don't have it. Thanks for being inconsiderate and wasting my time. And I've been waiting for a while in the phone to address this and my call keeps getting bounced to the automated bot. read more

I love Lowes! You walk in and everything is organized and the staff are friendly and helpful. This Lowes is the exception! The worst customer service I have ever experience. The guys in the wood department could not have been more rude or annoyed at my need for assistance. The three times I walk past them, hoping they would ask me if I needed help, they were thoroughly engaged in their own conversation and could not have been less eager to help. When I finally did Muster the courage to stop and ask them for help, they gave me a quick answer and then acted like I shat in their hand when I didn't understand the answer. The other staff were a little nicer, but we're very busy doing their own things... Putting things away in the store, having conversation with other staff, and generally avoiding customers. Absolutely the worst customer service department. All of our deliveries were never on time as scheduled. Don't even bother trying to call in. We have call multiple times and have been hung up on sometime after waiting on hold for 30 min while they try to figure out what going on withbour orders. So we show up and they are just as clueless. An employee actually told us they we have to call early so they aren't busy in the store. ZERO customer service skills. The whole department needs to be trained in some way and management needs to be held accountable. Speaking of management when we called to complain as we are at the end of or rope with Lowes they stated they woukd send a follow up email and never received anything. On a recent visit I misplaced my phone. They did everything they could to help me locate it. Amanda was very helpful in particular as was a gentleman who I believe was either the manager or assistant manager, whose name I am unfamiliar with. We stopped by Lowes to pick up 12 bags of bark to replenish our yard. All of the bags were on pallets up overhead where there was no way to get it, with only 2 busted bags on display. My husband went to ask for assistance in getting the bags down, and he was told someone would help us. 20 minutes went by with no word. He asked again receiving a response that was inconclusive. We kept waiting. Eventually,my husband spoke to the blonde woman directing the forklift driver out front. She told him the bark was in the store...which we knew. When we told her it needed to be brought down by forklift and we were waiting for help, she replied "we are kind of busy". And turned away. Very disappointed. Had an order that i havent received an email stating items are ready for pick up in over a week, so i thought due to covid there are delays which is expected. Curious, i checked through the website by my order number and it says its been ready since June 25th. So i decide to call and confirm before making a trip out, no one answers the phone for at least 30 minutes of trying. I decide to drive to Lowe's curbside pickup with my 3 kids bec i really needed these items and was relieved to see a sign that said 15 minutes turnaround for curbside/online orders. I call in the store numerous times and it rings out, but a couple times when someone picks up and doesn't say a thing but instead an employee just picks up the phone and leaves it on the line so that i'd stop calling. No greeting or anything when the line is picked up. I can hear conversations but they aren't towards me. Almost as if they just wanted me to stop calling so they didnt have to hear the ringer. Waited for assistance to come with crying kids in the car for about 30 minutes hoping to get my order. I contracted for a new fence with the Vallejo store. Larry their only fence contractor, 4 hours into the job (old fence completely torn down). told me Not asked) how my fence was going to look like and stated he did not have the wood to build the style fence I contracted. confronted out of the blue and not appearing to have much options, I did not resist as much as I should have (my bad). The end job had tons of defect and my neighbor got upset with the fence change (think I was behind it). After clearing that up, thank god for my Arlo cameras. The contactor never spoke to my neighbor (we went 50/50 on mutual fence) Complaints to lowe's, have been met with only a simple apology. 8 weeks the repairs have not been done, no resolution to satisfy us that we got the wrong fence and have to go through this aggravation. This week, Lowe's response seemed to favor the contractor, that we some how got a better deal in the end and want us too wait additional weeks for fixes. The rep we been dealing will be on vacation and referred us back to the vallejo store.
