If I could give zero stars, I would. I came into this Lowe's fully intending to purchase carpet and installation for one of my properties. I also have flooring that needs to be done at another property, and I was deciding between Lowe's and Home Depot. After my interaction with an employee named Adam, Lowe's has lost at least a few thousand dollars of my business, potentially more. From the beginning, Adam was incredibly dismissive. I explained what I was looking for and asked reasonable questions about the flooring and estimate, and rather than engaging with me normally, he repeatedly stared at me blankly, as if my questions were stupid. If that wasn't what he intended to communicate through his body language, he should be aware of how negatively this behaviour comes across socially. Staring blankly at a customer after they ask a question, rather than engaging with or answering them, is not a positive or professional way to communicate. When he began putting together an estimate, I noticed that the numbers were significantly different from the estimate shown online and asked him why. Instead of simply explaining the discrepancy, he looked at me and asked, "Are you okay?" in an extremely disrespectful and patronizing manner. I responded, "Are you?" and asked to speak with a manager. He then told me that he was answering my questions, "just not the way you want me to," despite the fact that I was asking for clarification precisely because my questions were not actually being answered. When I requested the manager, he sarcastically said, "I'm calling the manager. Is that helpful enough for you?" I told him that he actually had not been helpful at all, at which point he simply walked away and left me standing there without telling me whether a manager was coming. I ultimately had to find another employee and ask them to call a manager for me. The interaction also had extremely misogynistic undertones in my opinion. The combination of the condescension, dismissiveness, patronizing "Are you okay?" response when I questioned the estimate, and general manner in which he spoke to me left me feeling that I was not being treated with basic professional respect. The assistant store manager who eventually spoke with me was very nice, listened to what happened, apologized, and told me he would address it with Adam. I genuinely appreciated how he handled the situation. Unfortunately, by that point the damage had already been done, and I will be taking these flooring projects elsewhere. Lowe's needs to emphasize basic social and customer-service skills with its employees. Customers should be able to ask questions about purchases costing thousands of dollars without being mocked, patronized, or treated as though they are an inconvenience. And even if a customer were being difficult--which I was not--an employee responding with sarcasm and disrespect is incredibly unprofessional and an excellent way to lose business. In this case, that is exactly what happened. read more

Seems I should be able to leave zero stars. Accompanied my friend who had to pay for a carpet purchase. She requested a receipt and was told she was unable to get one. The employee, Sage, and the supervisor were so rude, unfriendly, annoyed and condescending. And my friend wasn't able to cancel the transaction because there would be a 'restocking fee' - even tho the stock hasn't come off the shelf yet!! There was no 'Thank you, sorry for the inconvenience' or ANYTHING like that, just a sarcastic "Yep" from Sage. Based on that interaction I will never shop at Lowe's again. read more

My wife and I have bought a lot of plants, bushes and other items from this store as it is close to our home. We used to buy all of our plants at Home Depot but we enjoyed the atmosphere more at Lowes. One of the many plants we bought here didn't make it and died about 5 or 6 weeks after purchase. When I brought it back to claim on the dead plant guarantee I was informed that was good only for the first 30 days and offered nothing. At Home Depot the guarantee is for a year. So now we will return to buying all of the plants for our sizable yard there instead of Lowe's. read more

This place is a joke. No one knows anything about anything. I feel like they scammed me; I bought a pressure washer at this location and I took it out of the box 1 time and IT DID NOT WORK. They would not take it back. Interestingly the floor manager told me when I bought it he marked them down, I wonder why?.... Please do not buy anything from them of any value. I left the pressure washer with them, it was not worth my time. I had this happen with a couple other items I purchased at this location. They say they are customer oriented, but when it comes time for them to stand behind the products they don't. I buy a lot of construction supplies and I am going to instruct my employees and teams not to buy anything from Lowe's. This small purchase will affect them more than they even know. DECEPTIVE BUSINESS!!! RUDE EMPLOYEES!!! BAD MANAGER!!! The manager Danny and his night team have very bad attitudes, and are very rude and condescending. Neither the person who helped my find the item to the person checking me out told me about the 48 hour return window and that I can't open the item. It's not printed at the cash register. It's not on the receipt. THE MULTIPLE PEOPLE I TALKED TO DID NOT TELL ME!!!! The manager Danny said this happens all the time and people get upset, and there's nothing he can do. I said, if this happens all the time, there's clearly a problem they should own and fix. As the store leader, he should take ownership of there customer experience for what THEY CAN AND SHOULD actually do: 1.) Make sure your employees educate customers on the policy when customers are trying to buy the item. 2.) Post the policy at the register. The printed policy at the register mentioned pressure washers and generators, not portable AC units. 3.) Post the policy where they are being sold and on the boxes. 4.) Print it on the receipt. 5.) Make a sign on the way out within normal height and readable letters. He was extremely condescending and told me to educate myself on the policy then pointed to a sign you can't read while walking out of the store because it's too high with small thin letters. Who has a 48 hour return policy??? Maybe 7, 14, or 30 days, but 48 hours? Oh, and you can't open it. How would you know if it isn't posted anywhere you can see and nobody tells you even though they know it's always upsetting to customers and results in a poor experience. Now I'm out $750 with a product we hate and doesn't meet our needs. I've been remodeling two bathrooms and in that store multiple times, and they always have bad attitudes. I won't be spending any more money there ever again. They've lost the thousands of dollars we're spending on our current remodel and all future business. I'll be posting my reviews on every site possible and reporting Lowes to the BBB. I will continue to tell the world about this and the many other bad experiences we'd had here. This review is because of a corporate manager named Shawn. I had the most awful experience with this CM. Few months back, we (me and husband) purchased carpet from Lowes, Keller interior was to install. The first installer did such a horrendous job, the entire carpet needed to be reinstalled. If we wanted the same carpet, we would have to wait 2 months for it to be shipped so we opted for another carpet that was $1 less per sq yd that the original. The delay caused severe stress and anxiety on our part due to this room needing to be done so other home projects could move forward. Keller did come back and install a month later and Jose did a wonderful job. We wanted to be compensated for the carpet difference and possibly a little extra due to the wait, and stress. Every staff member I spoke to with the installation Dept said I would be reimbursed the difference. Then after several weeks of nothing from Lowes, I called to inquire only to end up speaking to Shawn a corporate manager who 1. would not take anything I said into consideration, 2. interrupted me multiple times, 3. told me I was "out of luck" because the carpet was installed despite staff telling me I had to wait for any kind of reimbursement until the carpet was installed, 4 told me I would get 10% back after I was able to explain the severe lack of training with staff, that Lowes uses ONE installer (who sent a person who was clearly not qualified and Keller manager knew it, admitting to my husband of other complaints) and 5 how severely disappointed I was. I had to call Lowes back and when I did, Shawn put NO notes in my account to reflect the 10% he said he would give, only to be told Shawn now changed his mind and said here is $75 gift card to a store I will no longer purchase items from. This is all due to Shawn a corporate manager who clearly does not care about his customers and because of that, Lowes gets 1 star and lost a custom - a veteran - I will never go back to Lowes because of Shawn!!! read more

Things couldn't have gone better I got an 20 dollar electrical adapter for less than 6 bucks on their online special. But that's not the best part. The best part is Jeff. Interesting experience today...need a garbage disposal, found one on Lowes website, 2 in stock, so I ordered for in-store pickup and was given a 3 hour window before the order would be ready. An hour and a half later, I got an email indicating my item was no longer in stock. I still need a garbage disposal, so I go to Home Depot website, find one, put it in my cart for pickup later that day. I was given a 2 hour window for my order and 20 minutes later I got the email indicating it was ready for pickup. Fun dichotomy...one store had it ready in 20 minutes, the other took an hour and a half to tell me it's out of stock, guess where I'll be shopping in the future? This would be a one star rating if it weren't for their outdoor plant department. read more

Never buy appliances from Lowe's, especially East Chandler. Purchased a fridge, didn't work, they delivered another, (this took a week) scratched my front door. I lost 200$ worth of food and when i told them all they would do is give me phone numbers of who to call to complain. Those numbers turned to be no help and is part of a scam to keep you calling all these numbers over and over. They take no responsibility for their product or customer service. read more

After purchasing a dishwasher and hiring Lowe's to deliver and install the dishwasher I've had one of the most problematic experiences I've had after 13 years of homeownership. The installer was quick, but apparently the dishwasher had been leaking for a few months before we noticed that it was not connected properly. After reporting this to Lowe's, they sent the manufacturer out to check the dishwasher wasn't the issue, which took about a week. After that the installer came out and made sure it wasn't leaking anymore which he was able to do in around an hour. The drainage hose had been kinked when the dishwasher was put back in resulting in a leak, and also the water input wasn't sealed correctly apparently. The installer told me he had been back to 4 jobs to fix the same issue from the same guy that had installed mine. Seems pretty cut and dry it was a faulty installation, but still a month and a half later they haven't been able to figure out who is at fault. Today a new Lowe's person contacted me and is saying it was a manufacturer defect now because Teflon tape had to be used to keep the connection water tight. After checking the dishwasher manual it says you would need to have that available to install the dishwasher. This is getting ridiculous and there is a mold hazard in the center of my home this whole time. Don't ever hire Lowe's installation. read more

"Curbside pickup" is ridiculous. Won't be going back. This was my second or third time trying it (thinking it would have improved in the last few months). Curbside pickup must translate to 'after calling the line to tell them you are there, wait in your car for 10 mins before getting frustrated then go inside to pick up the order yourself'. I don't know how they wouldn't have this figured out by now. 0/10 would not recommend. And then they upsell mylowes.com to sign up which a 30 second transaction turns into 20 plus minutes.... Another customer walked by as he entered with his wife... 15 minutes later he walked up to check out and I was still two back just like when he entered.... Probably not a good idea to be at this check out. Cashier maybe you should go to self check out... why so I can wait for an other clerk to come help check me out when the barcodes don't read.... I am glad that these home improvement store have a good selection of things. On the other hand, because of its size, it can be hard to find assistance. At least they are configured the same so you can typically find what you need by going to the same area as your regular store. Our shower pull broke off and naturally they were out of a part. Even one day my girlfriend went to go pick up dirt in the pick up area, and they send an old lady out to pick up 50 pound dirt bags. This place was the absolute worst level of customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a Weedwhacker and leaf blower two days ago and it worked for one day and then the battery stopped working and stopped charging. I bought a replacement plan which they told me was no hassle in honored in the store. I showed up at the store asking if I could have the battery and charger replaced at their customer service counter and employee name Jadon told that I would have to contact Craftsman. I said I just bought this two days ago. It looks brand new. Can't you guys change it out or something so he asked somebody to go look for a battery and then completely brushed me off. I asked to speak to his boss and a supervisor named David came out . This guy is the epitome of anti-customer service. The look of apathy and straight up not caring one bit about customer service was so apparent in the way he talked down to me. He told me that I would have to call the number on the receipt for the replacement plan and that they weren't going to help me. Then when I looked on the receipt there was no number there so he told me to have a good day and leave the store. I will admit that I was a little short because I felt like I was brushed off but this guy David should not be supervising anything or anybody. I purchased a microwave/wall oven combo on 11/15/23 and on 1/25/24 it was finally installed. I was excited about getting a new oven with an integrated air fryer, unfortunately the entire experience was unprofessional, vulgar, and shameful. My original oven was lost in transition, however, the appliance team (Raven & Josh) went oven and beyond to secure another oven for me. When then oven was finally delivered (2 days before Christmas) it was placed in my living room because it was supposed to be installed the following day. Sadly, the installation company cancelled twice and the oven remained in the living room while I was hosting family for the holidays. We did not move in fear that it would get damaged. Finally, someone came to install the oven and the installation person claimed the oven was dented and it did not fit in the opening. Raven and Josh, again were very accommodating and located another oven. The installation company went to Lowe's (Baseline and Rural) to pick-up the new oven. The store manager (Christina) was unable to locate the oven. The installation company was VERY unhappy by how the front office treated them and left. I called and spoke to Christina and she was VERY busy and said I needed to call back because there was nothing she could do. I went back to the store to speak with Josh or Raven and they were apologetic and did not understand how that happened since it was sitting in the back. Raven labeled the oven with my name so there would be not mistakes when the next installer was schedule to pick-up. Finally, the oven was picked up and installed. Unfortunately, the installer was not told he may need to make adjustments to the wall and did not have the necessary material. At this point I asked him to leave it as is and I would pay a different company to install the oven that I paid Lowe's to install. This was the WORST retail experience I've ever had (Lowe's at Baseline & Rural, Tempe AZ). Lowe's is a huge company that should ensure their managers are equipped to handle difficult situations and be problem solvers like their staff (Raven and Josh). It a time when brick and mortar stores are closing the customers that walk in their doors should be treated with respect. I don't recommend anyone shop at the Lowe's on Baseline and Rural, Temp AZ. You will receive better service at anyone of the Home Depots in the area. read more

I am a combat veteran and for anyone considering any type of home renovation, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM Lowe's Home Improvement. A year ago we purchased kitchen cabinets in cash. They arrived damaged. It took months for them to reorder. When we thought the store reordered, we found out that they forgot to place the order. A year later, we finally got our cabinets installed but they are still damaged. The lack of communication is ridiculous. On top of all that, they only want to compensate us $104 of $24,000. He said, I quote: "No. Wouldn't be working here if we did." Asked where the bathroom exhaust fans were. Lady gave me an attitude and pointed at the ceiling fans right in front of us. .... Exhaust fans lady not ceiling fans.... Asked where caulking is and they took me to the wrong aisle. Finally, trying to check out and cashier makes me communicate with her via speaking into an app on her phone. read more

I ordered a microwave from the Tempe Lowe's to be installed, but was shocked to see the installer CRST Home Solutions with poor BBB ratings. The Colorado office has NO BBB ratings ("NR" rating) and the NJ office has a BBB rating of D+. Given that BBB generally rates business highly at A or A+, it takes a lot of poor work to get a D+ from BBB AZ. Poor installer ratings also reflect on Lowe's and Lowe's need to pay more attention to the ratings and quality of its installers. I see others have had installation problems noted here on Yelp. Apparently Lowe's does not care about customer experiences once we pay for an appliance. I would give Lowe's one star but the employee who helped me cancel the order did a great job. read more

Had an extremely bad experience with Sean a "manager" and Monica in appliances. I came into the store needing a new fridge because mine went out. This was somewhat of an urgent matter because I have a 6 month old baby that we breast feed and we need something right away to keep the breast milk cold. If you have ever had a baby you MNOW how valuable breast milk is! While in the refrigerator section walking around for 30mins and not getting approached for help I eventually interrupted Monica's conversation at her computer. Mind you she had been at her computer the entire time just talking. When I did finally decide to interrupt I only asked her to call someone to help me because we found the fridge and were ready to buy. Her answer was to tell me "I will get to you after I'm done". So my wife, my 6 month old son and I continued to walk around the fridge section for another 15mins with no help and watched Monica keep having her conversation. Now my son is scream crying and I am getting frustrated as I am sure the rest of the store was hearing my son cry I asked once again Monica can you please call someone to help me? She told me to stop being rude and she would help when she is done. I could not believe this response and asked why wont you call someone to help me I have a screaming baby and I just need to know how to pay for this fridge. So she then called a manager...not for help but to say I was rude. Another 10 mins pass Sean came walked right past me, ignored me as I asked if he was the manager and went straight to Monica. After he came up to me and his first response..."So you are the rude guy what do you want". Lowe's is this how you train your staff to act? Is this acceptable for you guys and how you treat customers? I passed Home Depot, Target and a local Appliance store Spencer's to get to Lowes because I normally have a great experience here. All of these other places were way closer. So now I am at Spencer's Appliance store swiping my card for a fridge and they matched your price. Honestly disappointed. read more

My family recently purchased flooring for one of our bedrooms. We made sure the room was ready to make job as easy as possible for installers. Lowe's flooring contractor came out to measure and was very pleased with the floor. We specifically asked about the process and were told the job would be an easy one. When asked about any additional work the representative told us it would be covered under original cost. Many delays getting the install completed with many excuses and confusion from Lowe's staff. Day of installation one of the workers told us it would be an additional $400 and his boss was telling him to leave unless they received the money. Although upset we immediately called Lowe's to make the payment. When speaking with the Lowe's flooring manager he told he did not feel the additional payments was fair and suggested he could make it right with us either the installment company or Lowe's covering the extra cost. The additional " work took less than 15 minutes. After multiple conversations with Lowe's manager he was confident he could arrange reimbursement but we never received any call backs. Multiple stops in store were never effective as the manager was never available, often on lunch break or off for the day. Today we finally received notice after finally getting in contact with management we weee told there was nothing they could do for us. When we challenged that we were put on a very long hold we were offered a $100 Lowe's gift card which we declined. I'm sure Lowe's does not care but they just lost a very good customer. We have shopped at this Lowe's on Baseline in Tempe since it was built. Appliances,lumber, plants and you name it. Thanks Lowe's for your loyalty! read more

Ordered our new windows and floors from this location. There were problems with both. The people who sold us these did not provide accuracy or accountability. They honestly deserve 0 stars. They tried to throw on fictitious charges for the floors even after the install team said that it was no problem. They then proceeded to be rude and talk down to my wife. We are currently 13 months into a 5 months project on our new windows. The windows were ordered wrong and some of them weren't even ordered. One of the windows we were sold, their install partners won't even install. After multiple reorders it looks like they won't even be able to complete it. Please go somewhere else. Lowe's, Lowe's Install Partners, their management and Jason Fajardo will not help you. read more
