Approached an employee who seemed to just finished having a conversation with a co-worker and was now free. When I asked Carl for some assistance in hardware I was greeted with a tone letting me know I interrupted him. I decided to walk off and find what I needed myself, however, during that time, I observed this employee argue with another coworker and then start wandering around ignoring other customers in the aisles. Honestly, if this is the best help you can get, I will just take my corporate account to Home Depot, where the employees don't have an attitude and actually seem to care about what my needs are. read more

We love Lowes! In the paint department, my wife and I needed to match some paints to redo our living room at Kim from the Rt. 31 Syracuse store was incredibly helpful. In needing a new fridge also, she pointed us i the right direction and had our paint all mixed and ready for us. You could tell she valued our time by being effcient in her work and direction and she was just a pleasure to work with. In the refridgerator area, Matt was very helpful during the day answering questions and checking stock for us. Refrigerators have sure changed and he got us up to date with what features we could look for in various models, price points, etc. Later that night, Scott was incredibly helpful and patient with us as we made our final decisions and closed the deal. There was some delay with getting the Lowe's charge card (saved 100 dollars right there) . I had to speak to a representative from their credit department on the phone. This could have been a pain but Scott sanitized his phone, let me speak to the person and we were able to complete the transaction with no problem. Scott had a very good sense of humor, ability to juggle several customers without any of them feeling unsupported and very good overall knowledge of the products and the specifications that would be our best bets! I was annoyed by the people who immediately avoid eye contact when I had questions but what sealed the deal for me was Ana... who was being trained on the register not even caring her mask was half off her face, comically she kept pulling it up to her upper lip like the nose isn't part of the party. This was my first visit to this Lowe's location. I was going there to exchange a pair of Kobalt bolt cutters that had just had it. Lucky for me, Kobalt(Lowe's brand) had lifetime warranty on their tools. I walked in, went to grabbed the same pair from the shelf and headed for customer service. The customer service representative was very polite and was happy to help me. The total transaction took maybe 5 minutes and I was on my way. A pleasant first experience for this store I would say. I am sure I will be back again at some point! Never underestimate the value of a lifetime warranty. You never know when you're going to need it. Thank you Lowe's! They tell you installer/ delivery repairman will show up at such and such a time they don't and no one calls to tell you they aren't gonna be there. I had questions about my Harbor Breeze fan and the worker in the ceiling fan department wasn't very eager to help me or answer my questions. I have a fan that doesn't have a remote and is missing a bulb and he said he couldn't help me unless I find the fan in the store. So I located it, and he said they were out of it. He told me I was out of luck, would need to buy a new fan, and he continued to chat with a fellow co-worker. Turns out, I was able to buy the bulb I needed on Amazon thanks to Googling the specifications of the fan. I was, however, able to buy other things successfully (crystals that absorb moisture in the bathroom, wall hanging hooks, spray paint, tons of low-light plants, soil, etc.). The cashier greeted me with "hello beautiful" and then slipped me his phone number with my receipt. He hasn't been working for long, but there should be some sort training that reminds workers not to do that. The key guy was super helpful and honest. I was trying to find rubber key caps for my keys so I could distinguish 1 from the other. He told me I could just paint it with nail polish. I was aware but didn't want to paint the apartment keys since I didn't own the keys. Thanks for keeping it real! read more

The employees there are always friendly, if you can find them. I've come here often for various necessities and while there can be some good deals, it's definitely on the more expensive side. One day we came in and found a faucet originally $350 for $50! We ended up buying it. I bet you're wondering: what kind of faucet would you spend $350 on?! Unless it gives you personal massages, I have no clue. But for $50, this was an amazing faucet. Being someone who frequently cooks and bakes, I never dreamed of a touch faucet. By simply touching the handle with your fingers, wrist, nose, etc. you can turn it on. This really comes in handy when your hands are wrist deep in ground beef or other various foods. Basically, to end this rant, Lowe's can have amazing deals. Overall, they have a good amount of variety with brands and while some workers have no clue what they're talking about there are other, very wise individuals (usually the older folks who have worked there for years). If you have something you need to fix or buy, they have the necessary components. read more

We bought a refrigerator 1 month and 1 week ago. It stopped cooling. After calling Lowe's customer support, I was informed they only warranty their products for 30 days, and they would not address any concerns past that. Take your money elsewhere, you will get better quality products at your local scratch-and-dent retailer. Horrible products, horrible customer service. read more

My dishwasher died today. I called Lowe's to ask if they had any in stock and was transferred to the appliance department. After waiting on the phone for five minutes the front desk people came back on and asked if they could help me i explained my problem again and they said they would transfer me to the appliance department again. This happened four times and then they hung up on me I called back And the gentleman said the appliance guy was standing right there he would connect me. Nobody picked up the phone. I called back and explained how frustrated I was and he said he would go get the appliance guy and the appliance guy will call me back. After 45 minutes I bought one at Home Depot. We purchased a refrigerator at your store and, as the date grew near for delivery, we became concerned that it might not fit through any of our doors. My husband called the Samsung company and asked if the doors could come off if necessary, or even just the handles. They couldn't answer his question, but referred him to the Samsung authorized repair service. The man there told him that the doors and/or handles could absolutely not come off. So we went back to your store, very nervous and embarrassed, feeling like we might have to cancel the order. Along came KIARA BACKUS, who was so KIND and REASSURING to us! She called the Lowe's delivery people right then and there and found out that they could certainly take off the handles or even the faces of the doors if necessary and there would be no problem. We are so grateful to KIARA for helping us. We left your store hugely relieved. The refrigerator was delivered today with no problem by two very friendly, patient and careful men. read more

I purchased $1,200 worth of replacement windows, gave the man at the Window and Door counter the measurement of my rough openings for my windows, he ordered the windows to be the exact same size as the rough opening. Then I wait over a month for five windows that don't even fit! I am now getting the run-around from the management (they shut their phones off 45+ minutes before they actually close, don't return phone calls as promised, don't deliver in timeframes promised, make promises that they do not keep, shout at customers when the error was with them), have five windows I didn't order and have yet to hear from someone that can or is willing to fix my issue. Calling corporate to complain just sends it back to the problem store! Filing complaints with BBB and NY State Attorney General. Never doing business here again!
